Demon possession, huh? That sounded pretty horrible. Worse than Yogu was playing it off to be, anyway, but Karon let him have the lie. Having an impromptu therapy session with a teen ghost about his supernatural trauma wasn't something he was keen on doing today. ...Or any day, really. If he had to do something like that, he'd like to be prepared for it first. So Karon shrugged, and addressed the relatively less psychological topic, "Don't worry about the ghost guy too much. But... if you ever run across a dead Saiyan that likes to go on dramatic monologues about nothing, give me a call, okay?"
He was pretty sure if he had to watch these two blush and stammer at each other for another second, he was going to vomit. He silently thanked Yemma when Zhida leaped in and started up their fight again.
Though her expression stayed focused and determined, Zhida was smiling on the inside. She was pleased with how many hits she was landing on Yogu now. She was smart enough to tell he was a strong opponent, and so felt proud of her accomplishment, but she hadn't quite worked out that he was using a ki-suppressing trick. There was a part of her that felt a little bad just stabbing him like this, but... he was a ghost! She couldn't really hurt him, not like she could hurt a real person. He wasn't even that bothered by his whole hand falling off!
Thoughts of the gross hand were wiped from her mind as Yogu went and outright caught her tanto by the blade. Her eyes went wide. You don't grab a sword by the blade, that's crazy! ...And pretty in line with what she'd seen of Yogu so far, actually. She tried in vain to wrench her sword out of his grasp, and-- there! She got it! She was proud again for a half-second, before she realized Yogu had let go on purpose, and was punching her in the gut. She went flying across the memorial park and landed in a heap in a shrub.
Karon watched her go without flinching. She could take a bump or two, she'd be fine. He stood there impassively, hands in pockets, and answered Yogu's questions, "Eh, I'm the same old me. I haven't seen Yanwang too recently. Last we met was on Arcose, of all places. I should try and track him down, I hope he hasn't gotten into trouble." Across the park, the shrub Zhida has fallen into rustled. She was starting to get back up. "...Y'know, Yogu, I wouldn't call myself an expert on romance, but your technique here could use a little work."
Before he could elaborate on what that meant, Zhida returned. She rocketed back towards Yogu with a couple of leaves stuck in her hair. With her momentum behind her, she thrust an open-palm strike towards Yogu's chest. Should that hit, she'd follow up with another series of quick sword slashes, doing her best to change up the pattern from before.
Whether or not her attacks landed, Karon took this as his opening. The sound of metal on metal was the only warning of what was coming, as Karon unsheathed his sword from within his impossibly deep pockets and stepped in to interrupt their fight. He struck out at Yogu, aiming to cleave the ghost's head from his shoulders in one clean blow and send him back to Hell, where he belonged.
"Sorry, kid. Nothing personal."
