Okra easily dodged the human’s kick. As it swung wide of him, the saiyan grabbed the man’s leg. He spun the human around and launched him into the air. The man was sent flying outside the the tournament ring, landing hard on the ground.
“RING OUT! OKRA WINS! HE ADVANCES ONTO THE FINALS, WHERE HE WILL FACE THE WINNER OF OURRRRRRR NEXT SEMI-FINAL BOUT! ISN’T THIS EXCITING FOLKS!?!?!?”
“Let's ask him how he feels about advancing to the FINAAAAALLLLSSSSSSS!” the commentator walked over to the saiyan warrior, “So Okra, how does it feel to have breeeezzzed through the competition? Feeling pretty confident that you’ll win the whole SHEBANNGGG?!” he held his mic up to the saiyan.
Okra sort of glared at him, but the man just motioned his mic, unperturbed. The saiyan sighed, “Yea. I’m pretty confident,” he said with boredom.
“HERE THAT FOLKS?! OKRA’S PRETTY CONFIDENT! AND HE MAY VERY WELL HAVE A SHOT AT WINNING WITH THE DISPLAY OF POWER HE’S PUT ON! NO ONE’S EVEN BEEN ABLE TO HIT HIM YET!!! TALK ABOUT AMAAZZZZZINNGGGGG!”
“Well, alright Okra! You’re free to head off the wing and into the building to refresh while you wait for your NEXXXXTTTT bout!”
Okra exited the ring, and headed into the small building where the contestants were allowed to eat, nap, or somewhat recover before the next battle. Most of those who had already lost, had either just left, or gone on to spectate from the crowds. Okra was more than happy to have the place to himself. He decided to snack on some chips while he waited to fight again.
The saiyan had come here after spotting a poster in East City. It was a small, local tournament, held around fifty kilometers from the actual city. A lot of people still had signed up, but it wasn’t a very prestigious tournament when compared to the esteemed Tenkaichi Budokai. Still, for what it was, it was pretty impressive.
The ring was a different size, around the same size as the one found in the Tenkaichi Budokai. The stands were much less impressive, they essentially amounted to bleachers, but there was enough to seat a decent amount of people. It also had good concessions, and ticket prices were pretty cheap. It had even garnered a decent crowd despite it being a local thing. He figured the announcer was the reason for that. The guy really knew how to whip up a crowd. Earthlings also really liked to watch other people beat on each other. He supposed they were more similar to saiyans than he and others had realized.
Okra hadn’t really signed up for fun. He figured most of the competition would be a breeze, and he had been right. He hadn’t even broken a sweat yet. He just wanted the money from winning the thing. He needed some cash to buy more delicious human food. After having it for the first time, he just wanted more and more.
And so, the saiyan waited for the next bout to finish.

The bounty hunting had been a little dry on Earth lately, so when Ochra had noticed the poster for the fighting tournament, he had figured it would be an easy paycheck. And really, he had been proven right. With such a low level tournament, none of the real heavy hitters had come here, leaving only the weaker fighters for Ochra to deal with. He couldn't help but feel a little guilty about it all. The difference between them was so vast it wasn't even a contest. He was almost stealing the prize money. Ochra at least held back enough to not hurt the contestants, instead picking them up and carrying them out of the ring. Not exactly the entertainment that the viewers were hoping, but something seemed to be getting them excited, especially as the finals drew closer.
His latest opponent had been a rather large, muscular man. Which came as a shock to him when Ochra merely picked him up and set him down out of the ring without any resistence. The audience let out a chorus of boos. They were wanting some real matches, but Ochra was just plowing through the competition like they were nothing. Ochra said nothing as he slowly strode out of the ring. At least, he would have, if the announcer hadn't stopped him.
"Hold on there! Don't go anywhere. Next up is the finals, and I'm pretty sure you're all raring to go!" the said, trying to keep his excitement in. Ochra blinked. That's right, it was the finals now, wasn't it? Well, they didn't need to clean up the ring or anything. Guess he could just wait until his opponent came in. The announcer was bristling with excitement. "Ok folks, now it's the fight we've all been waiting for! We all saw this coming. It's time for the two big guys to finally go at it. Ochra VS OKRAAAAAAA!"
The crowd let out a roar. Ochra paused, blinking. Wait, had the man just said...Okra?

Okra was relaxing in a recliner, reading some fighting magazine when a casually dressed man walked over to him, “Hey bud, it’s your time to shine. You are facing Ochra!”
The saiyan gave him a confused look, “...But… I’m Okra…” was this human drunk or something? How could Okra fight himself? Maybe the man had confused him for someone else?
“Right! And you’ll be facing Ochra in the finals.”
“Uhhhm… are you okay? I am Okra, that’s my name.”
The man gave an exasperated sigh, “Yes! You are Okra. You, Okra, are fighting Ochra. In the finals.”
Okra shook his head, “I…. don’t understand. If I’m Okra, how am I supposed to be fighting myself?”
The man struggled to not roll his eyes, “Look, it is a different person. His name is just really similar to yours, just spelt differently. Alright? Capeesh?”
It finally dawned on the saiyan warrior, “Ohhhh, alright. I get it now,” he mentally facepalmed. How could he be so dense? He probably looked like an idiot now.
With a sigh, the saiyan rose from his seat, hoping against hope that maybe he’d finally face a worthy opponent. He set the magazine down on the coffee table and strode out of the building.
As he walked up to the ring the commentator let out a gleeful shout, “THERE HE IS FOLKS! OKRAAAAAAAA!!!” the crowd roared, “THIS MAN HAS DEMOLISHED THE COMPETITION SO FAR, BUT HAS HE MET HIS MATCH INNNNN OCHRAAAAAA?” the announcer whipped the crowd into a frenzy, “These two have both BREEZEED through the tournament so far! BUT! Who will be the victor here TODAYYYYY??!? FIND OUT AFTER THIS COMMERCIAL BREAK!” people in the crowd got up to use the restroom and grab concessions. They’d be back before the bout actually started.
As Okra walked into the ring, he looked over his opponent, Ochra. He had a rugged look about. He was scarred around the mouth, tattooed, and was dressed like a biker.
“Alrighhhtttt you two! Come to the middle of the stage and greet each other!”
The warrior walked to the center of the ring, holding out his hand. Whether Ochra accepted the handshake or not, he spoke, “Name’s Okra, pleasure to meet you… Ochra. Didn't think I'd face someone with such a similar name. You a saiyan by any chance?”
Man, this could get confusing, he thought to himself.

Nope, he hadn't misheard. His opponent was, indeed, Okra. Now, Ochra would have been surprised that there was someone running around with the same name as him (though, logically speaking, it was bound to happen), however, he had already heard about this man, from the alien hybrid Safe. Though he hadn't expected to meet him like this. He waited in the ring, watching him step out and approach him. The man even resembled him to an extent, though he was dressed in typical saiyan armour. And lacking the obvious battle damage that he had. What's more, he was certainly a lot stronger than the men he'd be fighting up until this point.
As the man stepped into the ring, he seemed to be quick on the uptake, identifying him as a Saiyan. "Yes, actually," Ochra responded, accepting the handshake, "On my mother's side anyway. I don't need to ask if you are, the armour kind of gives it away." Slowly, the crowd was starting to come back into the stands. It seems the commercial break was over, and it was time for them to start the fight. He eyed the saiyan in front of him. He didn't seem that bad of a character. Granted, even if he wasn't, it wasn't like he could do much to him.
Ochra took a couple of steps back, slipping into a combat stance. "Alright then, whenever you're ready, come at me!" He may as well make this final match interesting for the crowd.

Okra grinned when his handshake was accepted. So Ochra was a saiyan. That was ironic. He chuckled when he mentioned the armor, “Right, I guess it does. I don’t exactly have another change of clothes to use, so I’ve just been wearing these around. Not that I’d wear anything else anyway,” he rubbed the back of his head, “Good luck to ya,” he finished as the handshake ended.
Like Ochra, he took a few steps back, settling into a combat stance. The prospect of fighting another saiyan had him excited. It seemed this tournament would end up being fun after all. The last time he had fought anyone worthwhile was Oryian, and that spar had been interrupted by a dastardly arcosian. He didn’t know just how strong Ochra was, but the saiyan hoped he was somewhat near his own power, if not stronger.
“ALLLLLRIGHTTT FOLKS! THANKS FOR TUNING BACK IN!” the commentator announced, he pointed at Okra, "ONNNNN THIS SIDE WE HAVE OKRAAAAAAA!” he paused for a moment, letting the crowd scream and applause. He then pointed at Ochra, "ANDDDDD ON THIS SIDE WE HAVE OCHRAAAAAAAA!” the commentator spread out his arms as the crowd roared and shrieked, “THESE TWO HAVE EASILY DEMOLISHED THE REST OF THE COMPETITION, BUT HAS ONE OF THEM MET THERE MAAAAATCCH!? THIS WILLL BE A BAAAATTTLLLE FOR THE AGEESSSSSSS!!”
The commentator hopped off the ring, “LET’S GET READDDDDYYY TO RUMBLEEEEEEE!” the crowd let out a massive cheer, “NOWWWWWWWW FIGHTTTTT ON!” the crowd erupted into chants of Okra and Ochra. It was hard to tell who they actually supported.
The saiyan didn’t waste any time. In a blink of an eye, he dashed forward, whipping back his arm and sending it crashing toward Ochra’s jaw. He followed it with a quick punch aimed for the gut and a strong right elbow for the nose. The saiyan intended to play this aggressively.

Ochra brought his arms up, a typical boxing stance, getting ready for the fight to begin. His eyes were steeled on the Saiyan in front of him. Time to see how this one carried himself. There were those that talked a big game, but ultimately were cowards (like a certain masked saiyan), and then there were those who were rather chill, yet could bench press a planet (such as Nashua). What sort of person was Okra? How would he go in this fight?
As the fight began, Okra wasted no time, closing the distance between the two of them and opening with a rather solid combo. Ochra kept his arms up, shifting back lightly as he blocked the punch aimed at his jaw. The punch to the gut came through, earning a small grunt from Ochra, but not much else, as he stopped the elbow from hitting him in the face. He wasn't going to start fighting back just yet. He wanted to see just what Okra could do. Even if he was a lot stronger than the others, there was still a considerable gap between the pair of them.
And he didn't want to end the match too quickly. this was the finals after all.

“AND OKRAAAA OPENS WITH A SOLID COMBOOOOOOOOO! WILL, OCHRA STRIKE BACK? THIS IS ALREADY GETTING EXCITING FOLKS!”
Okra felt a sense of satisfaction well up within him as his fist slammed into Ochra’s gut. His punch and elbow to the face were blocked, but he still got a solid hit on his opponent. The saiyan fully expected the hybrid to counter, but no blows rained in on him. That somewhat confused him. The other saiyan didn't expect to win by tiring Okra out, did he?
Okra decided to press the offensive. He tried to sweep Ochra’s legs to throw the hybrid off balance. Following that, he unleashed a barrage of punches around his opponents body. He finished with a high kick aimed toward Ochra’s lower jaw. If Ochra was just going to sit back, Okra fully intended to take advantage of it.
“ANDDDD OKRA TAKES THE OFFENSIVE AGAIN!!! HOW WILL OCHRA RESPOND!?!?!?”

Ochra couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at the announcer's words, trying to hype up the situation more than what it really was. Then again, it was their job after all. But Ochra wasn't in any real trouble. He would let Okra continue the offensive, but he wasn't going to pretend like he was in any real trouble. He did notice that Okra seemed to realize what was going on though, noticing that he wasn't making any attempt to fight back.
As he tried to sweep Ochra's feet from underneath him, the bounty hunter lept up, the attack passing harmlessly underneath him. He brought his arms up, blocking against the barrage of punches okra unleashed on him. The man certainly had a good deal of energy to him. Perhaps it was time for Ochra to start counterattacking.
As the saiyan swung a foot to kick him in the face, Ochra caught it, stopping it dead in its tracks. "Ok, my turn." Bringing back a fist, Ochra swung hard, aiming to hit him right in the sternum. Not hard enough to send him flying, but certainly hard enough to show his opponent exactly what kind of person he was fighting.

The hybrid jumped over Okra’s leg sweep. Ochra also easily blocked the flurry of punches the saiyan sent his way. As Okra swung his leg in a kick, his opponent grabbed it stopping him in his tracks. Okra was ready for a counter attack, but it hadn’t even been a second when he was struck in the sternum. The saiyan gasped out, and stumbled backwards a bit, clutching the area. He hadn’t even seen it coming and it had really hurt. This guy was no joke! He was strong.
“OH WOOOWWW! DID YOU SEE THAT, OCHRA FINALLY COUNTERS AND MAN IS IT A NASTY BLOW! WHAT A PUNCH! I COULD FEEL THE IMAPACT FROM HEREEEEE! IS OKRA ALREADY DONE FORRRR?” the commentator casted. The crowd let out a gasp when the saiyan was struck. Others yipped and cheered in delight, they certainly felt like they were getting their money’s worth today!
The warrior quickly recovered his breath and settled back into a combat stance. He grit his teeth, realizing that if he wanted to win he’d have to take this fight seriously. He briefly wondered if he should make use of ki attacks, but quickly dismissed the thought. He didn’t want to hurt anyone in the crowd.
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!! IT LOOKS LIKE OKRA IS STILL READY TO FIGHHHHTTTTT! But, can he turn the BATTTTLLLLE ARRROOOOUND?!?!?!" parts of the crowd roared in support of Okra, while others cheered in Ochra's favor!
The saiyan eyed his opponent for a moment. He was too quick to effectively guard or dodge against. He’d have to be hyper-aggressive. The saiyan dashed forward, throwing an elbow to Ochra’s cheek. He followed with a swift knee toward the gut, hoping to knock the air from his opponent. He finished with a powerful uppercut to the jaw in an effort to send the hybrid flying. Maybe even out of the ring!!

The blow had the effect Ochra had expected. He was certain his opponent knew what sort of person he was up against. He didn't pay much mind to the announcer's words. Honestly, he felt the guy talked too much. Can't he just let them fight? The crowd can see the action just fine. If the cheering and the growing chanting was anything to go by.
Fortunately, it seemed like his attack hadn't deterred Okra from fighting him. Good. It showed he wasn't simply going to crumble in the face of someone stronger than him. However his...choice of strategy wasn't exactly what Ochra desired. He simply surged forward with another forward assault. How did he expect to win if he just kept charging in? Ochra brought his arms up, working to block and deflect the blows that he was throwing in his direction. As Okra tried to finish up with his uppercut, Ochra moved fast. He avoided the blow, shifting himself until he was behind Okra.
"Foolish." Digging his mechanical foot into the ground, he brought his other leg up, aiming to kick Okra skyward. Oh, he was sure the Saiyan could fly. I mean, who on Vegeta couldn't? He crossed his arms, his eyes locked on his opponent. "You know you're outclassed, and yet you keep on attacking, just utilizing brute force when you know it's not working. Come on, show me what you can do!"

Okra’s barrage of blows were easily blocked by his counterpart. The saiyan felt a sense of frustration well up within him as his Ochra easily dodged his uppercut. It seemed being ultra aggressive wouldn’t work. The warrior really was at a loss for how to win when there was an overwhelming disparity in strength. Okra was much much weaker than Ochra. It angered him that someone was stronger than him, but he wouldn’t give up this battle. He’d still try to win.
As the saiyan’s uppercut swung past Ochra, Okra lost track of his opponent. He spun around, spotting his adversary just in time to feel Ochra’s foot connect with his chest. The warrior was sent flying skyward, chest already bruising from the blow. The saiyan flipped in the air and quickly recovered. If he didn’t know how to fly, that surely would’ve been a ring out, but he did know, and so he hovered in the air.
“MY GODDDD, WHAT WAS THAT KICK!?!?! THAT WAS CRAZY, AND NOW OKRA IS FLYING?!?!?! I’M NOT SURE THAT’S ALLOWED BUT BY GOD THE CROWD LOVES IT SO WE’RE GONNA LET IT HAPPPEEEENN!!!”
Okra grinned at Ochra’s words. He chuckled a bit before replying, “You’re right, I am outclassed. You’re too quick for me actually. I can barely even spot your attacks, let alone dodge them. I could try to block them, but I’d just be blown away. I tried being aggressive to throw you off balance, but that didn’t work,” he sighed, “Not only are you strong, but you’re experienced too. I'm at a major disadvantage while fighting you.”
The saiyan’s feet lightly tapped the ground as he descended. He briefly considered his options. He didn’t know if Ochra could sense, so if he could conceal himself it’s possible he could take the other saiyan by surprise. He decided on a course of action.
The saiyan suddenly shot a group of ki blasts at Ochra’s feet. The orbs weren’t meant to strike him, but instead hit the ground and cough up a wall of smoke. The saiyan charged forward, hoping Ochra wouldn’t catch onto his plan and think the ki blasts were just poorly aimed.
As he got close, he struck at the saiyan, aiming for his head. He moved around in what would hopefully be smoke, striking at various parts of his enemy's body while Okra was concealed. He finished with a strong kick to the side, somewhat hoping, but not expecting for it to send the saiyan flying out of the ring.

Indeed Ochra was right. The other saiyan could indeed fly, catching himself mid air to stop his fall and right himself up. Ochra listened quietly to his words. Well, at least he was willing to admit he was at a disadvantage. He wasn't one of those hard headed saiyans who couldn't admit when they were outgunned. But that wasn't going to stop him either. Very good. Ochra would have been disappointed if his opponent had decided to give up, just like that.
And then the fight was back on. And this time, there was a sense of strategy to Okra's actions. Firing random ki blasts down at the ground to kick up smoke and create a smokescreen. A classic tactic, Ochra had to admit. He was thinking now, instead of relying on brute force. Unfortunately for Okra, Ochra could sense energy perfectly. He felt Okra coming in, and braced himself for the assault. He had to admit, he was good at thinking on his feet, using the smoke to hide his moves, and shifting his position to attack from multiple sides. If only he was stronger. Then they could have a real fight.
Instead, Ochra decided to show off some of his own abilities. With a grunt, he let out a burst of ki around him, enough to certainly throw off Okra, and blow away the smoke that was surrounding them.
Burst Barrier [B1] used. 51,954 PL to push Okra and the smoke away.

Okra threw blow after blow at his opponent in the smoke. He shifted around while concealed, but all of his strikes were still either blocked or dodged. He had only managed to land a single blow at the start of the match. He suspected that Ochra could, in fact sense ki. Okra began to feel frustrated, it seemed there wasn’t anyway to win given the gulf in power, but there had to be something he could do. There had to be! Every battle was winnable if you were smart enough.
Okra immediately braced himself when his opponent let out a burst of ki from around his body. The smoke was instantly blown away, along with Okra himself. His feet skidded along the ground, nearly to the edge of the ring.
“WOWWWWW!!! WHAT WAS THAT? A STRANGE ENERGY SUDDENLY SURROUNDED OCHRA AND BLEW OKRA AWAAAAYYYY! THAT WAS CRAZYYYYYYYY!!!” the crowd let out excited shouts and cheers. Even though the battle had seemed rather one sided, they sure were getting a spectacle! The tickets were dirt cheap considering the things they had seen in the final today, “AREN’T YOU ALL YOU CAMMMEEEE HERE TODAY???” the crowd roared in agreement.
Okra was seriously at a loss for what he could do to win this battle. His opponent could sense ki and was way stronger and faster. He felt like he was being toyed with and the feeling frustrated him. He knew every battle was winnable, but how? How could he win?
The saiyan grit his teeth, a concentrated look on his face. He dashed forward again, firing a few blasts of ki at Ochra. He reeled back his fist, but instead of striking forward, he feinted and aimed a high kick for the jaw. He followed with a few punches aimed towards various parts of the body. He finished with another feint, bringing back his left fist, but instead quickly striking for the cheek with his right arm.

Ochra hadn't been trying to throw Okra out of the ring, so he was pleased that the Saiyan managed to keep his footing. It was pretty clear by this point that the fight was grossly one sided in the bounty hunter's favour. And he could see the frustration on the younger saiyan's face. As Okra charged forward, putting up a hyper agressive assault, Ochra put himself on the defensive, working on blocking and deflecting the blows. Okra was trying to throw some feints into the combo, not a bad way of thinking really. If they were more even in terms of power, this really would be a good fight. However, there was only so much one can do when you're this grossly out powered. Ochra could see that.
As the younger saiyan swung a blow at Ochra's face, the older caught it, stopping the attack dead. Ochra looked right into his eyes. "Not bad. You've shown quite a bit of skill today," he said, his voice completely level, "But I think it's time for class to end, shall we?" And then he moved, faster than Okra could possibly react. No simply shots like before. Ochra let him have it with a series of combos, raining blow after blow down on his opponent. An uppercut to send him into the air, before flying up to catch up to him, continuing the assault before finishing with a haymaker, intent on sending Okra flying out of the ring.

The saiyan grit his teeth in frustration as blow after blow was blocked. Nothing was working, there didn’t seem to be any possible way to win this battle. Ochra was too fast, too strong, it was hopeless, but Okra wouldn’t give up. He’d fight till he lost.
He threw a strong haymaker forward, but the blow was merely caught. He strained to push it forward, but Ochra held his fist with a vice like grip. It didn’t move an inch. He let out a gasp in surprise as he was struck in the gut faster than he could see. He stumbled back a bit, but Ochra didn’t let up his assault. Okra received blow after blow, grunting in pain as he was struck all over. An uppercut sent his head rocking back, and he was sent flying into the air.
“OH MYYYYYYY! WHAT AN EXPLOSIVE ASSAULT BY OCHRAAAAAAAAA! IT SEEMS HE’S ON THE VERGE OF WIIIINNNNINGGG THE TOURNAMENT!!!! OKRA LOOKS LIKE HE’S ON THE ROOPPPPESSSS!!” the announcer casted with enthusiasm. The crowd gasped when Okra was sent flying into the air. It seemed this battle was coming to a close!
The saiyan’s head spun and ears rang as he tried to recover. Blood dripped from a cut on his lip and from his nose. His vision was blurry, but he managed to spot Ochra coming in with the finishing blow. The saiyan decided to play his last gambit. With a sudden burst of speed, he dashed behind Ochra in the blink of an eye, leaving an afterimage in his wake. The saiyan clasped his hands together above his head, and brought them down, aiming for the back of Ochra’s skull, hoping to send the stronger saiyan flying out of the ring in a surprising upset!
Whether it hit or not, he followed with a quick energy attack. He pulled his right hand back before launching it forward, unleashing a blue ball of powerful energy aimed for Ochra. As he let the blast go, he breathed heavily, hoping that this would somehow win him the battle.
