"Huh? Yeah, sure, alright." Safe said, sniffing a few more times as she chose a good direction to go in. Eventually her finger settled in one particular block, pointing forward before she began to walk. She'd let out a sigh as enthusiasm began to fade again, as if riding emotional waves, "Well, that wasn't what I expected out of the day. I actually got some proper training in with those robots and whatever. So uh... I heard you mention your past a little bit, but now that we've been talking and fighting for a few hours together now, what's your story? Doesn't seem like the Saiyan's I've met so far, at least from what I could tell anyways. I don't know if you're the long winded type or not, but I'm fine with either- or neither if you don't want to share."
Is what she would say, turning another corner to reveal a Pizza Place, just one of many dotted throughout Earth. It was a local type of pizzeria, not some giant chain or anything. Having gotten accustomed to dealing with fragile Earthling doors and the like, she gently pulled it open and stepped inside, holding it open for Okra to walk into as well. There was a chime as the welcoming bell rang, and a bald headed man in front of a massive oven with a paddle looking tool of sorts glanced over. "I'll be with you in just one moment." He said, before pulling out a pizza and packaging it in a pizza box, tagging a receipt onto it. A kid, Earthling in their teen years walked from the back room and picked it up to go deliver.
Standing by the counter, he approached and asked, "Hi, what can I get you?" Safe having a solid idea from her Earthling experiences spoke up and gave her order. "I would like uhm..." She looked at the glass container with six stacked rotating pizzas on different racks one on top of the other. "Six slices of pepperoni pizza? I'll also take uh..." She started to count slowly, "Three garlic dips please."
Glancing over her shoulder towards Okra, she would slightly smile and speak up. "So, what do you want? Uuh... To try to explain this you can get a variety of stuff. Most important thing to start up is this; do you like meat, or do you not like meat?"

While the two walked towards their destination, Okra answered Safe’s question and gave his story, “I’m a saiyan noble. Okra of House Bonemoon. Son of Soka, a high-ranking official in the palace guard, and descendant of Mayze, an old saiyan general. Legend has it that he was a Super Saiyan,” he paused for a second, considering his choice of words, “I grew up a saiyan noble. Had a good education for a saiyan. I know plenty about galactic cultures, species histories, and diplomacy. Had a great relationship with my father, which is rather unusual for saiyans,” he rubbed the back of his hair sheepishly, “I was also trained how to fight. By the time I turned of age, I was already one of the strongest in the kingdom. Power level of fifteen thousand or so? I think anyways,” he didn’t mean to brag, he was just being honest, “I decided to volunteer for one of the most dangerous jobs. Like I said earlier, I was a squad lead at a penal colony. We had riots every day,” his eyes narrowed, “Saw lots of other saiyans die. So, I’m fairly used to death. Doesn't faze me at all,” he hesitated a moment before continuing, “Why do you think I’m different from most saiyans? I suppose I’m a bit more well spoken and calmer,” he shrugged.
As the saiyan finished speaking, the duo came to their destination. He followed Safe inside and up to the counter, passing a young human who was carrying a box with food in it. The saiyan let Safe order first while he looked at the menu. After Safe finished ordering, the saiyan listened to what she said to him. He scratched his cheek.
“Uhm, I think I’ll just get what you had to be honest,” he nodded at Safe.
He stepped up to the counter and gave his order, “Yea, I’ll just have what she's getting,” he pointed to Safe, “Thanks,” he nodded his head.
He stepped away and over toward Safe, “So how long do we have to wait for our food? Do we go anywhere? What happens exactly?”

"Wait for our food, what?" She said, "Wait no, I get it. You're not used to Earthling food services yet. Watch this." She said, as the grumbling store owner gave them a perplexed look before awkwardly just taking a scoop and sliding twelve total slices. They were just sort of awkwardly stacked on a couple of paper plates that he fetched from under the counter.
"That'll be twelve zeni, fourteen zeni with your dipping sauces ma'am." He said as he placed the food onto the counter. Fishing in her pockets for several moments, eventually Safe took out some Zeni and set it on the counter. Counting through them, the guy spoke. "Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your pizza." He said before getting back to work. Safe waved Okra over to one of the tables set up in the front area.
Sitting down, she would pop open some of the dip and start to plunk the pizza into it. "You don't have to do this part, I just think it tastes better this way." She said, before continuing. "Anyways, it's good that you had a good relationship with your dad. I think I had a decent one with my family, though I suppose they never really got to see me when I was at my worst." She said, her voice trailing off with a sombre tone.
"But fifteen thousand? I mean that's like ten billion times better than normal people, but this must've been a long time ago considering some of the power signatures I've felt around even just Earth. Who knows what else is out there. As for the reason I thought you might be different was just because of the strict military background. Most Saiyan's I've met- though few and far in between weren't in any strict hierarchy. They just kind of did their thing and helped the Saiyan race. Something I've noticed is a big thing, Saiyan really are true to their own kind. I personally don't see the value in that bias, then again I'm only Half Saiyan." She said as she took the first bite of her pizza. Her eyes sparkled as the awesome taste hit her, "This stuff is amazing. I didn't know Saiyan's had nobles either, but I guess it doesn't really surprise me. Without stepping on previous topics too much, I've met other Saiyan's of noble blood that feel entitled to things they haven't actually earned."

"Thanks," Okra said as Safe paid for his food. He followed her over to the table, and took a seat. Before he started digging into his food, he listened to Safe, following along to her words. Did he have a strict military background? Somewhat, but part of it was that it's just the way he was. Most saiyans weren't really apart of the military anymore though. Many operated as mercenaries for various independent groups.
Once Safe finished speaking, Okra decided to take a bite from his pizza. His eyes widened as he savored the delicious taste. It was wonderful! Better than any food he had ever had, "This is amazing! I've never has anything like it!" he happily exclaimed. He took another bite, reveling in the wonderful taste of the food. He had been missing out on this pizza for his entire life! It was so good.
He finished his first slice of pizza and replied to Safe, "Nobles, aristocrats, rich people, whatever you wanna call them. Basically I mean families with a lot of influence in the kingdom. My father married into a family with a lot of money, but we still had significant influence before that," he shrugged his shoulders, "As for a strict hierarchy... I guess it kinda depends on where you go to after singing up. In general, it definitely is stricter than it was in the past. The military is smaller than it had been in generations past, so it became more regimented and strict to increase quality of soldiers. We had also been prepping for war with the World Trade Fleet for many years, so we wanted better trained soldiers," the saiyan took another bite from his pizza, "Basically, the military is a mix of mercenaries and a well trained fighting force," the saiyan munched on another bite, savoring the test, "Also, I'm a bit more pragmatic than the rest of my species. I try not to let my own emotions get the best of me anymore. A long time ago I got very angry and the end result wasn't good."
The saiyan finished another slice of pizza and looked up at Safe, "What about you, Safe? What's your story? Why are you here on Earth? Are you looking for someone, or are you aiming to get stronger? Did you come here because you heard stronger people were here?" he finished. He took another bite of pizza. He was really loving this food!

"Right? And pizza is only one thing. There's burritos, hamburgers, hot dogs, uuuuh there's even like a special way they make raw fish super duper tasty called sushi. All I ate was like, burned meat from energy blasts ahaha. I thought that tasted good before. Imagine how blown away I was." She said, rubbing the back of her neck as the munched away.
"Yuuummyyy." She said, listening to his talk regarding the World Trade Fleet. "Well, I assume you know this by now but they've since then apparently been disbanded. I ran into a General Kraktus that told me about all that. But uh... Yeah, my story." She said, scratching her cheek lightly as she finished another bite. She seemed to be eating incredibly slowly for her standard, more like nibbling away at her food relative to what her full on eating would look like.
"Well... I'm on Earth ultimately because of the Dragon Balls, I think. I mean there's a lot to unpack with that question. The reason I want the Dragon Balls include a lot of things. Though in order for the rest to be an inevitability, the first thing I want to do is wish for immortality. Apparently that has a lot of negative connotations, but I just want to live forever so I never get old and wrinkly, and so I can get stronger forever, have forever to get my hands on them again and... Yadda yadda. I uh... I guess what I want most of all is pretty ambitious. I want to become the strongest in the universe, it's something that was always told to me when I was a child. My mother was a Saiyan Warrior, so... Makes sense, right? My father was of a kind that gives me my more unrelateable features. Still, he believed in many of the same things, being part of a special force from his home planet. I'm not saying I'm living in their image, just you desire the things you know most, that you're surrounded by. So I just came to know training, getting stronger, and competition. I love to fight, and I'd love to be the best in the Universe." She said, leaning back in her chair.
"The people I've met on Earth was really just the cherry on top, something unexpected but awesome. Still, I'm sure there will come a time when I move on. Uuuh... Yeah." Her fingers gently strummed the table. "So you wanted to reconnect, I think you mentioned earlier? With the Saiyan Kingdom?" She asked.

Okra’s eyes widened as he munched on his pizza. Immortality huh? That was… certainly something. Being the strongest was a goal he could respect, but immortality intrigued him. Personally, he never really thought about growing old or dying from illness. He didn’t think about dying much at all, it just never really crossed his mind. He figured living forever would eventually get rather boring though. At some point, all your loved ones and friends would pass on and you’d be the only one left. You could always make new friends, but then they’d just die too. It just seemed… lonely.
Finishing off another slice, the saiyan spoke up, “The dragon balls huh? Seems like they draw a lot of people to this planet, both good and bad. I can respect your drive to be the strongest in the universe, and immortality, is interesting. You think it’s a wish they can grant?” he shook his head, “Man, I dunno what I would do if I were immortal. I feel like battles might be less exciting for one. Don’t you worry about becoming lonely after all your friends and loved ones pass on?” he questioned with a serious look.
He began chewing on another slice, rubbing the back of his head with an awkward look when Safe questioned him on his plans, “Well, I’m looking for my cousin right now, Vocado. I think he’s here on Earth. Gonna see if he needs help with anything, if he does I’ll help him. If he doesn’t,“ he shrugged, “I guess I’ll try to get a spaceship to take me back to Vegeta. I’d like to find my father and see what he’s up to. I’m not even sure if my old family home is still standing after the invasion. I hope it is,” he frowned, “After that… re-enlist maybe? I dunno, I feel like it’ll be awhile yet till I make it home. We’ll see,” he finished with a sigh.

Safe tilted her head slightly as Okra mentioned battles being less fun. "Wait, why would they be less fun? Immortality just stops you from getting older right? If the Dragon Balls grant any wish, I don't see why they couldn't stop me from ever getting older." She said, nodding her head once.
"And why would I worry about that? I mean, as it stands I don't really have any living relatives. So part of the reason I want immortality in the first place is so it's an inevitability until I wish them back. If they died natural deaths, sure, though their deaths were pretty tragic and untimely." She said with a solemn undertone. "Still, if I brought them back and they didn't want to become immortal to, that's their choice. Though I would offer I guess, could always wish another year y'know?"
"Maybe I would be sad, but a lot of my surface entertainment comes from Fighting Spirit, seeing Fighters rise up and challenge each other for fun instead of for good or bad. I know I'm biting out more than I can chew, I might change if I'm around for way too long like that. Though that's something I'm willing to confront. I'm okay with that, because of how unokay I am with dying. Especially dying of age and not a death in battle!" She shouted, a little loud for the small venue but still.
"Vocado? Haven't met a Vocado. I've met a Kalabas and that's about it Saiyan wise. Though I wish you luck in finding him. I think Aurora has a spaceship, but I dunno if she can spare it... Hm. And invasion? What invasion? You mentioned the World Trade Fleet right? They're oofed, gone, blam, dismantled. Though I met their General Kraktus guy that was trying to start something new. Seems like the Saiyan Kingdoms number one enemy has had the ground fall out from below their feet. As for me, I dunno when I'll leave Earth." She said, almost on cue inhaling a couple sliced of pizza.
"Foods kinda too good to ever want to go anywhere else, everything else is probably like fifty times worse, if that." She said, nodding twice quickly.

Okra tilted his head and frowned, “I feel some of the thrill from battling comes from the adrenaline surge. Without the threat or fear of death, what reason is there to expect such a surge? To me, it’s part of what makes fighting exhilarating, but I suppose it’s different for others,” he gave a sudden yawn, “Ahhhh man, I must be getting tired. Anyways, yea I suppose you’re right regarding the dragon balls. I guess immortality should be possible,” he shrugged, taking a bite out of his pizza.
He listened to Safe as she explained her thoughts on immortality. It seemed she wasn’t as concerned with the same things Okra was. He supposed she could wish immortality for everyone dear to her, but that would be a lot of effort.
“Yeaaaaa, I guess you could do that,” he spoke, scratching his chin, “I dunno if everyone really wants to be immortal, though. Iunno, seems like it could be a lot of work gathering the dragon balls that many times anyway. I’m not gonna stop you from becoming immortal or anything. Guess I was just curious why you wanted to be.”
Okra’s eyes widened at the revelation that the World Trade Fleet was completely disbanded. He didn’t know that. He had heard that the saiyans had pretty much won the war, but he wasn’t aware that the lizards had been utterly crushed. That was news to him, good news. There was hardly any real threat left to the kingdom then. Perhaps he could stay on Earth awhile then.
“Disbanded huh?” he mused aloud, “Man, that’s great news. I guess the Saiyan Kingdom is at the top of the totem pole, so to speak. Wonder what the new leader has got planned? Conquer more or keep the peace? Should be interesting to see at least. Hope that General Kraktus guy isn’t too much of an issue.” he finished with a slight shrug.
“You haven’t met Vocado, huh? That’s alright. I don’t know any Kalabas. He wasn’t any important back when I was still in the military. Was he pretty strong?” he questioned, “I’ll have to meet him sometime. What was he like? Typical saiyan?”
“Hmmm? Oh right, yea. This pizza stuff is great!” he laughed with enthusiasm, “I’ll have to try out more Earth foods. Beats anything I’ve ever eaten back on Vegeta. Anything else you'd recommend?”

Safe thought about some of what Okra said. "I mean, I suppose it makes it more nail-biting? I... I don't think that's why I enjoy fighting. That just sounds sad, honestly." She said, quieting for a moment before continuing. "I like to fight because of what good, honorable fights can mean. Good or bad, if two people fight and acknowledge each other as Fighters, uphold integrity, fighting spirit, and honor, then friendships can be formed between any two people. Between those that wish to protect the Universe and those that want to devastate planets. They can set aside their difference and in between, not hate each other. They can always know that when one makes a move, the other will try to stop them. They'll both know that the winner gets what they want. I think that's why I like fighting, because I want to I don't know..." She rubbed the back of her neck. "Instill those values."
With that she took a bite of her pizza, effectively finishing it off after going full speed for five seconds. It all just disappeared in a sudden display.
"And I know that, that's why I said it's still their choice. If someone says no, which I'm sure some people would, then I'm fine with that. It seems like an innocent wish from where I stand for me, but I'm sure if that time ever came people would try to spin their own versions to justify stopping me. Maybe they want them, I don't know. Though I'd fight them fair and square, and if I lost the Dragon Balls would be theirs to use. That's just how it should work." She said, nodding her head.
"They shouldn't need to pry them from a corpse." She added, features darkening further. "Yes, the Saiyan Kingdom is all I have heard about, an organization that has more influence on Earth than Earth's government from what I can tell. I don't want to be a part of the moral spectrum, but someone's going to force my hand some day. Well, even now with that team we're forming. Because of some of the people involved it's being shown as something for the betterment of the universe. I consider myself more of a neutral person, but I'm going to be assumed to be a shining star, I'm really not. I just y'know... Uphold order amidst chaos. In combat; integrity, honor, pride, fighting spirit. And no, never heard of Vocado." She said.
"He was way stronger than me, so yeah, I'd say so. I don't know how you'd define a typical Saiyan. They range anywhere from arrogant to honorable, give or take a couple usual traits. Yet he seemed remorseful for the bad things he'd done when he was alive. He's a ghost, you see." She nodded.
"As for food, I recommend trying burritos. Pizza's great, but the amount of stuff packed in a burrito gives a much better burst of flavor. I don't know what else."

Okra pondered what Safe said. She certainly had an interesting philosophy to say the least. Personally, he didn’t really think fighting someone could lead to a friendship. Sparring and training together sure, but an actual fight? He doubted it. He thought it was a little idealistic, people didn’t just set aside their differences while fighting, but he didn’t voice his thoughts. He didn’t see any point in doing so.
Okra frowned when Safe spoke again of the dragon balls. He took a bite from his pizza, chewing it down before replying, “If they fought you and you lost the dragon balls, you think it’d be fair for them to have them? Would you fight them back for them? You said that’s how it should work, but what if they want to wish for something evil?” he felt he was being pedantic, but he wanted to hear what she has to say.
“You think the kingdom has a lot of influence on Earth? What makes you think that?” he asked. His eyes narrowed as he considered something she said, “You don’t want to be a part of a moral spectrum? I mean, you’re already guided by your morals whether consciously or subconsciously. You weren’t exactly a big fan of me killing people earlier. I don’t really want to get into that whole debate again, but do you consider that an evil action? Taking a life?” he scratched his chin, continuing, “I get where you’re coming from though. I don’t really concern myself with morals either. The death of strangers doesn’t bother me. Well… that’s somewhat a lie, I care about my fellow saiyans. Other races? Not so much. I’ll stand and protect my own country, but if anything were to happen to say Earth, I wouldn’t do much to help unless me or my country gets something out of it,” he stared up at the ceiling for a moment, thinking. After a minute he leveled his gaze with Safe, “So, I know I’m not a good person, I guess, but that doesn’t bother me. It’s not like I dislike earthlings or anything, it’s just... not my problem,” he sighed, “Sorry for the overly long rant, I guess."
He smiled, “Huh, a ghost you say? That’s… odd. Though if dragon balls exist then I suppose ghosts do to. I’ll have to meet him sometime."
“Hmm, a burrito? I’ll have to try it sometime, but I doubt anything can beat this pizza. It’s too damned good!"

Her eyes closed somewhat. It wasn't the same enthusiastic or energetic expression she usually wore. "Then I wasn't strong enough. That answer is trivial. Them playing along with my loser takes all proposal is their choice to begin with, but regardless if they beat me they've proven their stronger. History is written by the strong, because the strong are those that talk the loudest, hit the hardest, and influence the most people. If they wished for something evil, we'll just have to deal with the consequences and I'll have to become even stronger to challenge them in the future. I wouldn't have it any other way." She stated, before moving onto the topic of the Kingdom.
"The Saiyan's I've met, and the people I haven't met have all either referenced the Saiyan Kingdom, have been affiliated with it or have been directly in the Kingdom itself. It's simple deduction that the Kingdom has a large footprint. Even if they don't have direct control over Earth, they likely have a stronger fighting force present within the atmosphere than Earth could offer from its own people to resist if they ever wanted to try and take over the place." Her eyes narrowed further. She almost sounded mean, if not from her tone alone then perhaps by the sheer uncharacteristic vulgarity of what she said.
"Good and Evil have objective definitions, people care to get into philosophical debates, that's ridiculous. Good is contributing to the universe, Evil is detracting from the universe. When you take a life, while I would consider it evil I only care because of how pathetic of a creature it makes the one doing the killing. How am I supposed to feel any integrity or pride when people inhabiting the same worlds, the same universe feel entitled to taking lives, especially when it's doable at the flick of a wrist. People mistake my eccentricity for kindness, and while it isn't a facade in the slightest it's rather when I'm in a good mood. I'm not a 'good' person, because being being prouder and having integrity doesn't guarantee the universe becomes better. It just changes." Interlocking her fingers loosely, she peered over her hands towards Okra.
"To contextualize my perspective, look at things this way. You grade how relatable something is by how much it resembles the source of your patriotism or race. If it's not a Saiyan, you don't care. I grade how relatable something is by it's capacity to uphold sentient thought and reasonable interaction. All sentient beings are the same, because their minds are all ultimately very similar. While randomly procured cultures vary how they develop and some exceptions have impulses ingrained that others don't, all sentient life holds the same capacity for sentience. So when you take a sentient life, that's the same as if someone murdered another Saiyan. It's unfortunate, it's irritating and if uncorrected it's enraging." She then started to cool down, her palms rested on the table and she sighed.
"Rants are good, don't worry."

Okra remained silent as he listened to Safe’s response. He considered her words, but ultimately they didn’t really change his mind. Once she was finished, the saiyan quickly gobbled up the rest of his pizza. With a sigh, he stood up, rubbing the back of his neck. He figured it was about time for him to go. He had to look for Vocado yet and all.
The saiyan yawned, a feeling of tiredness gripping him, “I think I’m gonna head out. It’s been fun. Perhaps I’ll run into you again, perhaps not. We’ll see, “ he gave a little wave and turned, walking out of the building. Within a moment, he was in the air and up and away.
