Finally... She had finally gotten rid of those shackles from the Guru, finally escaped and managed to get rid of those cages that were constantly being put around her. No longer would she be caged, no longer would she be frozen in place and kept from being allowed to move. Now she was finally back home, The Realm of Demons. Now that she was finally freed, it was time to place her claim on this land, to mark herself as a Ruler and not just some pawn. As she touched down in the front of the entrance she smiled, she knew not exactly where this portal went just yet but... This was clearly a portal to another dimension or realm, the perfect spot for her to situate herself. As she extended her hands outwards with her palms up she smiled, allowing the flow of demonic magic to escape from her body, mingling with the air around her and causing the energies to magnify themselves. She would build her castle right here. She began to slowly lift into the air, allowing the energies to flow from her and arc out into lightning, striking into the ground and ripping up large chunks of the rocky soil and ripping them out of the ground. As she floated upwards, the bricks followed suit to come with her, tearing up the landscape around her violently in order to obtain the materials to build her castle... her magnum opus. There was nobody who knew she was alive aside from three people now, and who would believe any of them that she was actually alive? She doubted that even Sensoa knew she was alive, and in fact would be quite surprised if anyone outside of those three believed she truly lived still. But that was neither here nor there, No this moment was all about her and only her. Nobody else mattered. "This all belongs to me now!" She grinned as she flexed her muscles, causing the large chunks she'd been ripping up to begin forming together, smashing into each other and causing them to break apart and reshape themselves into various pillars and monuments to her own glorious new reign that was about to be imposed upon this land... This realm. Sure nobody else would see her castle, well... nobody that mattered anyway, but that wasn't the point. The point was that with the establishment of this castle, she established herself into a seat of power.

Thread PL: 100,000 | Item(s): Scouter
It was a peculiar thing, the Demon Realm.
The so-called land of blood and chaos, wherein unrestrained fury and power were the rulers and everything 'good' considered worthless. A utopia for the likes of Sensoa; The bastard Demon had snapped after the apparent death of his apprentice. Even before then his goals in conquering Central City on Earth were much the same. Strong rule the weak dogma and enforcement. Catch 22 logic, enforced by raw unrestrained evil. And this damnable place was also apparently at least partially responsible for the 'goon booms' that the Stargoons drew upon. Of course as a Saiyan, she didn't necessarily need to facilitate her power through other means. It was less out of a lust for power and more out of obligation that she came here.
She wasn't afraid of the locals. Most of them, at least.
Even at her measly Power Level of one hundred thousand max, most of the rabble would be easily dispersed beneath her boot without having to exert any actual energy. It was this raw power that saw her travel from the entrance portal deeper in relatively undisturbed. The hostile gazes and stares slid from her like rainwater on a coat, a mix of jealously, hatred, and pure psychosis driving the Demons around her. Yet they didn't attack... not yet, at least. Whether it was from respect or wariness related to her strength, Amara would never know. Her mission, vaguely worded as 'finding the source' was not off to a great start either.
It turns out looking for something that she has no idea of the looks, location, or feel was very very hard. Like finding a needle in a haystack the size of Earth itself. Difficult but not impossible. Ignoring the blood red skies, swirling clouds, and hostile denizens - the Demon Realm was relatively peaceful. She had expected a lot more... murder? Violence? Chaos? Just something. To be fair, Amara at least knew she was skirting the edge of the bottom - somewhere near the dimensional barrier to (purportedly) Hell itself. How lovely. Her brand new scouter - integrated into the facial mask that her suit came with - was going bonkers with all the power disturbances around her.
Amara grumbled as she fiddled with the device, knowing she should've set it to not Earth default settings. Scanning for humans above the norm basically meant every Demon and their Grandma would show up on her scanner - making it one big cluttered mess. A rumble distracted the Saiyaness - the entire rocky floor seeming to shake and moan as distant crashing could be heard in the distance. Probably par for the course, and Amara simply assumed it was part of the Demon Realm's natural processes... if it had any. Finished adjusting her scouter, the mercenary strapped it back on - the device merrily chirping at her.
Had it been her old scouter, the one long since broken on Namek, it might've detected a familiar signature. This one did not.
The sheer size of it off-put her a bit, Amara double checking to make sure it was reading correctly. If the thing wasn't miscalibrated, then there certainly was a Demon with an extraordinarily high Power Level not too far from here. Potentially the source of the disturbance as well - and seeing the land changing from rock and rubble to... rails and structures was odd indeed. A few were small, impossibly so, yet in the distance where the land parted and flattened she could see the slow rise of a structure emerging. It even came complete with its' own separate light show and sound effects, too! Logic said to simply walk away, but Amara knew that logic was not this realm's specialty. It could very well be that her destination was just around the corner from her, and turning back would squander it.
Shrugging, Amara flew - increasing her speed so as to arrive within moments later. A quick landing and glance up revealed a sight which temporarily stunned the Saiyan into silence. The familiar clothes, the uptick in power, could it possibly be? "Kitiana." Amara called out neutrally, tapping the side of her helmet to retract the facial mask inward. "You lucky bastard. I thought that green dude had actually built up the courage to kill someone, but it appears not." Of course if this wasn't who she thought it was, they would be very, very confused. In such a case, Amara could probably just ice them herself to avoid the shame for later.

Things were proceeding apace, quickly the rocks were ripped from the land and reshaped to her will. The denizens of this realm knew better than to approach such a mind bogging powerful being such as herself right now, and for good reason! With much of the land being reshaped by her sheer force of will it would be unwise for any to approach without them being just as powerful if not more. So when she felt a familiar energy signature but slightly stronger than last time she couldn't help but smirk, though admittedly by the time the entity arrived... She had just expected a more violent entrance. The fact that Amara not only hadn't attacked her immediately, but also had just addressed her like nothing was wrong honestly surprised her. Having taken her tail she expected Amara to come charging in and try to punch her or something, but the Saiyan was surprisingly calm about the whole ordeal. Was it a trick? Or was she being genuine?
"I must admit, I didn't expect to sense a saiyan of all things here." She said, not even turning to face Amara as she continued to construct her castle. "Oboe is too soft, Such a weakling Namekian couldn't kill me even if he tried. He expects reform, remission, guilt, all those things that make a bad girl turn good. All the things that she tried to force upon me while she locked me away." Multiple bolts of the chaotic magic energy struck down near Amara, carving out large chunks both near and far. The structure just kept growing larger and larger, an enormous foundation larger than any on Earth or Namek, and possibly even Vegeta itself. "Tell me, Saiyan, Do you intend on trying to finish what you started? If not then why is one of your kind here? This is a place for my kind, not yours." She was genuinely curious about this, Amara was not a Demon. She was a Saiyan. She had no magic, she couldn't use it and honestly it was a surprise just the fact that she even managed to get to this realm in the first place... Undoubtedly she had help from someone.
Her hands slowly lowered to her side, the large chunks of rock still floating around her as she turned in the air to face Amara. "Without your tail, I struggle to find it even fair if you are trying to finish what that pathetic Namekian couldn't. In this realm my power is far greater than it was outside of it, There isn't a single creature here who can match my strength." She raised a single hand above her head as she stared down at Amara. There was no venom in her voice, no hatred or animosity. No it was actually, and perhaps surprisingly, curiosity. Why would a Saiyan of all creatures come here... To a place where they're at a distinct and very large disadvantage. Amara wasn't a Super Saiyan, she didn't have a tail anymore, and as far as Kitiana knew she wasn't powerful enough to become a Super Saiyan. The only two she'd seen had power levels that far surpassed anything that Amara had right now in their base forms.

Despite her own calm entrance, Amara had half-expected Kitiana to treat her with immediate hostility. After all, when the two had last met Amara had almost vaporized her (with the help of Ochra) and then the Demon sliced her tail clean off. Instead she kept on, constructing something that started to resemble more than just a pile of rocks. Morphing into its' intended shape bit by bit, piece by piece. "You'd be surprised at how tenacious us monkeys can get." Amara replied easily. "Or not, seeing as how your run in with a few of us usually ended in them entering golden hair mode at the most inconvenient times." Unperturbed by the sudden shift of magic tearing apart the land directly around her, Amara kept her casual demeanor.
"That much is obvious. His heart was too weak to actually put down the thing that wears the body of his former student. He had honestly fooled me for a second, with that massive blast and smoke cloud... though I guess that was partially due to my scouter malfunctioning." Some of Kitiana's words didn't connect with the Saiyaness. "You keep referring to a 'her'. I'm not really an expert on the whole being a demon thing, but..." Amara squinted, watching closely as the castle continued to form around them. "It mostly just seems like its' you. The real you, and not whatever facade had been crafted before the Namek Incident." Shrugging, she continued. "Could be wrong though."
"Mmm no. Hunting you down wasn't high on my bucket list, seeing as I thought you were actually dead. I came here on Stargoon business... something rather about the actual 'leader' Maple being a Demon too, and drawing power from the realm or something. To be blunt I'm not fond of wandering this literal hellhole, but I continue to do so out of loyalty to my new comrades rather than out of desire." Stepping a bit closer, Amara allowed herself to rise into the air - no longer having to worry about the floor collapsing beneath her.
Craning her neck, the Saiyan hummed for a moment as she considered further response. "Let me put it this way. I was already pissed for external reasons when arriving on Namek, and then I show up to see Ochra - one of the only people I give a damn about - enraged and shellshocked. Combine that with the primal fury of a giant monkey and you get the Amara you saw then. Just like the rest of the damn Saiyans: a hot-headed, violent, stupid mess of a warrior." She sneered as she spoke, not directed at Kitiana but seemingly at the mere mention of her own species. "So to re-iterate, I have no intention to try and kill you for petty revenge."
"...Heh, I'd be lying though if I said I wouldn't like to fight you at least." Amara admitted. "I honestly have no idea what you're doing here besides just building a damn palace, and I don't really intend to stop you from doing so." Aura flaring gently, the Saiyan crossed her arms mid-air. "You said back on Namek that I wasn't worthy of the power I wielded. Maybe you were right. And if you are, allow me to prove myself now." It wasn't Kitiana's approval she sought, but rather a test. Last they had met the Demon was weakened by a Shinjin, and Amara had expended all her energy prior. "If this realm truly does make you stronger, then I accept that too."

Amara had the right of it for sure, that damn golden hair had been a very serious inconvenience. Had Ochra not arrived, she'd of finished Oboe off and then slaughtered the rest of the Namekians in that damned village. Alas she was thwarted for the moment. Amara simply agreed with how foolish Oboe truly was, though did admit that she was fooled when her scouter malfunctioned. Did that mean she couldn't sense ki? Well that was very interesting... She hadn't met anyone as powerful as they were that couldn't. But for the first time, someone made comment about who she was referring too, specifically about 'her'. She was surprised nobody before had, though assumed that most everyone there probably had a clue. But this was the first time anyone had mentioned it or asked about it.
"I'll tell you this, the one I'm referring too, 'her', it's the one who kept ME caged for so many years. All of you know 'her' as Kitiana, I am both 'her' and not 'her'. You could call me what 'she' always truly was. It's a bit hard to explain to someone who has not experienced the repression and cage that was forced upon me." She didn't expect Amara to understand, how could she? She never struggled with being locked away for almost two decades. "I will congratulate you though Amara, You're the first to figure out who 'she' is." She gave her a slight clap as she stepped a bit forward and began to rise as she spoke again.
She confirmed what Kitiana had already suspected, everyone thought Oboe had killed her. A soft chuckle escaping her lips for a brief moment... until she heard that name. Her eyebrows fell flat on her face, her entire demeanor changing. Kitiana had been looking for him, to try and figure out a way to cage her for good. "Maple... I see. I find it interesting that you now ally yourself with him... though I cannot explain why." Amara went on to essentially explain why she hated her own race, hot-headed and brainless 'warriors'. Afterwards she admitted she did want to fight, and even brought up what she had said before about being unworthy of her own power and challenged her right here and now, to be able to prove herself. A smirk came across her face "Well... I didn't expect a challenge to come out, let alone one so friendly. Though admittedly I am currently building my own palace, If I denied you the chance to prove yourself worthy of that power then I'd be an unworthy judge."
Once again her arms raised half way, palms facing upwards. "Very well, Amara, I accept your challenge. Let us see if you can force my full power out!" With that she thrust both hands forward, a multitude of various sized rocks flying forward towards Amara at a staggeringly fast speed. "Come, Amara! Prove yourself worthy against my blade!"

"There's no point in being a dick about it." Amara said simply. "We had our scuffle in the past. It's over. And despite what you may think I didn't care terribly much about that tail - more of a liability than a strength." It was true, too. Even after she had trained away the instant paralysis brought on by someone giving the thing a hard enough tug, she rarely ever used Oozaru. "I used the form of a Great Ape approximately twice over the last thirty years. And they were both in rapid succession. Damn thing was holding me down rather than empowering me sometimes, I swear." Kitiana congratulated her on actually guessing correctly on the mysterious female the Demon alluded to constantly, and Amara almost laughed.
Did seriously nobody else figure it out? It didn't seem that confusing... well, to her at least. She couldn't truly understand what it'd be like to suppress the feelings and desires of bred demonic wants, but Amara at least had some experience dealing with refusing herself things shes' wanted before. Bloody things, amoral things. "You know Maple?" The Saiyan said curiously. "I haven't actually met the guy. Despite being the quote unquote 'leader' of the group, Mumbo does all the legwork nowadays. Not that it bothers me, but..." It was then followed up by her explicitly stating now was not the time nor place for her to divulge why or how, so Amara simply accepted it.
Amara's right eyebrow raised slightly, a thing smile crossing her lips. "My thanks then that you're taking time out of your busy schedule to do so." It wasn't mocking nor patronizing, merely a play-along with how Kitiana had established it. In short order, the Demon was quick to start an assault. With the wave of a hand and a flourish of energy, boulders and rocks both sharp and blunt came flying towards her, Amara responding quickly by grabbing a small, hand-sized stick at her belt. With the press of a button, it activated, extending to pole-arm length as a crackling blade of energy formed into a curved tip on either side. Wasting no time, Amara cleaved through the first few stone projectiles sent at her, the energy scythe making quick work as it cleanly split them in two.
Eventually the barrage became slightly too much to keep up with, Amara flipping through the air and allowing herself to fall atop one of the boulders, quickly leaping from target to target in a raw display of speed. A few nicked the sides of her new armor, the metal scratching slightly but otherwise not buckling even from the magically-enhanced edges. Spinning her weapon fast enough to cause a blur, Amara released a rear-handed crescent blade of power from it, cutting through the air as it rapidly approached Kitiana.

Admittedly, Kitiana wasn't going to give Amara a lot of time for their fight... If one could call it that. However, she wasn't going to turn her down. Kitiana simply smirked as she watched, it wouldn't matter what happened to the stone... She could simply reform it into whatever she needed. It came as a slight surprise when she pulled out what at first appeared to be a bo staff of some kind, only for it to have an energy-formed blade to appear. A smirk crossing her face as Amara charged forward, Kit taking a few moments to ponder a response. Ultimately she did not deem her worthy of her sword just yet, so instead her left arm would raise, the bracelet appearing for a brief moment to surround her arm with her own energy. Her hand raising to grasp the energetic blade with her hand, her right arm behind her back as she smirked. "A good blade, if a tad predictable."
She pushed the blade away before bringing her right arm forward, aiming to slam it right into Amara's face as a trail of purple energy whizzed behind it. While she'd of loved to break that scouter, Amara had taken it off. So instead she'd have to settle for breaking Amara's nose instead. Her left arm coming forward shortly after as she began to unleash a flurry of blows against Amara, wanting to test how good she was with that scythe and just how durable that new fancy suit of armor she wore was.

The buzzing blade hissed violently as sparks let loose when Kitiana blocked the weapon, energy erratically spraying the short distance to the Demon's hand but with little initial effect - her blanket of Ki protecting her. As it was shoved aside Amara temporarily de-activated the weapon, shrinking back down to a handheld size as the counter-attack the Saiyan expected finally came. Kitiana's other arm shot forward, glowing wickedly with demonic energy as it made course straight for her face. The Demon still had the speed advantage thanks to the gap in strength due to her transforming, and so Amara couldn't hope to effectively fully dodge the blow, her aura spiking as a thin sheen of golden energy quickly formed in response, seeking to soften the blow she was about to receive.
Of course, as the mercenary had expected, the barrier didn't hold - buckling under the sheer force but luckily diminishing most of the built-up energy along the way. Amara's face scrunched as Kitiana's face connected with it, head snapping back and Amara taking the opportunity to gain a little distance as she brought her hand up to rub the injury. Thanks to her reaction nothing was broken, but it was bleeding... and hurt like hell. The Saiyan growled on instinct, re-igniting her scythe and glaring at Kitiana. Not in an overtly hostile manner so much as a 'you just punched me' manner. Even as 'casual' as Amara claimed to be, it was hard-coded into Saiyan genes to not take a hit like that lying down.
"Ow." She said bluntly, eyes narrowing as she took a moment to survey the situation. Amara was far, far from done - to quit now would be an insult to Kitiana and a waste of her own time. A spark of suppressed rage coursed through her veins as the mercenary soothed it, reminding her bloodthirsty body that this was a 'no kill' spar. The power gap between them was clearly evident, and Amara knew that if Kitiana infused herself with even more Demonic energy, she could be pushed higher. Yet the Saiyan did not buckle under this threat, having finally decided her next plan of attack - albeit as simple as it was.
Without her scouter, Amara noticed nothing amidst the rush of battle - but a sudden surge would be all too noticeable to Kitiana. For a fleeting moment, a rush of gold flared through the Saiyan's hair - gone in the blink of an eye as if it had never happened to begin with. Amara felt and said nothing, simply deciding to rear her arm back and shoot a couple of basic Ki blasts at the Demon as to not expend all her energy at once. And for a few seconds, impossibly, power coursed through Amara - the golden discs of energy seemingly stronger than what should be possible.
"No Shinjin around to weaken you now." Amara snarked right after her barrage. "And you've gotten stronger since then overall, it seems."

Kitiana smirked, Amara had smartly moved backwards away from her after the initial blow so as to avoid the follow-up attacks. Her attack hadn't done as much damage as she wanted sadly, a barrier seemed to have brought itself back up to shield herself just in time unfortunately. It was curious that she had sheathed her scythe instead of continuing to use it however, and honestly Kitiana wondered why. "Not going to use your blade anymore?" Her eyes narrowed towards the girl "You used it when I threw a bunch of rocks at you, but not when you're face to face with me? Tch..." Honestly part of Kitiana felt personally attacked by her sheathing it, it wasn't like she used her arms to block the attack after all.
But the surge didn't go unnoticed, nor did the flare of gold. This caused her face to go nearly completely neutral, her battle stance dropping as she hovered in the air with her arms at her side. Whether or not Amara noticed... Whether or not she actually had that opportunity... Was it something she was willing to risk? Considering what had happened last time, the answer was a loud resounding, No. However, she wouldn't immediately just end this. As the hand reared back, Kitiana's left arm rose, the bracelet and appendages appearing and rapidly extending outwards, causing a small amount of demonic energy to rise up in front of her as the Ki Blasts were sent towards her. She took note of how much more powerful she was for a brief moment, something akin to her own slight power increase. But it didn't last for long and vanished nearly as quickly as it had came.
"Yeah it's something like that..." She said with a grin, Her right arm raised in front of her as the barrier and bracelet vanished, her left arm moving behind her as she moved back into her fighting stance. It seemed Amara didn't notice the rise in her own power for a moment... interesting. "It's more like my power is finally being released, believe you me the next time I leave this place I'll be far stronger than what you see now." Her left arm reached up towards the hilt of the blade sheathed on her back, grasping it for a moment as the purple energy within her left arm pulsed. "Let's see just how much power you have hiding away, shall we?" Kitiana didn't like when her opponents held back their strength, but she had noted that Amara didn't noticed it before.
Part of her didn't wish to bring her blade into this, and as of yet she had still yet to draw it from its sheath. But after a few more moments of thinking she did it, pulling the blade from its sheath and igniting it in dark purple flames. Holding the blade behind her with her right arm still outstretched in front of her, her right palm opening as she smirked towards Amara before motioning for Amara to come at her.

"I prefer to mix up my combat style." Amara replied casually, hand twirling the currently inert handle of the scythe. "Plus I'm still getting to used to trying to handle the damn thing in CQC, and you don't seem like the opponent to go testing stuff on." There hadn't been a great deal of opportunities to practice with it, after all, and Kitiana was one of the first people to actually be on the receiving end. Dummys in a training room could only amount to so much after all. Her use of the weapon on the rocks was two-fold: It served a both a test of the functionality and the conservation of bodily energy. Amara couldn't throw away all her power this early on, especially against an opponent with a power lead.
Suddenly, Kit paused - the Demon's demeanor shifting in an instant. If Amara didn't know any better, she could've mistaken the sudden movement as... caution? That couldn't be right though, perhaps it was another cause. As quick as it had come, it was over - Kitiana raising her arms as more foul energy coursed through her. The blasts Amara had sent her way were quickly swept aside, the Saiyan growing increasingly wary as her attacks failed to do much to Kitiana whatsoever. Her weapon extended, vibrant blade re-appearing in a crackle of energy. "I don't doubt it. I'd make the same promise, but it seems my own progress is dictate by my body's whims." Amara frowned slightly, tapping her chin with her free hand.
"One day I can shoot up a much as a thousand, the next nothing happens at all. It's almost like some 'dormant' power is trapped beneath me and I can't dig it out." The Saiyaness paused, slight confusion evident on her face for a moment. "I'm not holding back on you." Amara said firmly. "I may not be using my most powerful move right off the bat - but I certainly aren't pulling any punches I do throw your way." Perhaps it had something to do with the Demon's earlier pause, though Amara couldn't fathom what it was. "Trust me," The mercenary snorted. "I'm no Super Saiyan, unlike Ochra." Interrupted by the appearance of a flaming sword, Amara readied herself once more, holding her own weapon tightly in response.
Unfortunately, Kitiana seemed determined to make Amara come at her instead of the other way around. Doing so gave Kitiana the luxury of defense rather than offense, a somewhat trivial task if she properly utilized her strength advantage against the Saiyan. Still, Amara would not go all-in with a massive attack against this - fully aware of how stupid that plan of action would be. Gripping her scythe halfway up the shaft to make the weapon a bit shorter, a burst of energy sent her flying straight towards the waiting Demon - a quick series of slashes coming to greet Kitiana as Amara begrudgingly went on the offensive.

Amara's words confirmed her suspicion, she was totally unaware of what had just happened. Was it just a fluke? Thinking back on what had happened to the other Saiyan before he transformed it couldn't be a fluke. Ochra had flown into a blind fury when it happened to him, and admittedly he would've killed her had it not been for Sensoa's timely intervention. But just as Kitiana had assumed, Amara further confirmed she was not in fact a Super Saiyan. So what was the difference? Was it just mere power? Was Amara simply not strong enough to become one? Or was there more to it? So many questions she had, yet nobody here had the answers to any of them. Thankfully Amara didn't keep her waiting long however, surging forth to attack her. The blade itself coming to meet each strike from the scythe, several blows coming close to Kitiana but never connecting with her. The closest any of them came forced her to shove the blade upwards, causing it to scrape against her blade. Sparks of energy were sent scattering across as Kitiana smoothly slipped underneath the slice, doing a quick twirl in mid-air before bringing her blade forward to try and slice into Amara's armor. There was little more energy than what coated her blade however, not like the fist she had slammed into Amara's face just a few moments ago. Their battle causing flashes of light to erupt in the sky all around where her castle's foundation had been laid out, sparks and streaks of energy tearing through the sky with each clash of their blades. Amara wasn't a sinple push over, while her skill with such an unruly weapon wasn't as proficient as her own skill with a sword her combat prowess helped to give skill and precision to her strikes. It was rather surprising all things considered, even if her strikes never really came that close to striking her. Kitiana remained defensive however, keeping an eye on Amara and her aura, looking for that tale tale flash of gold once more. She didn't want to have to deal with another Super Saiyan already, and at the first sign of it she was going to end this skirmish of theirs. While Amara was a skilled combatant, she wasn't truly worthy of Kitiana's full power... Not unless she posed an actual threat. She wondered about that flash more and more however, her power level hadn't spiked into the millions like Ochra's had, it had mere doubled. What could it mean? Either way it wasn't time for her to stay defensive the entire time, no it was time to take the offensive. With a clash of their blades, Kitiana held it there, keeping them within close proximity as the scythe came slicing towards her side. Both blades pressed against each other as sparks flew out. "I will say this one compliment to you as a warrior, I'm glad a simple strike doesn't kill you." With that she brought her blade forward, in an upward arc to slice across Amara's chest with even greater power than her initial strike had. She was going to test Amara's reflexes the most, just how far was she going to be pushed before that flash came back?

She didn't make progress with her initial assault, though Amara wasn't holding her breath and banking on it to work. The Saiyan was more surprised that she was able to effectively force Kitiana to actually utilize her own weapon to block and parry. It was the difference between a longer life of pure combat in general, and a shorter life of practice with a specific weapon. The hostile hiss of her blade met the flames of Kitiana's own sword, technology and magic clashing together in an awesome display as flashes of light danced across the darkened sky of the Demon Realm. The two were silent, only the sparks and hum of their clash making any sound between them as they fought to a standstill for a moment.
Kitiana was the first to break it, a quick flick of the girl's weapon arcing the blade straight towards her chest. Imbued with demonic energy, there was a good chance that her armor wouldn't hold up - and even her backup layer of Ki underneath, it would hurt like all hell to get nicked by it. This attack wasn't as powerful as the raw punch Kitiana had hit her with early, probably serving as the Demon testing the waters for something. Leaning backwards ever so slightly mid-fight, Amara managed to avoid the main slice of the sword, the weapon halting for but a moment against her enhanced metallic plating before slowly but surely creating a cut through it.
A painful sting resonated through Amara's torso as the Saiyan hissed, the wound mostly superficial as her defenses served her well in blanketing the damage from the attack. The pair continued to clash, back and forth, to and fro, until once more it was interrupted. With a heave, the two weapons stood stock still, straining against the other as the Saiyan and Demon were both determined to not lose this battle. "I'm glad, too." Amara replied cheekily. "Otherwise this would be both boring for you and a humiliation for me!" A sudden burst of movement, though, caught the Saiyan off guard. Kitiana launched another attack, this one far more potent than the last... even more than her initial strike!
Caught off guard and with such a powerful move encroaching her, Amara's composure slipped for but a second - the telltale flash of a dirty gold shining through her hair, aura growing more yellow and clear as her power surged once more. The Saiyan felt little more than a tingle again, not truly recognizing what was happening as she stuck a ki-coated hand out to stop the blade in it's tracks. The effort like last time wasn't wholly successful, some of the energy leaking through and scorching the palm of her hand. Despite having lasted longer than before, the power faded once more - Amara attempting to toss the sword along with Kitiana to the side to gain a few seconds of free time.

Kitiana was genuinely enjoying the fight, being able to have a good one-on-one was exciting. Her saiyan heritage was part of the reason that Amara was being treated with such fairness. Had she been a fully fledged Demon, Amara likely would've been killed with her full power by this point. She admitted that falling here too quickly would be a humiliation for her. Her first attack had landed, managing to slice into the armor a decent ways before Amara got away from it. Her second, far more powerful attack, however, triggered exactly what she had suspected.
That flash of gold showed itself once more, and though it lasted longer it did eventually fade and her power still didn't grow as high as a true Super Saiyan. Kitiana allowed herself to be moved, in fact even going with it as Amara created space for herself. A slight nod as she spoke "Interesting display..." She twirled her blade for a moment, her eyes narrowing at Amara. 'Her power... It's only flashes, and it's nothing close to a true Super Saiyan.' Admittedly she wasn't sure what was happening with Amara herself, was it part of the power of a Super Saiyan? Were they able to tap into bits of it if they weren't strong enough but close? She needed to wait for more energy to come back to her first.
She knew what to do the next time she had the energy, she knew how to force that power out of her. "Tell me, Why did you challenge me? I get the feeling it wasn't to actually prove anything... At least not to me." She knew Amara was holding back more power, she was flashing it briefly every so often. But Amara wasn't even aware it was happening, was it the same for Ochra? was he even aware of the power he was using when he was using it? "Also, I have a question about that other Saiyan from before, the one who did go Super Saiyan. Does he remember it at all? Or is it all a blur to him in his memory?" The physical battle might've been paused for the moment... But the mental one still raged.

Running a finger along the crack in her armor, Amara raised it to her face to see a thin trail of blood coating the tip of her gloved hand. The wound was hardly an issue, but the actual sight of blood reminded Amara that this was no game. It was a spar - an intense on at that, where wounds can and will happen. A capsule from her belt revealed itself to be a miniature nano-repair set, the Saiyan crushing it to allow the tiny machines to mend the armor's damage - but not the cut beneath. Tapping the side of her head, the facial mask set back into place - built-in scouter cheerfully alerting her of the massive Power Level directly across from her.
The filtration through the mask would give Amara's voice a bit of a rough, robotic edge as she spoke: "Nice hit." She commented idly, rolling her shoulders and leveling her scythe at Kitiana. "Why did I challenge you?" It was a good question. A great one, in fact. For all Amara spoke of not being enthralled with combat like the rest of her kin, for all her reassurances that this wasn't for revenge (it wasn't), why did she choose to openly engage in potentially lethal combat with Kitiana? Especially when Amara knew the Demon could end her life with zero remorse if she saw fit? "Well you're right on that front. It isn't to really prove myself to you in particular, though it's possibly a nice side benefit."
Clenching her fist tightly, Amara looked up to the scarlet-hued sky and sighed. "Honestly? I don't know for sure. There was almost just an... urge. One that normally does not overtake me, but it did now. Was it the Saiyan in me, or is it this realm that we stand in that encourages violence to a degree? I don't know... heh, there's lots of things I don't know." She said softly. Not in a weak tone, but rather one of reflection and contemplation. "Yet I find this... enjoyable? In the past, there was never joy to be had in fighting. Merely money for tasks and for survival. Yet know as we clash blades and even as you draw blood... I like it. Why? Why do I like it...?"
Amara was confused, finally realizing what exactly the emotion coursing through her had been this whole time. Excitement. Thrill of battle. It all felt so foreign - ironic for a Saiyan. Yet the Saiyaness was torn from her thoughts at Kitiana continued on with a question, a name being dropped which drew her attention. "Ochra?" She said, furrowing her eyebrows. "As far as I can tell from what he's told me, he remembers nothing when he first went Super Saiyan. I met him again on Earth where he was training it - and seemed to be in full control. Then, on Namek though, he did not. It was like watching a first-time Oozaru go on a rampage all over again."
"...Why do you ask?" Amara said evenly, neither suspicious nor incredibly curious. "Certainly you can't believe I'm hiding Super Saiyan from you if I had it."

As Kitiana asked her questions and waited for those answers, she observed the way Amara moved and spoke. She was clearly surprised... no, that was wrong. Amara wasn't surprised by the cut, it was realization. She issued a compliment before continuing on to speak of why she truly challenged her. For all her bravado, she was a Saiyan at her core and the reason for the challenge was more obvious than Kitiana had first thought. She had assumed it was perhaps some underlying reason left over from when they fought on Namek. But no, at her core it was because she was a Saiyan and lusted for battle even if she didn't wish to admit it. This just happened to be the first time she fought without purpose.
That was reason enough for Kitiana to be willing to continue their fight honestly, however she continued by admitting that she found this fight to be enjoyable... Just as all Saiyan's would. A fight between two evenly matched opponents was something of a dream for a Saiyan, and even if Kitiana was numerically more powerful that would only make it all that more delicious of a fight for a Saiyan if anything. It provided her with a proper challenge, gave her something to strive to beat and overcome. If this was true, which very much seemed to be the case, the time for talking was nearly done.
But she would first answer her question of Ochra, which would also provide her the answer she was looking for in terms of what was happening to Amara. She asked a counter question at the end however, and a good one at that. "Call it an unreasonably annoying curiosity I have." She said with a slight shrug of her shoulders, shortly before rolling them. She cracked her neck a few times before she let out a soft sigh, Amara was... certainly interesting. While Kitiana hated that she attacked Kiko, she had taken her vengeance when she took her tail and stripped her of that power she misused.
Thus she had no real reason to hold animosity towards Amara, and that was likely for the best seeing as how Amara couldn't hold a candle to her now without Super Saiyan. With that she would this time turn the tables, she wouldn't wait for Amara to come at her and in fact wouldn't even announce anything further. Simply standing there idly for a few moments before she would appear in a burst of nearly invisible speed behind Amara, standing but a few inches away from her back-to-back. "You'll make for a good rival." She said, before spinning around and bringing the blade in a downward arc this time, aimed to cut right across Amara's back if she didn't react in time.
