Sometimes a girl has to blow off steam by punching someone as hard as she can until they stop getting punched by said girl. Sometimes she needs to blast a hole in the side of an arcade because a game is mockingly laughing at her. Other times just getting a good drink and not punching anything at all for an hour or two breaks up the stressful times and doesn't destroy any property or bones. "The hell do you mean it's in a Volcano?!", Kuma shouted out at the man doing nothing more than trying to help, throwing up his hands and pointing. "Look, you wanted a bar, and you said you wanted one that wasn't boring or in the middle of a busy city." She stared with a confused face, both hands on her hips and leaning over some "Well where the hell am I supposed to find this volcano? I don't know where I'm going around here, ya know?" The man in front of her sighed and took out a pencil and reached around in his pockets till he realized he had no paper, shaking his head some and stuffing the pencil back in his pocket as she turned and heavily pointed off towards the south. "Look, head that way, just that way, you can't miss the literal giant volcano. It's called Mount Kiwi. It's pretty famous around these parts. At the base of the mountain you'll find it." He quickly waved his hands as if he didn't want to talk anymore and pointed again. "Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but I am in a hurry.", before jogging away, looking back to her now and then. Looking off in the direction she was pointed, she squinted and shrugged, kicking off the ground and flying that direction. She was either unobservant or simply not paying attention at all, both likely, as she saw the large mountain in the distance not that far outside of the small town. It didn't take long to get there, and sure enough at the bottom of this Mount Kiwi was a building sticking half out of the rock with a neon flashing sign; INCINERATOR. There were lights below it making it look like lava dripping down in a very cheap and cheesy way, and with a grin Kuma knew this was what she was looking for.
There was a long stretch of winding land from the main land all the way out to this island, but there was no traditional road to speak of. Looking around she couldn't find any other vehicles or transportation that she was familiar with, though pushing the door open and stepping inside there were at least a dozen people inside. All she could do for the longest moment was stand just inside the door taking it all in, and to no surprise the place was a bit warmer inside than out, but not uncomfortably so, and it was a full bar just as advertised, so it seemed she found what she was looking for.

"I've worked in wackier places before, honestly..." Normally, when you ask any bartender to bar tend at your local volcano, they'd be smart and politely decline the offer. Though, Dion however, was not just any bartender. An hour or two prior to Kumas arrival, the young Saiyan male was wandering around South City in search of something to do. That wasn't too physically straining, mind you- he had just recently made a return to his gravity training and was not in the mood for doing anything that required any large amount of physical effort. Originally, Dion had planned on just seating himself at some random bar in the city, not even really in the mood for serving anyone after such an exhausting ordeal. However, as he staggered into a South City bar and was attempting to get to a seat where he could contemplate his life choices alone, someone had called out his name. Looking over to the source, it had been a shorter and older looking guy- definitely of the human variety. At first it slightly confused him as to why some random dude off the street wanted to speak to him, but then again after serving and delivering so many drinks in his time on Earth throughout all the various towns and cities he's been through, he guessed that his reputation has finally grown to a point where most could recognize him by face now. That, or he wasn't who this dude was looking for. He hoped for the latter, he really didn't feel like doing anything today. Managing to keep his focus as he listened to the man speak his plea though, Dion had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes into his skull out of politeness. This dude had a bar set in the middle of a volcano? More specifically, Mount Kiwi itself? Was he insane? That sounded like a gigantic health risk. What if the thing were to go off with all those people in there? Would they all just die? Because he sincerely doubted that any of the main patrons would have a solid enough grip on Ki to get out of there if things started going, south.
Pun not entirely intended.
Nonetheless, the out of sorts bartender relented, beating himself up a bit for being such a negative Nancy about an idea that if executed correctly would actually be pretty damn cool. Plus, as mentioned before, he has worked in weirder places. Stories for another time. Either way, he wanted to see such an idea in action anyways, so Dion was heading there whether it be as a temporary bartender for the day (his old one chickened out, guess he couldn't take the heat yeah?) or as someone to be served. He stopped by his apartment quickly to grab his bartenders garb and then after being told the directions to the bar by the man, Dion took off- moving slightly slower than usual, his enthusiasm not all quite there yet.
Upon arrival, Dion wasn't entirely blown away by the outside appearance. The cheesy sign as well as the cliche effects done with it didn't exactly help its case at all, but the Saiyan knew all too well the consequences of judging based on first impressions. While it was good to have a nice outer shell, its what dwells inside that really matters. So, he decided to have some faith, and as he opened the door to the bar his eyes were greeted by a surprising sight. There was an ample amount of people inside already, and the decor and atmosphere felt quite nice for the inside of a volcano. Walking in, he greeted a couple of the patrons as he motioned for everyone to come more toward the counter to have a drink or two- the heat doing nicely to relax his aching body a bit as he took a familiar feeling position behind the counter, beginning to serve the ever growing crowd before him.
And now to the present- where Dion leaned his head on his hand which was propped up by his elbow on the obsidian colored wooden counter below him, a content look on his face as he surveyed the tables full of people in front of him. Maybe this is what he needed after a stressful day or two, just somewhere to slow down and relax a bit doing what he loved.
His eyes wandered toward the entrance door as it began to open, and soon his eyes were filled with surprise as he saw just who was on the other side. Was that Kuma? He blinked for a couple seconds to make sure that what he was seeing wasn't caused by the heat getting to him. Yup, it was Kuma- the same one who blasted the crap out of an arcade game for making fun of her. Seems like she seemed a little on the stressed side as well. Two for two, he guessed, as he began to call her over with a wide grin.
"Heya there Kuma-! Seems like the lava here ain't the only thing that's hot," Dion said in a bit of a teasing tone once the girl decided to join him over at the counter, alluding to both her looks as well as her current temper. "You seemed a bit stressed. How about we take care of that then yeah? How've you been?"

Most of the people inside didn't give her much attention aside from a few side glances and a few surprisingly polite waves, but one set of eyes seemed glued to her as the entrance door closed behind her. She narrowed her eyes for a bit trying to remember the face and slowly it came to her as she snickered a bit, remembering the scene that lead to their meeting, with a bit of a wave. She couldn't help but give a faceplam with the same hand that was raised and waving as she walked over, hearing the comment he shot towards her, shaking her head. "I'm going to assume you just called me hot. I am also going to say that was terrible.", snickering quietly. "Oh, well yeah that's true. Stressed is an understatement.", plopping herself down on one of the stools near the bar and sighing. She didn't respond further at first as she looking around at all the others gathered, surprised so many would show up to a bar in a literal volcano. "I have no idea how to answer either question. I'm not much of a drinker but I was curious about a bar in a volcano. And I've been up to mostly information hunting, but that has been hard even when I found people that had the info I wanted.", slowly turning to face him. "How about you?"

As Dion turned around for a moment to take a look at what drinks he had available that could satiate Kumas need for a bit of a stress reliever, a frown formed on his face as he heard that his little intuitive statement was all too true. Again, as mentioned before, the last time Kuma got stressed it led to him paying for repairs for some old dudes arcade. Plus, she was his friend, and he'd prefer if his friends were in happier spirits than if they were all down in the dumps about something. He liked putting a smile on peoples faces, so he eventually grabbed a drink off one of the shelves that was made for a more bubbly feeling than more of a numbing one that most alcoholic drinks had. Turning back around as Kuma began her next statement, Dion quickly filled up a glass for her, sliding it over to her while saying, "I don't wanna add to anymore stress, so you don't need to pay for that one. It's, what do the Earthlings say? On the house?" Plus, one drink overall wasn't really that important to him- if it really was that crucial then there was a problem with the bars income anyways if it relied on one drink that didn't even cost that much. He'd pay for it if need be, and this time paying for Kuma actually wouldn't leave him Zeni-less for an entire day. A nice little bright side to look at.
Leaning in while propping himself up on his elbows, chin held by his hands, he listened in on what his Saiyan friend had to say, nodding a bit. He remembered his own arrival to Earth as if it was yesterday- after working at a bar for a supple amount of time to grab enough Zeni to actually afford to do anything on Earth, Dion found it quite difficult to navigate the rest of the world initially. The strange customs, social ques, and etcetera did make it quite hard for him to try and adapt to the Earthlings' way of life. But after a while, it just kind of clicked for him. As for Kuma though, didn't look like it exactly clicked for her.
Deciding to take each thing one at a time, the bartender started with her first remark, saying as he looked around at their surroundings with an amused glint in his eye, "Yeah, quite a thing ain't it? Humans really are something else. They've got durability comparable to a piece of paper in comparison to us, yet, they've still got the guts to try and pull off a stunt like this. Honestly? I find it endearing. And perhaps a little inspirational, that these guys are willing to do whatever it takes to put something into action.."
With a small snarky grin, he finished off his statement, saying, "...even if it is as crazy as shoving a bar inside of a damn volcano." In regards to information hunting, the young bartender could very much relate to that as well- being a Saiyan, the public initially had mixed feelings about him, what with the whole kind of warmongering stereotype most would associate him with being. But eventually they came to learn that he meant no harm, and he simply wanted to sell a couple of drinks and make some people happy. As he began to wipe off another glass with a wet rag, Dion said, "Well, when it comes to getting info, I may or may not be able to help- what with being a bartender and hearing things here and there. But it all comes down to what you're looking for really. Doesn't sound like it's going awfully well, is it?"
And when asked about himself, a tired yet content smile was placed onto the male Saiyans face as he replied in an even yet still slightly exhausted tone, "Me? Oh, I'm doing okay, thanks. Kind of pushed myself to unhealthy limits through this nifty little thing called Gravity Training, and well, let's just say it's worse than any hangover I've ever had. But I wanna hear more about you Kuma- I barely get to see anyone as it is, and you even less so. What exactly are you looking for? Has Earth been treating you well overall? It's a strange little corner of the universe, yeah, but it can be enjoyable. Although, right now it doesn't sound like it has been."

Her attention was more so on Dion and specifically what he was doing than what he was interacting with, so when the drink went sliding towards her she completely missed it at first, only seeing it out of the corner of her eye and swiping at it to grab it before it went any further. Downing it more like a shot than a full drink, she gave a loud belch and wiped her mouth, giving an approving nod towards her enabling of alcohol. "This stuff costs money I assume. I ain't got any but I could use another dozen or so of those.", scrunching up her face. "Ah well. One free is a good start, so thanks." Letting out a sight she dropped her elbows on the bar and leaned her head on her hands similarly to how Dion had. "Sorry about that last time we met. Didn't think you'd end up having to pay for all that. I'm used to slightly sturdier walls I guess. And I may have gotten a bit carried away."
Her eyes traveled around the room as her head tilted to the side, then the other. "Places like this on Vegeta are usually out in the open to be found easily. A place like this would be impossible to just stumble across. Ain't exactly safe for these weak humans either. It seems mostly weird to me. I mean it's kinda cool, but not really that smart. I guess it's cool and all being determined to do stuff like this, but sometimes doing a dumb plan really hard is worse not waiting to do a smart one, or somethin' like that.", turning and nodding heavily to his comment. "Really though, this is pretty cool. Most of the Earth bars I found were a bit depressin'. This is at least interesting." Her head raised as she gave a wide stretch, almost falling off the stool as she forget what she was sitting on for a moment, grabbing at the bar and simply acting like nothing had happened. "Uh, well unless you been bar tending more places than Earth, not sure if you have the info I need. Though I don't even know all the info I need or the questions I need answers to so, ya know. I guess unless you can give me a history lesson on the last two years of the Saiyan Kingdom...." She was half joking, but at the same time she was very serious.
"Gravity training, huh? Yeah I heard about that. Not really my style. I mean I get it, but I prefer to get my hands dirty and do it the old fashion way. Well I guess the old old old fashion way. I've never done that gravity stuff but I've been to a few planet that caught me off guard when I got out of my pod. It don't feel good. Not a fun feeling trying to take out a group of whatever when it feels like your kidneys are trying to escape through your knees cause the gravity is just pulling you so hard to the ground." Her face contorted some when he asked about wanting to know more about her, knowing that was a potential can of worms. "I'm hard to see. I don't stay still for long. Even being on Earth this long just feels wrong. Usually I'm home long enough to heal up, or not sometimes, then back in another pod. The fightin' is gonna feel odd soon I imagine though. Getting back to Vegeta, I don't know what's gonna be going on now. Apparently the fleet are all but wiped out, or in deep hidin'. I guess at least Earth is quiet, but sometimes that quiet drives me crazy. Finding a surprisin' amount of members of the Kingdom here, so at least I found some potentially familiar faces. Things are just a mess and I don't know how to start cleaning it up until I get a hold of my cousin, but hard to do cause she is on some other planet and apparently some kinda Queen now.", suddenly dropping her forehead on the bar with a deep sigh.

Wow. There was quite a bit to unpack there. First off, Dion was completely unaware that Kuma was at all related to anyone of Saiyan royalty, even less aware that she'd be related to a queen of one of the numerous planets the Saiyan race has conquered. If he were to be frank, the bartender really didn't think of Kuma as the kind of royalty type- she seemed more so someone that would be seen more often on the front-lines, right in the middle of the fray, fighting for her people rather than ruling above all from off of some throne and away from the heat of actual war. Or maybe he was wrong- maybe Saiyan kings and queens were more involved with warmongering and such than he actually thought, and perhaps Kuma was someone who had the skill-set to be a great queen. But he could inquire more on that later on. Secondly, the first mentioning of the Saiyan Kingdom from Kuma made sense in tandem with the whole "royal blood" within her, Dion was curious as to how much she already knew though. It most likely wasn't that much, if she needed a whole run down on what's been going on with it after two entire years, a time-frame in which almost anything and everything could happen. Sadly, Dion probably knew just as much as she did, and was most likely not the guy to go to in this case. Although, he did have some connections here and there- he could probably find whatever specifics she'd need if she could specify. But then again, connections only got you so far. Maybe it was time to head home and play catch up for a bit?
The prospect of returning home was an interesting one for sure. On one hand, he'd get to see his family again and ensure everything was running smoothly, return to his hometowns bar and see all those familiar faces once again, etc etc- but then again he had way too much going on here on Earth to leave just yet. He'd probably head off once he decided that everythings been said and done. For the time being though? Seems like Earth isn't that bad of a place to settle down for a bit.
"Yeah, the information things gonna be a tough nut to crack," Dion replied honestly as he set down a cleaned glass and put it away, the rag going over his shoulder as he finished up. "I do know people though yknow- if you could maybe set down some specifics I could probably find a thing or two. You wouldn't believe the kinda people I run into at these places.."
Then, as for Kumas opinions on Earth, Dion really didn't disagree with her. "Earth is a bit more of a quiet planet than something like Vegeta, for sure- but sometimes a little quiet is nice. Planet Vegeta and all those other planets just are so cluttered and noisy from war, and Earth is not exactly different- but at least I know if I hear something offputting here that I probably won't need to resort to fists so soon. Well, normally, anyways."
When the poor girl let her head fall onto the counter in an action that resembled resignation, Dion frowned a bit. Jeez, this whole Earth thing and cousin confusion was really getting to her, wasn't it? Maybe she did need a couple more drinks to keep her head straight. Or, to lose her head and thus any worry for a little while anyways. Knowing that she needed a picker upper of some sort, Dion looked around in the compartments and shelves of the bar behind the counter until he found what he was looking for in a cupboard right below where he had been standing. Taking out a large black bottle, he then made his way around the counter and then into the seat next to Kuma, setting the bottle down gently next to her. It was actually a drink imported by Dion from Planet Vegeta, he always brought a bottle to every bar he went to work at. Mostly either because it's funny to see Earthlings get instantly rocked from it after one sip, and also for the moments where he really needed a dampener of some sort.
"Yeah, I think making you pay would just add to your worries. No idea how you're doing financially, so I think I'll cut you some slack here. No need to apologize or anything about the arcade or whatever, if it'll ease the load a little bit I'm all for it." Letting his chin rest in his hands once more, Dion looked sideways at Kuma, taking a moment to gently pat her on the back in a friendly and reassuring manner as he said, "Hey, seriously, it's gonna be fine, alright? It may seem like a big fat mess right now, but ya gotta roll with the punches, yknow-? Something I know for sure you know how to do, you seem like a strong, capable fighter, right? You're a Saiyan, and we aren't outdone that easily. Someone who has elite royal blood running through them should be able to handle something as small as this."
Looking straight ahead, he continued, finishing off with, "Honestly, I think it's pretty brave of you and impressive of you to have gotten this far already. I wouldn't mind if you stayed on Earth for a little while more to fix everything up. It's nice to have a reminder of home here, and I don't see many other full blooded Saiyans anyways, so it would be a bit of a shame to take leave so soon. Plus, Earth is a strangely popular attraction for some odd reason- whoever your cousin is, who knows, maybe they'll be stopping by soon?"

She simply gave him a nod in response, sighing softly and leaving a long pause hanging in the air. "Trust me, I know. People that know won't tell me and people that will tell me don't know." She watched him doing his whole bartender thing, tilting her head a bit. "Guess you really are a bartender, huh? It suits ya.", rolling and grabbing at the back of her neck. "I mean I don't know what specifics to ask. Honestly a lot of this whole mess can be cleared up if I can get a'hold of my cousin, but she is off playing space princess so hard to do. I've missed so much that there are questions I don't even know to ask yet basically." Again she nodded, reaching over and grabbing at another stool so she could sprawl out across the two. "I'm sure there is some fun to be had, but probably not easy to come by. People here just call me stupid, or barbaric, and crap like that. What's wrong with liking to fight? With how against it these people are I don't know how this planet hasn't been taken over by now. Not that it should be but the fleet likes takin' places over, and it ain't like the kindgom is innocent either." There was a lot about Vegeta she truly missed because after all it was her home, but she was glad to a degree not to be right in the middle of a constant war. Though there was a part of that she did miss as well even if she didn't like admitting it to herself.
Kuma sat back up with a heavy sigh as she noticed Dion walking around towards her and watched him sitting down, raising an eyebrow to him. "That looks familiar. It isn't what I think it is....is it?", perking up for the first time since walking in. "Yeah, I'm sure it'll be fine.", she turned giving him the best forced smile she could. "Okay I'm lyin' I don't think it's gonna be fine. But I guess no use poutin' about it constantly." His comments caught her off guard a bit, and she wasn't sure how to respond to it. She was always a low-class warrior, low breeding, low standing, and that was fine. She took pride in being sent to places no one else wanted to go and coming back with a bloody smile. She took pride in her status and never cared being anything else because it was what her friends back home her, her family was, and someone saying she was anything else gave her pause and left her speechless. "I dunno 'bout all that royal blood stuff. Nashua just took her fake crown recently from what I hear, and I dunno if that really counts, but I'll take it. I guess I'll just keep kicking whatever ass is in front of me and keep going. Ain't nothin' else to do really. I been dead once already, so what's the worse than can really happen?", she laughed, slapping at the bar.
She again shook her head, feeling like a bobble head between that and nodding it, giving him a dismissive wave. "I'm more stubborn than brave. Just ain't no reason to be scared of everything. Like I said, if I already died, what's the worst that happens I die again, so what's to be scared of. I'm not going anywhere for a while either way. There are some SK members wandering around I need to get a hold of, and even if I wanted to run off and leave I can't just fly off into space. Like you said, maybe Nashua will show up when I least expect it."

Kumas sudden shift from belief in the future to being downplayed by fate made him chuckle a bit, and he replied in an ever uplifting tone as he popped the cork to the black bottle in the middle of them, "Honestly, to me, it sounds like its gonna be quite the path for you to be following. Sure as hell gonna be rocky in nature and foggy to envision, but something tells me you're gonna have something click one of these days and it'll all just, come rushing to you. Though, again, doesn't sound like the famously skeptical people of Earth are making it any easier on you. If I'm to be frank, I am also quite curious as to how they've managed to remain untouched by either Fleet nor Saiyan Kingdom forces for this long. Makes you think that this place is like a determined middle ground or something for any and all people to relax and settle down. Dunno if there's an actual law about that that focuses on Earth specifically, but that's what it feels like sometimes. I mean, it would explain why it's a pretty quiet and sociable planet most of the time, unlike, say, again, Vegeta, whose atmosphere is quite the hostile one to anyone that isn't a Saiyan nor knows how to use their fists properly." Even though he mostly talked harshly about his home world, the bartender did hold a fond place for it in his heart. It was where he was birthed and raised after all. But the decisions the guys and gals upstairs were making weren't exactly wise for the reputation of lower on the food chain Saiyans like he and Kuma. Well, what could you do? Can't make everyone happy.
When Kuma asked about what he assumed was the bottle before them, he grinned a bit- saying in an objective tone, "I'm both pleasantly and concernedly surprised that you know what this is- yeah, it's some good old fashioned Saiyans hard liquor, imported from all the way back home. If you're wondering why I have such a thing with me, well, let's say it puts these Earthlings to sleep much quicker than just any old drink that they could ever muster up in their years of brewing. Plus, sometimes, even I need a break from life's many stresses, and it's nice to take a sip and feel what it feels like to be back home on Vegeta."
Realizing he forgot to grab them both glasses, Dion laughed embarrassingly, quickly shuffling back behind the counter to grab the two of them glasses as she companion let loose both the fact that she saw no point in really making a huge fuss about her current situation, which he respected and thought was quite mature of her to realize, and also the fact that she has- what? Died before? Dion scratched at his ears for a second and paused in his actions to make sure he had heard her right. Died before? Is she serious right now? The only other person he's ever known to have died and then returned to life with no recollection or rational reason as to why was Yakone- the person who then went on to offer him luxury after luxury to poison someone high up in the Saiyan Kingdom government. Naturally he declined- realizing how insane that was to do even if it was in good intent. But, moving back toward the main topic at hand- Dion was still quite surprised as this would mark person number two he would know that has returned from the land of the dead.
Walking slowly back toward Kuma, glasses in either hand, Dion asked in an incredulous tone, "Wait, hold on a minute, you've died before? Well, that explains your nonchalant attitude toward an untimely demise, you've been there and done that. How, well, if it isn't too much of a personal topic for you to delve into of course, everyone handles death- especially their own death- differently, so I'm not exactly sure how much you'd be willing to tell me about what happened exactly. If you don't want to though, that's fine with me too. We have only met twice after all." He set the glasses down, one in front of him, and the other in front of Kuma, gesturing for her to take a drink first as well as perhaps begin the tale of her death. Something that he never thought he'd be hearing from someone since, yknow, death is normally permanent.

Her shoulders heavily raised, but her focus was mostly on the bottle for a few moment before speaking. "I don't think there is anything keeping people from taking this planet over aside from luck, or lack of luck? The Saiyans tried taking this planet over way back before my time. I'm pretty sure the fleet probably took a few cracks at it if I had to guess. I know they have a few protectors, and sometimes the Saiyans have stepped in to help out. But if I can be kinda blunt, ", leaning in and whispering, "If the kingdom wanted to take over this planet it wouldn't be too hard.", leaning back again with a knowing look. "I just don't think they really wanna do that. Well a few might but I don't see it happenin'." Again she was staring at the bottle as she imagined grabbing and downing it all at once, but slowly drifted her eyes back to Dion, almost having to force herself to do so. "Vegeta isn't all that bad. Maybe I'm just used it how it is. Maybe it's why I'm having such a hard time with Earth." It was strange in a way for her to talk to other Saiyans that had spent more time on Earth than she had or spent time away from Vegeta in general, and it always gave her a perspective she didn't know how to internally handle. She liked her life on Vegeta, and she didn't mind being sent out on the front lines to punch faces, but every where she went it felt like the kingdom was almost vilified for things she felt were just natural parts of her life.
By this point it was probably becoming obvious how she was looking at the bottle, making it apparent that even with her younger age which she realized she hadn't shared, she was both barely above human drinking age and far too familiar with the drink in front of her. "Well when you are Saiyan you gotta have the stronger stuff than these humans can handle. Our bodies just process it faster and the metabols or whatever that word is, and all that. Need the strong stuff. Earth alcohol is pretty weak.", her eyes followed him around the bar. "Oh you don't need those. You can just hand me the bottle...just sayin'", laughing a bit to herself. Kuma gave a bit of a nod as she grabbed the glass and waited like a kid with her hand out for candy. "Yeah, I died. Then I undied. It's not that interesting when you've been there, stayed a year, then came back. It just feels like a bunch of dreams glued together. Yeah it was pretty bad when it happened. There is a reason I'm a big ball of stress as I'm pretty sure ya noticed. But It's more the being alive again part that bothers me than the being dead in the first place part. It is kinda...what's the word...traumatic?", taking the glass and downing it before setting it back down. "The fleet invaded Vegeta, killed the king, killed a bunch of us. I was facing of against some Arcosian guy when another one came up and shot me in the back. I remember being in a long line and then I was in hell for like a year. Then I woke up back on Vegeta laying in the middle of the street, big hole in my clothes, and my parents were alive which didn't make no good sense cause they were dead before that day. Died about two years ago. Been alive around a year since".

"I never said Vegeta was all that bad now, but I could see why you probably thought that, eheh-" Dion said as he chuckled a bit, embarrassed that he sounded like a prune when it came to his own birthplace. If he was to be honest with himself, home was still home- and while the home-world of the proud warrior race wasn't exactly for the faint of heart, it still did provide him a proper childhood which helped to build him into the man he was today. Perfect combative atmosphere, never had to go too far to find a fight, pretty decent food- everything a Saiyan could possibly want and need in a lifetime. But, it did get dull from time to time, as Dion's focus (or at least his past focuses, now was a different story) wasn't really on his power level or his fighting strength. It was, well, providing for his family through the only way he really knew how to, which was bartending for his local bar on a daily basis. Such a job though was only going to be prone to a sort of monotonous cycle sooner or later, so Dion decided to dip after a bit and head on over to Earth for a little bit of a change of pace. Which he most certainly got- everyday was a new adventure, filled with new people to meet and more places to go and sight-see and bartend at. As mentioned before though, returning to his roots didn't sound like a bad idea at all. Maybe he'd go pay pops and ma a visit one of these days.
Sliding over the black bottle toward Kuma, gesturing for her to take as much as she'd like, Dion continued, saying as he took a sip from his own shot glass, "Honestly, I feel ya- maybe it doesn't look like it right now, but initially getting on this planet was quite a difficult transition from Vegetas sort of life style to this more peaceful atmosphere. Not gonna lie, it is kinda dull sometimes- and some of their laws and rules are kinda, to put it plainly, dumb. But yknow, it's gonna be home for quite a bit, so, might as well get used to it a little bit, yeah-? Least I got Christmas or whatever they call that one snowy holiday to look forward to soon.."
As the young Saiyan male listened in on the story of her untimely demise, his eyes widened slightly and he had to take another sip of his drink in order to fully comprehend exactly what he had just heard. First Planet Vegeta was raided by the Fleet, and then as she's trying to defend her land Kuma gets double teamed (didn't necessarily surprise Dion, he's heard of the more slimy and underhanded tactics most Arcosians use when in battle so he expected that), realizes she's dead, gets sent to Hell for whatever reason, and then after a full year of being in the land of the damned she just up and returns in the middle of the street, with nothing but a hole in her clothes as proof of her death- as well as having her own parents return from beyond the veil even though they were supposedly dead for around two years before this invasion even happened!
Boy, was he getting quite the headache. Closing his eyes and shaking his head slightly, Dion then reopened his eyes and looked back toward Kuma, a both sympathetic and dumbfounded look on his face as he said, "Kami, you've been through quite the wringer, haven't ya-? I can see now why life's gotcha down in the dumps and spreading yourself quite thin. I mean, who wouldn't be all that after something like, well, that? I mean, I get what happened, but the part I'm still struggling with is how you managed to come back- but then again I also assume that's one of the other reasons why you're traveling so far away from home, right? To find out how you came back so miraculously? And, well, another thing I'm curious about is how you ended up in Hell- you don't strike me as the kinda gal to do anything too nasty, right? Maybe whoever was judging that day made a mistake.."
"...Sounds like you really needed this break though. Coming back from what was supposed to be permanent for most is traumatizing in more ways than one, and it sounds like the wound is still pretty fresh, so feel free to relax and lament as much as you'd like. I'm not one to judge. I'm just here to serve drinks and make sure you get home safely afterward. Got any leads so far on what could've caused such a thing, or no luck there either?"

She grabbed the bottle as it came close enough for her to reach her arm out and immediately started drinking from it, wiping her face with a quiet belch and sighing. "One of these days I gotta see how strong you are.", taking another long swig from the bottle. "I'm not just gonna punch you though. . Speakin' of punchin', I am bored on this planet. No one wants to fight. There ain't nothin' to fight. No one to fight!", unintentionally slamming the bottle on the bar. "Sometimes I just want to try taking over this place just to have something to do. Not that I would, but I need somethin' to do.", sighing and flopping on the bar with her head on her arms dramatically. "People just look at me like oooo it's the big bad Saiyan. She wants to fight so she must be all evil and mean. I'm not mean!", grabbing the bottle and trying to chug it down, but couldn't quite finish it off.
Waving him off some she sighed and looked around at everyone in the bar before looking back to Dion. "Eh, life sucks then ya die. Then apparently you get brought back to life and get drunk in a bar under a volcano. It makes no damn sense. I mean really? I get it, I fought a lot, I was in a war, dying happens. It sucks but it happens. But why did I have to come back? I was at peace with it all, but now what? What do I even do now?", slumping some she finally managed to finish off the drink, even turning the bottle upside down and shaking it with a bit of a grumble. "Well it's not the hell you are thinking. Maybe it is. You wait in this long line then you meet this big ogre guy behind a desk and he judges you. If you are really good then you go to the heaven place If you are not that good you go to hell. If you are really really bad then you get tortured and might not even get a body. I was kind of whatever I guess. I killed some people and stuff, so I guess I didn't count for the good place. So I went to the other place. Only two places to go.", holding up two fingers and shrugging. " I just want to know what I do now. There ain't no war to fight in anymore. There ain't no reason to train besides just doin' it. Ain't no reason to stay on Vegeta. I don't know what the hell I even do. I had a purpose, and I was good at it. But now, I got no goal, no purpose, no nothin'. Bein' dead was a lot easier and a lot less stressful."

Allowing himself a small chuckle or two as Kuma recounted in mocking manner the judging in which most humans took part in when the female Saiyan warrior tried to express her wanting of combat, Dion nodded in agreement toward her sentiment. While combat and increasing his power, again, was not one of his main objectives when he had first landed on Earth, the bartender could see how most Earthlings would take not too kindly to a Saiyans natural affinity and liking toward battle. It made the guy laugh a little bit more as she nearly downed the entire drink in anger- though, not being able to finish the entire thing off. Good thing Dion always brought this liquid reminder of home with him, yeah? Wanting to soothe her worries of lack of combative competition, Dion said in a reassuring tone as he leaned forward on the polished wooden counter once more, "I'm sure there are guys, and gals, out there who'll give you a good run for ya money. I mean, someone as strong as you can't possibly go unnoticed by anyone who gives a damn about fighting. I'm not exactly sure if it'll be another Saiyan though. I mean, have you seen this planet's roster in particular when it comes to races? Arcosians, Saiyans, Majins, heck- I've even seen one or two humans who are actually building quite a name for themselves when in comes to the realm of combat. You could even find a Namekian if you looked hard enough, and when I first even came into contact with one of them I wasn't even trying to find em. If it is that difficult though, maybe you'd have better luck joining a tournament of some sort-? There's a bunch of locally held ones around majority of the cities I know about."
Pondering the idea of a sparring match between the two, Dion tapped his chin for a couple moments before replying, "Actually- I wouldn't mind going a few rounds with you some time soon. Since you don't seem to be able to sense power levels, nor does it look like you've got a scouter on you, I think it'd be a pretty close match up- considering the fact that right now as I'm sensing and comparing our strengths it seems that we're pretty evenly matched. I assume your schedules pretty free, yeah? And I'm pretty sure you've already got my number after our first meeting, right? So just lemme know whenever you need a punching bag for a bit."
As for the whole, 'finding purpose after a satisfactory death' thing, Dion really wasn't sure on what to say firstly. In a way, he did understand her confusion and frustration- after working monotonously, day in and day out back home, the male Saiyan was really unsure of where he wanted his actual life to begin. Working at one single bar for the rest of his days wasn't at all living a life, it was a waste of it, and he badly wanted to find some other way of making it all worth going through. And, eventually he found his answer- deciding to travel the universe in search of something more than what was confining him behind the bar counter. Now he had a flurry of objectives to handle- from getting more involved with real world events, to smaller things such as trying to launch a small bar chain on the side to make sure he was secured financially.
One thing it did take for him though to reach such a point in which Dion had things to focus in on, was time. It wasn't something that hit him immediately, or something that he had innately felt throughout his entire journey and only just found the words and determination to bring it into being, no. It just had taken him time and more and more experiences overlapping and intertwining together for him to be able to bring it all into a complete picture.
So, attempting to try and lift the girl's spirits up in another way besides getting her drunk, Dion said, "It sounds pretty shitty right now, I get that- more than you would probably give me credit for. But you can't let it all get to you. You were given this second chance, whether you wanted it or not, that's more on you, for a reason. I don't really buy the whole idea of a higher power, but things all happen for a reason. So you getting miraculously revived was not for shits and giggles, yknow? You've just gotta give yourself time to get yourself all sorted out. It sounds like, maybe I'm wrong, that you're rushing yourself a bit. Gotta just stop and smell the roses, appreciate the fact that you are here- living, breathing, and able to enjoy some drink and company on the side, instead of just brooding over the fact that you don't have a set objective just yet. It'll come. For now? I'd say find reasons to keep living. Whether it be people, places, or things- whatever, just find something to anchor yourself to. Something that'll keep your ass moving when you feel all weak and broody. That's just my two cents on it though." Looking over at Kuma for a little bit, and then at the empty bottle in front of her, Dion asked, "You want some more? I think I still have a bottle or two left, and you don't look too unhealthily drunk yet, soo..?"

"Yeah, I'm sure there are, but everyone I ran into so far either don't wanna fight or is braggin' about being a Super Saiyan. It's hard to find a good fight that won't end up with me dead. Some crazy stuff goin' around. I just want a fight. Not tryin' to kill people, just a good fight then you go eat after.", having a good grip on the bottle as if it would try to escape if she let go of it. "I ain't all that strong. I mean I'm strong, but I know better. I know how strong some people are. I don't need no scouter to see it. You can tell. Just the way someone walks and talks. You see it." She wasn't quite drunk, but she was feeling tipsy, and it was pretty obvious in the way she was talking by this point. "Yeah I seen all kinds'a species of whatever here. Some weird stuff. People with horns, and wings, and stretchy", lowering her head and giving Dion a look. "Tournament huh? What kinda tournaments they got around here? Don't go gettin' my hopes up.", lifting up the bottle again forgetting it was empty and grumbling before finally setting it down for good and sliding it away.
She shot him a look again when he mentioned sparring, and she wasn't sure at first, but a bit of a grin crept up the more she thought on it. "That could be fun. I guess it's free. I mean who knows. I could walk out that door and the volcano starts exploding and people screaming and chaos. But right now, sitting at this bar, not too busy. I'm sure I can find time, maybe bring a friend or two some time as well and we can train." His words rang true, but her mind wasn't in a place to grasp it all the way he was trying to convey it. All she could think was the next step, and maybe the step after that, but she hoped she could find some sort of plan or purpose out of it. "Oh, there is a higher power. Maybe a few of 'em actually. I don't think anything happens for a reason, at least not a good one. The powers up there don't have their hands in the pot stirrin' around. They watch and wait and react just like we do. It's like when you get a pet, and you watch it running around, that's them.", pointing up at the ceiling. "We are like puppies to them. I got revived cousin my cousin was trying to save planet Vegeta and I just happen to have come along. Ain't no body going out of their way for me, and that's fine. I gotta do it, but I just gotta figure out the how and what."
Kuma waved a hand as if calling him over and nodding when he offered another bottle, grabbing for it before even seeing it. "I dunno about all that rushing myself, but I can't just wait for it too long. I'm twenty-two and I already been dead. I can't expect another twenty-two or another twenty-two. I can expect today, maybe tomorrow and go from there. I'm livin' and I'm fine with that, I just don't wanna sit around too much doin' nothin' else but that. Can't go too fast though. That's how you burn out. But you go too slow and you ain't no different than a turtle waitin' for another meal.", pointing at him and nodding, then motioning again for the bottle. "You got big goals? Tell me. Talk to me. I am givin' you my whole life story over here. It's your turn."

Being an experienced bartender, Dion could tell that Kuma was starting to fall under the effects of some good old fashioned Saiyan booze. I mean, who wouldn't, Saiyan or not, after chugging an entire bottle of the Planet Vegeta made hard liquor. It was more than enough to put Kuma under the influence. He could clearly tell by the slight slurs in her speech, her word choice, as well as her general atmosphere now beginning to feel more drowsy and ditsy with each moment passed. Dion wasn't necessarily worried, but was still thinking about what to do if she became too intoxicated to get home. He didn't even know where she lived for Kami's sake! Shaking off his worry for a bit, Dion quickly grabbed the bottle as the girl slid it away, saving it from almost smashing down into the floor. Sighing a bit, he tossed the bottle over into a nearby corner trash bin, saying in regards to the whole idea of entering a tournament, "Don't worry, I wouldn't lead you on Kuma. I don't wanna piss my favorite female Saiyan- and only female Saiyan, so I mean- that I know, so you know my words are coming from a good source. Yeah, there are plenty of locally held tournaments going on around most of the well known cities. A bunch of people if they're looking for some new friends or just hoping to test their mettle against a wide selection of fighters go snooping around those parts. I myself don't usually look into those, as majority of the combatants aren't really the cream of the crop if ya know what I mean, so I choose to find other ways to satiate my hunger for battle. Such as finding people like you who can-!"
"Good to hear that you're schedules free- that makes things a whole lot more flexible for myself. It's not that my own time is constricting or anything, but I'd prefer it if you at least shot me a message or something some time beforehand yknow? You'd have to give me your phone number then, but that can come later." Musing over her reactions over his idea of faith and higher ups in the universal scale, Dion nearly facepalmed in light of his idiocy. Damn it Dion, Kuma had died, did you already forget that crucial fact? Of course she'd know whether or not there'd be someone in the great beyond watching over his every move! He wanted to both berate and then laugh at his own stupidity, but restrained himself enough to listen to what Kuma had to say. Because, who knows? Maybe it'd help him in the future to know exactly who's judge, jury, and executioner. Upon hearing that there were several other beings in power in that great big beyond, Dion asked, "Wait, there're more than one? And, well, it sounds kinda degrading being put on the same level as a puppy of all things, eheheh. But yeah, I can understand that. They probably have lotsa responsibilities to tend to as well, so I can't expect them to babysit us all can I?"
When asked about his own dreams and aspirations, Dion looked over at Kuma with a slightly dumbfounded look. Pointing at himself in a comical fashion, he asked, "What, who, oh, me? My life's not nearly as interesting as yours, nor am I the biggest fan of talking about myself, so that's why I kinda held off. But if you're really that curious, don't set your expectations too high alright?
The bartender then laid his chin on his palms as his elbows propped his hands up, beginning to tell snippets of his own origin in order to not entirely bore Kuma out of her mind, saying as a contemplative look began to creep onto his face, "Well, again, as I said before, I'm nothing real special honestly. Lived an average life back on Vegeta devoid of anything too out of the ordinary, really, with the only hardship I had to truck on through being my father. He used to be a well respected warrior within the ranks of the Saiyan Kingdoms military, but something in him, broke I guess, and one day he returned from service nothing like the man he had once been. He drank himself into oblivion, becoming a good for nothing drunkard, as my mother usually says when she gets real mad at him. He's not abusive or anything like that, he just can't do anything. My mother acted as the provider, and when I eventually learned how to, I began to bar-tend at the local bar for a number of years until i decided I was bored of it all. And now I'm here."
Looking back at Kuma afterward with a bit of a small grin tugging at the corner of his mouth, he said, "I told you it wasn't anything interesting. I hope I didn't bore you too much."

In her mind, a tournament was a great idea, hell why not have one right here and right now? There were people here, she was here, she wanted to fight, so it seemed like a great idea. Drunk Kuma did not think things through very well. "Hey!", she called out, turning around to the patrons of the bar. "Who wants to fight? Let's have us a fightin' tournament!", giggling a bit and waving her arms up in the air before turning back towards the bar. She was getting drunk, but she wasn't there just yet, although her filter was breaking away which lead to yelling about fighting an entire bar and going back to her conversation moment later as if it had never happened. "You're gonna have to show me one of those tournaments. I want to see these strong Earth fighters. Or strong whatever fighters. They are hiding.", glaring at the bar for a moment with a thoughtful look. "Bet they heard I was on Earth. They are probably scared.", nodding to herself as if she actually believed any of what she was saying. Turning towards Dion she poked him in the chest a few times, "We need to train. I need to get stronger. If my stupid cousin is gonna be so strong I can't make her look all big and powerful while I'm not. That's bullshit.", almost pouting as she dropped her fist on the bar. "It's not fair. You know I used to be stronger than her? I'm even older damnit."
She started to grumble and it almost sounded as if she was still talking but it wasn't loud or coherent enough to be understood. Patting at her skirt she reached around till she found the pouch on her right hip and messed with it still staring straight ahead till she pulled out a strange looking phone that was simple a large circle shape with a large screen. She began to mess with it for a bit and laid it on the bar and pointed. "Phone number" Her face scrunched up as she tried to recall something and tilted her head like a puppy dog for a moment as she moved her entire body to face him. "Kinda. I didn't learn a lot, I just learned there are these Kai things. They watch over the area, and then there are these other Kai's and that's about all I know. I mostly just saw a lot of these strange things callin' themselves Ogres running around all over the place. Some were blue, some were red, and they were always busy. It felt like I was in a zoo sometimes. I could do whatever but there were always places I couldn't go if I tried hard enough, or how I had to not break certain things and blah blah blah. Hell sucks. Well it's boring, but it sucks. There is like hell that is actually just boring. Then there is, I dunno what to call it, super hell I guess where the real bad people go and are punished for being evil. So don't be evil.", she pointed at him. She had completely lost track of why she set out her phone and grabbed it, hopefully he had gotten the number that had lingered on the screen, as she pocketed it in the small ouch once again.
She let out a long drawn out, "Pfffffffff", noise at him and waved him off. "Ain't nothing interesting about my life. You get to talk to a ton of people, and see all these bars, like this one. Though I guess I don't really like seeing lots of people." It was suddenly that she could feel the drunk creeping over that had said in minutes ago, but her mind was playing catch up, and she started trying to sit up a bit more straight. "It's fine. Not everyone is an exciting space pirate or world champion or something.", waving him off again. "Dion, training.", poking him in the chest again. "Remember. We need to do it.", sighing a bit and rolling her neck. "I think I should get going. I drank too fast, and I need to go get food and get somewhere to sleep. Hope you don't mind. We can talk more later about all the things."
