Paprika had been travelling a long time to get this far into the North. She couldn't tell if it had been days, weeks, or -- well, no. It had been a couple of hours, but it was a boring couple of hours. There seemed to be nothing in the North but ugly rocks, half-frozen grass, and that ugly snow that builds up on the side of the road after too many cars and trucks have passed by. That stuff bothered her the most: slush and muck. It was probably the single worst thing about Earth. Drivers in general were! That was one reason why she had decided to venture all the way to Jingle Village, on a little enchanted broom.
The broom vanished into thin air with a poof of pink smoke when she finally came to the center of the village. This place was nice. Like the scene on a Frieza Day postcard. Snowy, but inviting... without a hint of that ugly slush anywhere! The snow was a little cold when she touched down into it with her bare feet, but she allowed a few wisps of fire to melt a little path for her to stand in.
She stood there in a patch of rarely-seen grass, with her hands on her hips, and just... admired the sight. It wasn't long before one or two Earthlings made their way out of their dwellings to see just who or what had come to grace their village. She offered them what she assumed was a reassuring smile, and even blew one a kiss. He didn't seem terribly pleased, but she figured that would change as soon as he realized she didn't mean any harm.
"Hello, Jingle Villagers!" she greeted, before beginning to pad her way over towards the crowd. "You don't know me, but my name is Paprika! I heard about your little town from someone in my club. They said that the people here were the most inviting in the whole world, and that it was the perfect place to celebrate the holidays. Well, the holidays are here and I'm going to bring you all the festive cheer you need!"
"I don't know what you people call your leader -- um, probably mayor, but that sounds a little too human, if you get what I'm saying," as she spoke, she was met by little more than confused glances and unsettled muttering. The villagers certainly didn't know what to make of her yet. But that was to be expected. All things had to come in time.
"Either way, that'll be me soon! But first, we should tour the village. Does anyone want to go fetch me some of that hot chocolate that you're supposed to drink when you're living in a Frieza Day card?"

Thread Power Level: 22.050 Across all of his travels, even the Saiyan needed rest every now and then. Especially now that his journey was reaching an odd sensation; it felt like every road led to a similar path which ultimately changed little or even nothing about his persona. His instruction had been to learn off the others and the ambient itself, but he didn’t feel all that much different ever since he had begun his adventure.
On the other hand, even, it felt like he didn’t exactly go anywhere other than circling around these villages and cities but with little to no solution as to what could brighten up his day. In any case, Wu was at this time resting on his way to the infamous Jingle Village. He had never experienced the cold before, even though he was somewhat used to chill temperatures because of his time at a monastery between the mountains of the Southern region — at the moment, the Saiyan was feeling quite down with the mood as his skin just quietly tightened across the fibers beneath.
He felt the freezing chill down his spine.
“These clothes aren’t fitting for a good time here,” - mentioned the man underneath his breath. Even that little air that escaped his mouth immediately turned into a cloud of visible smoke at the low temperatures within these landscapes. “I should have known…”
The desperation of the man was thankfully well met, as one of the families that lived there happened to notice the man’s odd shades of red around his nose and cheeks — they immediately realized that the poor monk was actually suffering from the cold with such light clothing and decided to welcome him inside their home.
Immediately was the man fascinated by the technology inside, but almost suddenly completely dragged in front of the fireplace that had been settled against the wall — surrounded by a wall of stones that allowed only those ahead to come close with their hands to graze the flames that soothingly burned with a pleasing intensity.
The family approached the monk, especially their little kids and stormed him with questions — it wasn’t out of suspicious but rather of wonder given just how interestingly out of the tone the Zhou introduced himself with the mere sense of sight. He looked like he came from two hundred years ago, almost. The Saiyan, though, rather smiled and shared a pleasant moment with the family and began telling the tales of his life.
That was, though, until suddenly an odd chirping outside caught his attention; it was… humanoid-like, feminine. But it was almost as if an announcement was being made. Wu, as curious as he was, decided to take a look out of wonder and brought with himself a jacket made out of leather on the outside and full of fur inside so that his skin was more or less kept warm where it mattered; all over the chest.
Wu stepped outside and found the crowd staring at a figure that began telling an entire speech. Immediately did the man sneak between a few openings in the crowd only for his sight to be ‘delighted’ with the image of the Demon.
He couldn’t help himself.
He was losing it.
Having come from the reality that he did, the monastery had instructed him on the path to enlightenment and progress; a school that told the legends of monsters and incarnations of the devil itself. His imagination was immediately struck by the sight of her appearance and associated it with the images of legends that he had many times crossed in his studies.
He was starting to lose his temper — but that was out of fear. He had never met anything like that… and was all in all frightened by what she truly was here after; Wu had been instructed to never trust an agent of evil such as the horned monsters. She even had wings and a tail with even more spikes!
The man boosted himself with the slightest bit of courage to step forward and face the Demon with a glare across his features while carrying his staff in his hand. “Frieza Day? Your nonsense cannot enchant me, heathen!” - exclaimed the poor Saiyan. He had no idea that something as classic as ki sensing was a thing, but at the moment, the monk was clueless as to what was the gap between the two. He wasn’t being overconfident, but rather, confident on what they had taught him; a monk had to carry such burdens at times, even to step forward and free the world from evil.
Of course while one could say such was outright worthy of romantic, heroic and adventurous novels — this was perhaps ancient and limited. He didn’t even know who or what she was, exactly, after all.
“Leave at once, devil. I shall not allow you to take over this town and its inhabitants. So, reason carefully and take the chance or I will have to raise my staff and finish it myself.”
The black-haired monk spoke, although, with a raised and imperative tone, there was a slight tremble in his lips; he was obviously frightened, somewhat, by what the outcome could have been.

Before Paprika could so much as get her hands on one of those legendary hot chocolates, she found herself beset by a particularly rude Earthling who was calling her names! She knew that Earthlings could be a little rowdy, and she really didn't blame him for it. After all, he was only an Earthling, so it was only natural for him to act out. He hadn't been taught any different yet! Rather than react with violence, as her instincts urged, she planted her hands on her hips and fixed the man with a stern look. "Now, now," she scolded as she took a couple steps closer. "You shouldn't go around calling people names like that. I'm not here to cause any problems for you little Earthlings! I'm here to help. And the best way for me to help you, is for one of your villages to go fetch me that drink! After all, good Earthlings behave themselves, now don't they?"
She wagged her finger at him, as if admonishing a child who had just gotten caught with his hands in a cookie jar. "Now, I know that you mean to call me a devil as an insult. That just won't do. If you weren't so ill-tempered, I might have thought it was a compliment! But it's fine, it's fine. I won't do anything to hurt you, poor little Earthling. You just need to learn."
She glanced around, her mind racing to different ideas of how to punish this one disobedient villager. She knew that in the Demon Realm, the answer probably would have been execution. But she was a peaceful and loving demon, here to make the Earth a better place to live. Then, she had an idea! She smiled brightly as she turned towards one of the little capsule houses. She didn't think there was anyone inside, and that was good enough for her. She tilted her head back, a heat forming in the back of her throat. Then, she stepped one pace forward and spit a torrent of fire from her mouth, aimed straight at the building! The flame burned hot enough to melt the building straight through in a matter of moments, a mystical sort of flame far and away more dangerous than anything particularly natural. As long as that little rebellious Earthling didn't get in her way, the building would be ash in just a few seconds.
Paprika uses her [A1] Fire Breath to destroy a villager's house! She can still be stopped if the attack is blocked.
21,120 PL damage directed at the house.
