Chime's PL: 112k
It had been a while since the Guardian of Earth and the planet's President had met, face to face. The last time they had been together, it was on the Lookout, preparing themselves for Sensoa's imminent attack. The battle came and went, and though Chime had checked to make sure Carro hadn't died, and had checked in several times since then, the two hadn't actually seen each other. They were both pretty preoccupied making sure their respective corners of the world weren't exploding or on fire. Thankfully, neither of those things were happening at the moment, so he decided to pay the President a long overdue visit.
It was early evening as Chime flew through Central City, high enough to avoid traffic but low enough to enjoy the sights. Seeing the people of the city continue on with their lives after the attack a few months prior lifted his spirits. He figured whatever official President-ing duties Carro had to do during the day, they'd probably be done by now, so evening would be the perfect time to come calling. ...In retrospect, he maybe should've just checked in with Carro first. His flying slowed to a stop and he hovered there, now frowning and doubting himself. Would Carro be upset with Chime just dropping in like this? People just appeared at the Lookout unannounced all the time, and though it was annoying, Chime had just gotten used to it after a while, so much so that he didn't consider it. Now he was being the annoying one! This wouldn't do, there had to be some way to fix this. He didn't want to fly all the way back home...
Ah! People on Earth were supposed to give gifts when they visited people's homes, right? He'd just bring a gift! But what was customary... He thought for a moment, then waved his hand to conjure a colorful bouquet of flowers. They weren't real living flowers, of course, but they'd look nice in a vase. Chime considered them...this didn't seem like enough. He had to bring something else. He looked around the city street where he was hovering for inspiration. In the windows and on door-frames were all sorts of spooky decorations: bats, spiders and webs, women on brooms, bones of all sorts, and on each doorstep a bright orange pumpkin or two. Chime magicked up the roundest, orangest pumpkin he could, then nodded, satisfied with himself.
And so, that was how he arrived on the doorstep of King Castle: a bright bouquet in one hand, and a big pumpkin tucked under his other arm. He wore a bright smile on his face, while the gate guards just stared at him incredulously.
"Carro! It's me. I'm outside, but your men won't let me in. They keep asking for an ID? But I told them who I was already?" He mentally shrugged, "Anyway, I hope this isn't a bad time! I brought gifts!"

MR. PRESIDENT? YOU HAVE A PUMPKINCARRO's PL: 100 || LEO's PL: 100 (SUPPRESSED / 176k BASE) || COLA's PL: CAT
Carro laid sprawled across his couch, idly tapping away at the controller in his palms. After a long day of work, the President decided to kick back and spend his newly acquired free time playing some Majin Bros 64... That and his cat, Cola, had been sitting in his lap and didn't want to move, so he wasn't going anywhere for awhile. The black cat purred in content, tail swaying to occasionally bat the console's controller and faltering Carro's focus. Work was hectic, but now he could relax at home. LEO was busy cleaning her hangar, and the halls remained silent. Maybe the rest of today would be normal for once...
He started to zone out, but a sudden voice in his head caused Carro to jolt upright- it took all of his willpower to keep his legs still and not wake the cat on his lap. At first he was worried this was yet another troublemaker, but after a second of realization, Carro found it to be quite the opposite. 'O-oh, hello! Long time no see.' Carro responded after regaining his bearings. 'Usually you need a physical ID card to get in. Not that it's stopped some troublemakers as of late, but y'know.' He shrugged.
'But since we know each other and you're, y'know, the Kami, we can make an exception... I'd head down there myself, buuuuut I can't really move right now.' Carro winced as he felt Cola rest his head on one of his legs. The feline had Carro right where he wanted him. 'LEO should be there in a minute to let you in.'
On the higher floors of the towering building, LEO was pushing several crates of trashed wires and metal to the side of her hangar when she felt a familiar mental pang from her partner... Chime was here? This was a pleasant surprise of a visitor for once! Hoisting open the garage doors, she hopped out of the building and onto the grass below. "It's alright- he's a friend." She called to the two guards at the entrance. They exchanged glances before nodding to their superior- with a swipe of a keycard, the gates slid open.
"Well, it's been awhile, hasn't it? How's life been treating you lately?" The mech asked, turning to head to the castle's opened entrance. "Carro's in the living room- it's right down the leftmost hallway." She quickly clarified- the winding halls, tall enough to even allow LEO to comfortably walk in, were easy to become lost in- even Carro got confused every now and then. "Is there anything in particular that brings you here?"
LEO's LIFE LINK (x9P) and [UT1] of the same name are ACTIVE! Her PL is sensible and feels somewhat like Carro's. [UT1] Ki Suppression lowers her Power Level to 100. Cola is both an NPC and an actual cat, and thus has negligible, tiny levels of PL

Chime's whole expression brightened when he 'heard' Carro's voice, then he frowned just as quickly when he heard what the President said. He couldn't move! Was he injured from some attack Chime had missed? He supposed he'd see in a second, so he kept his worries to himself. "Right, okay! Thanks! I'll be right there!" He replied to Carro, trying to keep his tone as light as it had been a second ago. Then he looked to the gate guards and forced a smile that ended up a little smug, "They're coming to let me in." He told them.
And sure enough, there was LEO, bounding down to greet him. He greeted her with a grin as he followed her inside. The giant cat-droid seemed to be in good spirits, so maybe that bode well for Carro's state, too. "Hey, LEO! Life's been okay. Quieter than usual, which I'm not complaining about. But y'know, calm before a storm and all... Uh, anyway, how're you? How's Carro?" A note of concern found its way into his words on that last part, but Chime reigned himself in from looking like too much of a worry wart. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important, I just figured we hadn't seen each other in a while, so..." he shrugged.
"Oh, I brought gifts!" Chime shifted the pumpkin under his arm as he walked, and held the bouquet of flowers up for LEO to see, "It's...not really anything for you though, sorry about that. We could tuck the flowers into your wires and...tube things?" He wasn't exactly sure how LEO worked, but she sure had a lot of pieces sticking out. They could be adorned with flowers and still function, right?
Soon enough, they arrived at the room Carro was in, and Chime pushed the door open with his shoulder, "Here I am! ...Oh!" Carro was on the couch, and he seemed alright, no obvious injuries, but Chime stopped short when he saw the dark, fuzzy shape curled in his lap. A second of peering at it revealed a long, Nashi-like tail. A cat! It was actually kind of cute. Chime stepped closer to set his flowers and pumpkin down on a nearby table.
"Aww, Carro! I didn't know you had a dog."

CARRO's PL: 100 || LEO's PL: 100 (SUPPRESSED / 176k BASE) || COLA's PL: CAT
Chime was in good spirits, causing LEO to sigh in relief. A part of her was worried that some wise guy had tried to attack the Lookout for what, the fifth time? "We're doing well, but there's the whole 'calm before the storm' as you said. It's usually only a matter of when in regards to Earth sticking it's nose in trouble." She sighed, gazing to King's Castle. It was surprising that it'd only been attacked once... "But that's all the more reason to savor the times of peace that we do happen across!"
The Kami did come bearing gifts of sorts. A pumpkin, likely for the fall holidays, and some flowers. She nodded with a smile, but came to a stop at the living room before she could formulate a response. Carro had managed to get himself in a slightly more comfortable position to tap at his controller, but the feline on his lap remained sprawled and content pinning the President in place. "Oh, hey!" He greeted, pausing the game on screen.
Carro held back a laugh as Chime mistook the feline for a dog- though that was namely from the pang of shock he felt from LEO. Her expression remained unchanging, but for a moment he could feel her contemplating life as she wondered if she had been mistaken for a dog this entire time by the Kami. "His name's Cola- I've had him ever since he was a kitten." He introduced the cat, who mewed in content. LEO shook her head and thoughts away as Carro clarified his pet's species. ".....And if I move he'll wake up, soooooooooo." He could trounce a bloodthirsty demon, survive being crushed in the claws of a rabid Oozaru, but disturbing an adorable sleepy cat? That was far beyond Carro's power.
"Buuut yeah, it's good to see you again! It always feels like every other time we get together it's cause of some wise guy tries to cause trouble on Earth, so this is a nice change of pace." Though most of their meetings were under unfortunate pressure as Earth's leaders, Carro did see the Namekian as a friend. Getting to know Chime better had been on his to-do list for awhile. "We just got back from work- me and 'Lee have our schedules cleared for the day." He affirmed after a moment. If they wanted to get head to the city for a much-needed vacation of sorts, Carro was available. It had been a long while since he had free time, not in imminent danger of death, and someone to hang out with. What were people supposed to do in these scenarios again...?

Chime didn't seem to notice LEO's stop at the living room door, at least not yet. He happily strolled on into the room and, after setting his gifts down on the table, approached the couch where Carro and the cat, Cola were. The subtle correction that Cola had been a kitten as a baby, and wasn't a dog, flew far over his head. Of course the cat was a cat, he could see that. Dog was just another way to say pet, in Chime's mind, and by the looks of how comfy Cola was on her owner's lap, he was a very good dog indeed.
Not wanting to disturb Carro and in turn the cat, Chime plopped himself down on the floor in front of them, cross legged. He held a hand up slowly towards Cola for him to sniff, "Hey, Cola! I'm Chime. Don't worry about me, you can keep on sleeping as much as you want."
To Carro he flashed a bright smile, "I know! I think the only real peaceful time I've seen you was the first time we met. And you weren't even President then, just some guy wandering in the woods with a radar! Wow..." He let out a breath and looked out into the middle distance. The idea that they'd gone all that time without ever just...talking, like normal people are suposed to, was sobering. It weighed on Chime's cheery mood just a bit, but he quickly shook the heavy feelings off. "It's good to see you have time to yourselves, though. Oh--"
It was now that Chime realized LEO hadn't come in with him. He'd thought she'd been following right beside him. He frowned and leaned over to look out the doorway, "Uh, LEO? Are you stuck? Can't you just get smaller and come inside...?" Chime had seen LEO change size to take her armor form around Carro, and he assumed she could shift like that on her own, too. Maybe something was wrong?
