Belle’s PL: 46,000 Aura Block: Active (Set to 100)
It wasn’t too hard to sense Tarch once she got into the vicinity of South City. He didn’t live there, but rather at one of the smaller houses in a no name town nearby. Taking manual control of her ship, Belle turned it toward the source of his aura and had it stop dead in the air once they got over it. Giving Daisy a pet as she scooped up her newly acquired Dragon Ball, Belle raced through the ship to the ramp as fast as her crutches would carry her and smacked the button to lower the ramp. Mister Carro’s company had tooled out her ship when she had docked it in their shipyard. She guessed they just liked playing with technology. But, as a result, her ship had been decked out with only the coolest new tech. Such as a stealth drive! She left it cloaked above Tarch’s house and used telekinesis to lower herself down rather quickly. There was a house below - Tarch’s house. Since she was his sister, she didn’t see any reason why she couldn’t just barge in. Especially with how excited and scared she was at the same time! Touching down in the backyard, Belle hobbled over to the backdoor and tried the knob. It opened easily much to Belle’s relief. She went inside and held up the Dragon Ball in one hand both smiling and looking scared at the same time. “T-Tarch! I did it! I-I really did it!”Belle glanced around for any sign of her older brother. She had found one. A Dragon Ball. After her failed attempt, she wasn’t so sure that she would find one before she died but…! Here it was! Belle smiled and looked down at it, admiring how it glinted in the light. She couldn’t wait to show Tarch, but more importantly, give it to him. Maybe even ask him for help. She really didn’t want to have to do it, but her encounter with Mister Ogre’s mean friend scared her.

Tarch PL: 180,000. Energy Setting 40,000
No matter how hard they tried, Mar and Suda could not get their son to stop pacing. They were well aware of the two children Tarch practically adopted himself as brother and sister. Though with Kohlra’s recent silence, it seemed she was unable to care for the three super-powered children. Even Tarch could understand why. She literally just died and her killer became her son. Even for an adult that was a lot to handle for one person. So his human parents out of respect for the saiyan woman took up the reigns. After all, they could handle Tarch, how hard would two more all-powerful children be?
For now, their oldest was practically bouncing off the walls in scared anticipation. Even after her near-death experience, Belle was already back on the hunt for those stupid dragon balls. Those things were way more trouble than they were worth. Yet with all the sadness and rejection his sister faced for the past few months, he couldn’t find it in him to dissuade her from the hunt. His heart jumped into his throat as Belle bolted through the backdoor. Even his parents jumped in their place.
“Belle!” Leaving a smiling afterimage behind, Tarch dashed over to his little sister. “You’re okay! And you…” Kais above she did it. Lo and behold Belle succeeded in bringing home a small orange orb. This was actually the first time the hybrid saw an earth dragon ball. They were a lot smaller than he was used to. The ones back on Namek were as big as his head.
“You… You did it!” Tarch swooped her up into a tight hug, almost forgetting about her previous injuries. “I knew you could do it! I’m so proud of you!” As confused as they were, his family merely watched on in silence. They could save the questions for later. “Keep it up kiddo! Soon you’ll have all seven! Well, I mean… you’ll get close. But don’t worry about the other one,” surely she knew what he meant, “You just let big brother Tarch worry about that one.”

Belle squeaked in surprise and happiness when Tarch scooped her up into a tight hug. It felt good, but it also hurt! She smiled weakly, sniffling a little at hearing that Tarch was proud of her. These moments made her forget just for a moment how sad she was. She just nodded at him. Soon, she’d have all of them! Tapping Tarch’s arm and wiggling free, Belle leaned on her crutches and rubbed her healing injury. Ouch! Well, it wasn’t so bad now but… still was very, very painful.
“Y-Yeah! But um…”
Grabbing Tarch’s hand and pressing the Dragon Ball into it gently, Belle looked up at him with a nervousness that she couldn’t exactly hide.
“J-Just in case he comes looking… I don’t wanna… I don’t want him to just take it.”
She knew what she was asking. She was asking him to put himself in danger for her sake. Belle bit her lip anxiously. As much as she didn’t want to get Tarch hurt or too deeply involved in this, she was more frightened of what Mister Ogre’s mean friend would do if he found her with a Dragon Ball. He would take it and hurt her again to do it if he had to. He was a really bad person. She didn’t believe him for a second that he wanted to save the world. Someone who wanted to do that didn’t hurt kids like her. Not that badly.
“D-Do you mind…? I’m sorry to ask… but I’m kind of… scared.”

Tarch froze. He should have known this was coming. Heck, it was probably better this way. Yet after everything was said and done, the young half saiyan had no desire to be a part of this hunt for the dragon balls. Yet how could he possibly say no to Belle? He promised to be there for his little sister. After seeing her beaten and broken, Tarch was determined never to let her get that badly hurt again. Besides, what kind of message would it send if he turned her down?
“Of course kiddo!” he assured, taking the tiny orange sphere from his sister. “Nothing wrong with being scared either. Don’t you worry! I’ll take good care of it.”
“Absolutely not!” The rest of the family would jump once more as Suda stated her thoughts from across the room. “After everything that happened because of those stupid wish orbs you think it’s okay to just keep one here?! What if someone comes looking for them and tries to attack you?! Or if you leave it here and someone breaks in while you’re at school?” Tarch’s stepmom marched to the backdoor, glaring down at the dragon ball with disgust. “You ran away to another planet for these things while you were still injured. You should have stayed in the hospital until you were better! Now you’re throwing yourself back into danger for a…” His mother stopped herself short. She knew Belle was not a stranger, at least not for her son. But she didn’t know her. Luckily a new voice made its thoughts known.
“Tarch. Your mother is right. You can’t keep something like that here. So you’ll keep it in my house.”
“Dad!” Suda spun on her heels to shoot her father a deathly glare.
“Suda. You know who your son is. I agree it’s too dangerous to keep these wishing orbs here. But my house is completely empty.”
This time Mar joined in the conversation, siding with his wife. “I’m sorry dad but this too dangerous. We should talk about this first. Maybe without the kids though.” The three adults turned to face the teen and his little sister. “Tarch. Put that in grandpa’s lockbox and bury it in the back yard for now.”
“Y-yessir.” With that, Tarch would keep his new dragon ball securely in his hand while taking Belle’s in the other. He’d silently lead Belle back outside, taking a quick flight over to his grandfather’s house. That was a lot of tension for what was supposed to be a happy occasion. So Tarch gave his little sister a wide smile. “Don’t worry about that. They’re just worried is all. I’ll make sure no one lays a hand on this no matter what they say. For now you should just be happy you found one! Even better you're taking it somewhere safe. With me!”

Belle sighed with relief when Tarch agreed to take the ball of her hands. She had mixed feelings about giving it to him, but she needed someone to count on. She smiled up at him. She jumped when the rest of the family jumped up from the couch across the room and shouted their displeasure. Belle shrunk away behind Tarch, blinking and frowning miserably when his stepmom implied that she wasn’t part of their family. She didn’t blame Mrs. Suda though… Belle knew exactly how dangerous the Dragon Balls were, though she was starting to rethink letting Tarch hold onto it.
Another person spoke up, but this one suggested Tarch take it to his house. It was Tarch’s grandfather. Belle poked her head out a little curiously to listen a bit more intently. Tarch’s dad didn’t agree, but then they all turned toward the two of them and asked them to put it away for now. Tarch didn’t have much to say to that aside from agreeing and leading Belle quietly back outside and into the air. He smiled at her despite her worried expression, making her feel a little better at least.
“Y-yes! I did it! But… Tarch I’m worried about you too… I didn’t want to ask, but… I was scared and… oh! Guess what? I found in the same place that mean man Garon was looking! I got one right out from under his nose!”
Belle smiled at that. It felt good to get one over on the mean man who had hurt her. Maybe it was a little petty to feel that way, but he deserved it for being so heartless and mean. Anyway, she had been hoping that Chromo was around too, but it didn’t seem like he was. After getting hurt, he had warmed up to her a lot more. She was really happy about that, and she wanted to do more stuff with him! Belle smiled and looked up at Tarch.
“We should celebrate with Chromo later! I’ll have my ship make a lot of Hetap for him! And- and…! Um… what else does he like?”
She just knew that he really liked the soda. Anything else, she wasn’t so sure. Maybe he liked other sweets like candy? She hoped that he didn’t like anything too weird. Belle had tried a lot of different foods in her life, but there were some that she had been made to eat that she really didn’t like. She would still eat it because it would be rude not to eat… but still! She wasn’t really sure what even Tarch liked to do. Belle liked to draw, but that wasn’t really something everyone could participate in. She wondered if they liked board games or if that would be too boring. Chromo was super cool, after all.

“Heck yeah we should celebrate! You found a ball all on your own! And you didn’t let that Garon guy stop you!” Oh right. Garon. Tarch still had plenty of words for the mean lizard-like man. That was hardly worth worrying about though. For now, he had something much more important to celebrate. First things first was the matter of keeping this particular ball safe. “Let’s get this somewhere safe first. Then we can worry about parties.” So without too much conversation, Tarch would lead Belle over to his grandfather’s house. It was still unoccupied though with how clean the inside was kept it was hard to tell. Even the mailbox was left empty. It looked more like a very tidy invisible person lived there.
Tarch wasted no time finding the safe. Then he had a thought. Anyone with a dragon radar would just find the box and tear it open with their bare hands. So he stuffed some very inconspicuous papers inside to cover it up. What else? Maybe if he put a bunch of magnets inside it would throw off any machinery? It couldn’t hurt. So he dumped an old box of magnetic toys into the safe. Now all that was left to do was bury the thing. That was plenty easy.
“Hey kiddo?” he asked pointed a finder at a small patch of dirt by the house, “I’m gonna blast a small hole to keep this thing safe. Don’t worry about me forgetting or anything. This is one of those Crop Co or Capsule Corp, I forget which one, but it’s one of those smart safes. So my entire family gets a text whenever it’s opened. Besides, you saw how upset my family got. I think this is a good temporary solution. But anyway you think you can use your telekinesis to help with all the dirt?”
Tarch would wait for an answer before blasting a small pit regardless. It was fairly narrow, but deep enough that any one looking for the ball would have to do a fair amount of digging. Even if Belle said she couldn’t help, he could easily move some dirt by himself. Once that was settled they could finally focus on the fun part.
“So! I think we should do something more fun than hanging around on the ship with just the three of us. But you found the ball so that’s completely up to you. What do you have in mind? I’ll take you anywhere you want… on Earth anyway.”

With thoughts of how they would celebrate in her head, Belle followed along happily in Tarch’s wake. Hm… actually, now that she thought about it, had she ever had a real party thrown for her on her birthday or otherwise? There was the one that Mister Lord Chill had thrown, but… that one didn’t count for obvious reasons. Her father hadn’t actually thrown her any… so… had she ever even… been to one? Not one that she could remember.
She touched down behind Tarch and watched him stuff the dragon ball and other random things into the safe. She wasn’t really sure why he was burying it under all that stuff. Still, she wasn’t really sure that would be enough. And what if someone did some looking? It was probably better to just… let them have it, right? She didn’t want Tarch hurt. With these troubled thoughts swirling around her head, she pouted absently.
“Mm? Yeah, okay.”
Her eyes flashed a telekinetic green as a huge mound of dirt shifted from the hole that Tarch had made. She just kept it in the air above him. It was about a five foot cube of dirt. She played with its shape idly as Tarch stowed the safe away and covered it all back up pretty easily. As he asked his question, she thought about it.
“Mm… I don’t know. I haven’t ever been to a real party before… but… oh! Maybe… the big forest? I met a nice green man there once and it had some really… really pretty meadows of flowers. I liked them. I could make you some flower stuff too!”

The big forest? Tarch couldn’t have asked for anything better! He loved hanging out around there. Not the mention the plus side of living in the south was that October was still relatively warm. The November chill was still a week or so away. They could have a picnic! It was perfect!
“Awesome! We can have a little picnic in my favorite part of the woods.” Tarch darted into his grandfather’s house. Thanks to his extended family, along with his own up keeping, the house still looked as though it was lived in from day to day. Or at least week to week. So being the saiyan he was, Tarch kept a regular bounty of food in the fridge. Calling upon his multiform, he would quickly assemble a picnic basket fit for four saiyans, or at least two saiyan teenagers. Sure Belle was only nine, but no doubt had a saiyan appetite right? Besides, what if they had visitors? It wouldn’t be any fun if they just had to sit there with nothing.
Two baskets, a backpack, and a blanket tied into a makeshift bag. The young hybrid came bursting back out looking rather silly with all this slung over his shoulder. “Come on. I’ll show you to one of my favorite spots.” Making sure to let the poor injured Belle keep up, Tarch made his way into the woods. He may not have memorized every location of his home up north. But down here, there wasn’t a single place unknown to this saiyan. Finding his hangout was no trouble at all.
Being sure to help Belle along the way, he would lead her to a fairly open clearing, bordered by dense trees and divided by a wide river. Tarch took in a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment to soak in the sheer peace and beauty of this place. He did trip and nearly fell over a small patch of scorched ground. He chuckled it off, however. That must have been from his little match with that Bamboo girl. Without further ado, he laid out the blanket and began unpacking their picnic.
Tarch gave his little sister a big toothy grin. “Well! Dig in! We got sandwiches, fish, a lot of fish, Hetap, juice, some cookies for later, and I even brought hot dogs and marshmallows if we wanna have a campfire later!” The teen giddily patted a spot on the blanket for Belle to sit. Yet, he felt as though he was forgetting something. He hid the ball, got a party started… what was left. Maybe Belle knew! “Uhh, I feel like I’m forgetting something. Did I forget something kiddo?”

As Tarch darted into the house, Belle stood outside and waited. She was still a little worried about Tarch taking care of the Dragon Ball, but… if she could get them all, she could get her uncle and Mister Lord Chill back. She could fix everything. But if something happened… Belle’s face shifted into a worried frown as she glanced down at her crutches. Well… if something did, she would just… help Tarch through it! That was what siblings did, right?
Reassured a little bit, Belle flinced in surprise as Tarch came out of the house with stuff slung all over his back. She giggled softly and nodded, happily following along. Eventually, he led her to a very pretty clearing. A surreal feeling of peace fell over her. It was… a little foreign. A little strange. Was it okay to feel this… okay? This relaxed? When she still had so much left to do? She put her hand over her heart, just taking it in while Tarch unpacked their picnic.
She almost didn’t hear him when he called for her. She hurriedly turned around and sat down on the spot he patted and looked over all the food and treats. It was all so nice. But something felt like it was missing… Tarch must have felt like it too because he asked her what she thought. Hm. She thought about it really hard for a couple of seconds before she figured it out.
“Oh! Chromo? I… I’d like him to come to… if he wants!”
Belle blushed a little in embarrassment. She hoped that Chromo would come. He had been really warm when she had hugged him before… she kind of wanted to hug her new brother again. “I-If he wants! He doesn’t have to!”

Duh! His brother! How could he ever enjoy a picnic without Chromo? It was a scientifically proven fact that you can’t have a picnic without bugs trying to steal your food. So why not cut out the middle man and just invite one? That oughtta keep the smaller ones away, right? Wishful thinking aside, Belle was still right. “Oh, man! I didn’t even think of that! I guess because you two got off to a rocky start. But hey, Chromo loves food and the outdoors as much as I do! I’ll give him a call!” Normally Tarch would have to explain why ‘giving him a call’ didn’t entail pulling out a cell phone and literally calling him that way. But there was no way a little psychic like her didn’t get it. No doubt as soon as Tarch closed his eyes she knew what he was up to. “Hey, Chromo I got-” the teen paused. For just a brief moment, it sounded as though his own thoughts were bouncing around in his own head. His skull became an echo chamber for his words. It didn’t hurt, but it wasn’t entirely pleasant either. Maybe he was too far away? Oh well, it still couldn’t hurt to try. “Hey, Chromo. I got a picnic going on in Paozu. Y’know the woods I always hang out in, with that river I love to fish in? Yeah, it’s that one. Just to let you know though, I got Belle with me. See we’re having a little party because she found a dragon ball! Don’t worry, she wants to use ‘em to bring people back this time. Still, I totally get it if you don’t wanna come. You and I will just have to hang out on our own later.”Tarch opened his eyes, smiling down at his little sister. “Well, I sent out a message. I got a bit of feedback so I don’t know if he heard. Otherwise, we’ll just have to wait and see!” With that Tarch pulled out a big red juicy apple. He licked his lips in anticipation. Then an idea crossed his mind. Who said they couldn’t eat and have a bit of psychic fun. “Hey kiddo,” he mused, his smile turning into a playful smirk, “I got a little game we can play. See, I think your telekinesis is the coolest thing ever. Soooo…” He gave the apple a gentle toss into the air. “Can you catch that without using your hands?” Of course, it would be a waste if the delicious fruit splattered to the ground. So his tail was poised to catch it just in case. Chromo ? Liquid time is weird so Chromo joining this would be just as weird. So I have no idea but i'll tag you anwyay

Belle smiled excitedly when Tarch said that she was right. She did good then! Her tail wiggled back and forth in a way it hadn’t in a very long time to express her content. She was… feeling happy. Was it okay to feel that way with Mister Lord Chill and Uncle Kalabas gone because of her? She wavered, and her smile turned into a little frown until Tarch spoke out loud again. She perked up, able to push those thoughts to the back of her head for once.
“Mmm… maybe he’s asleep in a fridge somewhere?” Belle asked, tilting her head to the side. She knew he sometimes slept in strange places and not when it was bedtime. She tilted her head to the side when he called out to her, watching his expression shift into something playful. Belle tensed up, her tail sticking straight up, and then almost immediately relaxed when he said her telekinesis was the coolest thing ever. She puffed up her chest proudly.
“Y-Yeah!” She replied almost confidently as her eyes flashed with her psychic green and her usual green aura surrounded the apple, catching it before it hit the ground with ease. For added coolness, she made it spin around Tarch’s head a few times, giggling to herself. “See? Um, can do you that, Tarch? You can sort of see auras like me, right? And talk to people with um... telepathy...?”

“That or eating an entire fridge worth of food,” Tarch chuckled, “If that’s the case then he probably isn’t hungry. Looks like it’s just you and me kiddo.” That was fine. The two could have plenty of fun. As demonstrated by the now floating fruit there were plenty of things the two could do. Of course, Tarch was just impressed with how far little Belle had come. Then came an interesting question.
“Can I do that?” he parroted back. The idea never really crossed his mind. The most psychically inclined things in the teen’s arsenal of tricks were his telepathy. That and the very faint traces of emotion he could sense from people. But hey! He could certainly try!
“Let’s find out!” Tarch plucked a bag of chips from the bag. If he dropped an apple that would be a waste of perfectly good food. A bag of chips would get a little crushed, but still, be plenty edible. He gave the snack a much more conservative toss than before. His face contorted in concentration, he stared goofy daggers toward the bag. It plopped to the ground rather unceremoniously. Not even a small quiver out of place. He then brought up a hand in the generic over the top telekinetic gestures. Still nothing.
“Guess not,” he finally breathed after literally holding his breath. “Oh well,” he shrugged, “I’ll stick with telepathy and…” Actually he did have a trick up his sleeve. A trick he was sure Belle would love. “Hey! Here’s something I CAN show you.” With an excited yelp, Tarch leaped a good few feet away from Belle. He then shed his trademark jacket and tied the sleeves together around his eyes in a makeshift blindfold. “Alright! Now toss that apple at me as hard as you can with your telekinesis. No matter where it’s coming from I’ll be able to move out of the way! Go on give it a shot!”

Belle leaned in eagerly, curious to see whether Tarch could make things float too! Mister Lord Chill had called it telekinesis, the ability to make things float or to exert pressure on them with your mind. She had been practicing ever since she had learned how to do it. Unfortunately, Tarch… didn’t seem to have that power. She was a little disappointed. It would have helped her not feel quite so strange… but this was okay! Plus, his face was kinda funny. She wasn’t sure why he was making those faces.
She giggled and lifted the bag up with her own telekinesis and brought it into her hands. She could have probably taught him if he wanted to know to do it. Or at least explained the feeling. But he seemed pretty content to stick with what he knew. Belle supposed that was okay, though she kind of liked learning everything that she could. She perked up a little when he leaped away, promising to show her something, but she tilted her head to the side when he effectively blindfolded himself. What?
“Throw… the apple… um… Okay… Are you sure…?”
Still, Belle did as she was told and levitated the apple uncertainly in the air in front of her for a second. She didn’t really want to hurt him by tossing it as hard as she could… so she just lifted it up above his head and let it fall down. It might bonk him, but! He could survive a bonk. Tarch was really strong. He might not even feel it honestly.
“H-Here goes!”

A playful, almost cocky scoff escaped the smirking teen. He did say she had to throw it right? Belle using her telekinesis just made this ten times easier. He could sense the energy surrounding the fruit above his head. Now all Tarch had to do was wait for the energy to dissipate and then do his stuff. Just as the apple would bonk him on the noggin, the Speed King went to work. His smirking after image remained on the ground while the genuine article flew above the apple and caught it in his hands. A few movements of his arms and he let it fall into his awaiting hand back on the ground. He had to wonder if Belle could even follow what had just happened. To an untrained eye, the apple would magically hover into Tarch’s outstretched hand. Then again, Belle wasn’t entirely untrained. She probably saw the after image quick drop the fruit into his palm.
Only one way to find out! Tarch removed his blindfold. “Alright kiddo,” he said still bearing his cocky grin, “I wanted you to throw it so I could do it a little differently. But that worked too! So how do you think I did it?” To be honest, the teen was hoping to show off and use his sixth sense a little more. Whenever an opponent launched a big attack at him, he had a moment where he could sense it coming. Almost as if he could predict the future and act accordingly. That was, of course, ridiculous right? No one could do that unless they were a fortune teller. Although with Belle’s abilities, Tarch had to wonder if she could do it too.

Belle’s eyes lit up with wonder as two Tarches appeared! It was quick, but she did manage to see the brief flash and swirl of his aura moving around at super speed. She smiled at him and tilted her head to the side when he asked how he had done it. What did he mean? Was it supposed to be some kind of magic trick? She looked a little puzzled, wondering if there wasn’t more to it. To be fair, she had just dropped it on his head… did he want her to really try and get a little silly with it?
“Mmm… well, can I try again first? I’ll do better this time! I promise!”
Her eyes lighting up with their usual telekinetic green, a bunch of apples hovered menacingly all around Tarch. Given he could sense where the apples were from her psychic energy, Belle tried a different tactic. She launched them off around Tarch and bounced them in a wild and manic pinball off of psychic barriers. She could sort of indirectly control the apple storm this way and one after the other, she directed all the apples to go flying at Tarch from different angles and directions. There was no way he could dodge them all, right?
