Thread PL: 14,550
Items: Z-sword, Scouter
Sgiath had been hearing rumors recently, through some people on the streets at North City, that there was going to be some raid at some Blue Banner Army Base located in the Fotuneteller's Desert, Diablo Desert, or some other desert. Sgiath inquired about it, and they said it's a bit scattered all around the globe. However, the BBA were known to have dabbled in all sorts of tech back in the day! So much so that they were able to conceive of android designs so lifelike that they even transitioned to those today, and this was 200 years ago! Sgiath had some knowledge of this history due to his college years, but he figured there wouldn't be anyone being so foolish to go rushing into some abandoned base... However, he mulled over the things he did in college himself, and came to the conclusion that they'd do that himself.
So, Sgiath got himself a flight going out to Ginger Town, with Frederick in tow. Frederick was a sword of his that he recently acquired accidentally from an incident at a exhibit in North City. Specifically, it was the spirit on it. Sgiath had rushed into bloody scene and had become bound to Sgiath for his courage and, as Frederick put it, recklessness. Sgiath was far weaker than the guy leading the attack at the exhibit, and even with Sgiath getting supported, Sgiath was beaten to a pulp. They were a bit miffed about this trip to the Fortuneteller's Desert, but it was comforting to be out of a display for 50 years and be seeing the world.
When they touched down in Ginger Town, Sgiath was about to try for hitchhiking when he got out of the town, but then Frederick said to him, telepathically, 'Hold up, youngster.'
"What," Sgiath asked, "It beats trying to get there on foot, man."
'This is the perfect time to teach you how to use your energy to fly, or at least, get your speed up.'
"No, that's dumb! That's like 5000 kilometers to run! That'll take me months and, not to mention, I gotta get food and stuff, so that's about a year!"
'Oh, please. You got enough energy on reserve that you can easily travel that in mere minutes if you put some of it to your legs! Besides, you've done that sort of journey in a month's time, didn't you?
"Yeah, but that was because I had assistance from people on the road while also helping them!"
Sgiath pulled the sword up in front of him, leering at it in astonishment. Fred's tone was entirely serious! Sgiath shook his head and sheathed the blade once more, holding out his thumb. Then, the sword spoke, asking, 'Do you really want another confrontation with people, like what happened on the plane ride here?'
The young man furrowed his brow and frowned. Sgiath was unable to hand over the sword, as it'd fly back to his hands after travelling through the machine. He even specified it was a sword to the security and figured it'd be alright. However, the blade flew back to him, almost magnetically attaching itself to his back. He tried to get it off his back and the guards tried to help him too! However, it refused to shift. This wasn't even Frederick's doing! In fact, it did the same with him when he was alive! The sword had some weird properties about it, and was why Frederick had attached himself to it instead of passing on. He didn't want whoever used it next to be incapable of wielding it and get into incidents! They tried to put it into cargo so many times that had to get Sgiath seated with the marshal on the plane. That was probably the best situation Sgiath could ask for, all things considered. However, he knew people would around here were gonna be less inclined to just let it slide.
"Fine," he submitted, "How're we gonna do this?"
'Excellent,' Frederick replied, 'Alright so here's how it works. Do you remember how you moved around in a huge spurt of speed?'
Sgiath got to jogging down the road, heading towards the general southwest direction. He nodded, so the sword spirit continued. He explained it simply and with it, Sgiath put it into practice. The run was agonizing, but surprisingly enough, Sgiath found himself in the desert! He put the directions into the scouter's GPS, based on the location for one of the meeting places for the raid. He wasn't far off and got there in the middle of the blistering desert heat, and what was also surprising was what he saw upon arrival!
He was greeted by civilians, who readily got to speaking what was going on. The hundreds there were set on raiding this one place, some of them being a bit provocative with their message. Others were honestly there to make sure they didn't hurt themselves and were giving out water to people. One such person came to Sgiath and gave him a water bottle! When they got to asking the guy what he was doing there, he wasn't sure how to reply for a moment. However, he rounded up his explanation as, "I'm here because I wanted to make sure people wouldn't do anything dumb."
The response went over better than expected, the person who gave him a bottle of water dragging him over to where some huge tents were at! In there, they had beds and all sorts of supplies to meet with any random situation that came up! Some, in fact, were part of Earth's military! They figured that all of these people coming out here was going to be problematic and, in fact, set this up before they did in case. Sgiath got himself situated inside, and as the sun begun to set, people were grouping around camp fires and got to grilling.
Frederick spoke to Sgiath's mind once more, reminding him, 'Be on your guard, Sgiath. Some of these people could be more dangerous than they-'
"Yeah, I got'cha," Sgiath whispered, having been standing on his own with a water bottle in hand. He was peering at the scattered fires and tents. He didn't need to be told. Something was bound to happen, and he needed to be ready!
Okay, sorry for the long introduction! I figured I ought to lay out the scene and how he got here before getting to the present.

"Yah so this base is crazy I am telling you Mr.Kraktus go check it out don't kill me." This man had been wearing a Costume of Kraktus himself trying to pretend he was the great lord. Krkatus had come to pay his dues to the man but he had told him of something that was quite interesting. An old base of the Earth Military that would be very interesting to check out. Kraktus looked over the man before he telekinetically threw the man into the sky and watched him crashed down dead. "Heh." Kraktus grinned. Senseless violence always puts a bit of a smile on his face. Kraktus then flew off to come to this base and see what was going on.
When he arrived he saw a large crowd of people just waiting around? Kraktus checked his scouter and saw that everyone there was quite weak. Except for one person. Someone there had the power of over <10,000>. "Ohh so this ain't just a joke as a man said." Kraktus grinned. If someone that strong was coming to attack it, there must be something of importance. Kraktus floated down towards the ground to meet all these people. "Seems we got a crowd of fools?" Kraktus looked as some dude walked over with a water bottle. "Hey, dude drink this were gonna raid this place up." Kraktus took the bottle and drank it. "Thank you, sir." The man blinked. "Yah no problem?" Kraktus looked towards Sgiath after. "You human." He pointed at him. "What is this all about tell me before I destroy the lot."

It had been a few days since Okra had arrived on planet Earth. Frankly speaking, the planet was beautiful compared to Vegeta. The humans had it good. Breathtaking waterfalls, colorful sunsets, bustling well-designed cities, magnificent mountains, and a remarkable starry sky if you got far away enough from metropolitan areas. Okra was a saiyan, but he could still appreciate beauty for what it was.
The deserts? Well, those were a bit more familiar. They were barren, rugged wastelands, similar to the penal colony Okra had been stationed at. The saiyan found himself flying above one now, still searching for Prince Vocado. Without a scouter, he had next to no ability to find the saiyan prince. His inability to find him was frustrating. He needed answers about what had happened to the saiyan empire.
Flying through the air, he spotted something peculiar. In the distance he could see a massive group of people gathered in front of what seemed to be a sizable military compound. Tents and even fires were scattered about, clearly set up by the crowd. He zoomed down to get a closer look.
As he descended, he could make out individual signs that a few people held above their heads. He wasn’t close enough to read them, but they sure were numerous. Coming closer, a few humans spotted the saiyan, pointing up at his floating form. Some held looks of curiosity, wondering just who this newcomer, who could fly of all things, wanted.
His feet softly touched the ground. A human male who had some strange insignia on his shirt- it was a circle with one line down the middle, two more branching down at a 45 degree angle- approached him, “Hey dude… are you like… God or something? Or an alien? Cause that would be awesome dude,” the human was evidently under the influence of something.
Okra frowned, “Is this what humans call a… what was the word? Protest?” he had heard about the strange human custom during his studies on Vegeta. Noble children were typically taught about galactic history, cultures, and relations. Most ignored the history lessons, but Okra was always curious as a child.
“Wait, so you are an alien? That’s awesome dude. And uh, well this is uhm, well a raid man. You haven’t heard about it? It’s like, been all over the ‘net, dude.”
“A raid? Wh-” the saiyan cut himself off as he spotted a small commotion in the midst of the gathering. He pushed through the crowd, spotting a strange looking alien addressing a human equipped with a powerful looking sword.
As he approached the duo, a man walked up to him and asked if he wanted a bottle of water. Okra ignored the human and continued forward, catching the tail end of what the purple alien said.
Okra cleared his throat, glancing at the alien, “It’s some sort of raid apparently. Although, I’m confused as to why humans would want to raid their own military’s base,” he narrowed his eyes at the sword-wielding man, “Maybe the human knows?”

For the most part, things were going smoothly, no real danger being present. The people there didn't at all seem intent on actually going through with the raid. No, instead, they were content to have just gathered! They were telling stories to one another about their lives and were simply content of just having the company. Sgiath didn't even find a single trace of a bad egg among them... Although some did smell of bad eggs. He figured they just wanted to the social interaction. Sgiath had, at that point, chosen to relax himself on one of the chairs set up and closed his eyes. His scouter wasn't actively searching for any power levels, and thus, was spooked by the sudden appearance of some octopus headed guy with a bottle of water in hand! The guy had a weird way of talking, addressing him with a threat. The sword messaged to Sgiath, 'Of all the costumes I've seen so far today, this one's the most bland...'Sgiath was about to reply when another person, a saiyan, approached the two as well. They seemed unaware of what was up. So, Sgiath continued with speaking, raising up his hand as he stood up from the worn out lawn chair, "Hang on, let me get the story on my scouter visor..." He tapped the visor a few times near the left hinge, bringing up several articles on Z-TV detailing something going on that the Earth was able to catch a story on. He came to a stop at what sired this. "I quote, ' 500,000 Jitter Users Petition to Raid Mothballed BBA Base to Obtain "Alien Secrets" ,' end quote," Sgiath started, before turning the glass off, and waving his hands around at the sea of tents, "Essentially, among the confusion of this BBA Base they want to raid this base for, there are all sorts of groups heading to reported BBA bases around the Earth. They're grouping up out of interest on being here, rather than actually committing to the raid so fa-" Someone that was near by caught ear of this and cut Sgiath off. He was red in the face before speaking and seemed to have thought he said something about his Dad for some reason! They were gonna rant before one of the medical personnel came running out and swept the kid up into their arms and berating them as they brought them back to the tent. Sgiath then pinched the bridge of his nose, elucidating, "Most of these people are essentially teens who're just wanting the social interaction, as you can see there. Some of them are in alright shape, but some of these others? If these medics weren't here, there'd be people getting evacuated out of here by chopper to get them to the nearest FOB for medical attention! So that's about it." He shrugged with a sigh. "Honestly, there might be stuff, but nothing that's worth anyone's time... So, what about you guys? What brought you guys out here," Sgiath asked. General Kraktus

Kraktus turned his head as another man had arrived. His scouter beeped to life letting him know of the power of this man was quite impressive. <22,500> was not bad at all. It was far and away from the strongest power in this area. “Yes, a raid on a base like this. It seems to be a bit odd but guess what you humans do when you're bored. Go do something stupid as if your all asking for someone to snap you apart.” Kraktus said in annoyance. The other man with the sword explained what was going on. They were raiding on this old BBA base to get alien secrets. Kraktus looked up on deadpan? Were these people all ignorant? All they had to do was look up into the sky. Hell, their president was an alien for sales. Kraktus was pretty sure all of these people were a bunch of deaf fools. Just another reason he needed to give them a guiding hand. Then the man went on more about a lot of these people were here for the social reaction.
Kraktus finally let out a groan as he finished up. “So you have a ton of people out here because they want to pretend they are not going to die alone?” Kraktus said looking through the crowd with annoyance. “Why I am here is just to see what the buzz about now I see quite disappointed. All I've found is a bunch of fools.” Kraktus shook his head. “Why do they want some alien secrets do we not live in an era where that is clear to see. If they all wanted to talk about why not just go to a park.” Kraktus asked.

Okra tilted his head in slight confusion as the human explained the situation. Jitter? He had no clue what Jitter was. Social media was a very foreign concept to him. As for alien secrets, he assumed that humans knew what already knew what aliens were. What kind of secrets would a defunct military base likely used for testing secret weapons/devices, have? A lot of these humans looked very out of shape too. He doubted they’d be able to raid a Mcbao’s restaurant, much less a military base.
The purple alien spoke next. He voiced some of the thoughts Okra had regarding the whole raid. The saiyan was very curious what species the purple alien belonged to.
After the alien finished, Okra cleared his throat and spoke, “Name’s Okra. I crash landed on this planet after escaping an attack on a saiyan colony with grievous wounds. I was… unconscious for some time. I’ve actually been searching for someone who might be on this planet, and when I was flying around looking for any other saiyans, I spotted this… gathering. A lot of these humans look very out of shape. I don't think they would be able to raid the compound if they wanted to.” he paused for a moment before voicing a question, “What is this… Jitter?”
A nearby human gasped and pointed at the purple alien, “GUYS LOOK! IT’S AN ALIEN! SOMEONE MUST’VE MADE IT IN AND LET HIM OUT!” humans began to crowd around the trio, clamoring to get a look at the ‘secret’ alien.
“Dude, can you like, speak our language?”
“Did they perform any tests on you? What kind of tests? It's okay, you can tell us."
“Bro, what’s the name of your species?”
“Can I take a selfie with you?? I want to post it on Jitter!”
“Are more of you locked up in there? Don’t worry! We’ll save the rest of your species!”
“THIS IS SO COOOL.”
“I really want a selfie. Please please please?”
A bright flash momentarily blinded Okra as a human shot a picture, “Yes! That was a good one!” the human remarked, quickly stuffing his phone away.
“Guys what if we’re scaring it?”
"Yea, we could be traumatizing the poor thing."
"Bro, what other secrets do they have in there??"

'Okay, so this isn't a bit on this guy's part,' Sgiath thought to himself as the tentacle face guy spoke, doing his best to keep composure. The guy didn't say his name, opting to remark about humans being suicidal. The saiyan, meanwhile, actually gave the name, Okra, and responded to his question! They crash landed on Earth and had been looking for other saiyans. He then also remarked about to the abnormal lack of physique on the people who were rushing towards them, some heaving for air. The other guy continued to remark about this, pointing out that they're oblivious to the era they live in!
These people that ran up started bombarding comments and questions to Kraktus, firstly, while one took a picture on their phone. Sgiath out both of his hands, exclaiming, "Guys, stop being a bunch of idiots and get over to the medical tent before Niira comes over and knocks you out!"
Sgiath then pointed to the two and apologized, explaining, "These kids are shut-ins, so not many of them realize other people from other planets visit all the time..."
He said this loud enough to get the point across.
"If they actually did their history and learned a bit more about our planet's government, then they'd know these, 'alien secrets,' are just technologies developed from about 200 years ago or even longer," Sgiath continued, now shouting! He sighed and put his hands on his hips, shaking his head, and calmly introduced himself, "Before I go into a tangent, I'm Sgiath Iàidir. Most people call me Addler or, 'Addy.' Do you guys want to have a look around?"

Krkatus grunted when Okra spoke. So he a saiyan warrior huh. Yet he was not apart of the Kingdom it seems. Yet in this environment, he didn't want to expose who he was just yet. He'd rather just wait around. Then a ton of kids began to point and shout at him. Veins formed on his face as they spoke about him. He had met a lot of stupid people but these nearly took the whole lot. He was just ready to destroy them seeing that it would be quite easy. Yet Sgiath spoke about how these kids were shut in and didn't know a thing. He'd looked towards the kid who was speaking of Jitter. A grin formed on his face as Sgiath spoke about the technology and how it was really old and gave his name, "Yes ok that is quite cool." Krkatus said waving him off as he looked towards the kids.
"No, I am not from the base." Kraktus calmly said. "There is nothing there. You see they make secret bases filled with nothing of that importance to get you all to think they are no secret aliens. The fact is we are all outside in space." Kraktus tried to calmly explain. He felt like a fucking moron doing this but anything that can be made into an advantage would be useful. "Your president made a secret alliance with these aliens outside of space. An alien empire that could conquer earth but only does not since one of its own has married their queen." He was exaggerating but the point was the same. Ramen in his mind was what held Kayen back. God the day he could see her as a monster she was. He had seen a shade of it on Arosce. He had to admit it scared him a bit. To know he was biting death by merely its heels. He wanted the whole universe to have that feeling. "Does that make sense?" He asked the lot of them.

Okra listened to the human introduce himself. The man’s name was Addler, and he remarked that most of these humans were something called ‘shut-ins’. The saiyan briefly wondered what that meant. He also added that most of the alien secrets in the BBA base was just plain old tech, and asked if the two wanted to look around.
Meanwhile, the purple alien was peppered with questions from the surrounding humans and seemed to be surprisingly patient with them. He said something about an alien empire being able to conquer Earth, and only not doing so because an earthling had married the queen. It sounded far-fetched to Okra, and he figured that the purple alien was just trying to pull one over the naive kids.
Okra pointed behind him at the kids, and remarked to Addler, “I mean, most aliens look at least somewhat humanoid. I doubt they’ve seen anything,” he pointed at the purple alien, “like him. Hell, I’m a saiyan and I have no clue what species he is. So I mean, I can somewhat understand their fascination with him,” he thought for a moment about searching the compound, “I mean, I’m not averse to taking a look inside. I’m curious what might be there.”
As Okra spoke with Addler, humans continued to question the purple alien.
“Man, this alien’s a jokester too! That’s a good mister! What space flick did you watch recently to get that joke?”
“Yea! You’re super funny. Have you thought about being a comedian?”
“Guys! My picture of him has already got three thousand upvotes! This is totes hitting the front page of Baoddit. I'm gonna get SOO MUCH karma.”
“What’s your name mister alien? We all wanna know.”

The squid faced individual didn't give Sgiath's explanation much heed. He seemed to be in his own mind. Meanwhile, Okra remarked about the aliens and point behind him to the squid man about the kids' lack of information. Sgiath nodded, replying, "Yep. That's why I called them shut-ins. They stay inside most of the time and don't get to see what's actually common."
Okra, after that comment, elaborated he was up for the tour. The squid man, however, took to speaking to the kids, humoring the teens and explaining how they were out in space. He even went to talk about how there was a warring empire that could conquer the Earth if they wanted. This explanation, though, got him some ridiculous responses, while one of the kids that snagged a picture mentioned it was getting a lot of attention! Eventually, one of them even asked for his name.
'I don't like that squid man,' Frederick finally spoke after a while to Sgiath, 'The way he's verbally carrying himself is disgraceful of one like him!'
"... Pardon me for a moment. I'll be back to give you that tour in a moment, fellas," Sgiath iterated, flaring his nostrils before doing so as if he just got insulted! He stepped away with a twist to turn away, tapping on the hinge of scouter as he did! This set the scouter to its basic operations.
He took several steps away before speaking, stammering out his question as he did.
"Okay, that was weirdly said. You wanna elaborate what you meant by that?"
'That squid man is a soldier, Sgiath. You saw what he was wearing.'
"It's just a bit he's doing. There's nothing foul about him acting as he is, even if he's sounding like a dreading Na-na."
'... How is he speaking like a- Never mind that. What is important, though, is that armor of his is authentic armor and the way he's carrying himself is-'
"Oh would you relax already? He's nothing foul," Sgiath interrupted, turning back to the group partially, "Look, I'll scan his power level and it'll be something low, like 10 or something, alright?"
'Fine.'
Sgiath tapped the scouter, centering the device's scanner to the squid man. Upon the scan, the numbers rocketed up, shooting way beyond Sgiath's! He felt his blood draining quickly, his hand sliding down to the hilt of his sword. It went beyond 50,000 in mere seconds, and when it shot above 100,000! At that point, he turned off the scanner, sighed, and turned back around.
'Well, lad?'
"Need a moment..!"

He'd look to Okra. He was a rare species out there. The Zoonmites didn't have the technology to leave their planet and had very little reason too. "That is quite true." He shrugged. As for the people sadly for him they thought he was a clown and making a joke. "No, I am quite serious." He said deadpan a she looked at them. As the one kid with the phone made a note of all the up votes he got Kraktus telekinetically grabbed his phone bringing it to him. "My name is of little concern to you. You'd all not know it and I have no reason to tell you." He'd type into the phone and tag the president of Earth Carro. "Hmmph." That would annoy the bugger. He'd type the following, "I'd make sure to protect the Human Ramen. I am going to snap her neck." He'd post it and float the phone back. "Well, he will get that. Congrats Kids the President is going to follow you." He'd looked at Sgiath who was using a scouter. "You found something interesting hmm." He knew the man was scanning him and he even had his hand on his sword. "Is that a good idea. I could bend you in half with my pinky let alone my fist." Krkatus grinned at Sgiath.

Addler stepped away for a moment, but the purple alien continued to speak with him. He even went so far as to threaten Addler! He claimed he could kill the human with just his pinky. Okra decided not to say anything, instead opting to cross his arms and see how the situation would resolve itself. He didn’t plan on taking any sides should the two come to blows. The alien was undoubtedly hostile towards most judging by the words he used. He was impressed by the alien’s display of telekinesis, and so were the teens.
“Yo, what was that? You just took his phone without even touching it… can you use telekinesis?
“Holy crap guys, that picture and tag is already blowing up. This is soooo cool.”
“Do you not like our president mister alien?”
“It’s ok if you don’t want to introduce yourself. We get it, want to protect your identity and all that.”
Okra frowned and finally growled, “I suggest you kids run along. Now,” there was a slight edge to his voice, a steel to it. The kids all frowned at him, but they figured the saiyan probably shouldn’t be trifled with. So they skulked off, but not before leaving a few words.
“Geeze what crawled up his butt this morning.”
“Saiyan’s are so mean, geeze.”
"Yea, that guy freaking sucks."
Okra just rolled his eyes and frowned.

'He seems to even know your glasses have the parts of a scouter, too. You ought to be respectable to the cretin.'
"Well," Sgiath begun his reply walking back to them, "I had to at least notify the others of you guys arriving. My curiosity got the best of me, and for that, I will have to apologize."
The squid-man's smirk was unsettling, considering it was mainly tentacles and you couldn't really see the mouth. It was more of the tentacles reflexively moving in the arch of the mouth. Okra seemed to have been reading the situation well with the expressions and words, ordering the kids to leave them be. Sgiath continued, "On to the matter of the tour I was suggesting, would you still be up for it? The camp isn't huge, but does have some interesting things around... Well, interesting to me! Not sure if you'd be. You are visiting the Earth after all."
His words were honestly meant for the both of them, but his gaze was fixed on Kraktus. He maintaining his composure after reading their power level just to make sure he didn't step on any toes, figuratively speaking. He wasn't too sure what species he was. Maybe Zoonamite? Sgiath had figured Zoonamites had been more like scaled fish who evolved humanoid shape, going from those he met while at University, not squid or octopus-like!
Sorry about the delay!

Kraktus looked over at the kids as they began to ask him a ton of extra questions. "To answer all your questions. I don't like him nor do I like any of you." That was the best question to answer. He'd looked at Okra who gave the kids the right idea. These kids were not going to want to fight with him. It was a bad idea for them to stay so close to him. He could easily kill all of them along with the two strong people in Sgiath and Okra. "This saiyan is very correct you all want to get moving before I kill you all." Kraktus then telekinetically grabbed the phone he had used to send the message to Carro and crushed it into bits. Just to show them he was quite serious. He had his fun with all of them he was really focused on talking with the saiyan and the human with the sword. He'd eyed Sgiath as he seemed to think he was visiting earth which he supposed in some ways was true. Kraktus grinned playfully. "Perhaps I am visiting it. But one day i'll rule the planet that is the hope anyway." Kraktus cracked his neck. "But that will be a long time from now and it may not even happen. You warriors of the earth despite all the standing around do really pack a punch."

Okra nodded at Addler, “Sure, I’ll go on a tour through the facility I guess. Don’t really have much else to do,” he shrugged his shoulders. He did have to find Vocado, but he could put a hold on that. Whatever was in the facility could be interesting.
The saiyan frowned when the squid-man crushed the frown he had taken early. He didn’t really think that was necessary, but he wouldn’t kick up a fuss about it. When the alien proclaimed that he wanted to take over the planet, Okra was somewhat taken aback.
He turned his gaze to the squid, “You want to take over Earth? By yourself? I mean, what for? There are a lot of easier planets to conquer. Isn’t Konats still neutral or something? Be much easier to conquer that planet.”
