“Yanno, you remind me of someone I used to teach. A goofball, that's for sure.” King Kai remarked gleefully hearing Nashi was more than willing to learn. In all honesty, the blue catboy reminded him of someone from a long time ago, at least in the eagerness department, less so everything else. “Definitely knew how to have fun, that one did.”
Having watched Nashi run lap after lap around the tiny planetoid, taking his training in stride once again, King Kai's confidence was emboldened, Nashi had a quite a good show of stamina thus far, which would be incredibly important once he had finished the introductory training and lessons. Eventually though, Nashi had run well over the estimated 1952 or so laps around the planetoid by now, but the lad still had a whole heck of a lot of steam! King Kai couldn't help but grin. “Okay, that's enough running around like that, you've made up the distance!” King Kai called out, waiting patiently to see if Nashi was the type to top on a dime at the command or if he was more of a momentum-keeping kinda guy that would take a moment to slow down.
After Nashi stopped and settled down, King Kai signalled for him to mosey on over. “So, that's step one taken care of! For the future, Snake Way is something of a trial for my students I'll have you know. I gotta see if they have the stamina for the training. I'm sure you understand.” Nashi's records did say that he made attempts to train others himself as Senbyo, and in doing so gave his potential students a trial; climb Korin's tower manually, without the use of flight.
King Kai folded his arms, nodding sagely. “That said, there are a few more trials; just two more for today though so I can be eeeeextra sure.” Nashi had stamina on lock, and he was able to adapt, but was he able to focus? “Next task for you to get a handle on, is to find someone without using any extrasensory ability, just plain old hide'n'seek, focusin' with your good ol' eyeballs. What d'you think Gregory, reckon Nashi here can do it?” Upon King Kai's shoulder, a small cricket-looking individual appeared all of a sudden. “Well, I think he can definitely try!” Gregory gave Nashi a once-over, sizing him up. “I'll give you a whole thirty seconds to find me!” With that, the enigmatic cricket disappeared as quickly as he showed up! “Well I'll be, you gotta get a move on, Nashi! Gregory means business if he gives someone thirty seconds!”
