In the aftermath of the local Martial Arts Tournament among the quiet and peaceful lands of the Sleepy East, Safe found herself left to her own devices with no real plan for her next move. Wandering aimlessly through the various streets laid out in front of her, she tiredly scanned from left to right as she passed by villagers. These people were surprisingly more accommodating than the people who lived in cities, often giving friendly smiles and polite nods as she passed by. A sort of 'I appreciate you exist' token that had become so culturally ingrained in this rural populace that it was commonplace. Yet out of all of these people, one particular Scouter had noted her fighting abilities from within the crowd of that tournament. Watching the spectacle unfold, his eyes were filled with visions of potential in a fighter that if he managed could net him a massive cut of the prize money! Most extremely strong fighters had a tendency of being naive to manipulation so... A little bit of smooth talking had to do the trick, he figured.
Turning the corner to walk down another dirt path, she heard a shout from behind her. "Excuse me!" The voice came and echoed just barely between the buildings. Taking a step and looking back at where she had come from, she watched one of the villagers that looked to be a little bit more fancily dressed running up towards her with an arm outstretched. When he reached her, her bent forward and his palms slapped against his knees as he started to catch his breath. Safe, naturally confused just hiked a brow up and looked down. Did this guy want to talk to her? She had left quite the impression at the tournament, she supposed. Though ultimately she wasn't really there to make friends in the legitimate sense, maybe to respect the other fighters and show them how much room there is to grow, but nothing more. So the fact that someone had pursued her or ran around trying to find her was almost worrisome. What exactly had encouraged the man to make such a move? The answer would be quickly revealed as having composed himself, he stood up and patted his clothing several times to shake some of the dirt out before speaking.
"Excuse me, Safe was it? I happened to be in the stands during the tournament, and your power is so impressive! I could tell you were being careful not to hurt the other fighters even! You might potentially even qualify for the Worlds Martial Arts tournament, and I know a way that you could get stronger. See, allow me to introduce myself." He said, pulling out a business card and holding it forward. "My name is Qube, and I'm a scout for our regions martial arts group. We find some of the most prospective challengers in our area and ready them up for the big challenge to bring home the prize given away at the Worlds Martial Arts Tournament! Of course, if you were to sign on with me you'd have plenty of other opportunities as well. There are regional tournaments and spars between some of the strongest fighters to help push each other further, and I think you could benefit from this greatly! So how about it?" He asked, flashing a smile now that he'd sorted out his composure.
Thinking about it, Safe looked down to the humming device strapped around her waist. "So, do you have stuff like this?" She asked, prodding the Gravity Device, having been dialed up to twenty times Earth's gravity. At first his eyes widened for a flash as he saw the number and gathered the implications, but his expression returned to normal and he gave a nod. "Yes, we will have all of that ready! We also have a dedicated facility with state of the art courses and obstacles as well as target dummies to practice your fighting in! The Sleepy East has produced multiple world champions, have you heard that we even trained the Legendary Mr. Satan?" While the reality was completely false, she recognized that name from her time in Satan City. Having only the legend to fall back on, he must've been a ridiculously powerful fighter. Cupping her chin, she gave a confident nod and believed Qube fully.
"Alright then, I'll take you up on your offer. I was actually thinking of something to do before you showed up. I don't know where this place or whatever is, so lead the way." She said, much to the mans rewarded anticipation. Positively jumping out of his boots, a wide smile formed over his face and he exclaimed. "Sure thing! Follow me. It's actually in the next village over, but that's only a fifteen or so minute walk down the country road."
And just like that, they were off.
Fifteen minutes in the future and a building which dwarfs all of the others around it, a massive dome signature of capsule tech had been set up just next to a relatively tiny village. Popped out from a pill neatly at the top of a massive hill, it loomed overhead like a massive interstellar observatory. Standing right in front of the entrance, it would be lying if the view of the setting sun and the quiet modest little village below weren't beautiful to look at. Though as the automatic doors slid open and Qube gestured inside, Safe was struck with a different kind of awe. It was a magnificent beauty, not a picturesque beauty. Fantastical in how just beyond a simple check-in station there was a massive martial artists playground. The looming equipment, the massive facility seemed to have multiple levels, but what stood out most through the glass window separating check-in from the main room was the massive singular room that had ropes and massive weights, advanced targets and most of all platforms that could be jumped around on. It certainly was state of the art technology.
And with that, the might-monkey had her training set out for her. A long night would come to pass in the never ending pursuit of power.
