Only mere seconds ago had Cress left the battle that would decide Arcose's fate, still sore from Nashua's attack as he flew at a calm cruising speed above the city. It was evident that a lot of people had quickly left after they shot up into the air, although some decided to remain. They watched him fly over, curiosity filling their minds. So what would happen now? Cress wouldn't stop to tell them, deciding to just head back to his spacepod so he could get off this planet. It wasn't one he was particularly fond of, and would destroy given the chance.
After making it to the edge of the city, he slowed his advance before finally coming to a halt once he came up on the crater where he knew his pod was. He lingered in the air above the crater, only to find it completely empty and his spacepod gone. "Bastards!", he boomed as he clench his fist. They dare take something that was his? What made it even worse is that he'd had that pod for such a long time now, he'd grown a little bit attached to it. It was something akin to how a human would get attached to a car.
Well damn, he'd have to go and find a new one somewhere, although he doubted there would be many after the evacuation. He also needed to find one for Kalabas, who he assumed to be coming with him back to Earth. That reminded him, had Vocado started his plan yet? He hadn't been in contact with him for a while. Kalabas would be a good addition to the team.
If Kalabas had followed him here, he'd turn to him. "We need to find a way off this planet.", he says while looking around for anything they could use that looked safe enough to ride in.

Kalaboo flew silent and somber, going over in his head the confrontation that had taken place just minutes ago. Did he, in that whole blasted ordeal, even manage to land a hit on anyone? He put aside these thoughts, better let them gnaw at him sometime later. "We are to remain in the Kingdom's service." he said as Cress turned, remembering Nashua's words "The saiyaness told me so, right as you left. It pays to hear the end of any one conversation." he looked up at the ships leaving orbit, their crisscrossing trails tying knots in his ghostly approximation of a stomach. Soon he'd have to put his plan into motion, try to achieve a modicum of peace, forgiveness... Or not. He could answer for his faults, and thread the same path of conquest and ambition with more restraint, rise through the ranks and become a Strongbone as great as any. Denying this call for greatness would be folly... but again, these were hardly the thoughts one should have in the present circumstances. "Hear me now... Arcose is under eminent threat, the Fleet sees little difference in it exploding or being conquered, whoever could leave has already left, so who would remain in the face of certain doom?" Kalaboo snapped his fingers, not even giving the chance for Cress to answer as he grinned from ear to ear "Precisely, warriors! And their headquarters must be somewhere here in the capital, with pods at the ready should any trouble arise. Trouble like us."
"We are to be accompanied, however. Wait here, it shan't take long." the ghost disappeared in a cloud of ethereal wisps, returning from behind a residence spire with a fridge in tow. He hefted it without any effort, perhaps he could even raise a building should it strike his fancy, or maybe even a planet... A shame that Arcose was soon to be part of the Kingdom, even if such gave it the contours of the Empire Kalabas thought the planet would be better served as a ring of debris around the system's sun "Well now, it's a damn ghastly sight so forgive me if I do not want you to see the poor state of my body. Even with arcosian medicine you can only recover so much, I'm afraid. Let us not dawdle any further then, we have to find an outpost or something of the like."

After turning to Kalabas, Kalabas gave Cress Nashua's message that they were not exiled, which he already assumed to be true before hearing it. "I figured that. If she was serious about it she most likely would have killed us. " Even if he ended up being exiled and made it out alive, his motives wouldn't change. He'd still help his people in times of need, and would still work alongside Vocado to see his plan through. His search of the city outskirts came to a close. Looking back up at Kalabas, he was almost immediately asked a question. As his mouth opened, Kalabas quickly answered it for him.
"That is a good idea, but the fight we just left is still going on right above the headquarters- which Aizu destroyed a portion of. I doubt anyone stuck around for the entire thing to get destroyed."
When Kalabas spoke he informed him that someone would be joining them, at least that's what Cress took from his comment. As Kalabas seemingly faded from existence, Cress did just as he said- wait. In the meantime, he'd look deeper into the city and back up in the sky, wondering how the fight was going now. "I wish I could've gotten just a little action." He frowned. Kalabas didn't take too long to get back to him, towing a fridge on his back as he approached. "What in the-" Before he was able to question his ghastly comrade aloud, he was indirectly told what was inside the box.
"Let's just raid a spaceship store. Shouldn't be too hard to find one. There'll be plenty of action on Earth, there's something big about to be put into motion. I'll fill you in later." With that said, he re-entered the city, making sure not to draw too close to the center and keeping an eye out for any stray blasts. He didn't want to be suddenly vaporize during his search. Eventually, he'd come up on a shop that sold spaceships. It was rather large and noticeable, and was located near the edge of the city as to give it enough room to conduct business. It appeared that it was closed at the time everything started happening, judging by how untouched it looked.
"Perfect!"
Moving towards the locked door with metal shutters, which was made out of one of the toughest metals in the universe. Not tough enough to stop Cress, though. Cress began pushing against the door, slowly pushing it in before bursting through. Now that he thought about it Kalabas could have probably floated right through the damn thing, but that wasn't any fun. Cress looked around the open warehouse, which was filled with ships.
If Kalabas was still following behind he'd look over his shoulder at him. "Are you going to get a spacepod? You and your body can fit in one, I assume."

"A spaceship store?" Kalaboo perked an eyebrow "Earth?" he perked the other. Nevermind that in all likeliness most ship dealerships were raided empty for their rides, what the devil was about to go down in Earth? The Kingdom was whole and the Fleet about to be splintered, were his living brethren too callous to even let themselves rest after such a hard won victory? It made sense, without an enemy stronger than the sum of its parts the whole would turn upon itself with infighting and power grabs, it was saiyan nature. Kalaboo sighed, flying beside Cress as he cast his gaze away, trying to find some crashed ship or outpost he could pilfer. Well, Cress' wit was not to be underestimated, he found his store and went right away to its doors. Kalaboo could have phased into the building or punch a hole in the wall but his comrade was having a good old time breaking and entering... Had he had done this before? Not that the people from the provinces were all thieves and lowlifes, but close... "Hehe." And break and enter he did.
Kalaboo stepped inside, following the rows and rows of spaceships with his eyes. It reminded him of the flotilla back on Namek, only with less carriers and more pleasure ships. "What to choose?" something that wouldn't attract much attention, preferably... and with a full deposit! Kalaboo gave a nearby pod a firm jostle. This one wouldn't run out for sure. "It is not like I need any space at all, friend. I can will myself to be incorporeal, easy as that." But could he also possess things? There were wraiths and wraiths, and he had never seen any of his particular kind do anything of the sort. Better leave the body resting for now, maybe see if someone could restore it to some of its former glory, when it didn't look like only bone remained under his flesh.
The saiyan shoved the fridge inside his simple ship, then turning to Cress "You spoke of Earth... What is happening there that would require my presence?"

After asking Kalabas about what his choice of vehicle would be for their trip back to Earth, Cress had found his, placing his hand on the pod that rested across from him on a shelf. "This will do." Cress gazed over his shoulder again as Kalabas gave him a response. "It might not be good idea to do that in a moving spaceship, but I have no idea how becoming "incorporeal" works or feels like." After saying that, Cress returned his focus to the space-pod in front of him. Moving his hands from his side, he pressed his palms against the exterior of the ship and began pulling it from the shelf. He lifted it into the air and held it with his left hand, perfectly balancing it while grabbing the remote that rested beside where it once was.
After Cress claimed the ship, his and Kalabas' eyes would meet once more. He questioned why he was needed on Earth. "Dragon Ball hunting. Vocado got me in on it, and I think it's about time I go and help out. I figured you may want to help out too. If you've read up on our history you may know what it is we plan on wishing for."
Cress turned and faced the entrance.
"Let's get moving. Staying any longer will cause us to fall behind."

A fair question. How did incorporeality work anyway? "Well, how does being corporeal feel? Having been both, I can tell you it is not a matter of polar opposites... You radiate ki, I am ki, and like any other form of energy I have no mass or volume... I think?" he kept idly muttering to himself about his paradoxical state of being, taking the manual from inside the ship and giving it a gander. His ability to keep on rambling about absolutely nothing while focusing on other tasks was nothing short of amazing. "Someone should study this, write a treatise about afterlife and its effects. And who better do that than me?" he threw the manual inside, shutting the hatch "Perhaps I could even write about more things. Our history, perhaps? Yes, I have read up on it, and it troubles me how easily we willfully tread the trodden paths and err all the same... Cress, think, we get the seed, plant it, reap the fruit from the damnable tree... And then what?"
Kalaboo took the pod from its shelf "We will conquer until we can conquer no longer, stay set in our stagnant ways, bear our withering Empire-Kingdom's collapse with pride, withstand some cataclysm and from it rebound... It is all so very pointless. To my way of thinking, it appears we have two choices should we ever unite to grow beyond this cycle, either commit to expansion and seek ever greener pastures or turn inward and grow from within. Either way, should we rest on our laurels, who is to say that we will survive another catastrophe? Planets are all too fragile before the might of no matter which super saiyan level warrior." the ghost kicked the pod through the wall, with just enough force to match that of an asteroid. The resulting dent on the white hull was too deep for his liking, but he did not need life support anyway. "Hrm... I am unsure where I stand now. If with Vocado or Kayen. Perhaps both, perhaps neither... But I will think on the matter, see which answers best to the people's needs, not their wants. I find that neither crownling has much use for long-term planning. But not even this is new, is it?"
Kalaboo hopped through the hole he had made, opening the ship "I'll set course to Vegeta. I trust you will not tell anyone of our talk? The world thinks I am dead, and I wish to keep it that way. At least until I have a way to return... in full."

Being ki itself... that sounded like it'd feel pretty weird but amazing at the same time. So did that mean he could just expel all his energy and then disappear? Kalabas caught on quick as to what he was talking about after his mention of the afterlife, which he'd make sure to ask him about.
"The Kingdom was nearly eliminated because we stopped our conflicts at the orders of our incompetent higher-ups in the past who desired peace, causing our people to grow weak due to a lack of fighting. It is their fault our people ended up like this! What made it even worse is that we invited in the peace-loving namekians so easily, causing our people to become more like them!" Cress grit his teeth, his facial expression changing, clearly enraged by the thoughts and imagery occurring in his mind. "I will not be so easily influenced by outsiders, and I'm sure Vocado won't either. If I have anything to do with it our people will not grow weak again. Every saiyan will fight and grow strong, just as the people who left our softening worlds all those years ago and their descendants did."
Kalabas had kicked his pod through the wall, making his own door to leave. He still needed time to think on it, and apparently was going to head to Vegeta. "I won't. There's Nashua and Kayen, though, your name is sure to be brought up by one of them some time or another." Cress followed behind Kalabas with his ship in hand as well, tossing it to the side and commanding it to open with the remote as he passed through the hole, waiting to see if Kalabas had anything left to say.

"Ah yes, how easy it is to project our faults unto the outsiders... Pray tell, who would you lay the blame on had the namekians never set foot on Vegetan soil? Probably some other ilk of a more peaceful bend than us? It'll solve nothing. Cast out the slugmen and more will follow, soon you'll be turning away even kabochans and others we have fought alongside for generations. Where will you draw the line, then? Half-breeds? The low-class? We might as well start sending newborns to planets again! I have no love for the nameks either, but the Kingdom is weaker without its people, no matter how appaling war may seem to them." Kalaboo leaned on his ship, arms crossed and brow furrowed "Why do you think we have namekians in our capital world in the first place? Have you got any magical aptitude? Nor do most saiyans. Meanwhile Maestropolis overflows with healers and spellcasters, and have you seen their warriors? I lost my tail to one of them, so I can speak for their... expediency." Whatever happened to Mollusc? Kalabas had sworn to avenge the humiliation, and Kalaboo echoed these feelings tenfold.
"We have enough enemies as it stands, let us not go around making new ones out of a misplaced sense of entitlement. Better stay our hand until we have this rivalry for the crown solved at least, no?" Kalaboo entered his ship, strapping his seatbelt out of habit. The damn thing slid through his ethereal form, catching him off guard "Hrm. Be a bosom friend and tell our Queen and lapdog that my very existence depends on them not going around telling everyone of my appearance here, yes? Yes." he gave the screen to his side a couple of presses "I will contact you sometime in the near future, hopefully with a... panacea. It would be a waste using a wish to bring me back, at least until I exhaust all other options. Keep that in mind, if you will... Ah, but I can't stay mad at you. You have never died, is all. Stay that way, until next time at least... Farewell!" he gave a two-finger salute, shutting the ship and taking off.

"A change came before the namekians. Zucceta was doing fine until the invasion of Earth happened, then everything went downhill from there. During my time on Earth I haven't done much beside seek out people to fight, barely engaging in conversation with them. But maybe I have a stronger resistance to change than she did? Who knows." Cress paused for a second, taking a breath of air before following up on their conversation. "Joining the army should have been a requirement if they are so useful, just to adapt them to our ways. Maybe they could teach a good amount of us magic while they were at it. I could find some uses for magic myself."
Kalabas threw a question his way as he entered his pod, attempting to fasten his seat-belt only for it to travel through his body with little effort. Cress chuckled a bit as he looked on. "There is no more rivalry. The fight solved that, and the stronger one emerged the victor, and that's that. If Vocado wants to challenge her again he can, but as of now he's acting on his own- not in the interest of our people. I may be doing the same, pursuing my own goals, but I am sure one day he may make the decision to reclaim leadership over our people. In the near future I may be interested as well, but I enjoy my freedom."
As Kalabas prepared to leave he gave him one final request- to tell them not to spread words of his emergence from the afterlife. "What happens if anyone else ends up surviving...? While it may be a stretch Aizu may make it out seeing as he's apparently working on their side, and if those two will it Kraktus may get away. IF they do, though, I'll make sure to end them." Kalabas assured him that he'd contact him in the near future, which gave him some hope that he'd work alongside him in pursuit of strength and power. "Until next time, my friend." Cress gave Kalabas a smirk and returned the two-fingered salute, watching his pod hover in the air.
"Just what is he planning...?" While everything may have not worked out how he thought it would, he had to get moving himself. Leaving Thread
