The time had come.
This meeting with the President had been a long time coming, so many things got in the way and the planet almost got flip-turned upside down multiple times. Fortunately, those of good intent were often strong enough to win the day. After having taken up the leading role as Captain of the Pride Troopers following Terryn’s indefinite coma and subsequent disappearance, the Makaimorph had gone through all of the proper channels to call for an appointment with Carro Hofferson to discuss the current state of Earth and it’s relation to other galactic powers. The Makaimorph had also forewarned Carro and his administration that he would also be bringing his second in command, Voltex, to the meeting.
Now, the Saiyan was understandably busy with many things, just as the Makaimorph was, so things had to be put off for a myriad of reasons— all of which were understandably important as they related to the safety of Earth and it’s people; and the Makaimorph understood this. Thankfully, there was a gap in their busy schedules where they could talk— and today was that day.
The heroic duo made their way over to Kings Castle as efficiently and as quickly as possible, and arrived early by exactly five minutes, politely making themselves as well as their business known to any guards present, patiently awaiting Carro to officially welcome them into Kings Castle.

MEET THE HOFFERSONSCARRO's PL: 100 | LEO's PL: 100 (x16P - SUPPRESSED // 180k BASE)
If today had been any other day, Carro would have been ecstatic that someone made an actual appointment with him. He'd have cheerily shook hands and welcomed them into his home, ready and willing to discuss anything. He still was, but now a somber presence lingered with his every breath. A vile concoction of dread, determination, regret, and sheer stubbornness sloshed around in his mind, still locked inside LEO's Lifeblood state. Still, he had an appointment to follow through with before he went and threw himself and LEO on a suicide mission.
Soon enough, the doors to the towering castle would be pried open for Makaimorph and his partner. The man standing on the other end was... vaguely Carro-looking. Five-feet tall thanks to the armor, complete with sharp claws and fangs embedded into his mouth, if the two knew of LEO and her capabilities then they'd likely have a vague understanding of what was up, but her energy and Carro's own would feel like a near-identical match to keen senses. "Hello," The president greeted, a faint mechanical echo audible in his tone. ".......Before you ask, you can say LEO and I, uh, had a few upgrades. Let's not dwell on that. There's more pressing matters than my personal life, I'm sure we're both aware." Carro tried to dismiss his own condition. It was a good thing the mask hid away the sickeningly purple bags under his eyes.
With the two free to head inside, Carro would escort them to a nearby office down the main hall. "....I think I have a hunch as to what's concerning, but let's hear it from you first and get straight to the point." He sighed as mouth spreading into a grimace, eyes sunken with somberness. Still, he composed himself again soon enough, expression returning to a stern gaze. Business came first.
LEO's [UT1] LIFE LINK is active, along with her LIFEBLOOD (x16P) form! Her ki feels nearly identical to Carro's. [UT1] Ki Suppression lowers her sensible strength to 100 PL.

It had been a while since Nashua had last felt they she did currently. Both a heightened and heavy feeling in her chest. The sound of her heartbeat in her ears. It was always curious when she received a telepathic message from someone, and usually it took her a moment to realize it was someone else intruding on her head, but this time was different. It had unmistakably been Tarch's voice, and she had unmistakably been absolutely unable to find his power level anywhere on the planet, no matter where she looked with her scouter. And he wouldn't have sent out a telepathic message like that as a joke of some kind, that wasn't the way Tarch worked. Nashua had come to Earth to meet with the President specifically, and while ordinarily, she'd have happily waited for his schedule to clear up before she could meet directly with him, this was not the time to be waiting.
She touched down just outside King Castle, and as she approached, was stopped by two guards, who informed her the President was currently busy with a scheduled meeting. "I am the Queen of Arcose here on official diplomatic business. You will step aside," Nashua commanded of the two of them, before walking past them despite any other protests they may have urged towards her. She made her way into the castle, admittedly feeling strange on the inside for being so firm about this, but she could only stand so many delays before she was able to return to Arcose. If she were to stay away from the planet for too long, then her ability as a ruler would come into question. It only took a few moments before she reached the main office, with Carro and the person he was meeting with inside as Nashua herself entered.
Carro was in full combat armor for some reason, but Nashua ignored that and got quickly to the point. "I understand you're busy, but I'm going to be pushing our meeting up a bit," she firmly stated to the redheaded Saiyan. He was going to be annoyed with her, obviously, but she'd just have to deal with that. "I had other stuff to discuss, obviously, but that can wait. There is a Saiyan named Tarch who lives on Earth, and he's a very powerful Super Saiyan. He was murdered. I don't know by who, but you have someone on this planet that is stronger than the strongest Super Saiyans. And that means your entire planet is at risk." She then glanced over at the person Carro was supposed to be meeting with, whom she didn't recognize, and frowned. "Again, my apologies for intruding, but this is urgent."

Both of the Pride Troopers thanked the guards stationed at the entrance with a quick nod, and thusly approached Carro when he revealed himself. "Greetings, mister Hofferson." The Makaimorph gave a polite bow. "Aye, It is good to finally talk with you officially." Voltex followed Makaimorph’s lead and bowed as well.
The duo had indeed heard rumors and watched whatever newscasts they could— they knew well enough that Carro and LEO were capable of a great deal many things, this peculiar merger between the two of them evidently one of said things. They didn’t see cause to point it out or gawk in awe at such a thing. It would be most disrespectful to act unprofessionally, especially whilst on official business matters. Besides, they too were (fully) armored, so if anything they felt less out of place. "Though, I would be lying if I said you didn’t look like quite the badass." Voltex was the type to speak their mind with utmost confidence— they were known as an individual of typically high energy. Any other day they would exclaim to the heavens just how radical Carro and LEO looked right now. As to be expected, the gravity of the situation reeled them back a lot, so a rock solid compliment would have to do. "Please excuse my comrade if his comments come off as inappropriate, Mister Hofferson. Voltex here is normally a fiercely energetic type. Just so you are aware, he is doing his best to remain professional."
Following swiftly behind Carro, the Makaimorph most of all was more than happy to get straight into the raw details of things. "Indeed, there are multiple concerns, some stemming from events within the past year or so to now as we have not had the time to meet properly prior to now. I apologize if anything that we bring up causes any further distress. First of all, there is the incident where a rogue Oozaru— one that we are aware went by the name of Banzo— attempted the destruction of your company and most of Central City. Our first leader, Koban, among many other valiant individuals sacrificed themselves as you know. We have since been informed that some members of the Saiyan Kingdom have assumed less than stellar things about that incident as a whole and believe that Banzo was somehow not at fault. I ask that if you were to meet with any Saiyan Kingdom officials, that you would pass on the truth of the matter from your perspective." The Makaimorph placed a lot of faith in Carro, and if the Saiyan’s actions for this planet said anything, it was that this faith was well placed. "Secondly, there is the matter of a demon by the name of Sensoa. It was he who destroyed Muscle Tower. A civilian’s report a bystander that was close to the incident in particular, states that Sensoa had such an adverse reaction to the presence of a silver haired android that he went on a rampage, which we assume resulted in his alliance with those insidious Stargoons. What worries me is the description of the android that we were given matches the description of Saizomaru... Whom I have not seen anywhere since that attack on Central City."
Alas, before they could say much more, the Makaimorph’s attention pivoted to the power he sensed approaching. Soon enough, a Saiyan woman would barge right in. Voltex’s helmet visor sparked to show annoyance, and they were about to let loose a verbal lashing, but Makaimorph cast a stern glare, the white purifying flame under his own helmet’s visor swirled as a warning. "At ease, I am sure there is a reason for this intrusion." If anyone had real cause to be annoyed about it, it would be Carro. As such, the duo would let Carro handle this as he saw fit. Otherwise, they allowed the newcomer to speak... What ended up being brought to the table was utterly dreadful. There was a very brief clash recently, an outpouring of demonic energy. Makaimorph thought intensely for a moment, only to be cut off from a breakthrough as the female Saiyan spoke to him. "Ah— As much as it is appreciated, I do not see the need for an apology. You are acting in good faith. A threat of the magnitude that you have described is something that we should all be aware of going forward."

CARRO's PL: 100 | LEO's PL: 2,880,000 (x16P // 180k BASE)
Carro held back a laugh in response to Voltex's brief comment. LEO's own snort escaped the speakers on the side of her pilot's helmet. Still, he returned to his professional self soon enough to reassure Makaimorph and his partner. "O-oh, it's fine! If you ask me, even a little energy makes these types of meetings a lot more bearable." A little joy worked wonders to ease the tense aura of these life-or-death types of things.
The time for small talk was over as soon as they entered the President's office, though. Makaimorph gave him a blast to the past with the mention of Banzo. Carro narrowed his eyes in thought, not recognizing the name for a moment before the memories returned. "Ah, right. That." The incident had to have been over a year ago. Carro shuddered, remembering the crushing pain of the Oozaru nearly squeezing him to death.
Then there was the issue with Sensoa and Saizomaru. Carro's tail twitched at the demon's name. He looked away and grimaced, but returned his attention at the mention of Saizomaru. "I was wondering where Saizomaru was, but it seems we both don't have answers..." Carro sighed. "At the time, I had managed to pacify Sensoa. Things have... changed since, though." The implication that the demon could have added another body to his pile made Carro's stomach churn. "Regardless, to return to the prior matter, I will be sure to let the Kingdom officials know as soon as I--"
"............" "...Speak of the devil." Carro froze as he heard the office door swing open, followed by a familiar voice. He shot a glance to the two Pride Troopers, a mixture of bewilderment and annoyance evident on his face as if to say 'can you believe this?' There was a reason why unscheduled appointments were his biggest pet peeve. He turned to Nashua with a frown. "You're intruding upon a scheduled appointment." He sighed, irritation fading soon enough. "I believe you still have my Scouter contact. Next time, please at least send me a message five or so minutes in advance." Surely, this had to be very important if it lead her to interrupt. He nodded in response to Makaimorph's initial response.
Nashua spoke, relaying the horrific news of Tarch's death to the President. He glanced away, expression turned somber. "...I am already aware. You have my sincerest condolences for the loss. It's a cruel fate that child did nothing to deserve." Sorrow bled from his voice, but an ireful rumble remained beneath. "I know who the killer is, and I'm doing what I can to find him and end this before more perish. Why, we just mentioned the demon that killed him..." He trailed off and glanced back to Makaimorph, unblinking. Carro remained silent to let his words and realization sink into the captain. They had only mentioned one demon- the very same who tried to usurp the President's rule and thrust the planet into darkness. If it wasn't clear already to his guests, Carro would say it straight. "It was Sensoa."
Carro clenched his fist. He wanted to list his growing complaints to the Kingdom. He was assured that they would keep their people in line. Kayen said they would protect Earth if they solidified an alliance, but could he trust the Kingdom to protect his home if they couldn't even defend the Earth from their own people? He shook his head. Complaints later. First and foremost, there was a monster to slay and a planet to protect.

Nashua still had Carro's number? Her brows briefly furrowed as she scrolled through her list of contacts and indeed found the name under 'K' as 'Karro'. ...That was how it was spelled, right? Still, he didn't seem to mind too much. And he was clearly aware of how urgent the situation was. He also seemed to have information regarding the hybrid's killer. "You know who did it?" Nashua eagerly asked. She'd run into most of the strongest warriors the galaxy had to offer herself, by this point, so she had a feeling that whatever name Carro mentioned would be one that stuck out in her mind as someone she knew. However, she still found herself surprised when Carro said the name. "Wait... Sensoa?" she asked in slight disbelief. "Like... The Demon? But he's just a big, fuzzy pushover!" He'd been quite utterly passive and kind the last time Nashua had bumped into him, going so far as to offer to repair her ship for free.
Something just didn't seem right about Carro's deduction. "I mean, I don't doubt he'd have the power to do something like this," Nashua added with a scratch to the side of her head. "But he's just so... Passive. And he's technically a part of the Kingdom, too. So forgive me if I don't believe you right off the bat." What motive would he even have to go and kill Tarch? The young Earthling was rather closely affiliated with the Kingdom in a completely positive manner. It wasn't like he'd ever really gone against them in any fashion. "There's got to be some kind of mistake about that," Nashua further insisted with a nod of her head. Earth typically seemed to be home to the 'good guys', generally speaking, but even it had its own little groups of villainy scattered about.
"It has to have been one of those other evil organizations based here," Nashua suggested after another moment of thought. "Off the top of my head, I only really know of two, but there's a good chance they've been building their powers since I last met any of them." Nashua pulled herself up a chair and sat down in it, as she had a feeling this discussion might be lasting a while. "First, there's the Star Goons. We had run ins with them back on Namek, and if I remember right, they're based here on Earth. If they all worked together, there's no doubt they could've overpowered Tarch." They seemed like rather likely candidates to Nashua, but there was still the other organization.
"The other group I think is likely responsible is a group of terrorists that call themselves the pride Troopers," she stated, "I've had a few run ins with them myself, here on Earth. One of them nearly killed me while I was hunting the Dragon Balls, and another tried to kill my friend and blow up the home of the Dragon Balls' creator." She glanced down at her feet and bit her lip as she further added, "And... They also killed a mentor of mine a while back. They've been dormant for a while now, but this could be them striking again." She then looked back up and glanced between Carro and his guest. "Do you two have any leads on those?"

"Well, might I ask why exactly you are all suited up..?" Makaimorph fell silent moments later when Voltex’s boisterous attitude was encouraged. Oh no. He could easily feel the electrified playful smugness radiating from his comrade as they slowly looked from the president and over to their leader. "Ahaaaaah, now what did I tell ya, Captain? You really gotta loosen up a bunch sometimes, yanno!" Voltex said with a snicker.
"Please," With a dissatisfied grumble, Makaimorph took a deep breath. "Voltex you know precisely how dreadful I am with being informal." Though if Carro and even LEO saw nothing wrong with it, then there was no harm done here, Makaimorph supposed. As such; he simply elected to leave the subject be for now, there were more pressing matters at hand.
It came as no surprise to the Pride Troopers that Carro had adverse reactions to several names mentioned; the man dealt with them directly, and it seemed little to none of those encounters were good. "I must apologise for bringing Banzo up, but it is as I said, those that are without enough information, or those that simply act on nothing more than bias, assume the worst of that situation— and when they do, it could cause more chaos." Even so, chaos was something those gathered were no stranger to at this point.
As for Saizomaru; Makaimorph couldn’t help but shake his head in utter disappointment. Even Voltex’s vibe turned sour as they gruffly folded their arms, tiny jolts of electricity tracing across said arms for a moment. The ‘lone wolf’ attitude exhibited by the android was annoying enough on it’s own; but in hindsight the Makaimorph was in no way surprised given their chance few interactions and what little Koban mentioned. If anything particularly unsavory about Saizomaru came up soon, Makaimorph had the thought to eject him from the Pride Troopers outright.
Sensoa on the other hand... Well, it was certainly a different topic of discussion all things considered. Carro mentioned the demon was pacified, only to fall back into his destructive ways. It came as no surprise to the Pride Troopers, and Voltex spoke up, curious as to what Carro meant, just in case the President had some other valuable information. "Changed? How d’you mean exactly? As far as we know, he’s only ever been some chaotic punk hellbent on breakin’ stuff ‘just cuz’." Voltex punctuated his inquiry with air quotes in a rather sassy manner.
Before any further discussion was to be had however, someone else had of course barged in. Luckily, Makaimorph had pacified Voltex and the two deferred to Carro’s judgement. The two looked between each other and back to Carro. Even though their actual expressions were concealed by the armor they wore, their body language spoke enough.
Carro, surprisingly, seemed quite sure as to who Tarch’s murderer was. Unfortunately, it was just as Makaimorph was about to anticipate earlier— Sensoa. So that must have been what Carro meant by things changing. Both the Makaimorph and Voltex held a similar, if not identical sentiment to Carro having heard this information, but despite clenched fists they tried to keep their cool as well.
When the Saiyan woman responded however, it became increasingly difficult for the Makaimorph to do so however. Clearly, she did not know Sensoa that well, or at all for that matter. Trying to remain polite, the Makaimorph allowed the Saiyan woman to speak her piece while making an effort to center himself so that he could respond both professionally and with as little animosity as possible. Carro likely had his own thoughts on each matter, but the Makaimorph was not going to go unheard. Now, where to begin?
"There is no mistake. Sensoa has been confirmed as being at the center of several events as of late. The destruction of Muscle tower that has left a mark of dark magic on the land, a recent attempt at an attack on Central City where he reportedly hired the Stargoons as his lackeys, and now the coldblooded murder of a young man. I would not be surprised in the least if the Stargoons assisted him in doing such a callous thing either. As far as we know, the Stargoons have gone quiet, no doubt biding their time."
As for her thoughts on the Pride Troopers? Well, that was understandably awkward to deal with considering who she just admitted her thoughts to. "As for the Pride Troopers, you are looking at the recently appointed leader. We are an alliance that defends the innocent, and we stand against villainy; and we do so without the need for recognition. Now if some are operating outside of these rules leading you to think otherwise, I am willing to discuss the details of your claims— and should they ring true or I am otherwise convinced of their validity, these alleged individuals will suffer immediate reprimanding and expulsion from the group— but, forgive me if I do not believe you immediately." Makaimorph had to admit though, some recent recruits had pretty noticeable flaws, but this woman’s claims were pretty out there, and seemed a tad hypocritical. "As far as much of the Earth populace is concerned, the Saiyan Kingdom are the terrorists here." He stated, a light emerging from within his visor; the telltale signs of a Scouter’s hologram feature. He brought up multiple reports from across hundreds of information sources citing various events. Two in particular; one in West City and another in Central City. Both were awkward to bring up in a way; as the first described someone vaguely like the Saiyan woman herself was involved, and the second... Was where not one, but two mentors perished. One was hers, and the other was Makaimorph’s. Next, he brought up multiple reports on the more recent event, Sensoa's attack on Central City. The public information on all of these remained displayed until the point was made, regardless of the response. Eventually, the Makaimorph turned off the hologram projector before speaking again. "I am not going to claim that the group now under my leadership is perfect. To do so is naive and unbefitting of a leader. As I said, if you speak the truth, I shall act accordingly and promptly remove unsavoury or unqualified individuals from it. However, if you yourself turn a blind eye to the flaws of your own allies or faction, then I do not know what to tell you. It seems to me that we should all be a fair bit more critical of those we trust."
