Kayen let out a low sigh as she finally allowed herself to power down, she’d kept her transformation active for the whole trip to Earth and ever since just to see if there really WAS any limit to how long she could maintain it, she’d known that ‘mastering’ the form had massively decreased the drain but it seemed that it went even beyond that and might even be completely devoid of any drain on her overall strength at this point. At first she had mostly kept it up out of sheer anger, the form had been more wild and untamed like when she had first unlocked it, the power had mostly settled down even if her fury hadn’t by the time she had arrived. After dealing with Nyaku and Uria she’d realized just how long she’d been keeping it going and just decided to test it. Now though that she had finally allowed the power to disperse it was strange to be without it again, the constant rush of power enhanced her senses enough that keeping it going for so long actually made everything seem a bit more dull, but she could tell that even if it was not draining it was perhaps not strictly HEALTHY to keep the form active, her muscles ached from being ready for battle constantly. “Barb, send out a signal to all of the Kingdom scouters on Earth to give them a heads up on our location, it’ll be good to see who’s around and it’ll keep them from trying to call in to find me” It was perhaps the one small negative about the Stormbreaker’s stealth system, it did exactly as intended but that meant that none of her subordinates could simply search for her power signature to seek her out, instead they needed to call her or get lucky and spot the ship.

It had been quite a long time since Ramen had seen some of her closest friends in the Kingdom. While she only just met with Vocado a couple short weeks ago, she hadn't met with Kayen and Nashua in anything more than a brief, professional sense in what felt like months. Maybe it hadn't quite been that long, but it was enough that it was starting to wear on her. All that helped to send a surge of excitement through her when her scouter received the same, universal signal that had no doubt gone out to all of her colleagues as well: the Queen had arrived on Earth.
She didn't really take the time to prepare herself for the trip, coming straight out of a training session in her baby blue gi and taking to the sky. At her current power, she guessed she could make it to the Stormbreaker in good time, even without powering up. The thought did cross her mind, as a way of shortening the trip, but she didn't want to seem too eager. At least not yet. A lot of things could have happened between now and the last time they had spoken, after all.
She shook her head and condemned those concerns to the back of her mind, willing herself to ignore whatever doubts remained. But it was all a moot point, as when she finally came in sight of the ship, that same excitement returned and washed her worries away in an instant. She dropped out of the sky with a snap as the aura of energy around her faded. When she touched down, she lingered outside just long enough to confirm her identity with one of the guards, before she rushed in.
When she finally found the Queen, she ignored whatever guards or dignitaries she had gathered around her. Even Barb would have received little more than a passing nod. Instead, she marched right up -- and hopped off her feet to throw a hug around the (much taller) woman's shoulders. Wordless, she would probably end up hanging there mid-hug for several long seconds if Kayen let her.

Even as she gave the order to put out the ‘call’ Kayen had very few people in mind that she was strictly interested in coming to visit her particularly soon, perhaps once she had a chance to get a bit of rest and a good meal she would be in a more sociable mood but right now she was barely interested in even sticking around the command deck. Of everyone that might pop in there were only two people she could genuinely say she WANTED to see, Kabe was the first, though it was unlikely the signal would be what got him to show up and instead more likely it would be the little Saiyan looking for food. “The signal’s up and running, it should be live on all scouters using our frequencies.” Barb informed her while leaning back in her chair, returning to her other work once Kayen gave her a nod as she stood up from her seat, sticking around the command center wasn’t worth her time right now. Brab could handle things here while she… The doors to the command room opened and Kayen found herself met with a familiar feeling, she hadn’t been bothering to reach out with her senses to pick up on any stray power signatures in the area but when one so powerful and more importantly familiar approached it was impossible for her to not take notice. Kayen turned just in time to be met by a slightly airborne Ramen coming her way, it took the Queen a long moment to realize that she had not simply drifted off to sleep and with that realization her confused expression shifted to a pleased smile as she returned the hug. Kayen often kept herself busy enough to not realize just how much she missed Ramen, they had not even spent much time together on the trip to Arcose, at least beyond plans on what to do once they got there, but even that was mostly spent with others present as well. “I’ve missed you” It was a simple statement and sentiment but not something Kayen generally expressed toward many people, there were few who maintained a strong enough impact on the Pirate Queen for her to really miss them, but Ramen most certainly was one such person. Barb was not particularly offended when all she received from the Commander was a nod, she was well aware there was really only one person she was focused on and it was definitely not her, as the pair embraced Barb took it upon herself to shoot glares and nonverbal commands to the few others present in the command deck to get them out and give the pair some privacy.

It took until Ramen touched back down on the ground before she spoke. "It feels like it's been a long time," she said, taking a single step back to look Kayen over. She seemed about the same as ever, though her energy seemed a touch different. Stronger, at least: she didn't doubt that all of the Saiyans on Arcose had similarly grown. "It really starts to get boring around here when the rest of you are all out fighting Arcosians or... well, whatever it is everyone's been up to. But it looks like it went well, given you're still in one piece."
She flashed a smile upwards, though it faltered after a couple moments. "Sorry I've been so distant lately. Literally and figuratively, I mean. I've had kind of a lot on my mind--stuff I need to figure out, y'know?" she turned her hand over and glanced down into it, forming and unforming her fist in wordless thought. As it had been so often, it was power that troubled her. But it was a topic she could go over with Kayen some other day. Not in the moment of their reunion.
She forced another smile and once more batted away her worries. "Now that you're here, we have a lot of catching up to do! And there's plenty more, too. I mean, we've never really done a whole lot on Earth together, right?" her smile turned a touch teasing. "I have to make sure my Queen is well-entertained while she's here."

It HAD been a long time, sure they had been around each other a few times but nowhere near long enough to have anything vaguely like meaningful contact, it was really only by the fact that she was kept as busy as she was trying to sort things out with Earth and planning for Arcose that Kayen managed to put out of her mind just how much it bothered her. “There was unfortunately not a ton of fighting to do, Aizu was pitifully weak but he ended up having Kraktus to back him up, or at least he would have been if they didn’t immediately turn on each other. Kraktus fled pretty much immediately, so that left Nashua and I effectively uncontested in the takeover. Even if the Arcosians had an army a million strong their average isn't enough to do anything to any of us.” Kayen said with a shrug, maybe next time they would face a worthwhile enemy. A worthwhile enemy was however the least of her interests at the moment “Did you get everything figured out? I can help if you haven’t” Kayen wasn’t entirely sure if she COULD help depending on what it was that was causing problems for Ramen but she’d be damned if she wouldn't at least try. Ramen did her best to wipe away the less than pleasant shift in the situations tone and Kayen was more than willing to let that happen, they could deal with whatever was wrong later, and instead focus on the now “I’m sure you’ll find plenty of ways to entertain me.” Kayen said with a wide grin “I’ve spent a bit of time here on Earth but haven’t really taken much of it in, perhaps you could show me what it is you like so much about your homeworld?”

"Earth can be a little boring," Ramen admitted, outright. As much as she loved being home, it did sometimes lack for excitement. It tended to flow on a sort of pendulum: either nothing was happening, or everything was happening at once and it felt like everyone was at risk of imminent death. "I'm not really sure what you're going to think of its, uh, attractions. It's like -- if you're into sights and stuff, it's great. There's all kinds of natural places to go, mountains and forests and stuff. And if you're into cities, nightlife, beaches, social stuff, then there's no place better for that either."
"...but," she added. "It doesn't really have the same degree of danger as a place like Vegeta. No weird Saiba-beasts, and the air here is actually like, mostly breathable." She wrinkled her nose at the thought. No matter how high she ascended in the Saiyan Kingdom, she doubted Vegeta would ever truly feel like home. Even if the Kingdom itself did.
She lifted her shoulders in a casual shrug before turning around towards the door. With a lazy gesture for the Saiyan to follow, she started towards where the others exited, though her intent was to lead Kayen all the way out of the ship. She might have just sent the signal out, but she didn't see the sense in sitting around. If Earth was 'a little boring', then Kayen's ship was a lot boring. Most of the time, at least.
"So, what do you want to see first?" she asked over her shoulder. "Most of the time I hang out around South City, but unless you want to race motorcycles or go swimming at the beach, it might not be your kind'a town. Has a bit more crime than most places. More immoral business, whatever you wan'na call it."

“Breathable air, where’s the fun in that?” Kayen said with a smirk, she had half expected Ramen to only give a glowing recommendation about what Earth had to offer but instead she was just completely honest about it, there was every chance that Kayen might find it boring considering it lacked the same sort of ‘edge’ that she was used to, Vegeta and Raiti were rather intense planets to be on whereas Earth was, as Kayen already more or less knew, far more laid back. Truth be told Kayen was not entirely enthralled by life on Vegeta, perhaps if she weren't Queen and could more readily just be apart of the planets normal life it would be different but Vegeta did its very best to try to pretend it's ‘elite’ were above the more gritty elements. “What’s a motorcycle? I used to do some racing on Raiti, mostly it was me flying up against suped up hover cars and other shit, I gave a go at piloting some of the single pilot ones, did well with one that was pretty much just covered in chainsaws” Kayen had a feeling the races here on Earth likely involved fewer guns and explosions. “I wouldn't mind either though, racing sounds fun even if I’m not sure what a motorcycle is, and a beach would be a fun excuse to see you in a bikini”

Ramen gave Kayen a little bit of a look at that last comment, although there wasn't much of an edge to it. They had known each-other long enough now for Kayen to see past it. When she finally came to a stop outside of the ship, she took a long look around. There were plenty of places to take the Saiyan that she wouldn't have seen before, but she honestly couldn't think of many that would be that impressive to her. After all, Kayen had traveled across so many stars by now that Earth's wonders probably wouldn't be that wonderful at all.
"A motorcycle..." she paused, trying to come up with a good explanation. It wasn't like she was used to people missing something so basic. "It's like... a hovercar, but it's on the ground, and instead of being boxy with four wheels, it's kind of straight with two wheels. It's usually for one person, but you can fit two on it if one person kind of huddles behind the other."
She gave Kayen a glance up and down, before flashing a little smirk for her benefit. "I would offer to take you for a ride on mine, but I honestly don't think you would be able to sit on it without being super uncomfortable. It's small enough for average-sized Earthlings. Small enough for me, even. It'd be way too small for you."
She reached over to try to steal one of Kayen's hands, before floating up nearly two and a half feet to come up to her height. Somehow, having to fly up that high to look at her face to face made her feel even shorter than when she was just being towered over. "I could pick something. Racing and the beach are both good options -- at least if we can find you something to ride. But if you want to do something, y'know..."
She flashed a mock salute. "As my Queen wills."

Kayen’s only response to the ‘look’ Ramen gave her was a slight widening of her grin, she knew well enough that her comment hadn’t actually gotten on the redheads nerves, it was all just a bit of fun between them. When Ramen then went on to explain what a motorcycle was the whole concept managed to capture her interest, it sounded like perhaps the single least safe way to travel ever conceived, somehow MORE dangerous than most of the hovercars she’d raced on Raiti that had any and all safety features stripped away just to get a bit of extra speed or to fit in a few extra guns. The fact it came coupled with a very… INTERESTING way for a pair to ride one only served to peak her interest further, right before Ramen burst her bubble by mentioning that her own motorcycle was almost certainly far too small for them as a pair, perhaps even with the huddling. But perhaps that just meant that Kayen needed to look into investing in a motorcycle of her own, something just a bit bigger. Ramen distracted Kayen by taking her hand and floating up to eye level with her, the addition of the ‘as my Queen will’s eliciting another grin from Kayen “I don't really care much what we do, as long as it’s with you I’m sure I’ll find a way to enjoy myself. So you choose, whatever you would enjoy most”
