Sometimes the best of intentions can lead to the worst results, as the doctors of one of the largest hospitals in Central City were finding out the hard way. It was nothing out of the ordinary for someone of Kuma's strength to show up of their own volition, but it wasn't often a Saiyan would be brought in unconscious. It seemed the young Saiyan had found herself on the bad end of a fight and brought in by a good samaritan, but by the time she woke up the doctors were standing over her curious of her condition when there was almost a second fight then and there. Shooting up from the bed she had a momentary lapse in judgement and began to violently shove people away from her, then in an instant she was on the ground on her knees sobbing. All at once the pain she felt when she was killed, the memories of confusion when she woke up on the city street somehow alive once again, and she couldn't compose herself enough to realize where she was or what was going on.
In a panic and groggy state she stood up, wiping her eyes with her arm as she stumbled around on her feet, still pushing people away from her and looking for the exit. Clarity came for a brief enough moment to realize she was on a hospital gown, almost tearing it off angrily until she came to her senses as she spotted her clothing in a pile on a nearby counter, grabbing for them and dashing for the door. More times than she cared to admit she fell as she tried finding her way to an exit, clinging her clothes to her chest and growling out at anyone who came close enough to touch her until she stumbled out the front exit and stood a few feet from the door in a haze as if she had no idea where she was and stayed that way for several moments.

Belle's PL: 46,000 Aura Block: Active (Set to 100)
It was a dreary day in the hospital again. Belle stared at the tray in front of her with a dismal glare. On today’s menu was a slice of white bread, some green jello - they were trying to change it up from the usual orange or red flavors, she guessed - and mashed potatoes. Because the injury had sort of grazed her stomach, they were keeping her diet quiet and boring while it healed. Belle sighed and popped open the little jello carton first. She always started with it first because it was the best thing on the whole tray. Crumpling the foil lid and tossing it over onto the tray, she was about to eat when she heard something of a commotion coming from outside of her room. Someone rushed by her door followed by some doctors. Curious, Belle slid off her bed and grabbed her crutches, jello in hand. Hobbling down the hallway, she watched another Saiyan girl pushing people aside and run out of the front door. Frowning, Belle wondered if she should do something. They were a Saiyan. She… she didn’t like that. But… she wanted to make sure that they weren’t up to no good. Shuffling out of the doors in their wake, Belle stared at them as they froze up just outside of the door. Her side started to ache. Belle grit her teeth in pain. Maybe this was a bad idea. But still. She wanted to try and help the staff. “You shouldn’t do that.”

Despite the staff barking at her to come back inside, none of them had physically tried moving her, just sitting either inside or right outside the door watching. A few of the staff had expected her to dash away and weren't trying too hard to help, but seeing her stop as she did caused them all to calm down. The staff of varying positions looked between one another unsure how to respond, and all the while Kuma simply ignored them, not so much planning anything as much as being all out lost in a haze of thoughtlessness. Despite the bit of commotion behind her, it was the young Saiyan coming up to her and speaking that snapped her out of her blank stare, turning very slowly to look down at her. From the look of the person beside her now, they were clearly Saiyan, and clearly in bad shape as well. Here she assumed this place would have been filled with weaker Earthlings, but perhaps she had misjudged the situation and place she had found herself in. In the panic of suddenly waking up in an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar faces she had panicked and ran, but it was slowly catching up to her as she had managed to calm down considerably. "I just needed some fresh air.", forcing a smile. Grabbing at her side she doubled over and fell to a knee, growling as one of the nurses came towards her before wincing and doubling over further.

When the other Saiyan turned to look at her, Belle felt something deep within her recoil and bristle with hostility. Her tail bristled in response to the instinctual reaction. Something in her screamed at her to either attack or run from this Saiyan lady. It took a bit of willpower not to just blast her with telekinesis and run back inside. Tarch wouldn’t like it if she picked another fight while she was hurt. When the Saiyan doubled over in pain, Belle just watched unsympathetically.
“Are you from the Saiyan Kingdom?”
Despite what Tarch would want, Belle wanted nothing to do with the Saiyans from Vegeta. There were the rare exceptions like Ochra, but they were few and far between. Her eyes flickered with telekinetic green as she awaited this Saiyan’s answer. She could help if she wanted. Lift her up with her telekinetic power and just carry her back to her room. But Belle wasn’t feeling that nice right now.

Even in the mental and physical state she was in, the look she was given was a familiar one, even if she had never seen it from someone so young or from her own species. She tried telling herself it must have been a mixture of a pained look and her own mind seeing an issue where there wasn't one given her state of mind, but it stuck with her for a long lingering moment. It took her a long moment to stand back up again, slowly turning back to look at the questioning young Saiyan. "Yes and no. I'm from Vegeta, but I'm not here for them. Just lookin' for a cousin'a'mine and things aren't workin' out too well."
Her eyes stayed fixated on the Saiyan girl, and the longer she stared the less she liked the look in her eye or on her face. Given her size she couldn't have been very old, yet she looked like she had been through one hell of a fight and something was really burning inside of her. "You from Earth? You seem a bit young to be here by yourself. Looks like someone beat you up even worse than me." Kuma wasn't one for tact, and spending the better part of a year by herself and a year before that dead hadn't helped her social skills.

Belle relaxed a little when the Saiyan girl said she wasn’t on Earth for the Saiyan Kingdom. Still, that meant that she was probably aligned with them. And if she was from Vegeta, she probably had the same toxic mindset that her uncle, father and Mister Vocado all had. It was like cultural brainwashing. It made Belle feel sick to her stomach. Apparently, she was here looking for her cousin, which reminded her a bit of her own Uncle Kala - who wasn’t actually her uncle but her cousin. Belle’s tail twitched when the Saiyan girl asked about her.
“No. I’m not. I wish I was. It would have been better than… being born on Vegeta.”
Belle touched her side lightly when the other Saiyan girl mentioned it. She had been in a fight. If one could call it that. It was more like a one sided punting. It hadn’t been a Saiyan to do it to her either, though she had suffered plenty at the hands of them. Belle lifted her eyes up to the Saiyan girl and scowled at her.
“If you’re from the Kingdom then you should hurry up and find your cousin and leave. Before you hurt anyone here. People from the Kingdom can only hurt and take… and the people from Earth are nice. This planet… isn’t meant for the empire.”

There was clearly a lot to unpack from such a single and simple response to her question. So this was clearly a Saiyan from Vegeta, but here she was in an Earth hospital alone, and seemingly against the idea of being from her home planet. Immediately Kuma had no idea how to respond, but she knew this was going to be a delicate situation, which meant she was absolutely certain to put her entire foot in her mouth. "What's wrong with Vegeta?", both her hands resting on her hips before she winced in pain, and took a neutral stance again. "I'm proud to be a Saiyan and proud to be from Vegeta. Never met a Saiyan that wished they were from somewhere else." That was about the best response someone could have hoped from her, but it was still likely to kick the hornets nest given the context. That look she had feeling her own bruises and pain was one Kuma was all too familiar with. Weaker, stronger, it didn't matter, she had been in more fights than years this young Saiyan had likely been alive, and there was no hiding that frustration. The look she was given from her had nothing to do with it, as if Kuma herself had somehow slighted her, and if that look was an attack she would be a red mist by now. "I was from the Kingdom, I guess I still am. I'm not worried about that right now." She could at least cross her arms without wanting to grab at something in pain, but this young girl was far too curious for Kuma to simply walk away from. "Why would I hurt anyone here? No one has done anything to me. You aren't making any sense." Anyone with a few extra brain cells would have figured out that someone involved with if not the Kingdom itself somehow had done serious harm to this girl, but Kuma missed the situation so badly she didn't even see it go over her head let alone fully recognize what she was talking about. Tarch PL: 180,000. Energy Suppressed to 5
As much as Tarch wanted to stay as close to Belle as possible, Central City was probably the best place to bring her. While South City had fine hospitals, only the best were found in Central City. So he quickly flew through the brisk autumn air toward his little sister. The hospital Belle was being kept at was huge. Spanning multiple buildings with all sorts of different sections. Tarch was hard pressed to find the right place. Luckily after asking around he was able to locate the place Belle was supposed to be staying. There was just one issue. Apparently there was a bit of commotion surrounding a particularly rowdy patient.
However, Tarch seemed to arrive at the tail end of the trouble. All he saw was Belle talking to an oddly familiar saiyan woman. He managed to catch the tail end of what Belle had said about all the saiyans from Vegeta. Now obviously he knew for a fact that was not true. He knew at least… one? One saiyan was definitely good. Plus he was good too, though he was from Earth himself. Actually the woman she was talking to kind of reminded him of one of those good saiyans. If only he could place who she looked like in his head.
“I know some great Saiyans from Vegeta.” Tarch called over to his little sister. She was probably still too weak for a full hug. So he settled for wrapping a gentle arm around her head and pulling her close. “How’re you doing kiddo?” This would give him the chance to get a good look at the lady she was talking to. Definitely not who he thought she was. Still he had the slightest inkling that she looked familiar. Probably a coincidence.
“Oh, sorry ma’am. I didn’t mean to interrupt you two. I see you met my sister Belle though!” It was certainly more believable than saying Chromo was his brother. They looked nothing alike, down to the species. Meanwhile Belle at least had the same color hair. Otherwise they still looked mostly unrelated. “I’m Tarch by the way.” He offered a hand to the mysteriously familiar woman. It may have been a small thing, but Tarch was sure a polite handshake would begin to prove that not all saiyans from Vegeta were heartless.

“Everything,” was Belle’s cold, curt response to Kuma. She stated that she was proud to be born in Vegeta. To be from there. So, it was too late for her. The training had already seeped into her brain and taken her over. “That’s the problem. You’re all too proud.” Too proud and too selfish to even consider others who weren’t from their own race. Sometimes others who were related like hybrids were beneath a pure blooded Saiyan. That was how it had been with her Uncle Kalabas. That toxic mindset twisted and percolated and stewed until there was nothing left but Saiyan superiority. They didn’t know what having everything torn away from them felt like. They didn’t know how it felt to not be good enough to meet the standard for even the lowliest of grunts.
Belle scowled at Kuma’s admission that she was from and still with the Kingdom. She wanted to be here even less. This girl was thick headed and dumb. It kind of reminded her of Miss Nashua and how dumb she could be. Belle jumped when Tarch suddenly appeared behind her and pulled her into a very gentle hug. He had said something knowing some great Saiyans from Vegeta, but Tarch probably didn’t know them like she did. Still, she was really happy to see him. The darkness that had clouded her expression lifted, and Belle smiled genuinely as she snuggled up against her big brother.
“Tarch! I-I’m okay! It still kind of hurts though!”
Pouting when Tarch turned his attention to the meanie and gave their names to her, Belle hugged him and slid behind him a little, essentially using him as a shield from Kuma’s gaze. She was really happy that he had come to see her, but she definitely wanted to get away from this mean Saiyan girl before she hurt either of them. Maybe they could go back up to her room and play another board game! It was pretty boring being all by herself.

This young girl seemed way too young to be this angry about something so broad, but she must have had a good reason surely. She couldn't remember the last time she had met a Saiyan that seemed to despise Saiyans, and especially not one that seemed to hate Vegeta so much. Had things really gotten so out of hand since she was gone?
"Don't really know what to say to that. Why are you so angry? I can see it in your eyes. The way you glare at me, the way you stare at me, the way you talk. It's all over your face." Even Kuma could see the emotions she wore on her sleeve, and the way she looked at her, even if she was oblivious as to why. Once again that look came from Belle, and it felt like a dagger in a way it hadn't up to this point. Perhaps seeing it so many times was starting to push it deeper each time, but what could she really do about it? Before she could respond back she heard a voice, and if not for a piece of the building supporting the over hang outside being just a few feet away, she might have fallen from how hard her muscles tensed when she turned. Now leaning against it she grabbed at her ribs and sighed, trying not to breathe too deep.
It was evident from the way he talked and immediately embraced this young girl that they were familiar, but the question was, how was he going to look at her. Was there going to be a second person showing up glaring at her or was their introductory comment a sign they were more reasonable. "I ain't old enough to be called ma'am.", she responded with a slight chuckle. "Yeah, I guess I met her. Though she isn't a fan of me for some reason.", shrugging as much as she was able without shooting pains. "Hey. I'm Kuma", giving a wave and a bit of a nod. "Sister though, huh? You two don't really look like brother and sister.", pointing between them just as Belle was sliding behind Tarch, eliciting a raised eyebrow from Kuma. "Got no brothers or sisters. Just a cousin. Small family."

Belle was okay. Thank Chime. The past few days were wrought with all sorts of worry involving the poor little saiyan. Ignoring everything that happened to her in the past, getting absolutely thrashed by some scaly jerk over some dumb ball was nothing a nine year old should go through. Saiyan or otherwise. Yet her bitterness did indeed show. As happy as Tarch was to sense emotion from his sister, he hated that it was such a negative feeling. Kuma could tell too.
Tarch gave a nervous laugh as the woman stated Belle’s opinion of her. How else was he supposed to react? He couldn’t exactly go around telling perfect strangers what happened to her to bring out such a fierce hatred. She was also astute enough to point out the complete dissimilarity between the so-called brother and sister. That matter he could elaborate a little on though.
“Well it’s nice to meet you Ma’a- er Kuma. Sorry about my sister. Belle’s… well she’s been through a lot. Because of that she doesn’t like Saiyans from Vegeta. I mean some are jerks.” His mind immediately wondered to Kalabas. The man whose fault this was. As he let that sentence sit a while, Tarch came to the realization that that may have been offensive. Though he didn’t really say anything against them himself, the implication that Belle was far less subtle about could be there. The teen quickly threw up his hands. “Not that there’s automatically anything wrong with saiyans from Vegeta! Heck I just met you! I’m sure you and your cousin are perfectly good people! Like I said I’ve met some really cool people from there and… oh boy…” Tarch scratched at the back of his head as the embarrassment began to set in. “I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to be offensive. Uhh.” Topic change, now. He was just called out for not looking like his sister. That he could talk about without making a fool of himself.
“O-oh! About us not looking like siblings! Well you’re actually right! See Belle isn’t…” He was about to say that she wasn’t his real sister. But as far as he or anyone else should be concerned, they were more like siblings than his actual sister. “She’s not my… what’s the word? Oh right! Biological sister. But she’s more like my sister than my actual one. Now if you think we don’t look alike you should see my brother.”
