Ochra's PL: 157,538
"Well well well, didn't expect to find her here of all places." He had heard reports of a ship spotted coming onto Earth, descriptions matching the Stormbreaker, Kayen's personal ship. Well, the fact she was here certainly saved Ochra a trip to Vegeta, but he certainly hadn't expected her to park her ship around here, hovering around the Lookout. Ochra had never been here before, but from what he learned, this was the resident of Earth's Kami, practically the planet's personal god.
Wouldn't surprise me if she was challenging the Kami to a sparring match.
Well, he could at least rule out that she had any hostile intentions. If she did attack the Kami, Earth's defenders would be swarming around here. If history had taught him anything, it was that it took a complete idiot to try and invade Earth. The Saiyans had tried it back in the Imperial days, and it backfired horribly. He was pretty sure Kayen wouldn't try the same thing.
Well, whatever her reasonings, it didn't matter. Ochra was here for other business. After his meeting with Yakone, Ochra figured he should at least inform her about his plans. Granted, Yakone himself wasn't much of a threat. But his potential allies were certainly something that could be a problem. Kraktus, the Stargoons, even Vocado? If they had possibly teamed up, then the Kingdom could face some genuine danger.
Now then, to get Kayen's attention. He floated over to the ship, considering just landing on it and knocking on the door. But...that seemed a little crass. Well, she should sense this. Ochra let out power flare out. Anyone with ki sense would easily be able to pick it up. That should be a good way to get her attention.

Kayen set the barbell down once again as her scouter began a disconcerting series of beeps, a recent upgrade of Barbs for her scouter that would alert the Queen when the device picked up an unfamiliar power signature of a potentially dangerous level provided Kayen was not actively wearing the scouter, the logic was of course to simply provide Barb with a means of alerting Kayen without needing to actively call her to get her attention, an unceasing alarm would more readily get her attention and was less likely to be ignored. “THe hell is it now…” Kayen muttered as she grabbed her scouter, the alert wasn’t strictly an ‘unfamiliar’ one but instead one for potential threats. People who she knew had a history of issues with her and who could feasibly try a sneak attack on her ship, even Vocado’s signature would trigger it even though they had, seemingly at least, put aside their issues. Kayen was surprised to find that the alert was not one telling her Vocado had come knocking but rather the bounty hunter, Ochra. It took her a long few moments to realize that her scouter was not playing a trick on her, the hunter was now boasting a power near to her own, though of course that did not specifically mean he had unlocked Super Saiyan, just that he was likely capable now. WIth a sigh Kayen grabbed a towel and Fateburn and exited her gym not bothering to change into armor and simply keeping her gym gear on. Last time she had seen the hunter they had ended up on… not FRIENDLY terms but at least they were no longer overtly hostile, she’d rate it technically better than whatever her current situation with Vocado was considering she had not yet actually tried to kill Ochra. One of the doors on the side of the ship nearest to Ochra slid open and from it exited the Queen “When I sent out that signal I didn’t figure you’d be one of the ones to pay me a visit. What brought you up here?” Kayen asked trying at least to not be overtly hostile for the time being, there WAS a chance Ochra was here for a decent reason, even if it was just him seeking a chance to test his strength against her it would probably be worthwhile.

It seemed Ochra's display had certainly gotten the queen's intention, just as he had predicted. Though he honestly expected a bit more of a hostile reaction to his presence. Ochra and the queen weren't exactly on friendly terms. Though they can at least be civil, which was what Kayen was being now, surprisingly enough. Seems he caught her in the middle of a workout or something, since she was dressed more for the gym rather than anything. She didn't even have her sword with her. Ochra wasn't sure whether he should be relieved she wasn't charging out for a fight, or insulted she didn't consider him a threat.
Ochra crossed his arms when she mentioned sending out a signal. So, she had announced her presence here, huh? Since Ochra didn't have a scouter, he hadn't received any signal. "I didn't get any signal," Ochra explained, "Though I wouldn't be much of a bounty hunter if I couldn't find people on my own." Besides, Kayen's ship was quite...noticable. But, that wasn't important. He lowered his arms, looking at the queen before her. "Anyway, I'm here because I've come across something that I feel you should be made aware of. There's a former saiyan soldier going around, wanting supposed revenge on you for murdering his father, at least according to him." He wouldn't really be surprised if that part was true, but he at least wanted to know that some of what Yakone said was true. The man's motivations seemed to bounce around all over the place. "Normally I wouldn't bother you with this, but he seems to be taking things a bit...too far in that regard."

Kayen raised an eyebrow, a slight but notable indication that she was at least marginally impressed with Ochra for finding her without the signal, even with the Sotmbreaker’s size he likely would have had to either get very lucky by simply happening upon it as the Lookout itself seemed to do a good job of avoiding notice or he or someone he got info from actually saw the Stormbreaker enter Earths atmosphere, if the ship had been in ‘full stealth’ mode that likely would have been harder but it certainly WAS possible considering she’d been aiming more for a speedy arrival than a secret one. “I’ve killed a lot of people, you might need to get a bit more specific” Kayen said in a clearly half joking manner, she did suppose though that the extra information provided did help to narrow things down just a bit though she really WOULD need Ochra to be a bit more specific about this supposed soldier. Was there any chance this was the same mysterious ‘Soldier’ who had gotten a hold of Kabe? “I had some run in’s with the Kingdom before my fights with Vocado, before the Fleet attacked Vegeta so Its not impossible this idiot’s father got cut down, I didn’t exactly go about slaughtering Kingdom forces regularly though, it was better to send them back beaten, more likely it MIGHT light a fire under someones ass to get stronger” Not that it ever seemingly did, the Kingdom remained pathetic up until the Fleet’s attack. “You got a name? Visual description?”

Ochra should have expected this. A part of him wished the queen was joking, but he knew this woman. Who knows how many people she's fought and killed. Really, the fact that anyone would want revenge wasn't a surprise at all. Though it did make pointing out the individual a bit more difficult, considering he never gave him his name. "Never actually said his name, which was strange, or just plain stupid, considering he wanted to recruit me in his little revenge plot." Ochra shrugged, "He wore a mask, blathered on a fair bit. Claimed he was a soldier that was killed when the Fleet attacked Vegeta, but was revived." He then remembered a little something he had said though. "He did say though that you had exiled his father, and that you killed him when he tried to return. that ring any bells?"
Granted, he didn't know if anything the man said had been true. If he was making up the whole thing, than that either meant he was a complete blowhard, if how desperately he was trying to recruit him was any indication, or he was more of a threat than Ochra would realize. "Normally I wouldn't bother with this sort of thing. He got a beef with you, you can sort it out. But it seems he's willing to destablize the entire kingdom to do it, and apparently he's gotten some help. Vocado and Kraktus."
That should be worth her attention at the very least. "Can't say if it's true or anything. I got the impression he was willing to say anything to try and get me to join him. But still, I figured I'd er on the side of caution, at least in regards to those two." He hoped it was all for nothing, but if Ochra could nip this threat in the bud before it does become a problem for the kingdom, the better.

Kayen sighed as apparently Ochra had not gotten the name of the mystery man, and could also not give a good physical description as the man apparently wore a mask, that ALSO meant that it was entirely possible that this man of mystery was just a lier claiming he was an ex-Kingdom soldier. But then Ochra DID give something that might help narrow things down a bit, she had apparently exilted his father, that was pretty specific but Kayen couldn't remember exiling anyone worth remembering, but then again presumably whoever she had exiled might have been more important to this mystery man than her. “Not… really? I dont usually do the whole ‘exile’ thing, i’d be more likely to just kill someone who pissed me off, like that one guy” Kayen snapped her fingers as she tried to recall the old fools name only to have Ochra give a bit more information that served as a distraction as it was distinctly more interesting and important. “Help from Vocado… AND Kraktus?” It sounded a bit strange, one or the other was somewhat reasonable, even if she and Vocado had patched things up she could certainly see him making a move against her down the road, especially with her having taken Arcose and giving them no discernible ‘punishment’ for the damage to Vegeta. But ALSO Kraktus? Was this supposed to be some triad working TOGETHER? Vocado was a pretty staunch enemy of the Fleet so him working WITH Kraktus felt unlikely. “I’d wager if it IS true this mystery man is working with them seperately, Kraktus was big in the Fleet and I can’t see Vocado willingly working with him. It’s certainly not impossible though that Vocado would be working on building a base to challenge me with. He and I more or less came to an understanding but it was one that made it clear we would likely face each other again some day.” “I’ll need to look into the exiling thing, unless hes just blaming me for an exile that happened from within the Kingdom at all I cant imagine my list of ‘people exiled’ is particularly long”

Ochra nodded quietly, listening to Kayen's response to the information. It would make sense that, if they were indeed working with this masked man, then they wouldn't be aware of the whole thing. I mean, what any self respecting Saiyan would work with Kraktus? I mean, ok, this masked man for example, but Ochra was questioning his sanity more and more by the minute. But Vocado? Either Vocado's completely gone nuts, or it was a lie. "If it is as you say, then odds are this 'alliance' will fall apart on its own." He gave a small chuckle. It really was a bit of a relief to hear that. The Kingdom had already been through enough as it is. "Well, I figured I'd tell you anyway. I mean, I'm sure the list of people that want to kick your ass is long enough to wrap around the planet. But our homeworld's been through enough without a few idiots dragging it into their own personal squabbles."
When she mentioned looking into the whole exile thing, Ochra shrugged. "I wouldn't concern yourself too much. The man himself isn't anything to worry about. Hell, I'm capable of beating him into the floor, and that's without having to transform. It was merely Vocado and Kraktus I was more concerned about." Indeed, whatever the man's beef with Kayen, he can sort it out himself. Just leave the Kingdom out of it."[/b]
And with that little subject out of the way, time to talk about more pleasant things. "So, I heard Nashua's sitting on the throne on Arcose. Smart move, leaving her in charge. How's she doing?"

“Assuming it even exists in the first place, it COULD just be some uppity idiot trying to pick the strongest names he knows out of his hat to throw out as his aces in the hole. Or he’s being manipulated by Kraktus, at which point he’s in for his own personal hell dealing with THAT so it’s honestly probably more cruel of me NOT to pursue it if that’s the case” Kayen said with a smirk “Your homeworld. I’m not from Vegeta, but the sentiment behind your words is right enough. I’d rather not have a fight on Vegeta’s doorstep, better for me to bring it to someone else's, if Vocado’s involved in anything though I doubt he’ll make a move that could harm Vegeta, hes an idiot but its still his home, if he can avoid it I’d wager he’d steer any fight he prompts to happen elsewhere, Earth or maybe Raiti if he thinks he can get me to hold back there” “Oh well if you can beat him I’ve got nothing to worry about” Kayen smirked once again and while the comment was a clear jab at Ochra it lacked the usual malice in her insults, instead coming off as a genuinely playful jab, perhaps even an encouragement for Ochra to take a shot of his own like he had about the list of people who might be after her. “About as well as can be expected as the new Saiyan monarch of the Arcosians, I’ve got a few private squads from Raiti aiding her so she has a sustainable defense force that will actually listen to her, with luck and from how she’s described it it seems she might be making some headway with some parts of Arcose. I can only imagine what i’d be dealing with if I’d put anyone else in charge of it” probably just a whole lot of dead Arcosians truth be told. Scallio might have been a decent secondary choice but he lacked the presence that Nashua could present as a Super Saiyan, he also needed more time to grow and figure out his path.

Ochra was quick to pick up the lack of malice in her little jab at him. He couldn't help but give a little smirk himself as he crossed his arms. "Well, nice to hear you've got faith in me," he replied, a light chuckle in his voice. Honestly, this little conversation was turning out better than he had expected it would be. Plus, he words about Kraktus and Vocado put him a little at ease. Maybe he had just been getting a little jumpy after what happened on Namek. Besides, if it did come down to that, the Kingdom was well prepared to deal with it.
Indeed, Nashua seemed to be the best choice for Arcose. When Kayen mused about what would happen under anyone else, Ochra gave a short laugh. "Oh lord, I can just imagine it. Auber would enslave them, Kalabas would probably try to make them worship him, and Cress would just kill them all." He shook his head, thinking for a moment. "Thinking on it, it really doesn't seem like there's many I would trust with a planet. Nashua really was the best call." A thought occurred to him, and then he shrugged. "I mean, there's me, but I doubt that'll ever happen. Besides, my family made it a point to advise rulers, not become them."

“You and I haven’t exactly seen eye to eye for the most part. When I was deciding on how to handle Arcose I needed relative certainty that the person in charge would not just maintain it but also follow along with my work. You and I are… doing better, but not enough at the time for me to go ‘yeah let's put him in charge of what will likely be the most volatile planetary government’ that you prefer not to rule is ideal. If you’re interested I’m sure Nashua wouldn't mind a hand on Arcose from time to time."Kayen did not imagine the Hunter was likely to want to remain planted on Arcose indefinitely but having another reasonably level headed Saiyan to help in keeping things orderly would be good, especially if it took some work off Nashua’s plate, her last update had indicated things were going decently well but it felt almost like an inevitability that something would go wrong. Aswell Kayen wanted Arcose to appear as functional and prosperous as possible for when she eventually moved out again, the better Arcose looked the more likely other planets would be to stand with her once pushed. It DID have the potential downside of also driving off would-be ‘heroes’ from “protecting” her prospective acquisitions, while it would make taking the planets easier it would ALSO make the whole thing far less fun.

Ochra tilted his head in thought. Acting as a possible advisor to Nashua did sound like a pretty good idea. After all, she was pretty level headed, and they were already on good terms. Granted, he didn't plan to make this his full time job, there was a reason why he left the to become a bounty hunter in the first place. "Sounds like a good idea. Granted, I doubt she'd need me, but that doesn't mean I can't come in and help out once and a while." Funny, Ochra more saw himself as a fighter, rather than an advisor. And yet now was finding himself slipping into the role almost naturally. Funny how things tended to work out like that.
"Well, I guess that's everything really," Ochra said, running out of things to talk about, "Seems like you've got things here under control. I wont take up anymore of your time." Honestly, this had been a surprisingly civil conversation between the two of them. Perhaps their relationship wasn't in such a shoddy state as he thought. Granted, there were still some rough edges to work out, but this was certainly a start.
He turned to move away. "Anyway, take care," he said, before moving to leave.
