Kami, this was really something wasn’t? Mechs? FUCKING MECHS? What in the world had the duo stumbled onto to take on mechs? Were these guys planning to take over the world or something?
While Safe was busy fighting one mech, Okra engaged the other. The machine’s gatling gun began to whirl as it heated up. Okra dashed across the room dodging the bullets with ease. Still, these bullets were powerful, evident by the fact that they easily pierced through the room’s walls and were about the size of the saiyan’s fist. While it probably wouldn’t hurt him too much, he really wasn’t interested in getting hit by one of these things. It’d probably leave a nasty looking bruise!
The machine switched tactics, this time firing a missile. The rocket zipped across the room towards the saiyan. Time slowed as Okra deftly stepped to the side, he lightly tapped the object to change its course. The missile veered past him, striking one of the consoles. An explosion erupted, chucking debris across the room. The wall near the explosion was seared from the ultra-hot temperatures, and soot settled on the floor.
“Well that one packed a punch,” Okra grunted. He came close to the autonomous machine and slammed its chest with his fist. The robot was sent flying back into the wall, a sharp crack rang out as the machine’s frame dented in. The saiyan had punched it hard enough that it was stuck in the wall. Okra laughed as it tried to maneuver itself free, “Hahaha. It’s fucking stuck. What, need a hand Mr. Robot? I’m doing just fine Safe, I mean, get a load of this,” he pointed at the machine. What a pathetic load of junk.
“Activating rocket jets”
“Wait, what?!?” the machine burst from the wall, smoke and fire trailing behind it as it propelled itself forward with its jets. Okra was taken by surprise and unable to dodge the machine. The mech slammed into him, carrying him into the wall, and through it. The saiyan’s breath was knocked from his chest as the machine continued to propel him through rock. His head spun and his back ached as he struggled to recover from the surprise attack. The machine also decided now would be a good time to use it’s gatling gun again. The bullets slammed into the saiyan at point blank range, leaving large welts where they landed.
A boiling feeling of rage began to swell within the saiyan. He would not be humiliated like this, “ENOUGH!” he placed his palm against the machine’s chest, willing his energy to swell. With a shout, a wave of ki erupted, easily blasting through the machine’s frame and erupting from it’s back. The mech came to a stop, powering down as its core was destroyed. The machine slowly started to tip over, but Okra punched it, sending it flying back into the room. The saiyan casually strode back into the room with a nasty glare.
“I’m doing just fine,” he bit back. He really was okay, his armor and arms were blackened by the soot from the explosions, but he hadn’t sustained any real injuries. However, he certainly would be feeling the welts from the bullets in due time. The saiyan was just angry at being caught off guard by the machine. His arrogance had gotten the better of him, and let him be taken by surprise. He had nearly been made a fool of, and it angered him. He took a couple of deep breaths to
He sighed, crossed his arms, and looked towards Safe, “Where to next? Down one of these hallways, right? Which one should we take?” a thought struck him, “Oh right.” he reached under his armor, hoping the papers hadn’t been destroyed, miraculously they weren’t but they were covered in soot, “I figured you might want these. Looks like some schematics for weapons. Those mechs were on them too. Dunno if they’re really legible right now, but you might be able to clean them up if you want.” he held out the papers for her to take.

As the room finally came to a calm still and Safe watched the machine Okra was dealing with become engulfed in energy and become impaled by a focus beam. As the heat and light died down from their respective energies, Safe simply nodded in response to his statement of being fine.
Looking over towards one of the hallways, she shrugged. "I don't know. Didn't really think that far ahead honestly. I was literally just going to walk through whatever one. Seemed simply enough, no need to over complicate it." She said before her attention was pulled over. Looking towards some papers, she raised them to her face and squinted.
"Uuuh... I mean maybe it'll give us some forewarning about what's to come, but where's the fun in that." She said. Yet despite the impulse to just chuck the papers, the fact that Okra went out of his way to preserve them made her think it over twice and just lightly roll the forms up neatly to stick through her gravity belt. That would do for the moment.
"Y'know, we could split up and look for cl- go either way. Actually, no, maybe not. Up to you, whatever." She said, starting to walk towards the way closest to her which had just so happened to be the left path. Wandering through, the incinerating scorch marks started to taper off until they got into a smooth metal hallway after taking a right. It quickly led to a staircase, sharply angling downwards. It made sense that perhaps this was just their upmost communications hub to get the best reception or signal. Walking down the steps and hopping off at the base of them, she let out a hiccup. Approaching another sealed metal door, she got quiet and ducked down. She could make out some murmuring on the other side. Not that it really required being close to the door, they were talking at room volume, and while it was a strong metal it wasn't overly thick.
"Do you think they're dealt with? I heard some weird stuff, could be energy beams and stuff man."
"I don't know, I hope so. Boss told us to stay here in case they didn't, does that mean we're like, y'know, cannon fodder or something?"
"Pffft, no way. That just means we're just most trusted aids to be the backup plan if everything goes up in flames. Don't worry about it. You know what, I'm gonna go check on them. If we bring their bodies back to Doctor Darc he might be able to turn them onto our side by making them androids! Imagine if we had fighters with that kind of power on our side, we would be su-" There was a beep as his access card must've slid into the doors scanner. As a brief hiss led to the opening of the doors he finished his sentence while looking over his shoulder. "-per ahead of the game. We could maybe even take over Earth and rebuild the World Trade Fleet fully!"
Suddenly, the two he was talking to pointed forward and started to tremble, faces twisted in shock. They were also aliens dressed up in battle armor and the likes. Slowly creaking his head to face Safe, the guy blinked and cracked a nervous smile, shooting both hands into the air.
"Don't hurt me we surrender!" He shouted, before the speakers came online.
"YOU USELESS BRATS, WHY DID I EVEN KEEP YOU ONBOARD THIS PROJECT! YOU'VE BEEN MOSEYING AROUND FOR THE LAST SIX WEEKS AND HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR ALL OF THAT TIME! IF YOU SURRENDER I'M GOING TO PERSONALLY SUPERKILLIFY YOU!" Letting out bewildered whimpers and jumping, while they all huddled together and tried to consider their options Safe just blinked, eyelids comically squishing together in the quietest of squeaks.
"Y'know, I think if you go the way we came you can leave this place. Just a heads up." All three of their gazes zipped back to Safe and looked behind her towards Okra. Looking back to Safe, they started to move and just as they did the loudspeaker kicked on again.
"Defense Sys- Override detected, countdown cancelled. Defense System Phase Two activating."
Suddenly, just about as many guns as a gun enthusiast might dream of in their wildest fantasies popped out from metal compartments in the walls, ceilings and floors. All with lasers that started to scan left and right. Immediately they started to unload towards Safe and Okra. Of all things, Safe let out a roar and charged forward. Her arms started to glow a rose color as that same microwave induced heatwave mirage radiated from the energy used to block the hail of bullets. Diving over towards the three deserters that were about to be shredded into mincemeat, she let out another shout, raising her left hand up to blast one turret in the ceiling before raising another barrier. "STAY INSIDE! They'll run out of ammo, or Okra will blow them all up. I dunno which will come first." She said, staring forward blankly now that the group was safe.
Yet, one of them grinned widely from behind her, slowly fishing a knife out from the back of it's belt...
Oh no!

“I’ll just stick with you,” Okra replied as he began to follow Safe down the left hallway. They eventually came to a metal staircase. The saiyan followed Safe as she hopped down the steps and came to a smooth steel door. On the other side, a group of voices could be heard discussing the recent intrusion. Before long, the trio opened the door, and stopped in their tracks. They quickly surrendered, and came to a huddle behind the duo when the loud speaker kicked on again. "Defense Sys- Override detected, countdown cancelled. Defense System Phase Two activating."“Hmm, you think it’s another incineration ray?” numerous guns popped out from various places around the hallway, all pointing at the dynamic duo. They even had targeting lasers! “Well, I guess that answers that question huh,” he remarked as the guns started to whirl. He watched as Safe rushed ahead, creating a barrier to protect herself and the three idiots. Okra also casually stepped behind her. He wasn’t interested in finding out if these bullets caused welts too. As he stepped behind the shielding, bullets began to rapidly fire at the group, but they harmlessly deflected off the barrier. “Huh? Oh yea, I guess I should deal with them,” Okra mused. He sighed and held out a palm before noticing something out of the corner of his eye. One of the aliens was trying to be a sneaky bastard and stab Safe in the back! The saiyan quickly grabbed the alien’s wrist with a grip of steel, “Oh no you don’t,” he bent the wrist backwards till it was at its breaking point. The alien was near sobbing from fear as Okra glowered down at him, “Your actions have consequences.” “Puh-puh-plea-please don’t ki- AGHHHH OH GOD, MY WRIST,” the alien sobbed in pain as Okra broke his wrist like he would a twig. He dropped the wrist, and the alien immediately held it against his chest, whimpering. The other two gulped. “Please don’t kill us, sir”“Please let us live. We didn’t do anything wrong. W- We were forced to join or else they would kill us,” Okra seriously doubted that. “Whatever. No more funny business,” the saiyan remarked as he turned on his heel. Once more he held out his palm, “Watch this,” he grinned. A wave of blue energy shot from his palm and weaved around Safe’s barrier. The attack struck one gun, then another, and then another, and kept going snaking around the room until all the machine guns were merely a smoking pile of broken and charred machinery. Now that the guns were gone, the trio of idiots immediately ran away in the opposite direction of Okra and Safe. The one with the broken wrist obviously lagged behind, still whimpering in pain from the brutal break Okra had given him. “Well that was easy,” he muttered. Although, the effort had left him feeling slightly drained. The saiyan rushed on ahead, bounding through the metal hallways. He came to a large open mess hall. The tables had been overturned, sitting on their sides to offer protection to those sitting behind it. Around ten men were scattered throughout the room. When they spotted the duo entering, they immedialty ducked behind the tables. “Ah fuck they're here already!” “Oh shit, what happened to the mechs?”“We are soooo screwed”Okra cracked his knuckles.|

Huh?! Spinning around as some commotion went on behind her, she saw Okra grabbing one of the aliens as a knife fell to the ground. Blinking, she barely had a chance to say anything before Okra broke his wrist. Reaching a hand out but ultimately failing to vocalize her objection, she turned to watch Okra let loose on the automated defences. "Nice, wait- that was all one energy blast? That's super cool." She said, watching the three aliens run upstairs as her barrier started to settle. Following Okra as he started to move forward, quite eager to dig deeper into this place Safe was right on his heels.
"I wonder what they're protecting?!" She shouted, before she spotted the same thing Okra did. A bunch of overturned tables as panicked aliens, bandits or both freaked out about their arrival. Rubbing the back of her neck as she came to a stop, she glanced over towards Okra, and then back towards the aliens. "Y'know, these guys aren't much of a challenge. It's not really that fun." She said, letting out a sigh as a puff of air escaped from her unimpressed expression.
"They couldn't have seriously sent out their best shot at winning right away, could they have?" She said, raising a brow as a head poked over a table and looked towards her, immediately zooping back down terrified as they spotted the two.
"If you want to deal with these guys you can, no need to kill them though. I think I'm just going to keep going. This Commander Beat guy has to be kind of interesting right?" She wondered, before shrugging and turning towards the room. She sprinted forward and as panicked heads started to catch sight of her and get ready to open fire she leapt up into the air and sailed straight over to the other side of the room. Landing with a slam she body checked the small simple mess hall doors down before running further into the complex. Spinning around to give Okra a quick wave and a reassuring nod in hopes that he'd clean things up there, she continued forward.
Thankfully it would be easy for the Saiyan to trace her movement. The path was rather linear, and whenever a split formed a quick glance both ways found one sealed door pulverized and the other securely in place still. Her forward momentum, digging through rooms of automated turrets and various defences. Some of the troops would be knocked out but for the most part they were just left recovering after she burst passed them. Yet she stopped dead in her tracks as she dug deep enough to discover a massive cube shaped room, with pristine white walls and grid lines tracing in every which direction.
Stepping in, a plate flashed red and a siren went off throughout the complex.
'INTRUDER IN COMBAT SIMU- VOICE OVERRIDE DETECTED'
The door slammed shut behind Safe, who reached an arm back and with four fingers intercepted the closing jaws of the massively reinforced mechanical doors. Screeching to a stop, being unable to shut fully she turned around and shoved one hand up and one down on the respective doors, breaking the pneumatic parts and electronics responsible for the pressure. The doors just got jammed open, a little slack considering nothing was really holding them except for the jammed metal up above. That door would stay open, it'd seem.
'THIS IS COMMANDER BEAT! WHILE IT APPEARS YOU HAVE DISABLED THE DOOR INTENDED TO TRAP YOU, YOU SPIKY HAIRED PEOPLE ARE ALL PRIDEFUL APES, WELL HERE'S A CHALLENGE FOR YOU! MEET THE DESTROYINATOR! ONE OF MY THREE MASTERPIECES, BUT IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH YOU'LL FACE THE SUPER DESTROYINATOR AND THE GIGA OMEGAZOAR SUPERTRON!'
Eccentric in the naming conventions, it seemed. Yet from the ceiling above Safe a massive gate opened and with a crashing boom that shook the facility, a humongous mech dropped down. It looked to be some kind of massive building sized tank with guns littered all over it.
'Destroyinator Online, searching for targets'
'AAHAHAHAHA I HAD INTENDED FOR THIS TO DESTROY EARTH BUT I DON'T MIND A TEST RUN NOW! ENJOY DYING LOSER!'
The speakers shut off, leaving Safe and if Okra had caught up, him too in front of the giant mech that was turning to start shooting at them.

“It isn’t much fun is it,” he agreed, turning his head to face Safe, “And I dunno, they might have more to throw at us. Wouldn’t shock me. They seem to have an abundance of resources.”
Safe suddenly jumped forward, stating that she was just gonna go on ahead, Okra looked near dumbfounded, “Wait what…? Okay, guess I’ll just deal with these guys myself,” he audibly sighed. He waved back at Safe and set his sights on the aliens before him. He’d make short work of the fools.
The saiyan flew forward, too quick for the alien’s to track with their blaster guns. His shoulder slammed into the center most table, sending it flying backwards. The two aliens sitting behind it were unfortunately carried along as the table, and by extension themselves, crashed into a wall. The two aliens lay writhing on the ground, groaning in pain from the likely concussions and broken bones they had just received.
The remaining alien’s finally decided now would be a good time to shoot the bastard since he was staying still, so they started to fire willy-nilly at him. Some shots were wildly off the mark, others came hurtling right for him. The saiyan just grinned as he deftly swiped his hand and deflected a shot right back at an alien. The poor bugger yelped as it struck his gun, causing it to blow up in his face. The poor guy spun around for a moment, dazed, before dropping like a sack of rocks to the ground.
One alien’s aim was so bad, he even managed to hit one of his allies. The energy blast didn’t even come close to Okra. Instead, it whizzed its way through the air, and struck a blue alien in the gut. He wasn’t dead, but he was certainly hurt. The alien next to him gave shout.
“YOU SHOT HIM! YOU SHOT BIRCH! NICE GOING YOU TEAM KILLING FUCKTARD.”
“IT WASN’T ME, IT WAS THIS DUMB BLASTER RIFLE! IT’S MALFUNCTIONING. IT AUTO LOCKS ONTO TEAMMATES. LOOK,” he shot his rife, the blast of energy heading straight for an ally. Fortunately, the alien managed to duck down before getting hit.
“NO I DON’T WANT TO SEE, YOU DIRTY TEAM KILLER.”
In the meantime, Okra had dispatched of two more goons with simple energy blasts to the noggin. He didn’t kill em, but they may or may not be concussed and probably burnt. As the ‘team killer’ raised his head over a table to reply to his ‘ally’, Okra knocked him out with a simple blast of ki. He slumped over the table, dropping his gun. Another alien fired a shot at Okra, and the saiyan again, deflected it back at the perpetrator. His gun too, exploded, knocking him unconscious. Okra let loose a small sigh, “I better deal with the last of you quick and catch up with her.”
The saiyan zipped around the room, appearing before the remaining aliens and chopping them in the back of their necks. They all crumpled within seconds of each other. Satisfied with himself, the saiyan sent himself rocketing along the path Safe had gone. He moved at breakneck speeds in an effort to catch up with her.
He came to a stop before a large mechanical door. It had already been busted through, pried right open from the looks of things. On the other side he saw Safe inside a very white, cubed shaped room. Carefully, the saiyan stepped through the opening and came shoulder to shoulder with the saiyan hybrid, “Yo. No need to worry about our-”
He was interrupted by a loud screeching as the ceiling opened up. From the largest mech Okra had ever seen dropped. The thing was the same size of a building if not bigger! The ground shook when it landed, and Okra counted the copious amount of guns that littered the machine’s frame. In the center of the machine’s chest, was a large red circle
'Destroyinator Online, searching for targets'
'AAHAHAHAHA I HAD INTENDED FOR THIS TO DESTROY EARTH BUT I DON'T MIND A TEST RUN NOW! ENJOY DYING LOSER!'
“Well, I should really stop being surprised but I mean, this is something,” he remarked. The saiyan fired a ki blast at the machine as it turned towards them, however; before it could strike the machine, a mostly-transparent blue bubble popped into place around it, stopping the blast in its tracks, “Seriously? Guess we’ll have to get close.”
‘AAHAHAHAHA SUCKERS! WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY BRAND NEW SHIELDING TECHNOLOGY!’
As the machine finished turning towards the duo, two compartments opened from its shoulders. Two large missile launchers emerged, each sporting multiple exit points for rockets to be launched from.
‘Target locked’
Twenty small missiles were launched at Okra, and Safe if she were still here. The saiyan quickly dashed to the right, avoiding the rockets and their resulting explosions that shook the room. He quickly flung himself through the air at the mech, however; the giant machine swung its arm, nearly swatting Okra like a fly. The saiyan nimbly doged to the side, but the machine pressed its attack with the same arm. It swung again, and this time the saiyan decided to try and catch it. The force behind the machine’s swing brought him to the ground. The saiyan strained as he struggled to stop the arm from smashing him into the ground. He fell to a knee before he gave an extra burst of energy, and shoved the arm off.
Panting he glanced over at Safe, “Be careful, this thing is strong as hell.”

"Huh, no kidding. Or I mean, we could overpower it. Though I'll play along I guess." She said, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. That was until two missile batteries deployed and locked onto them, the sound of frequent target locking as each chamber triangulated on one of the two of them beeping throughout the room until the salvo was unleashed after the machine declared the lock had been established.
As the missiles closed in, Safe looked towards Okra to see that he was already gone! Huh? HUH?! She looked back, seeing the wave of missiles approaching her. Immediately dashing the other way, the missiles curved and started to follow her trail. Dashing closer to the machine, a couple of them slammed into its own shielding and sent ripples through the barrier while others skirted around the edge like a rock skipping over water from the shallow angle that it had collided with the barrier, not packed with enough force to detonate. Yet as the speed of some of the rockets reduced as it tried to rush at something that was behind a barrier, the reduced velocity allowed them to pass through since they were primarily physical objects. Reigniting their fuel and launching after her, Safe leapt as high and far as she could to the opposite side of the mech. A bunch of the missiles slammed into it, but surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) seemed to do little more than leave scorch marks over the pain. This thing was build tough.
Glancing over as Okra struggled against it, Safe was tempted to test her own strength against it as well. Yet, with a hand only partially poised to catch a fist she seemed to change her mind, instead leaping to the side as a close quarters limb came to smash her away. Jumping to the side, she fired some basic energy blasts to test if it could be damaged from within it's shielding. At that level of power, all that seemed to happen was more scorch marks appeared over the paint. None of the parts of this mechanical monstrosity were being damaged, her eyes narrowed as she considered pulling out some her more energy packed moves. Well, not just 'some', the most energy packed move she had at her disposal.
With the mechanical beast starting to prioritize close range defenses with small automatic turrets positioned all around its body and the sides of its treads, it additionally sent massive upper installed arms to try and punch or swat them into shooting distance of the larger guns. Yet before it could gain anymore acceleration or warm up any further, Safe leapt up into the sky above and fly just below the barrier that she had seen before. A voice blurted out on the loudspeaker.
'HAHAHAHAHAH! YOU THINK YOU CAN HURT THE DESTROYINATOR? AND HERE I THOUGHT YOU'D BE A CHALLENGE, NOW LOOK AT YOU RU-' It sounded like the guy almost choked on his own spit as Safe's entire body ignited in a brief burst of flame before she blinked down with absurd speed, almost like a flash of the eye as her fist and arm turned red hot and shook with incredible force. Slamming down on the top of the mech, the entire upper part caved in on itself and multiple systems exploded, including the reloaded missile batteries that had been preparing for another salvo.
Though there wasn't much time to celebrate.
'GRRR.... YOU MIGHT'VE DAMAGED MY BEAUTY, BUT YOU HAVEN'T WON YET! ACTIVATE FORM TWO!'
'Placeholder Form Activating'
In an instant, a series of sparks shaved off the top of the mech and removed all of the destroyed parts, including the bulky arms, missile batteries and some of the other mounted guns. Suddenly spouting from the tread-base was a massive assortment of rapidly spinning blades. Some more precise than others attached to longer arms, some broad that made large swooping sweeps. Striking out haphazardly, Safe immediately jumped back and let out a tch.
Firing off an energy blast experimentally, she found out the annoying way that the blades were spinning so fast it merely reflected an energy attack- of that potency at least. Sidestepping her own blast, she narrowed her eyes and glanced towards Okra, wondering he he had a plan.

Okra watched in astonishment, as Safe rocketed through the air and slammed into the mech. Multiple sections of the machine malfunctioned as its entire top half caved in on itself. Sparks of electricity jolted along the mech has its electronics briefly.
“Nice job!” he called out to her. He was serious too, that move had been pretty impressive. He supposed that he had initially underestimated the hybrid. It was hard to get a good judge of her strength considering their opponents, but her quick take down of the mech confirmed to him that she wasn’t someone to be trifled with.
Suddenly, the P.A system cut in again, telling the machine to activate form two. The machine sparked to life again. Its arms, missile launchers, and other various parts fell off, and from its base, numerous spinning blades emerged. Some attached themselves in place of where the arms had been, others snapping into place onto other parts of its body.
The saiyan let out an exasperated sigh, “Just don’t know when to give up do ya machine,” he remarked, frown tugging at his lips, “I grow weary of these games Commander Beat. Come down and face us yourself. Stop hiding behind your pathetic toys, they won’t stop us.”
He watched with arms crossed as Safe fired off a ki blast. The machine's spinning blades deflected the ball of energy, sending it flying right back at Safe. She easily dodged the blast, and it harmlessly nailed the wall, “Well, it was worth a shot,” a grin snuck onto his face, “It’s my turn now.”
The saiyan flew forward, ducking and weaving around the blades that threatened to cut him in two. As powerful as the machine was, it was still fairly slow. Coming close to its center frame, the saiyan reeled back his right arm, bright blue energy coalescing in his palm. He air-dashed to his left, narrowly avoiding a vertical slash from the machine. The ball of energy in his palm began to grow in size, highlighting his features with a blue tint, as he ducked under a horizontal slash. Ducking under under slash, the saiyan came close the mech's chest.
With a shout, the saiyan shot his arm forward, unleashing his pent up energy. A wave of crackling blue energy exploded from his palm. The wave widened to encompass the machine’s entire top half as it crashed into the machine’s chest. Okra felt a brief resistance, but it easily gave way as the top half of the machine vaporized from the sheer heat. The machine’s arms, which had been come slashing once more at Okra, halted in mid air.
His attack’s energy dissipated. Smoke wafted from the top of the machine’s frame, concealing the extent of the damages. Briefly, it twitched and its arms inched forward before once again coming to a stop. Okra let out a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from his brow.
Slowly, the smoke cleared, revealing the mechs damage. Its head, along with its neck, and a sizable portion of the upper half of its chest, were all gone. Its frame crackled with electricity, emitting small jolts along its surface.
Okra descended to the ground, and let out a yawn, “Well, that was pretty tiring. Anyways, I think it’s done for sure this time,” he rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck, “Oh yea, nice attack again. Pretty impressive stuff. To be honest, I think I underestimated you early. You’re pretty powerful aren’t you.”
“Well,” he glanced at her and pointed up at the metal gate, “Think we should go through there? I’d blow it up myself, but after this attack and the homing one from earlier, I’m feeling a little drained. Think you can handle it?”
He absolutely was feeling a little tired, the saiyan had expended a lot of energy in an inefficient manner to deal with the guns from earlier, and now this giant mech. Which, he hoped was down for the count, but he couldn’t be sure.
“You know, I’m surprised that Commander guy didn’t say anything to us after we destroyed his machine a second time."

"Yeah, go figure." Safe said, watching the spectacle that Okra had put on. Turning his way, "You're just as weak as I am, holy shit." It was a weird way to put it, certainly. Though she'd met a lot of incredibly powerful people to have justification in the wording she used.
"Looks like we both have a long way to go- that is, if you want to become one of the strongest people in the Universe." She stated with a brief wave of her hand. "You bet that I'm going to be gunning for the absolute strongest, but I think I talked about that enough before. Though there is something I want to ask now so you have some time to think about it wh-"
'Hey idiots, can you finish blabbering and go into the next room? You kinda need to die like, now, after destroying my destroyinator.' There was some mumbling too vague to really be heard afterwards, before Safe cleared her throat and continued.
"-ahem, before the interrup-"
'ARE YOU ABOUT TO CALL ME AN INTERRUPTION? I guess I am interrupting aren't I. Actually, you know what? Go for it, talk as long as you want. I'll just y'know, get things all nice and prepared so there's a two hundred percent of death to both of you within ten seconds of entering the next room. MuhuahahAHAHAHAUAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Sorry maniacal laugh, comes with the job of building massive cataclysm robots, y'know. Sorry. I'll let you two chat now.' The speaker turned off, and Safe, a little puzzled and going cross eyed just let out a long.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh... Soooooooo. Right." She turned back towards Okra, clapping both hands together. "I think I was planning on asking to see if you wanted to team up with me. I've been brewing up the idea of y'know, making a team. I wouldn't really call it a military, so maybe you wouldn't be interested. I dunno, so long as you turn a new leaf like you've been doing so far and skip out on the whole killing thing, you'd be a good fit. Head seems to be in the right place. Think on it, I don't need an answer quite yet." She said, getting the shivers as she'd just tried to recruit someone. How the times change, she let out a sigh and her shoulders sank. Had to start somewhere, though.
"But uh, yeah. Impressive attack, glad I didn't have to deal with the robotic meat grinder." She said as she turned to the far side of the room. Unlike the entrance, there was what looked like a massive garage door, far larger than any of the doors they had dealt with so far. Safe burst from the ground and rushed at it, slamming her weight into it. Despite making a meter deep indentation, the door didn't actually budge. The speakers turned on.
'You know, you just damaged seven thousand zeni worth of door. You could've just asked for me to open it nicely.' The speakers said, as the doors started to open. Yet from the dent she made that popped out on the other side, it got jammed partway up. Still with enough room for them to slip in easily though. Walking through, they were greeted with a somehow even larger room of similar design, but instead the grid tiles were red instead of white. Stepping onto one caused it to flash blue and the automated speakers turned on.
'MOVEMENT DETECTED IN... SUPER DESTROYINATOR LAIR ECKSDEE. DEPLOYING SUPER DESTROYINATOR FOR COMBAT TESTING.'
'Haha suckers. This is the end, you may have beat the Destroyinator but you won't beat the Super Destroyinator. They're not anything alike despite one just having super in front of it's name.'
And then it dropped. The thing surprisingly looked smaller than the Destroyinator. Yet almost immediately as the gate shut behind them the small tank curled up into a tight hyper packed ball of death and began spinning with lightning speed towards them, magnetically pulled to stay on the floor, walls or ceiling as it raced around the rooms in loops trying to take passes at them! Missiles blasted from between the rolling parts and if they were just shy of dodging the ball itself, the blades and spikes that kicked out would pose another thread. Not to mention when a massive fist would swing out from seemingly out of nowhere.
'You can thank my offensive shielding technology for those punches by the way, as they say... A BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE DIE PESTS MUHUHAHAHHAAHAHAAH-' Suddenly the sound of coughing and choking could be heard on the speaker, before a sputtering series of ragged breaths brought a voice back onto the speakers. 'Sorry choked on my quesadilla.'

“Weak? Last I remember I was one of the strongest saiyans in the kingdom,” he muttered under his breath, of course that had been nearly two years ago. A lot could change in that time. He listened as Safe offered him a place on some sort of ‘team’. She said he wouldn’t be able to kill if he joined, and that somewhat irked him. Killing had its place in battle, but they had already had that discussion, and it seemed there was no way they would be able to change each others mind.
Philosophy differences aside, Okra also had to consider his duty to the kingdom. He was a saiyan warrior who served his race’s best interests. He had a duty to uphold and he intended to return to the kingdom and serve it throughout the rest of his days. He just had to find Vocado to figure out the current situation.
So, he somewhat turned her down, “I’m afraid not, Safe. Philosophy differences aside, I fully intend to return to the Saiyan Kingdom after I find my cousin, Vocado. I admit, I’m a bit unaware as to what’s happened in the past two years. I’m hoping he can fill me in a little bit, and for some reason, I feel he’s here on Earth. I have a duty to uphold to my race, and I aim to ensure I can serve my nation’s best interest,” he finished.
He watched as Safe ascended and tried to punch her way through the door. She dented a fair bit, but the person whom Okra assumed was Commander Beat, just opened the door for the two. Okra levitated, trailing behind Safe. He followed her through the door’s opening and came to a room looking very similar to the one they had come from, although; this one had red tiles in place of white.
“These guys don’t have much imagination,” he remarked. Safe stepped forward, causing the room to detect the motion.
An intercom crackled to life, 'MOVEMENT DETECTED IN... SUPER DESTROYINATOR LAIR ECKSDEE. DEPLOYING SUPER DESTROYINATOR FOR COMBAT TESTING.'
“Jesus, another one?” the saiyan sighed. Another machine dropped from the ceiling, although; this one was less of a mech and more a rolling tank of death. He had blades, missiles, guns, the whole shebang. Whoever designed these had way too much time on their hands.
The intercom came to life again, and the man or alien proceeded to mock them, making a joke about how offense was the best defense and choking on a quesadilla, apparently?
The saiyan dashed to the side as a missile came flying at him. As he flew he grunted, “You’re seriously eating right now? Is this entertainment for you?”
The shield hand came flying through the air at the saiyan. It was too big to dodge, and instead he braced himself. It pushed him back through the air a fair distance and stung his arms, but he was otherwise unhurt. A trio of missiles came at him, but the saiyan stopped him with his own ki blasts. The rockets were stuck by the orbs of ki a fair distance away from him. They exploded, giving a fiery spectacle.
Okra thought of an idea. He zipped through the air, weaving around the machines various attacks. He kept a close eye on the missile launcher, waiting for it to reload. The warrior didn’t have to wait long. As the machine began to prep the firing of the missiles, he watched the loading mechanism. Right before a salvo of rockets launched, the saiyan stopped and let loose a single a single blast of ki. Unfortunately for him, his momentary stopped him from avoiding another strike from the shield hand. It swatted him out of the air like a fly, and the saiyan slammed into the ground, forming a small crater where he landed.
However, his orb of energy found its mark. As soon as the missiles launched, it struck one while it was still in the rocket tube. The resulting explosion blew apart the machine’s missile launcher. It shuddered for a moment, but otherwise was still operational. Still, smoke wafted the remains of its missile launcher. Okra had done some damage.
The saiyan pulled himself up from the crater, wiping away the blood that dripped from a cut on his lip, “At least I hurt it,” He chuckled to himself. He glanced up at the ceiling, yelling, "Why don't you come down here and fight us yourself you coward? Are you gonna keep hiding behind your pathetic machines?"

' Hey buddy, I'll take my turn if it gets to that point. You just focus on dying for me thanks. And yes, it is a perfectly fine time to eat. There could be worse times to eat, I don't want to be fighting on an empty stomach right? If it gets to that point, which it won't, because the Super Destroyinator while you appear to have done some minor damage and compromised a couple systems, you haven't destroyed it and it's biggest selling point is TURBO SPEED!' With that playing over the loudspeakers, suddenly the ball of machinery while smoking started to speed up. Flashes of sparks as damaged parts tinged against rapidly rolling metal flew across the room and created an almost golden glow to the thing as it blasted at least five times faster around the floor and ceiling. It might even be difficult to track to the naked eye- impossible for a normal person. Safe just turned and looked towards Okra and then she was gone. To Okra, the massive machine had gone all the way around the room and slammed into her in the half second that she'd spun her head. In real time, she was now being ground against the wall as she was a buffer between the magnetic pull of the machine into the walls, and the pure force being constantly applied that plowed her through the tiles. The force was so much in fact, that the tiles themselves began to split and break as they revealed underlying circuitry below. A wild laughter played over the speakers. ' THERE WE GO, FINALLY GOT ONE! STRIKE! Looks like I'm filling up just because it tastes awesome, haha losers my next trip to the fast food place will be in your honor.' And then almost be design there was a background noise that was so consistent it was hard to consciously pick up on. However as the lights went out and there was the heavy thrum of powering down electronics paired with a loud metallic thud, a moment of eyes adjusting to the new lighting of the room would be good enough to pick up on what had happened. As she was being dragged around the room, Safe had been deliberately tearing all of the wiring and circuitry, sparks kicked up and piled over the floor. Apparently, the Commander with had no words for this or the circuitry leading to the speakers in this particular room had been destroyed. Either way, the 'Super Destroyinator' was rolling still, but it had been grounded and lost the forward magnetic pull that allowed it to reach such devastating speeds. Dropping down on the ground, amidst the darkness of the room there was a growl. Safe's figure hit the floor and a fist pounded into the ground, sending a light shockwave across the room. Then her eyes opened, and unlike before they were bright fiery red slits. Her body upon closer inspection had grown massively, now seven feet tall and her muscles had grown to massive proportions. Ragged breathing added with a faint glow from her nose and mouth each time she breathed- not to mention the steam that was coming out from her ears, nose and mouth all concluded to the fact that some sort of heat based transformation had occurred. Spinning on the spot, the bright red eyes in the darkness was an ample target for the mech that was still very much functional in itself, just without the added assistance of the room it was in. Bursting towards her in a rolling flash of speed, it would be stopped quite literally dead in its tracks as an extended fist jammed into the hull of the roller mech. As the monster Safe had transformed into moved, she lifted the arm that was jammed in the machine up into the air, leaping high and bringing it fully over her head to slam into the ground with so much force that a massive shockwave went through the room, and the machine burst into a large amount of scattering parts that were almost dangerous in themselves due to their velocity. Landing with it, the ragged breathing continued- yet instead of celebrating, Safe seemed to be looking around the room. Looking to spot anything that made a move, spoke a word or gave any indication of their existence. Ironically, if that was a living thing she very well would've killed it. She seemed to have no control of herself at the moment, posing a danger to quite literally anyone, ally included. The Gray Saiyan Hybrid let out a roar into the large room, echoing through the walls before falling silent.
Though perhaps in a twist of fate, the loudspeakers turned on.
'Hey freakshow.' Spinning to look towards the source, she burst off the ground and slammed the speaker with all of her force again. Localized, a different speaker came on with the same taunt. Suddenly, as she slammed into the different speakers that would end in total silence, as an indication of her faded energy she shifted mid-air back to her normal form, falling slowly back to the ground with her eyes closed. Perhaps she was passed out, or passing out?

The machine started to speed up, focusing it’s attention solely on Safe. Okra wanted to help, but the thing was becoming so quick it was hard to track it with his eyes. His eyes widened as it zipped around the room and smashed into Safe, all in about half a second. He watched as she was slammed into the wall, hard. She was dragged across the room, and tiles along the wall were broken apart, revealing the underlying circuitry.
The lights suddenly shut off and Okra struggled to see as his vision slowly adjusted. However, he could definitely tell that the machine had slowed down. It suddenly hit him what had happened, Safe had ripped out the circuity in the walls as she was dragged across the room. It was a genius move and he was impressed.
In the darkness, he could barely make out Safe, she looked… different. She had grown taller, her eyes a blood red that glowed in the dark. She had transformed into something else. The hybrid almost looked like a monster in the dark. Judging from her rather rabid and jerky movements, she didn’t seem to be in total control of herself. Steam was even coming off her body.
He merely watched as Safe quite easily dispatched the machine. The hybrid grabbed it and slammed it into the floor, causing the machine to break apart. Okra had to quickly dodge some of the debris that came his way.
He watched as Safe seemed to be looking for another target. The saiyan smartly decided not to make his presence known, and instead waited. An intercom came to life, and he watched as the hybrid reacted to the noise and destroyed the machine. Another popped to life, and once again, she readily destroyed it. Okra was beginning to wonder if she would ever turn back to normal.
He didn’t have to wonder long. After destroying the second intercom, she seemed to transform back into her base form. She slowly started to fall from the air. Without hesitation, the saiyan dashed across the room, and easily caught the hybrid in his arms.
He looked down at her, “You alright? That was some pretty impressive stuff there.”

"Uuuuh..." Safe looked up as she fell into a pair of arms instead of the ground. She'd been used to this, almost depleting herself to lethal levels of energy loss before reverting to her normal form and hitting the ground below. It was a nice change to actually get caught for once. "... Yeah?" She said, suddenly rousing from her near passed out state after realizing she was still being held, which made her tense up suddenly as she shook out of his grip like a cat that had enough.
Flopping to the floor, she picked herself up and patted down her clothes. She looked pretty tired, even if she wasn't saying much about it. "Sorry you had to see that. It happens when I get really mad, though I uh... I might be able to find a way to have a bit more control if I get strong enough." She said as she sort of paced forward. She wasn't moving as fast as she had been prior, whatever lengths she pushed herself to meant it would take longer for her to recover. Yet she just started to wander towards the next door. Reaching it, she attempted to shove against it with no luck. Instead, trying to lift it it would easily start to lift as the electronics and such to hold it in place had been thoroughly screwed at some point in her little plot to thwart the Super Destroyinator. Tossing it up, a voice from the next room coming from another loudspeaker could be heard again.
'So it looks like you dealt with my mechs, huh? I guess this is why I can't have nice things. If it weren't for you meddling kids, my plan would've went off without a hitch! But no fret, what you've done today has merely told me that I need to create more powerful inventions to take over the Earth! MuahahaaaahhauhaHAHAHAAHHAHAHAH- that's really hard on my throat, I don't know why I do it. It's a compulsive thing, you know? Anyways I guess this is the part where I try to fight you. So with that being said...'
Peering into the room, Safe let it thud behind her with or without Okra. He could just lift it as well easily if need be. Suddenly appearing in the middle of the room, a spotlight hit a guy in a military uniform as Earthly as they come. With two feet kicked up on a dash in front of him, in his right hand was a piece of a Quesadilla while to his left was a mountain of Southern Tropics food. Looking down towards them, he released the speaker and spoke in person.
"-It's time for me to bail." Suddenly, grabbing the pile of food and sweeping his foot over to hit a lever, a glass barrier shot up to protect him before the entire area he was on balled up with metal sheeting, concealing the commander inside. With a mighty burst, it shot up through the tube as an opening formed in the ceiling to reveal a ray of light from the sky above. Bursting out as Safe jogged forward and peered as best she could, it wasn't without closing her eyes and sensing that she could detect he was sailing through the sky. Turning back towards Okra, she spoke.
"Uuuuh, do you want to go after him?" She said, tilting her head while rubbing the back of her neck. "It's been quite the training session and I'm kind of tired. I mean, I could go after him but uh... I don't know if you can sense his power level, but it's actually not as bad as you might expect. Plus, he had the appetite of a Saiyan. He might actually be pretty strong... Though if you really want to take him on we can, I'm sure it won't be the last we see of him either way." She said, shrugging her shoulders as her attention drifted downwards. She really wished she was the one with the Southern Tropics food. Her stomach rumbled and her shoulders drooped a little.
Then she yawned, blinking asymmetrically, one eye slowly and then the other after. "Want to go get something to eat?" She apparently forgot about what they were doing completely. It'd be on Okra to either remind her, or just drop it.

“No worries,” Okra replied, “I’ve seen people do a lot worse. Perhaps you’ll be able to use it soon. Control your anger and use it as a weapon… or something,” he finished lamely. Okra could tell she was tired, but nevertheless she pressed onward. The woman easily broke through to the next door revealing the infamous commander. Okra followed her through.
The commander was an earthling, dressed in military uniform. He had a whole bunch of food stacked at his command dashboard. Surprisingly, he didn’t seem to have any guards with him. The man quickly grabbed his, pulled a lever that brought down a glass barrier to stop the duo, before he was concealed by a bunch of metal and ejected from his seat.
“Well, that’s one way to make an escape,” Okra muttered. He probably could have used an energy wave to stop the cheeky bugger, but it probably would’ve killed him, and he knew Safe wouldn’t like that. He didn’t really want to make her angry, especially after that last display of power she showed.
He turned to Safe, “No I can’t sense power levels,” he listened as she continued. After her stomach rumbled, it seemed she had forgotten all about the enemy commander. Okra nearly laughed. What a one track mind. It was probably too late to track him down anyway.
“Well, I don’t have any money, but I’m pretty hungry too,” as if on queue, his stomach growled, “Uhm, so yea, food would be nice. I’ve heard Earth has excellent cuisine. It’s been something I wanted to try since I got here,” he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
It had certainly been an interesting day, one of the most interesting days he had since the attack. This certainly beat guarding a penal colony all day. Even if the opponents were generally weak, it had been full of surprises. He certainly didn’t expect to be fighting gigantic mech machines when he woke up today. He just figured he’d fly around some, train, eat, and then sleep. So this had been a welcome respite from his dull routine, and he found himself not wanting it to end just yet.
“Er,” he tilted his head, “I don’t really know where the nearest human restaurant is. We’re kinda in a desert, and honestly, I’m super lost. Soooo, why don’t you lead the way? I don’t care where, just some place with good grub.”

"YOU'VE NEVER TRIED EARTHLING FOOD?!" Safe shouted, suddenly re-energizing as she spun to face Okra fully, hands coming to hold the sides of her head. "IT'S FREAKING AWESOME! YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO GO BACK, LET'S GO!" She shouted, turning back towards the glass. She pulled her fist back and punched! With a spider web shaped crack, a singular hole was punched through indicating that this was some pretty hefty glass to not just shatter completely. Though with some additional hits, a chunk large enough shattered and spilled around their feet for them to climb through. Flying up the tunnel that led to the surface, Safe took in a deep breath of fresh air as the outside breeze hit her skin again.
"Ah, that's nice..." Turning about, she sniffed repeatedly in addition to closing her eyes. In truth, she was sensing for a high density of low power levels, indicating a town or city of some kind. "I think I smell something over this way." She said, pointing over towards the horizon which showed nothing by sight alone.
Before she could get a response she attempted to grab Okra's wrist in excitement and just ZOOM off through the air! "I still can't believe you haven't tried it! I was raised on crappy non-Earthling food like charred monster meat and stuff, really try and just enough to keep your tummy from rumbling. The first time I ate Earthling food I had a super huge meal and had to start pursuing culinary mastery to learn how to recreate it! I still have a super long way to go, but I'm off to a decent start I'd like to say. Aaaah...!" She shouted, half day dreaming as drool seeped from her mouth, before she jumped back to her senses once more and slurped it up.
"Okay I can now smell what our options are." She said, sniffing several times. The aroma was amazing, though in all likelihood her sense of natural scent wasn't truly that sharp. Perhaps it was the same sort of thing that let her sense peoples Power Levels. It sure looked like smelling though, as she sniffed and her small button nose wiggled and flared over and over.
"Okay, so our options are Earthling food from the Southern Tropics, well, like it wasn't made there and brought here, it was thought of there and made here if that makes sense. That is the food I'm most specialized with. In fact that guy must've gotten his food from over here! His Quesadilla's as those are called." She said, tapping the side of her head. "I'm really smart, so duh, of course I know these things. Our other options are..." She closed her eyes and sniffed some more.
"Pizza, a famous Earthling food. Sweets, which while yummy are like uh... Best added as a little thing and not binged on, the taste gets old pretty fast unless it's like the best of the best of that kind of thing. Uuuuhm there's super fish! Okay, not 'super' fish but like... Fish prepared in a super cool way. They pair it with like this Earthling plant thing called rice and add a bunch of different thingies into it along with a little fillet of the raw fish, usually salmon or tuna or something. Oh and also they use plants that grow in the sea! Earthlings think about everything. Oh and there's also burgers and hot dogs which are like uh... Really quantity over quality Earthling food but it's still super duper uber good!"
Zooming even faster, a town started to form at the edge of her vision. It seemed to be a decently sized village with a bunch of capsule homes and businesses, all lined up and standing pristine clean amidst the Fortuneteller's Desert. Zooming in she (if she was successful in the first place) would let go of Okra's wrist and touch down on the ground!
"Okay, we're here! Southern Tropics stuff that way!" She pointed in one direction, before speaking more. "Burgers and stuff that way!" She pointed in another direction, continuing, "Pizza that way!" That same finger shoved itself into another direction.
"And then like fish and stuff is over there, the choice is yours. It's all super awesome, and you'll try it all in time, especially once you get your first taste. But uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh..." She blinked, "I forgot what I was gonna say. So, choose choose choose!"

Okra was somewhat taken aback by Safe’s energetic transformation. She seemed to really be into earthling food. The saiyan rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, “Uhh, no I haven’t. Must be pretty good huh?” Okra had, had some exquisite meals when he was younger and still on Vegeta, but on the penal colony his food was little better than what prisoners ate. A slop of gruel. So, he’d appreciate some good food, but he somewhat doubted it’d be up the standards he’d had back on Vegeta.
Okra watched as Safe broke through the glass dividing the room. He followed her up the tunnel and into the fresh air. Man, he was happy to see the natural light and smell the fresh air again.
He cocked his head to the side when Safe somehow smelled the food, “You can smell it fr- WOAH,” he let out a surprised yelp as the hybrid grabbed his wrist and took off through the sky, dragging the surprised saiyan behind her, “Okay then.”
As he let himself be dragged along, he listened to the food options Safe listed. It seemed humans had a huge variety of food to choose from. It was pretty interesting how one planet could have such a huge mix of different cultures and options. Maybe this human food could be better than the best food from. If Safe’s excitement was anything to go by, it sounded like the best thing ever.
As they zoomed through the air, Okra could eventually start to make out a small human town. Despite the rather barren area the town seemed to be fairly prosperous. It was clean, laid out nicely, and didn’t seem to have any abandoned buildings.
Getting closer, Okra felt Safe let go of his wrist. He followed her to the ground, landing gently. He crossed his arms as Safe pointed out the direction of the food. He was amazed by her ability to smell and pick out out different foods.
The saiyan scratched his chin, thinking, “Well, hmm. I’m not sure… you know,” he thought again for a moment before coming to a decision, “This pizza sounds good. Why don’t we get some of that? What direction was it again?” he asked. His stomach let out a loud grumble, man he was ready for some food.
