Reg’s PL: 5 (Antisense)
The moon up in this world’s night sky reminded Reg a lot of Luna. His homeworld was also a moon, and it had a similar faint glow to its surface. Reg wondered if any people like his own race lived up there or if it was just barren. He felt that it would be sad if it were barren, given how closely it resembled Luna. Although, Luna was tinged with a bit more blue. The crack of the campfire stirred Reg from his thoughts of homesickness. He and Vuu had set up in the desert for the night, hoping to get a fresh start in the morning. He needed to find something that he could carry her around in. She didn’t like the star that lit up the sky at all. Right now, Vuu had buried herself in the sand and was pretending to be some kind of worm. She swam through the sand with surprising ease, though Reg worried what she would do if she needed to breathe. She had wandered off somewhere else, playing sand worm and sometimes breaching the sand and roaring like some kind of monster. It was pretty cute if Reg was honest. He couldn’t help but smile at her antics. Sometimes she tried to get him in on the game too, but tonight she seemed content to do her own thing. That was just as well for Reg. He needed to do his usual set of prayer. He never liked going too long without them. Taking a deep breath, Reg clasped his hands together and turned away from the fire. He looked up at this world’s moon, envisioning Luna in its place. “Dearest Luna, may thee shine bright unto eternity for thou art my home and my truest goddess. Please continue to watch over me, and may thine grace extend to Vuu as well. She’s… she may not be one of your children, but I ask of thee that thou might treat her as such as one who has… um… adopted her… I guess?”Reg frowned and thought about it. He wasn’t sure how to classify their relationship. She had sort of adopted him in a way. They both looked after one another, but Reg sort of viewed her like a little sister. She was still so childish in a lot of ways. He hoped that he could give her more of a life than what she had in the Demon Realm. Yeah. Okay, he could ask for that. “She was lost in a dark place called the Demon Realm, so please, bless her with thine light.”

"Who the hell needs the light?" Came a response from the darkness of the desert, as an orange demon dressed in form fitting black stepped into view. "Certainly didn't do me any good! These looks are all demonic, baby!" He continued, gesturing at himself before cackling in something approaching glee, sharp teeth glinting in the firelight. Stepping forward, his halo buzzing about his head, he looks around. "Nice setup ya got here. Very uh, very rustic I gotta say. Now... where's your friend? 'Cause it definitely ain't you I sensed with the whole demonic energy shindig. No offence cutie." Rin-go continued, seating himself down on the sand and faking a yawn as he glanced around. They had to be nearby, and he was curious to see if they were travelling with this... moth looking alien, or if they were trying to eat them. Either way it'd be a good story.
Rin-go was certainly pleased that he had finally found something entertaining within this vast sea of sand and boring stuff. While he certainly wasn't going to complain (too much) to his boss, he had still questioned in his head why the duo were out here in the first damn place, and not enjoying the luxuries of civilisation back in one of the cities. But it was far from him to actually fully disobey an order from Kanto, and so the duo had gone off on some seemingly pointless but no doubt important journey to a damn desert. It had bored Rin-go out of his mind initially, with nothing to talk to beyond his somewhat silent boss and nothing to torment that wasn't a scorpion.
It was because of this that he had felt a thrill of excitement when he caught the faintest whiff of demonic energy. He couldn't sense Ki, not yet, but he would recognise that feeling from anywhere, now that he was so bereft of it within this mortal realm. It's what came off of him, and off of Kanto to a lesser degree. Of course, he wouldn't ever say that his boss smelled like a demon. That was a surefire way to be growing his teeth back over the next week and a bit. Something about being above filthy demons or whatever, he wasn't exactly sure. Rin-go could follow orders better than them, but that didn't mean he had more time to waste on listening to other's rambling speeches. Only his own, thanks. Plus, while he followed Kanto for a reason that he hadn't shared even with his boss, said reason certainly wasn't because he believed in helping the fallen god reclaim his title and heritage.
"Oh and, yeah, don't freak out or whatever when my boss comes out from... wherever he is. Dunno. He's the one in a spooky mask." Rin-go continued, waving his hand in front of his face like one would try and waft away a bad smell, but instead trying to put aside that potential problem. Wouldn't be his, after all. "So uh, where you from Mothman?" He continued, settling himself comfortably in. If Kanto wanted them to move, he would need to drag Rin-go. Not that that would be difficult for him, but the hassle would make the demon happy.

Vuu’s PL: 375,000 | 150,000 (x5/x2T Sugar Rush | 75k Base)
Regulus hadn’t expected an answer much less one so sudden. He jumped and let out a fearful squeak before turning to see just who or, in this case, what had made the comment. What he saw… puzzled him. Regulus hadn’t been in the demon realm for long, but he had been there long enough to know what demons looked like and the sort of air they gave off. This guy was a demon. The man sort of reaffirmed that by bragging about his demonic looks. Reg smiled at him uncertainly. He didn’t… seem hostile. He hoped Vuu didn’t come back any time soon. She would not like this man. And, as he thought of her, Reg’s heart nearly stopped when the demon mentioned her. He knew about Vuu?! “U-Um… she’s… off playing, I think.”He didn’t really see the point in dodging the question if this demon already knew about Vuu. It seemed like he wasn’t alone either. A worried look came over him. His boss? With a mask? Sounded suspicious. But it actually wasn’t long before the demon made himself comfortable and asked him where he was from. Reg sighed with half exasperation and half fear for himself, Vuu, and what Vuu might do to this demon if she found him here. “Ah… well… I’m from a distant moon called Luna. Luna is… well the moon itself is… our goddess. That’s… who I was praying to a moment ago. A-Ah! My name is Regulus… um… it's nice to meet you, demon, sir, but you should maybe… get going before-“Regulus didn’t really have a chance to finish that statement as he suddenly felt the ground tremble under his feet. Oh no. Bursting out of the sand behind him was… well, it could only be described as a monster. It had eight limbs with clawed hands at the ends of each. It’s face was obscured by a thick mane of jet black hair. A solitary red eye glowered menacingly. The body was a tangle of black torn fabric and pink flesh. It even had a jagged tail. It was some horrific amalgamation of a humanoid, spider and scorpion all in one, and worse, it was absolutely massive. It landed with a massive thump over Regulus, shielding him with its body protectively. It’s whole body shuddered and shook as it growled low. Regulus knew that the shaking and growling was actually because Vuu was scared. This was what Vuu was like when she was really scared. He tried to push his way out from under her and managed to slip between her legs just in time to throw himself between her and the demon. Three of her claws had gone on the attack and stopped dead in the air just before hitting Reg. He smiled at Vuu as reassuring as he could. “H-Hey, Vuu! Easy there… it’s okay. I don’t think he wants to hurt us, alright? Just calm down…”Vuu swished her tail back and forth anxiously, making a sound almost like a whine. Her legs stomped in place, making her look like she wanted to run away. Regulus was sure that was exactly what she wanted to do, but she wasn’t going to leave him alone with the demon either. Regulus glanced back at the demon apologetically. “Ah… Sorry… she’s a little scared of strangers. Especially demons.”
