Dashing through the dense forests at the foot of Mt. Paozu, the chase was on! Small explosions rippled through the forest as energy blasts desperately tried to catch the fleeing forest creature. Right on its tail was Safe, intending on the modest neutralization of future nummies! While overkill and firing a giant fast blast would get the job done, she'd learned recently that it was super duper important to keep the meat tender and juicy to bring out these things called flavors! Eating for both survival AND yumminess was the best! Charging forward, she weaved between trees and started running parallel to the deer like creature vaulting over bushes several trees over to her right. Turning to face it, almost immediately she was met with a WHAP as she went straight into a tree. Her arms flung forward as her center mass came to a dead stop and she let out a resounding OOF as the animal got away.
Rubbing her chin thoughtfully, she let that animal get away for now. She needed to find something with yummy potential so she could cook it up with those super cool techniques like simply not burning it into a chewy char. It was a lot harder than she was expecting, so she decided to try a different approach. If the forest animals were too annoying to catch with times twenty gravity and trying to awkwardly hold back to not vaporize them, then the fish would have to suffer under her tyranny! Running through the trees until she heard running water, she'd redirect herself and head towards the closest river. That was it! Looking through the trees as they broke apart into a clearing just next to the running water, she watched a white water rapid tear through the forest surrounding Mt. Paozu. She admittedly wondered just how to go about getting a fish under such circumstances. She couldn't even frikken see the fishes so how was she supposed to grab them! She could blast the water with a bunch of energy to fry them to the surface, but that would ruin the flavor she could savour aaaaaaaaaaaaah! She grabbed the sides of her head and cursed the Kai's of Otherworld for inflicting her current state of suffering. A peculiar compromise needed to be reached.
Hopping over with anticipatory little jumps, Safe levelled herself with the rapids. Letting out a hm, she looked around the environment. Spotting a conveniently seated large rock jutting out of the ground, a smile formed over her features and she ran over to grab it. With a brief growl it dislodged and cracked at the base, splitting right from the ground with a big crack that could be heard from quite a distance. Running back over to the rapids, she slammed it down right in the middle! Though that started to cause disaster as water started to rush around it and flood over the ground, creating two different rapids that were soaking the grassy ground at either side. Though in that moment she saw something! A flippy flapping as a big flopper started to flop all around the grassy ground. That thing was massive! It was like it like Earth's fish were made for Saiyans. Picking up the rock and chucking it off into who knows where, she grabbed the fish by the tail and enthusiastically WHACKED it against the ground to clock out fishy forever more. Now she just had to prepare it. Which is what got her to the present moment.
Sitting next to a resumed rapids, with a hand cupping her chin, staring at a fish that nearly doubled her in her size. Though it was dwarfed by her monstrous appetite. How to prepare it in a yummy way...

Ochra's PL: 157,358 It had been a quiet day. It had been a nice, peaceful day. A day that was suddenly ruined by the sound of numerous explosions erupting from the forest. How could anyone NOT notice them? Whoever was throwing the blasts around without any sort of abandon, as far as Ochra knew as he flew over the forest, trying to pinpoint the source of the racket. Strange, it didn't seem like there was a major fight going on. Looking around, he managed to pick up a single power level. Only one? So...why were they throwing around attacks like that? Training? Seemed like a really strange method of training, if Ochra said so himself. He moved in closer, focusing on the power, before he finally spotted them, standing by the river. She clearly wasn't human, judging by her grey skin. Actually, he wasn't quite sure what she was. A curious one indeed. Noting the massive fish laying on the ground beside her, he finally understood what was going on. The woman had been hunting. But, why would you be firing around ki blasts while you were hunting? Seemed a bit overkill, really. At her power, she should be able to at least catch her prey without much effort. And what was with the fish then? Slowly, Anton floated down, moving into her view. "Not a bad catch there," he spoke up, trying to get her attention, "And you didn't have to flatten half the forest to do so either." He could still see smoke rising through the trees from where her blasts had landed. He watched the curious alien quietly. Let's see how she reacts to his presence.

"Aah? AAAAAAAAH!?" Safe shouted, immediately looking towards the figure and jumping away. Though she quickly listened to what he said, and her expression of shock normalized for a fraction of a second before his declarations pulled her attention over to the smoky trails raising from where her energy blasts had struck.
Turning back to face him slowly, her head creaked with almost comical style as she feared she had just angered the great guardian of the forest. Her face was slowly turning into am embarrassed blush, causing her to quickly shoot her hands up to cover her face, one hand on either side of her face. "I'm sorry! It was an accident, please forgive me great lord of the forest." She said, hands pulling from her face as she leaned forward on her hands and knees, forehead touching the ground.
"I was trying to catch a really tricky deer and I didn't want to blow it up completely, I just wanted to num it! I'm out here trying to learn to cook. I'm done blowing up the forest by accident though!" She shouted as she sat back up fully, but back on the ground as she looked towards the fish. "I got a fish it looks like. I whacked it to oof it quickly." She said, flashing a thumbs up.
"Instant and painless! Also thanks for the catch compliment, I worked very hard to catch it." She said, almost like fate messing with her, a massive crash shook the forest and the canopy burst with a wave of fleeing birds as the massive boulder she whimsically threw had come crashing down like a meteor. Woopsie, she said, face reddening again as her head turned to the side.
"Anyways, do you know how to prepare and cook a fish into a fancy Earthling food? I had a super yummy food called a Burrito and it inspired me to want to learn how to cook." She said, fidgeting with her finger. "Oh! And I'm Safe." She blinked.
"That's my name... Just incase you thought I was saying I'm Safe. But I am Safe! And I was saying I'm safe, because I'm not in danger or anything. Y-..." She let out a sigh.

Well, Ochra hadn't intended to frighten the woman, though he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow over her reaction to him. Did...did she really think he was some sort of forest spirit or something? Did Ochra look like some sort of wildlife guardian? This...was definitely a new one. Well, he should at least clear the air about that. "Erm, I'm not the lord of the forest," that was something Ochra never thought he would have to say, "I'm just a man passing through, and I noticed all the blasts you were firing off. That's all." So, he had been right about her trying to hunt, rather sloppily as well. Well, at least she had caught something to eat, so no more ameture landscaping was going to happen. As she spoke about cooking, Ochra tilted his head in thought. It was a rather nice fish. One could make a rather tasty meal out of it all. He blinked a little when she introduced herself as Safe, taking a brief moment to realize that was her name. That...must certainly be confusing. "Nice to meet you Safe, I'm Ochra." He glanced at the fist, thinking. She was asking if he knew how to prepare fish. Well, he had been cooking in the wilderness before, so coming up with something on the fly wasn't difficult. "Well, I don't know about making Burritos, but I'm sure we can cook something up with this big guy. Scale it, bone it, probably use some spices, and we can cook up something nice." He looked at the curious alien in front of him, "You staying anywhere, a camp or something like that?" Was she like him, just wandering the planet, or did she actually have a home here? Safe

"Ochra? I know an Okra! I met the other one out in the Western Verge or whatever." She said, flashing an enthusiastic smile as she rebounded to a less than awkward state. Looking towards the fish and shuffling right next to it, she slapped the side of it with a loud fishy whack. The big fish kind of rolled and jiggled a little bit. Looking back up towards Ochra, she'd speak.
"Oh, right, yes. It's nice to meet you too Ochra. Yeah I never actually looked into whatever that spice stuff is that you're talking about. We didn't have many of these fishes in the world where I learned to hunt, so I'm not really used to preparing them. If it were the old me I'd have just blasted it with energy to fry it through and through and just bite into it, seemed to do the trick most of the time. Though Satan City taught me just how wrong that was. Oh! And a bartender named Dion that I met in North City too. Though the Burritos were really top notch stuff." She said, practically salivating as she combed over yummy memories.
She then shook her head, "But yes, nope. I don't have a camp or anything like that. I have a crashed ship across the world that is too broken up to even use as a temporary place to live, so I've just been travelling across Earth to discover all there is to discover. So far, Earthling food, cuisine and training gear have been my three greatest discoveries. Of course, there has been a lot of super interest people I've met that are like, way way stronger than even I am." She said, staring one such case right in the face.
"So how do we do all the complicated stuff you said?" She slapped the poor dead fish again. It rolled and jiggled again. Then all was motionless and quiet as she awaited his answers.

Ochra rose a curious eyebrow. There was another Okra, and he was here on Earth? Curious, very curious indeed. Though judging by her reaction to the name, this one wasn't causing her any trouble. Well, that was good. Ochra wouldn't have wanted this to turn into an evil impostor scenario. Ochra couldn't do with someone with a name like his running around ruining his reputation. That stuff gets old really quickly.
He focused back on Safe. So, she was a homeless wanderer. Kind of like Ochra, really. He could sympathise with that, though she seemed a lot more good natured about it all. He looked over at the fish she had caught. Guess he'd be the one preparing it for her. Though she seemed really eager to cook something fantastic, she lacked the tools, or the knowledge, to really do so just yet. "Well, first off, we need to set up a fire to cook this thing." He looked around the forest they were in. There should be plenty of that around. Plus, they would need to make a big one if they're cooking a fish of this size. "Tell you what, why don't you gather some, and I'll get to work scaling and deboning this thing," Ochra offered, walking over to pick up the massive fish. He had spent enough time in the wilderness by himself to be adapt at preparing meals without the comforts of civilization.

Almost impulsively she leaned forward and in irritation, gnawed on the fish. Though it was only held back by the fact she didn't want to ruin it, leaving fairly plain tooth marks that didn't even breach the scales. Falling back again with a sigh, she just looked up towards Ochra with a slight pout. "Gather some... wood? Okay, sure." She said, picking herself up and brushing off her pants. She seemed to be losing her enthusiasm pretty fast, appearing a bit more mellowed out.
"Hey, thanks for helping me with this by the way. I appreciate it." She said with a light smile, rubbing the back of her neck as her head turned away. "I really want to learn to cook. So while I'm gone just remember what you did and explain it to me when I get back, okay?" With that she gave a nod and turned towards the nearby woods. She was collecting for a fire, but it'd have to be a pretty big one to adequately cook such a honker of a fish.
Walking through the woods, she found one moderately sized tree and yoinked it from the ground entirely. Carrying it over her shoulder and back towards where Ochra would be preparing the fish itself, she set it down and began to split it all up with enough wood to make a fairly large fire. If anything, this was still too much, though it was certainly enough to make a bonfire, or whatever they needed. Sorting the sticks from the multiple segments of the main log she'd broken off a little ways to the side of where Ochra was doing his thing, she called over.
"I think I have all of the wood ready! How do we like, cook it and not burn it though!?" She called over, glancing back to the wood. She had a sneaking suspicion they couldn't just drop the fish right onto the open flame.

Ochra nodded as Safe went off to get the firewood, and turned his attention to preparing the fish. He had brought a knife with him in case of stuff like this, and immediately went to work. First came off the scales, scraping them off and leaving them discarded on the ground, only leaving the fish's skin on it. He looked over it. Now to debone it.
Removing the head, fins and tail, he started carving the flesh from the fish's bones. Great, huge fillets of fish flesh were cut clean, soon leaving the fish's skeleton laying on the ground, just in time for Safe to return with her tree. He watched as she broke up the wood, building a nicely sized fire.
"Ok then," Ochra said, "now time to spice this things." Something like this should be relatively simple. He thoroughly rubbed some herbs and spices into the meat. If they had something large and flat, he could try frying them. But in this case, he'd have to roast them over the fire. At her question on how to cook them, Ochra looked over at her. "Like this," he said, getting some long branches from the trees and spearing the meat with them. Holding them firmly, he floated up, over the fire, holding the fish over it. "It takes a little bit, and a fair bit of attention, but this way it should cook all the way through, without burning it." Granted, he'd need to keep holding the fish, but he could do that easily.

Quickly lighting the fire with a simple energy blast, Safe watched with captivated interest as Okra first talked about spicing the fish and then actually started to do so. She looked at whatever herbs he was working into it, not to mention what he did and didn't preserve of the fish. Likely having removed the guts and preserved the fillets while also shaving the hefty scales off. Her attention followed him as he speared the meat and then began to levitate into the air. Floating over the fire, she blinked as he just held the fish over it.
"Oh. Just like that? That seems pretty easy." She pondered, rubbing her chin. Then her attention shifted upwards again. "So in that case, is there anything else after? Also, how did you scale and de-bone the fish or whatever?" She asked while raising a brow. That was about the time the smell started to hit her nose, straying away from slimy fish to an actual warm aroma. It was already better than what she was mostly used too- this new Earthling cuisine aside of course.
"That smells super good. So anyways, if that's gonna take a bit..." She started, looking over him again. "You know, I haven't really made mention of it, but you're super strong aren't you?" She said, looking at his spiky hair. "Are you a Super Saiyan or whatever?" She asked as her head tilted to the side in question. "If so, you gotta teach me how you do it! I might not be a full Saiyan, but if you teach me that I'd at least be halfway there when I'm strong enough right?" She questioned, nostrils flaring as she sniffed the cooking fish again. Post-question she found herself staring blankly at the fish as a line of drool started to trickle from her mouth.
"Woah wai wha?" She said, snapping back to reality and slurping up her drool with a small SHLIRP.

"Well, this is a rather simple recipe," Ochra explained, as he held the fish over the flames, "I mean, if we had access to a proper kitchen and the like, we could cook up something a bit more complicated, though you might need to find an actual chef to teach you all that. This is mainly good when you're out in the wilderness." When she asked about the scaling and the deboning, he looked down at her from above. "Scaling isn't too hard. Just take a blade and run it firmly along the fish. The scales should peel off. As for the deboning, it's a bit more complicated. A knife is best for that, though be careful. It's really easy for bones to break off and get stuck in the meat." Indeed, the fish was starting to smell really good. It was starting to remind him just how hungry he himself was.
And then the topic changed, coming to his strength. So, she could sense energy huh? But when she asked him if he was a Super Saiyan, he paused, quiet for a moment before responding. "Yeah, I am," he said, before she asked if he could teach her how to become one. She...she was part Saiyan? He looked over at her. Yes. He could see it now. "Well...it's not something one can really teach," Ochra tried to explain, trying find a good way to word it. "The transformation...it comes with an intense burst of emotion. Most often rage..." He thought back to his own transformation. "And...it's not going to be pleasant. From what I've experienced, it never is."

Safe raised a brow at how Ochra described the Super Saiyan transformation. Folding her arms and falling into a deep though, she extended a hand out to her side in a brief gesture. "Well... I am only half saiyan, so I doubt it'll be exactly as how you guys experience it. I don't know if that'll make it an easier or harder experience to get through. Needless to say, you've managed to take me from excited to worried, though if it's anything like climbing Korrin's Tower I think I'll pass it when the time comes. Well, climbing the tower with weighted clothes and stuff..." She said, rubbing the back of her neck.
"That's cool, though. I mean not the process itself since you said it was unpleasant, but you know, the transformation itself now that you've hit it, right?" She just lightly blinked, bringing a hand up to her chin to ponder on the topic. "I always have the philosophy that no matter what morals you bother with, with you're in a fight you're a Fighter. I personally love fighting, honestly." She said, a smile forming over her expression.
"Though we can get into that when we're eating. I didn't get a lot of what you said, but the gist of it sounds to me like it's overly complicated. I wish you could just like shake the scales off or something." She said with a sigh, "I don't want to have to be carrying a ton of tools with me, but if that's the secret to unlocking the power of replicating super Earthling foods then you better believe I'm gonna do it anyways!" She said, giving herself a little fist pump. She then let out a sigh as she relaxed- an eccentric one in both her ups and downs it seemed.
"Well, here's to hoping the fish turns out as good as it smells."

Ochra shook his head. "I'm only half Saiyan myself. And let me tell you, it wasn't easy at all." he paused, thinking for a moment, "I was led to believe that my dear friend had been murdered, before I broke through that block. And when I did...I almost ended up killing another friend of mine." The memory of what happened on Namek haunted him. Granted, he had gained a better control of himself since then, but it was still an experience he wouldn't want to go through again. "That being said, once you get through the initial transformation, it gets easier. My advice is to find someone that can restrain you if it ever happens."
Thankfully the topic changed over to what they were eating. At her comment about the scales, Ochra couldn't help but chuckling. "Wouldn't really help the fish if their scales came off that easily. That's like your own skin coming off from simply tripping over." Ok, so that might not be the most pleasant of mental images, but it should have gotten the point across.
Ochra pulled the fish away from the fire. The flesh had been cooked to a nice brown. A thick, delicious aroma filled the air as Ochra touched down onto the ground. He offered one of the skewered fillets to Safe. "Ok, dig in."

Safe lowered her head slightly, "I'm sorry to hear that. Though on the upside, you only seemed to have believed such tragedy was the case, when in reality it wasn't? And ultimately you didn't. So all things considered it ended up turning out okay. Though I can understand how that might be uh... Jarring, I guess. Actually, I really can. I have a little change I undergo when I get super mad. I can't think, I'm like a distant spectator watching myself rampage. Though thankfully that hasn't happened for a decent bit." She said, rubbing the side of her arm for a moment.
"Yeah? I mean, ideally the person I'm fighting would do that. Though if it's as you say and requires something like what you mentioned, if it ever happened I doubt they would be friendly with me enough to not kill me as opposed to just take me down. Whatever, from what I understand it's a pretty unique moment. Besides, it's only a possibility I'll ever have to worry about it."
With that, she listened to his advice attentively. Though she suddenly turned away and covered her mouth as she nearly gagged. "That sounds absolutely horrendous. Oh my... I... What... What... Even the possibility of something like that existing in some other form makes me feel sick. If it weren't for the food that smells good I think I would've just vomited." She said, regaining her composure. Though at this point, the fish was ready! Taking one of the massive skewered fillets she opened her mouth wide and chomped down into it! A massive bite mark was torn out of it as her cheeks were packed full with fish, and she was already biting again. Buzzing through the entire skewer rapidly, but not entirely quite yet.
"THISH ISH SHUPER GOOD Fer no like prep werk 'n shtuff." She gulped, "Not as good as the burritos from Satan City though, those were super amazing. But to know I can just grab, smack on a slab and put it in my... belly, dang it, whatever - it's that tasty, that's super duper cool." She said, nodding twice quickly.
"So like, every Saiyan I've talked to has been a part of the Saiyan Kingdom." She started counting her fingers. "Kalabas, Okra, uuh... Okay just two, but that's all the Saiyan's I've met so far. Kalabas wanted me to join, what's it all about? Kalabas kinda went over it but like, I want to uh... Get different perspectives if you even know. You are a Saiyan, I dunno, might be assuming."

Ochra nodded quietly, taking in Safe's words. So, she had a little transformation of her own, tied to rage. Must be from her alien heritage, since apart form the Oozaru, which required the moon, the only other transformation Saiyans had was the Super Saiyan. This was an interesting thought though. Would she even be able to go Super Saiyan? Or would she become something else? It was certainly something to think about.
Well, the conversation shifted when they dug into the food. Indeed, the fish had been cooked to perfection, and Safe seemed more than happy to have a well cooked meal. The knowledge that she didn't need to be an expert chef to have good food was a wonderful discovery for her. Ochra couldn't help but chuckle. "Feel free to experiment as well. After all, different people have different tastes." Indeed, she might prefer certain flavours. But there was no knowing for sure. Only she knew.
And then she brought up a curious topic. So, her other encounters had been Kalabas and this other Okra. Wait, Kalabas? "Kalabas is alive?" From what he heard, he had died against the Arcosian Chill. Was he somehow brought back to life? Had Belle succeeded in reviving him? Well, they can get to that later. He figured she was asking if he was with the kingdom. "Well, yes and no." Ochra replied, taking another bite, chewing, and swallowing before continuing, "I work as a bounty hunter, tracking down criminals for a living. I did help the kingdom retake their homeworld, but I wouldn't say I'm strictly aligned with them. Sort of on a professional basis."

Continuing to drill through the fish, she was encouraged to experiment with the food. She wondered how else she could tinker with something so awesome- how much she underappreciated the sensations he taste buds could provide had no end! Num num num, the entire fillet of the massive fish was quickly reduced to half spear half fillet before she'd go to respond to his question about Kalabas.
"Mmmm... No Kalabas is as dead as a door nail, he's a spooky though." She said, sticking the fish fillet spear in the ground for a second to wiggle her arms around like a spooky ghost. "Still, we uhm..." She fell quiet for a moment, picking up the spear and munching on a bit more fish. "Really understand each other, apparently he was a bad guy in the past, but he wants to own up to his mistakes and come back a new person. So I want to use the Dragon Balls to bring him back eventually, though I have a lot of things I would use wishes for..." She said, munching away further.
"A bounty hunter? That must be pretty exciting. You must have a bunch of like, super cool bad guys that are super duper strong to fight all the time. How do you even get a job as a bounty hunter? Just start like beating up bad guys and dragging them to prison? Hey- that might mean you, Ochra, drag bad guys to where Okra worked, at the prison. Ochra and Okra working together, as it was meant to be." She said, nodding her head twice in an almost sagely manner.
She continued to drill through the poor fish, reducing it to merely a large spear that she tossed over her shoulder. It flipped through the air and landed in the ground with a thud. "That was super duper ultra yummy. Sounds like a lot of big stuff happens outside of Earth. I take it their homeworld was Vegeta, right? Okra was telling me a little bit about it. Who took it? The World Trade Fleet? Sorry, I don't really know all the uh... History and stuff." She admitted, folding her arms gently.
