Oros Village, the remains of it anyway, was eerily silent. The desolate waste that extended from the inside of the Horseshoe shaped Plataeu had been ruined by one the Guru of Namek had taken into his hearth, offered sanctuary and help to their strenuous situation. Had he known then, what he knows now – that she’d one day betray him and nearly kill all his clan – he’d have banished her from his world the moment she destroyed his home on entry. She was locked away, for now, deep within a hidden catacomb found only within the cavern directly beneath the village. Oboe had thought to let the demon just leave, but he wanted her to stand trial for her acts.
That in and of itself had become an issue. Namek had never held criminals accountable before for acts of violence against their kind, so the Guru of Namek was struggling to figure out how to hold such proceedings. In an attempt to keep his mind focused, away from the darker things, the Namekian sage had begun his own efforts to restoring the village – one brick at a time. Throughout the last few weeks, since the devastation, Oboe had spent every waking moment in the ruins of his home; His magic being used to its maximum as he manifested the bricks and masonry needed from the Dragons Wish to restore his home – better than before.
Atop the highest peak overlooking the center of the horseshoe, a marvelous temple and home had been constructed in its entirety. It had been the first building area he wanted to focus on, his desire to open the temples on his grounds to others for training was still of the utmost priority for him. As such, the brilliant Coral like substance was assembled with little to no issues whatsoever. After only a few days of work, Oboe’s Temple had been restored and was ready for new trainees. He’d heard that the Grand Elders may have assisted in some of the choosing of Namek’s next generation of warrior – but he had yet to meet them.
With the temple and house out of the way, Oboe was soon to invite all of Namek – and those whom would – to help him repair the Village to a higher and better standard. He no longer felt that they were safe, as a people, split across the planet as they were. But that was thoughts for another time. Across the horizon, the Guru could sense a change. Something was coming to him – someone. With a lack of certainty on whom it was, the Sage simply continued to task; His magic working hard as he restored a building every hour. It was diminishing his magical storage, true, but he was accomplishing his

Glocken crested a tall hill on the outskirts of the former village, looking down at the barren waste in dismay.
It had been days since his encounter with the Namekian spirit continents away, and troubled by the meeting, the Namekian mage had stepped up his traveling pace by quite a bit. There were strange happenings occurring on Namek, and Glocken wanted to be at the center of things in case another swarm of greedy offworlders came to pillage Namek's magic, destroy their homes and freely camp in their plains. Additionally, shortly after encountering Mollusc, a mess of powerful magical and ki signatures had appeared around Oros Village, clashing so mightily that Glocken had felt impacted from miles upon miles away! He had had little choice but to bunker down and hope the shockwaves stopped before the mountain he was hiding behind was reduced to gravel.
Thankfully, locating Oboe Village after the fact had been a rather simple affair: Glocken would have be ashamed to call himself a mage if he couldn't sense the pulses of powerful magic emanating from the Cargo Farmlands, thrumming like the heartbeat of Namek itself!
The young Namekian levitated off the ground, flying across the scorched land where Oboe Village once stood, staring down at the destruction with a frown on his face. Only aliens could be capable of such devastation. He thought, I just hope Guru Oboe is unhurt, he is the only member of our race that would be capable of defending us during another Hunt. Glocken just hoped that such a powerful figure would accept his wish in such a troubled time, especially from such a failure like himself.
Glocken would land a respectable distance away from the toiling Guru, alighting gently upon the lush grasses of the peak. He cleared his throat, "Good day Guru Oboe, I wonder if I may have a minute of your time?" Glocken said, his voice stiff and his tone formal.

A voice cut through his contemplation. He had felt something different approaching, though he’d of never imagined it to be yet another Namekian – one whom was searching him out specifically! Ceasing his his construction, His magical prowess given a moment to relax, the Guru of Namek would turn and regard this new arrival. He did not immediately recognize him, though from his age he could imagine that he must’ve been one of the many younglings in attendance during his graduation ceremony. There was a radiance emanating from this being – a strength so untapped it barely seemed to have found its true place in the universe.
“Hello Brother. Of course you could interrupt me – I always have time for our people”.
The Guru offered a warm and disarming smile – the same smile that he’d offered every individual he’d ever encountered – domestic and foreign. Taking the moment to stand upright, Guru would simply approach the other Namekian without hesitation. If he held a single phallacy in his life, it was that he trusted other Namekians so unequivocally that he’d see them as incapable of doing wrong to their own. It was a shallow viewpoint – but one that had so far been proven correct.
“Please, come closer - I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure prior; What may I call you, besides Brother?” There was a soft chuckle, it was clear that he was out of his element in this regard.
While he had much experience regarding interacting with others, offworlders mostly, he had very few times to interact with his own. Beyond Steno, Keytar, Bass and Chime – Oboe’s friend network included very few Namekians. He was curious as to what this one would ask of him. Maybe he was here to complain, as some in his village had. Maybe he felt that his actions with the off-worlders, his enthusiasm to work with them, had brought misery to their world. He wouldn’t be wrong if that was his thoughts.
Even Oboe felt that his recent interactions with the offworlders had – even with many good interactions – led to much of the conflict that has occurred on the world as of late. Perhaps he was here to ask for guidance, but Oboe wasn’t sure of that. What kind of Guidance could a failure of a Guru give to one that resonated such prodigal power? The entire situation was a bit…curious, but Oboe approached it as he always had. Head on.

Glockem gave his Guru a small, strained smile as the other Namekian welcomed him. He inclined his head deeply, "You honor me Guru, but I nonetheless apologize." He said, hoping that his voice didn't quaver. Oboe's powers, both ki and magical, were even more impressive in person than they had been from continents away. Viewed via his ki sense, Oboe was a pulsating mass of extremely powerful ki, a perfect storm entrapped within mortal flesh. The Namekian was surely one of the most powerful beings in the universe, and certainly among the greatest warriors his race had seen since the days of the ancient Mazkou empire.
Perhaps that was why the young Namek was so terrified
This was the culmination of everything Glocken had ever wanted, and everything he had ever feared. He had dreamed of serving his people, of learning from the best, of actually protecting his people from the ravages of offworlders for years. He frowned at the twinge of guilt that appeared, grimacing and shoving it away. Things would be different this time, they had to be.
It was then that Glocken realized that he had perhaps been studying the Guru in silence for nearly a minute, and hurriedly cleared his throat, "I apologize Lord Guru, I didn't mean to waste your time staring at you. If you agree, I wish to learn from you as much as I can, and serve our people." He produced several papers from a satchel at his side, proffering them to his leader, "I trained under Grand Elder Percus for five years, and these are his reports that he sent home with me. He can vouch for me personally if you don't agree with their authenticity."
Glocken's eyes roved past the Guru's for a moment, seemingly searching behind Oboe for a second or two before returning to stare him in the eye, "By the way, I never heard what happened to Percus. Did he step down? I've been....out of contact with him for a few months."

Oboe’s face continued to emanate warmth as he regarded the question. This Namekian wished to learn from him? That was a change of pace! Normally he was stuck dealing with off-worlders looking for spiritual enlightenment or to master Namek’s magic. This was a welcome change of pace after so many months of near nothing from his own people. He contemplated the other’s words but had to restrict a laugh from escaping his lips as he was asked about percuss;
“That old codger will outlive all of us, I assure you. No, he’s been reassigned to Grand Elder Village with the other Great Elders while our world rebuilds from this recent cataclysm. There’s been much damage done to our home – I felt it necessary to pull the heads of each temple to refocus their attention to our world’s needs. The students of Namek will be waiting until that’s done”.
It left Oboe no joy to have to restrict lessons to the hatchlings, postponing the most important part of their growing lives did not come easy. Yet with Kitiana’s destruction of Oros Village it was hard not to justify the sudden need for industrial build up. Still, he hadn’t realized such actions had impacted others in the midst of their learning. So – now he had a choice. Should he accept this Namekian as a student? No…not yet. While he was eager to teach the lessons of the school of Gigun (Righteous Force), he had been played the fool before by other Namekians.
“Though, if Percus was the one who trained you – that does indicate you must have some level of skill. Yet, as you can see from the area around you – I’m not quite prepared to take on any new students…Im sorry, but there’s so much to do with the Village…”
Oboe did indeed feel bad. This young one had come all the way here for guidance and teaching and…here he was unable to offer it. Unless…
“However…The faster we can rebuild the City the faster I can train you. If Percus sent you, then I’d love to follow through with the rest of your training. But! Of course! First things first right?”
Maybe Oboe was testing the young man; This wasn’t a normal situation – yet it was clear he was focused on the current task at hand as opposed to entertaining the idea of returning to normal as if nothing had happened.

Glocken sighed in relief, “That is good. I was afraid some treacherous off-worlders killed him in cold blood, or perhaps murdered him for information about the dragon balls.” He explained, his eyes closing for a moment as he processed the information. Maybe….if Guru Oboe refused him like he ought to do, then maybe he could seek out Percus. There was no reason for the old master to take back a failure such as him, but it was at least another option! And, honestly, at this point, it was all Glocken had.
Even though he was expecting a rejection, Glocken still felt his heart sink as the Guru kindly informed him that he was not taking students due to the state of Oros village. Glocken stared down at his booted feat, struggling to keep his composure. “I…understand Lord Guru, I apologize for taking your time, I didn’t mean to disturb you. You obviously have a lot to do after that cowardly alien attacked you… I will go.” The Namekian said, obviously fighting to keep his despair out of his voice. He turned, gathering his energy to depart from the ruins of Oros village. The former Grand Elder Percus was his last hope for purpose it seemed, his last chance for atonement.
That was when Oboe made his offer, asking if Glocken would help him rebuild Oros in order to allow him to be trained. Glocken’s ki immediately died, and he turned to his Guru in disbelief, “You…you mean it? Of course I will assist Lord Guru! Any way I can!” He agreed quickly, kneeling before the other Namekian. Sure, it was another round of rebuilding, but at least he would maybe be of use to his Guru in some small way. Maybe even gain some of his wisdom!

He could understand, even with the words used, the others disdain for those whom originated from other worlds. Though it had long since been Guru’s stance that all lifeforms, even those who had done them wrong, should be forgiven and be allowed to live among his people – recent events had begun to sour that wellspring of kindness for the worse. Whether or not it was a side-effect of his recent tuffulization or not, The Guru of Namek was becoming increasingly paranoid and untrusting of aliens, so much so that when this young Namekian uttered such horrid commentary, he did not attempt to correct him.
No, instead his warm grandfatherly smile continued to radiate outward from him. This was no act, he was genuinely happy that one of his own had finally taken it upon themselves to wish to extend their learning. It was a breath of fresh air from those he’d interacted with over the last six months. Yet, he had to wonder, was this young Namekian truly ready? Would he truly be the one to inherit his will and teach the next generation of Namekians the ways of their people and the ways of magical combat? Curious. Ever so Curious.
“Then Rise, Brother. You needn’t bow to me – we’re all family for the most part. Such ceremony is lost upon me anyway…I prefer to be treated as an equal by those who stand with me.” He smiled again, its warmth strange.
“For now, let us walk among our people so that you can get an idea for the scope of our rebuild. We aren’t simply bringing the village back to the way it was – but instead we’re growing it. If my last encounter taught me anything its that we as a people are far too spread apart over such wide distances. Its hard to protect one another. So…”
Oboe realized, with a sudden understanding, that he was getting ahead of himself. While he was indeed excited to partake in the rebuild and bring forth a new era of Namek – he too wasn’t quite sure that his brothers of the elder years would agree with his move. His desire was to bring all of the Namekians on world to a single continent – build upon that one area as the Earthlings had their world and from there expand further outward. While it would make the farming on their world a bit more difficult with the sudden loss of fields, he was confident the safety given would far outweigh the badside.
“Tell me, Brother; What is it that your clan has named you? I would know it so I can regard you as my student after all..” It was here, that Oboe made it very clear that he was going to take Glocken on – soon as the village was repaired.
