Thread PL: 35,000 | X-Forms: 'BLOOD MOON!' - Makaio is active and boosted by +x1 for 175,000 PL
"Ah, how the time has slipped away from me..." Kanto mused, staring with mild interest as the swathe of red filling the sky of the Distorted Drifts. The 'Blood Moon' affected even the Demon Realm, though most of its denizens called it the 'bloody sky' instead for... obvious reasons. The phenomena filled the plane of existence with even more overflowing negative energy, if such a thing was even possible. It supercharged the power of all demons, and those with demonic energies infused within them... like himself. It forcibly activated his transformation as well, annoyingly enough.
Unlike most of the denizens, Kanto's body did not change. No 'evil' appendages were grown, no muscles enlargement. His aura simply grew sharper, eyes alighting in a slight red glow from beneath his mask as his Power Level rose exponentially. "Such feelings swelling within me are bothersome." He complained to nobody in particular, scarf fluttering as the fallen god contemplated his situation. "To bring me down to the depravity of the very Demons I am not kin with is an insult by the fabric of this realm..." To say that the energy flowing through him was not intoxicating was a lie.
Kanto, however, was made from sturdier stuff - and would not fall victim to petty power trips unlike the trash he wallowed in for the time being. At least... not publicly. The itching sensation to just use this power could be sated, all the way out here in the drifts. Here, any who saw his display of depravity would be cut down. A bluish-purple haze formed around Kanto's right hand, the Demon pulling it back to left a thin slice of energy fly - slicing through one of the smaller islands.

Sensoa had been roaming about, attempting to find the disciples of the young Shinjin Kiko. He didn't know why he was bothering to aid this girl, or wasting time by looking for people he cared nothing about... It wasn't like he had any leads to go on with Hakai however and as such he could only wander aimlessly anyways. The demon brother had covered his tracks well, and this left Sensoa stumped. Now he found himself just doing silly things, like letting Kiko ride on his back and in his fur. It was... strange and he didn't particularly know what he was doing.
The demon was currently walking along unaware he was actually at full strength. The strange events happening in demon realm had left him feeling different as well. Luckily the demon was well versed in self control when it came to his strength, but it was clear something was happening. This left him feeling constricted and dull. He didn't like this damn moon, even if it made him feel powerful. It was something that gave him strength, and all of his inner voice spoke out against this. He despised the sensation of something else aiding or defying him. It was liken to being chained to him, dependence infuriated the demon. Yet for the sake of Kiko, the demon did not fly into a rage. He did not wish to burn her by accident... Barban had truly left a profound effect on him.
It was then that the demon noticed a particularly powerful entity nearby. One with a similar energy to his own, yet seemed similar to the tiny Shinjin upon his back. The demon's eyes narrowed as he continued to walk across the lands, hoping that the energy he sensed would avoid them... or at least ignore them. Something of that level may well spell trouble for Sensoa, and even more so for the tiny Shinjin upon his back...

Kiko's PL: 5,000
Keeping herself snuggly wrapped up in Senny’s comfy fur, Kiko scanned the demon realm for any signs of her disciples. It was really hard to focus enough to try and sense their energy. It was like there was a sea of dark energy that drowned out everything else. Even Sensoa’s energy hurt. It hurt just being close to him, but it was scarier and more dangerous to go it alone. Was this how she had made him feel back on Vegeta? Oof, it really sucked. She wished they didn’t have this effect on each other if only for her own sake. Kiko actually kind of liked Sensoa. He was nice. She could tell. She was a goddess. She had an eye for these things. Heh. Kiko wondered what her teachers would say if they say her in the company of a demon. Relying on him. Some future Supreme Kai… Well… she was still going to do it! Maybe she could even broker some new peace between demons and the Kai! Maybe. “Huh…?”Kiko felt something weird. Something very wrong. Climbing up Senny’s mane to peek over his head, she scanned around. There was someone strong here. Someone stronger than even Brand. Someone… that felt a lot like the demons around here, but also like… a Shinjin. That unsettled Kiko. She had heard stories from her teachers about how rotten fruits were tossed into the demon realm. Kiko shrunk back behind Sensoa a little bit. “Senny… can you feel that…? Something’s wrong… Something’s very wrong… There… there might be another Shinjin down here.”Rotten fruits turned into Shinjin with corrupted hearts. If one had managed to survive down here… to thrive…? What sort of horror would that be? She was scared. Kiko was more scared than she knew how to deal with. What if it came over? What would she say? What would she do? Sliding down Sensoa’s mane, Kiko reached for his hand anxiously. She didn’t… she didn’t want to know. “W-We should go a different way…”

Two Power Levels had come into his range, Kanto pausing his maneuvers but not yet turning around as he picked apart their power. One was a signature even stronger than him, though not by much. Another Demon, empowered by the bloody sky perhaps? It was not this, but the second, that he was interested in. It was strong in comparison to the standard imp, but next to nothing compared to Kanto's might. Yet, it also felt... off. Like the two together were operating at different wavelengths, yet somehow still co-existing. The energy felt reminiscent of bygone days, almost like it was the faint aura of... no. Simply not possible. None of them came down here, at least not that he'd seen.
Kanto attempted to grasp for the future, to see even a glimpse of what was ahead... but he could not. For the first time in a long time, his ability refused to even be used - not even the blurriest of shapes or most abstract of information was shown to him. Troubling. Kanto folded his arms behind his back, taking a deep breath. Fine then. If he couldn't see what was to come with power, he'd use his own eyes instead; There was no way the fallen god could let an opportunity like this slip through his fingers. Even his bloodlust had been abated, curiosity overpowering it.
The normal way to approach someone would perhaps be to do it gradually, but Kanto had other plans. Though his capability for teleportation was stunted to the point where he couldn't travel realms or planets with it, he still had it. A 'Kai-Kai' to shift himself much closer to the source of the disturbance, the air bending and whining in a high-pitched squeal as he popped into existence. Perhaps not the safest way to introduce oneself, bu the 'Shinjin' was focused on efficiency over safety.

Sensoa felt the tiny Shinjin stir, suddenly poking free to look about. She seemed to have sensed the same thing, which seemed to have frightened her. For good reason, the demon realm was home to some terrible monsters, some of them even Sensoa was hesitant to engage in any form. But at the brief moment of him dropping his guard, the demon would notice the individual approaching at high speeds. Sensoa's eyes traveled in the direction of what he sensed, being greeted by an individual appearing. It was a Shinjin alright... but what or why it had come to them was unknown.
"Tch... I seem to attract Shinjin like honey. What are you doing here shinjin? I have little tolerance for your kind..."
That merit didn't hold up to well with Kiko clinging to him, and he instantly realized this. He visibly sagged a bit in his posture for a moment before sighing. He didn't know what was happening or why this shinjin had approached them, but it may not be good. Given the fact the thing felt... wrong. Even Sensoa could tell it wasn't fully a demon, yet it had the properties of a Shinjin ki wise... It felt like an abomination to his Senses. Yet in this realm of monsters, he supposed it wasn't like it was anything new.
"Kiko... hold on tight just in case..."
Sensoa warned the tiny shinjin, as he didn't know if they would be attacked or not. He figured a warning would at least help her cling to him. But given her position, it would be hard to protect her on his back. Yet he didn't want to set her down for some stray demon to snag up while he was preoccupied fighting.

Kiko felt it before it happened. Something about that rotten Ki had noticed her. And she felt the subtle warp in reality. A Kai Kai?! Clambering up Senny’s mane, Kiko peeked over his head as a masked person appeared before them. They were dressed in the holy garb. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. This was a rotten Shinjin. Kiko’s fear and worry were also accompanied by a curiosity. If Senny could be nice, what about a rotten Shinjin? Were… were they wrong to cast them down from Otherworld? These weighty questions were probably not right to ask now. She glanced down at Senny as he spoke, scowling a little at his commentary. She bonked him lightly on the head.
“Hey! I’m not just a Shinjin! I’m going to be the next Supreme Kai! Get it right, Senny.”
She blinked when she heard his warning and swallowed her pride for the moment to grab two big handfuls of his mane and bunker down in case he took off. Still, Kiko was curious. Sensoa seemed hostile, but it was entirely possible that this rotten Shinjin would help them. That he could be nice too. It was a little eye opening for Kiko. She… she had been taught that all demons were evil. But at least Senny was different. And, where there was one, there had to be more, right? Senny wasn’t the exception! She hoped.
“H-Hey, you there. I am Kiko Kai! Have you seen my disciples? There’s a Hakaijin, an Earthling, and a Majin. We’ve been looking for them.”
She really hoped that this Shinjin had and would point them to them. Then, Kiko could get out of this awful place. Every second felt dizzying. And she was pretty sure that she was only getting worse. She wasn’t sure how the rotten Shinjin had survived this long. If they were made of the same stuff, then shouldn’t this be affecting them too? Maybe they had been so twisted by the Demon Realm that they actually thrived on the negative energies. It certainly felt that way.

"I live here." He responded plainly, tilting his head. "And I have lived here for the past thousand years." 'Live' was a generous term for what Kanto considered imprisonment, but best to keep one's head up in situations like these. Staring closely at the Demon, Kanto was a bit... confused. He had never felt this one's aura before, despite it being large enough to almost entirely eclipse the signature of the Shinjin upon his back. "Tis' it not natural for one to be curious when someone of your caliber suddenly enters their field of sensing?" Noticing the defensive posture being taken, Kanto held a single hand up. "Perhaps such words could be misconstrued easily in this realm. I mean neither of you any harm, and in the event that I was lying it would be child's play for you to dispatch of me, no?"
Fueling a spark of magic within him, Kanto raised the rock below him - flattening it out and allowing the 'Shinjin' to sit upon it as a seat. Crossing one leg over the other, he continued: "Supreme Kai?" the egotistic child certainly didn't seem to be made from the right kind of stuff for a job as infinitely important as a Supreme Kai. "Lofty aspirations, if nothing else... though you do seem quite a ways away from becoming a fraction of the power needed to truly become one." At least she had some semblance of polite behavior within her. "Indeed. A yellow being, a 'majin' I believe, I have met. Twas' not too far from here, closer to the 'city' as some call it."
