FUR AND FEATHERS STICK TOGETHER
Choco's PL: 4,780
The South City Park, the same place Choco lost his journal. The boy was sitting on a bench, wearing a simple black short sleeved shirt tucked into jeans, looking around at the people going by. He didn't recognize a single once of these faces as any of the forms his culprit changed into. He had no idea why he thought they would come back here, but it was the only thing he could do to try and find him with the knowledge he had. He gave a quick little sigh, leaning back. "What am I going to do?" He whispered to himself, he heard someone cry out, immediately causing him to sit back up straight. A little boy just fell over and got upset.
He was on edge now, he had no idea when the man would show up. He needed to get this stress off him, he just had no idea how.

Sulfur was currently taking a little stroll around that same park, using her limited free time to go and look around the city that she called her home. Today seemed like a great day to be perfectly honest; the sun was shining, the birds are chirping... All that good stuff. She decided to take a walk around South City's Park, believing that it would be the best area to spend her time on.
The avali was currently walking on the pavement that went through the park, looking around while she done so, acting as if she was a tourist. Sulfur had a good ol' walk before deciding that she was tired; with a short body and everything, walking certain distances can make someone as small as her tired.
She would decide to walk over to an occupied bench, which Choco was in, and climbed onto it. Sulfur would sigh quietly and close her eyes, grinning to herself. She was too relaxed to even tell the boy besides her was a little distressed.

As the boy continued to look around, he couldn't help but feel like something was close by. He didn't know what it was, but it just seemed like he wasn't noticing something. That's when he looked down beside him, noticing the small bird like creature just sitting there, which caused him to jump a bit. "By the Kais above where did you come from!?" He shouted, then took repeated quick breathes, he held a hand over his chest tightly. "S-Sorry, I just didn't notice you." Choco said, trying to calm down, he straightened his posture and just stared at the Avali, "I've just been in a bit of a panic, I do hope I didn't freak you out with my reaction."

Oh, he freaked her out alright. Her big, bug-like eyes widened whenever she heard Choco shout, the feathers on her body fluffing up in surprise. "OH, JEEZ. DON'T HURT ME." She would shout out as well, nearly jumping off the bench before seeing the boy calming down. The avali would do the same, her feathers defluffing as she heard him aplogizing.
"I-It's alright! Just uh, don't... don't yell, please. Kinda hurt my ears a little bit." Suflur quietly replied, rubbing at her four ears as she relaxed into the bench. "Anyways, uh, you doin' okay? Seems like something is bothering you, especially since you... kinda yelled at me, a stranger."

Choco rubbed his face, glad to hear that Sulfur was at least fine with what had just happened. "Yeah, I'm good, again I'm sorry for that. Just been..." He thought for a second, he realized that if he gave the real answer then she would probably find him crazy. So putting a hand on the side of his face, Choco finally continued, "I haven't been getting that much sleep, been having a lot of work on my hands, school and everything."

The avali looked up at him for a moment, nodding whenever he apologized. She tilted her head to the side as she waited on what else he was gonna say, letting out a quiet chuckle once given the reason on why he shouted at her. "Well, alright. Yeah, school can be really stressful at times, with all the work and everything." Sulfur said with a small smile, which only revealed her front fang. "I'm guessing you're here to just relax and get your bearings? I usually do that here and there, especially if I mess up something... like a vehicle engine blowing up in my face." Yeah, that happens a lot.

The boy looked at the feathered girl, giving off a weak smile to her response. "Your job sounds tough, I assume that you're a mechanic of sorts? Yeah I can imagine how thins might turn out bad." His smile grew, "But hey, you chose your career because you enjoy it right? Or at least I hope so."
