Having caught wind of some rumors about Saiyans being spotted in south city Reno had quickly made his way over, his desire to finally meet one outweighing his caution. Still despite the rumors he initially found none and only a chance encounter with a alien pointed him in the right direction as they quickly told them this was a place they came to cool off and if he wanted to find more of them he would need head over a island or two where they had gathered. Again he left the city but this time luck was on his side as he spotted a large gathering of what appeared to be fighters if he had to guess by their power levels. Still he came forward and introduced himself, a act that was mostly met with surprise but quickly changed to asking him to leave.
"Sorry but as a fighter myself I came to hear if the rumors where true about Saiyans. I heard you guys where a warrior race and would love nothing more then to have a few matches with your people if you would allow it."
He argued as he caught them all by surprise, humans where not known for the strength so having one come forward and demand to spar threw them off. Still it seemed like they would deny his request until one of the older fighters came forward and accepted his challenge. The fight itself was short and brutal with the elder fighter easily holding off the ginger despite his attempts to get around his guard, the older mans experience easily outweighed what the ginger learned. Still this fight showed the rest that he was indeed a strong fighter despite being human and before long more then a few of the younger Saiyans had spared against him. His quick visit quickly turned into a lengthy stay as would heal up just enough to accept the next spar before starting over again. It was here he fought his first Oozaru a harrowing event that reminded him on just how fragile the humans really are, the resulting battle ended when the elder Saiyan stepped in and put a stop to it. It took him more then a week to recover form that one but all the while he stayed in the camp do what little training he could.

Finding a place to go on this planet that would be quiet and not filled with explosions or fights was quickly becoming hard to find. When she showed up on Earth it was mostly a dull place with people she had to search out to even have a conversation with, but things quickly changed. Her area to train high in the mountains had become a popular spot for ships to land. Her quiet forest was turning into a place for those on the run to hide and start fights. The desert was quiet but it was filled with bandits and sand and she wasn't sure which she hated worse. It came down to finding a new location in the south, one where she didn't find others too often and there were no ships landing nearby, explosions thrown around her head, and the only sand was found on beaches, so jackpot!
She did however find what looked like some sort of gathering, perhaps others were looking for a quiet place to huddle together for whatever reason, but the scene that played out with them was amusing enough to keep her attention. Despite looking for some peace and quiet, she stayed and watched as someone just walked up, introduced themselves, and wanted to fight. The fights that ensued were interesting to say the least, ranging from quick bouts, to punching matches, and one that almost ended in disaster as a fight with a Saiyan turning into an Oozaru broke out. She wanted desperately to step in and fight as well, but this wasn't her group, and she didn't know anyways there, and if any of these warriors were nearly as strong as her then things could have gotten ugly.
Kuma found herself camping out much like the one that had initiated the fights, staying close by and watching curiously but there was nothing much of interesting going on after what she had first witnessed and she was becoming quickly bored. Perhaps it was time she made her own introductions instead of creeping around waiting for something interesting to happen. Giving a wide stretch, she hopped up, covering a good distance of space between her camp and theirs, landing just feet from them and gave a wave. "So, you want to fight Saiyans huh?", her tail flicking behind her from under the skirt she was wearing as her hands rested on her hips. "I take it you aren't a Saiyan then."

His wounds had healed and soon he would ask for another sparring match with the elder. It was something he had put off but it was time he thought to try again in hopes that he would at least hold his own this time, the first match had been pretty one sided. Still it would not due to go into a fight without at least a nice cup of green tea, its soothing effects on him were so good he had a hard time figuring if it was best to have a cup before or after a fight. Lifting it to his lips he felt a power level moving closer to him before turning to face it, his hands never missing a beat as he finished his small cup. Tilting his head he watched her move closer, her open movements where clearly not a effort to sneak up on him so he smiled at her approach.
"hahah no I am not a Saiyan but I was pretty sure the hair would give it away. I mean form what I have seen you all seem to have black hair although to be fair a ginger Oozaru I think they where called would be quite the sight to see. As for fighting them its been quite the experience but if you been on earth long enough I am quite sure you already know how weak the majority of earthlings are."
He replied his words cheerful as the recent matches had put him in a good mood or maybe it was the tea. Still he leaned back to show that he was friendly unless provoked, his hands resting in his lap as he looked her over. Much like many of the Saiyan females she carried scars and where more of a cross fit like body that only a few earthling females ever achieved. He also noticed how high her power level was and he doubted anyone form the camp besides the old veteran came close to it, a impressive feat that easily explained her confident demeanor he thought. Still riding on his good mood he decided he might tease them a little as his grin grew wider in as he teased.
"You know you can avoid going though the steps of all the others if you want you know. You can touch the hair if you want to you know? As long as you don't try to take some of my locks like some of the others, it takes for ever for it to grow this long.
He reached up mid speech to run his hand though his hair to add emphasis on what he was saying, his cheeky grin still plastered on his face. Still he wondered why he had not seen them before now and was sure he would have if they where at this camp. It was a nice gathering of them but not enough that he would not have at least caught sight them at least one time before now.
"Hmm not form this camp I take it? I think I would have at least seen or sensed your power before now if you where. Still I guess its not my place to pry to much as I am just as out of place as your self I take it??"

Her eyes were trained on the one she had walked up on as she stared for a long silent moment trying to size them up. "You'd be surprised the hair I've seen on those with Saiyan blood. I mean none of 'em were full blooded Saiyans, but still." Her shoulders lightly shrugged at his comment about Earthlings, a look on her face as if she had agreed. "I've seen a lot of weak people on a lotta planets of all kinds'a races. Plenty of weak Saiyans, they just hide it well. Humans not so much." There was no way for her to know how strong this guy was without her scouter, and she had no way of sensing it otherwise, but she wondered if the opposite could be said. She was finding more people than she realized had the ability to read power levels and energy on Earth, but it wasn't a trait many Saiyans shared, and she had never met one that she was aware of given how much simply used scouters.
Her eyes narrowed as she waited for some type of sign that he was willing to fight, given he hadn't responded to her yet directly and was quickly becoming bored, as it was the only reason she had stuck around this long. It wasn't as if she had better things to be doing, but it was time she could have spent training. The look on her face changed for a curious one to a look of confusion as her started talking about touching his hair and about it in general, causing her head to tilt to the side some. "Why would I want to touch your hair? You have really misjudged the situation, pal.", gripping her hands to her hips and standing slightly off balance. "No I'm not from this camp. I'm from Vegeta. I've never seen any of them before. There are a lot of Saiyans ya know.", slowly transitioning her arms to cross in front of her as she surveyed the others he was talking about, shaking her head some before looking back to him. "You still haven't answered my question. You seem to want to fight Saiyans. I'm a Saiyan that wants to fight. Make with the words, please."

While he had not seen any in this camp it would make sense that their might be cross breeds with different hair colors, more so on a entire planet of these warriors. Still he noticed the strange look she was giving him and at first he could not place it and it bugged him far more then it should have. His eyes studied her as he wondered if she was like the others and unable to sense his power, a trait he found nearly non existent among the Saiyans in the camp. It would explain her comments form before about some of them hiding the fact that they where really weak rather then strong and to be honest it was a concept that he struggled with. For a race of such power warriors it felt like they had skipped steps in their training to get where they where.
Again he saw that strange look cross her face again as kept talking, a impatient tone now filling their voice as they rebuked his ever so generous offer to touch his hair. Normally he would pretend to have his feelings hurt but something in that look stopped him ahead of time. It was only then that it dawned on him just what that look was and it was a feeling until recently he had all been familiar with. Her words of challenge was without a doubt simple and in his eyes fit more in with a group of savages rather then any race capable of space flight he thought. Still simple was sometimes just the perfect answer you were looking for and rather then be fancy sometimes you just need to hit the nail with a hammer rather then screw around. Getting up he patted the dust off him for a moment before he looked back to her and replied.
"Hmmmm sorry for wasting your time but if you don't mind I think I would rather let my fists do the talking if you do not mind. I think we have already wasted too much time right?"
Taking on a combat stance he quickly focused his ki as his power level soared as he prepared for the fight, his hands clapping together for just a moment before his sword materialized form existence. Giving it a small flourish before taking a ready stance he prepared for the fight, his breathing steady as he allowed her to take up a stance as well. It was only then that he rushed forward to meet his new sparring partner as he let his lust for battle over take him, his arms swing the large blade down at where she was in a simple feint. He knew he would not win but at this moment he did not care as he charged headlong into battle.

It seemed her point was finally getting across, and thankfully whoever this guy was obliged. She had seem him walk up and challenge the ground claiming he wanted to fight Saiyans, and as a Saiyan she was more than willing to step up and join in. She waved her hands quickly as he suggested wasting her time, shaking her head as well. "You didn't waste my time, If I didn't wanna stay I woulda left already." His comment made her grin a bit, looking around now at the area it seemed they were going to fight and back to him nodding. "That was a very Saiyan thing to say. Pretty sure I've heard someone yell that at me before. Kuma let your fists do the talking when your words fail, or somethin' like that. Feel free.", giving an awkward looking regal bow that seemed out of place. Her eyes narrowed again as she watched his stance, trying to get a feel of how he might fight from the way he stood. Usually someone like herself would hold more of a tight boxer stance when fighting with their punches of kicks where someone the opposite was a bit more loose and wide with their stance. What she hadn't taken into account was him forming let alone using some type of ki formed weaponry, causing a brow of curiosity to raise. She'd deal with weapons before but usually it was people swinging chairs or clubs or some type of gun, but not someone with a sword. Standing across from him she took no real stance, at least not a traditional one. Her arms were loose at her sides and she stood in no particular way, but she gave a motion for him to come on, so she was at least ready to fight regardless.
Moments before he was close enough to strike she shifted into a boxer stance with her palms open and lowered her head behind her arms, watching his feet as he slowed down to plant and attack. When his sword came down her upper body turned with her right shoulder falling back and she hop stepped closer towards Reno's right side and past his blade arm completely, opening her palms and trying to shove him off balance but not knock him over if possible. She wasn't looking to hurt him assuming she could manage it, but test his reflexes and reactions.

"hmm that is good to hear...I would have hated it if I bored ya"
Her lack of stance was cocky or perhaps a attempt to prevent him form gauging their own stance. Already know she was stronger then him he assumed the ladder as he charged forward with both hands on his blade, a powerful stance that allowed for him to switch sword hands instantly. His eyes locked on the fact she had changed stance just before he clashed with her, a movement that had his entire attention as she sidestepped his blade with a fluid movement. It teems he had falsely assumed she would have a more savage fighting style then the tight and coordinated one she had now. He has seen videos of some boxing matches but they had failed to interest him so he could only assume that is what he was seeing, a tight but explosive style form the looks of it. He would have to be careful with her as he felt her hands connect to his side, a sound move if perhaps a little bit gentle on her part. It meant she was still unsure if she would hurt him if she got serious. Fear, kindness or overconfidence all could explain these actions on her part.
"Get serious!" He growled as he went with the shove rather then fight her in a battle of strength, his stance rigid as he slid across the ground a few feet none the worse for wear before he jumped forward again. Rather then a straight forward assault this time he took his time with some minor thrusts designed to throw his opponent off guard due the length of his blade, its 6 foot reach effective at keeping his opponent away form him most of the time. Still sensing that it was time to finally lunch a attack instead of just throwing feint after feint he channeled his ki into his blade, a action that made it gain a small aura of red energy visible to the naked eye. Thrust after thrust he kept at it until he launched forward in a similar as before however this time instead just striking down he rolled into a one handed hand stand before striking with his true attack while he was still upside down, a unorthodox attack that came at a strange angle for those not use to fighting with anything but their feet on the ground.

She still had no way to gauge is strength from his movements thus far, but she was faster than him at least. Perhaps she was doing what many had done before and was trying to learn her style, but given her movements were fast enough to avoid a direct attack and he didn't seem to move in enough time to avoid her own, perhaps not. For his part he didn't go flying from her shove, which meant he was strong enough to hold his ground, but it still didn't give her a real gauge of his strength yet. "Get serious? What kind of serious do you want here?" Clearly that shove annoyed him to some degree and maybe he thought she was mocking him or going easy on him, but she didn't want to just punch a hole in the guy if he wasn't strong enough to take it.
The way he came back with his sword attack felt similar to how Namekians fought, using their ability to stretch their arms to attack at a distance or keep someone at a distance, so it wasn't a foreign concept to her. She didn't simply try to retaliate this time, bouncing back on her feet to jump just out of the range of each thrust, but they kept coming and it was a matter of time until she had to retaliate over jumping around constantly. There was no way not to notice the sword coming towards her constantly starting to glow with a colored aura, causing her to leap back hard a few feet further as she didn't want to be in range to simply get stabbed by it. The moment she took to land unfortunately was enough for Reno to use his momentum and catch back up, and the strange move he had executed caused her to pause for a moment, which was just long enough for the attack to come at her in range, which was exactly what she had been trying to avoid.
It looked like this was as good a time as any to test what he was attacking with. Her arms extended as if she was about to leave herself wide open, but between both palms a large energy ball formed, blocking the path of the incoming attacking. It seemed however it was just strong enough to hold off the full brunt of whatever Reno's attack was, but not enough to stop it completely, feeling a dull pain, but a pain regardless hit her side as the ball dissipated.

He got her or at least he felt resistance this time but he was unsure if he had done any real damage to her. He was sure he was keeping the blade dull as to not cause fatal injury but he was almost sure he could hit her all day like that and she would just keep on coming. Still he decided he was not gonna let up since he knew he would not be able to keep up with her forever, with that he slashed at the air to blow way the dust cloud form their earlier clash before he rushed her again. With a change of tactics he moved close as he threw a few jabs at her, his hands glowing red similar to the way his sword had as he struck at her guard probing it for a weakness.
"Dammit Reno you should have payed more attention on hand to hand you fool"
He cursed as he failed to beak her guard despite his faster strikes, a clear sign that he not only was faster but without a doubt stronger then him. It irked him that she still had made no attempt on attacking him yet but it was understandable if not frustrating she was still more concerned about hurting him then fighting him. At least that is what appeared like to him as he tried to come up with a plan, his eyes scanning around her for a brief moment as his mind raced. Unable to stand the stale mate any longer he lunged forward with his sword raised in his left hand for another strike, the silver metal gleaming in the sun as it remained untouched by his energy. It was only then that he took another step and thrust with his hand yet again as his hand filled with the same red ki that had struck her just before.

It seemed this sword fighting was going to be a bit of an annoyance, but unlike her assumption, this was nothing like fighting a Namekian at all. Their reach was annoying, but they usually used it for more blunt attacks or grabbing, and obviously a sword was a different type of extension of a person than a literal extending arm. The way the blade had hit her had felt more like a painful hard slap over a wide surface than a sharp slash, which meant thankfully it hadn't cut through her new clothes, but if she didn't want that to change she had to change up her strategy. As he came back in she fairly easily dodged back out of the way again, giving more credence to the previous attack being potentially a more specialized attack, and the way it cut through her energy blast told her it was stronger than she had expected, but it still didn't give her any information on how strong Reno himself was.
"Don't try so hard. You are gonna use up all your energy that way.", she scolded him, stepping back and bouncing on alternating feet with each dodge. The dust cloud caused her for a moment to have to close her eyes, but this was far from a new tactic even in her younger age, even being used on her multiple times in the past week by multiple fighters. It meant she had to jump further away from the fight and couldn't instantly counter, but it wasn't an instant disadvantage. What she didn't realize is it wasn't his intention to blow it further towards her but to clear it, leaving her further from the range to counter and over reading the situation. It was becoming more clear that while this was a fight, it was also a chance to test and teach him; a skill Kuma liked using that rarely was seen by her these days. She could see the frustration building as well the more she avoided his attacks, sighing as she saw a bit of herself in those same looks. "Calm down.", moving to the side and slapping at his arm before going back into her stance. "Getting mad just makes it harder to think clear. Think about your next move, your next attack. Take a breath."
His attack was perhaps more telegraphed than he had intended, but now was a chance to see how strong these melee strikes of his were. Her feet planted and she stopped dodging, watching the strike closely as it came down towards her. Moments before impact his hands began to glow again, and her arms raised to try and catch the strike from his blade, taking her eye off his his hand as she expected the energy to transfer into his weapon. She took the strike right to the shoulder with both arms raised, but only took a step back to keep her footing and let out a grunt. "Not bad...", narrowing her eyes as she looked up to him, lifting her foot and aiming to plant a kick as hard as she could muster right into his gut. If he wanted her to get more serious, then she would get more serious.

In all honestly he had expected her to catch him feint again so it came as a surprise when his hand connected to her shoulder stopping him in his tracts, his eyes turning up to where his blow had connected. He was sure she had much more experience then he did and a simple feint should not have caught her off guard but the again she might still be taking it easy on him. Being looked down on by aliens was not something new and to fair he had been on the receiving. end a lot these last few months. Perhaps he really was getting stronger then he thought he was? Maybe he was use to being so much weaker then his opponent that he had never factored in his new found strength he thought.
"Maybe I ...oh"
He started speak only to stop as he noticed her foot much to late, his small comment of surprise being his last thought before he was sent reeling form her kick. It was also at that moment he his notion on being stronger went out the door as he struggled to keep his lunch down, his stomach reeling form the harsh blow as he flew into a nearby rock foundation. Realizing he was tapped in the smoke he struggled to get the pain under control as the blow had forced the air form his lungs, his muscles heaving as he struggled to force himself to breath. Taking it slowly before he finally got some small measure of control he emerged form the smoke with a mask of indifference as he tried to hide the damage form her kick. Maybe he should have been happy she had only been shoving him before this he thought? Still he had been intending to provoke her into attacking recklessly, a tactic seemed quite ineffective on her. It looks like his thoughts on her being more of a simpleton had not quite been right or at least of all when it came to fighting anyways.
"Well so much for trying to force you into a all out brawl right off the bat.....are you sure you don't want touch it? Just a little?"
He teased after he had finally calmed down some, his heart still beating steadily as he eyed her up again. What ever she lack in social skills she sure made up in fighting prowess he thought and he be a fool to forget it. His irritation at her lack of effort not all but as gone as he took his stance again and awaited her next move. It looked like this might become a drawn out fight and if he did not relax he was gonna lose before it even got started it seemed.
"All right lets just pretend I did not get the air knocked out of me shall we? I rather not lose to a fourth Saiyan this week if you don't mind?"
