|A Slow Clap for the New Queen|
Vale's PL: One-shottable
The colder climate didn’t appeal much for the Shinjin who had gotten quite comfortable with the hotter climate down in the Demon Realm. Thankfully, this was exactly where a little knowledge and ingenuity, along with a dash of magic came in handy. Browsing the World Kai Web on a screen he had conjured, Vale searched for some trendy outfit he could wear in the home planet of the Arcosians, a newly conquered race. After some internal debating, he settled for a nice coat, a Bao Vuitton that was most likely the freshest in the game at the moment, given the absurd amount of praise it received from Earthling fashionistas all across the fashion and trend forums he was subscribed to. With nothing more than a snap of his fingers, he was fully dressed, completely dashing and ready to make a good impression.
While his freedom favored a bold attitude, he had to remain on his guard. On this hallowed day, he was to congratulate the queen of Arcose for her triumphant victory over a population that did not even dare fight back. Surely, it was a day to commemorate and what better way to make his grand entrance than by teleporting straight into the throne room. Now, perhaps this boldness of his would anger the newly appointed regent of this place, so he did take some precautions before meeting the queen. One of them was having a floating camera pointing at him and following him around and recording all of this event. He had considered streaming it to a popular streaming service in the Demon Realm but decided against it at the last minute. After all, he was there in good faith, well, as good as it could be. The data recorded was immediately uploaded to a literal magic cloud somewhere undisclosed so that even in the event of its destruction, a copy would be saved.
With a smoke cloud, Vale appeared in the throne room, the distant, muffled sound of rap music playing in the background. Wearing his new fashionable coat, as well as a fresh pair of shades, he assumed a welcoming position, arms crossed while his head was titled slightly towards the ground, allowing him to look above his sunglasses.
“Yo, I heard there was a new ruler here. I came to congratulate her.”
Sadly, the aforementioned ruler was nowhere to be seen. Instead, confused and somewhat shocked staff members stared at him, none of them speaking. The irony of it was that this most likely wasn’t the strangest thing they had witnessed in recent days. He held his pose for a minute, silent, until he came to the realization that the new queen was, indeed, absent. He dropped his attitude, waving his hand in the air which made the rap music stop instantly, as well as dissipating the smoke instantly. He removed his shades, still looking around a bit. He coughed, then spoke to himself.
“Well, that was embarrassing.”
After a bit of asking around, he was promptly redirected to the office where she was apparently working. Such a dutiful ruler! Still, he would’ve preferred if she spared him all the finding part. He may have been an uninvited guest, but he wasn’t just any guest.
After locking on to the strongest energy source nearby, he disappeared again, only to reappear in the office room, this time without the cool introduction. That failure earlier completely killed his vibe.
“Queen of Arcose! What a pleasure! I traveled great distances so I could meet you! I have heard of your recent exploit and I can see you are busy at work. Well, I simply came to congratulate you! Oh, right…”
There might have been something weird about seeing a random purple-skinned guy wearing a winter coat and otherwise hip-hop clothes appearing out of nowhere. He quickly realized that and once again, with a snap of his fingers, his attire changed to something more…formal.
“Sorry about that, you might be more familiar with this type of garb, right? I am Vale, a humble Shinjin. As you may know, we oversee the life of mortals down below, although we are generally instructed not to interfere. Y'know, allowing the mortals to do their thing and not let our bias shape history, that kind of thing... I have seen the struggles of your kind against the people of Arcose before. Surely, I cannot help but feel exalted that you Saiyans have finally managed to break the cycle of violence between your two species. It must be a relief, right?”
He offered a genuine smile to the Saiyan, before thinking of something that changed his expression to one of surprise.
“Oh, where are my manners! Care for some tea? Coffee, maybe?”
