Itzal's physical appearance resembles one more of a ghost than an actual demon, having an ethereal and nearly black color due to his status as a shadow demon. While his body doesn't have a true shape as it often shifts, generally staying at what could be best described as a straight line, his "head" has a bird-like appearance with two yellow eyes in the middle. At the middle of the body, he has two tendrils shaped like claws, functioning as hands. Itzal's body is connected to Kari's shadow, and while he is able to stray far away from her, he will leave a "tail" leading back to her.

History:
Unlike most other demons who would be born of two demonic parents, Itzal was one born of magic. While he has existed since Kari had been born, he had laid dormant within her shadow until she had recently awakened to her new abilities. One of these very abilities was to create a guardian or a "familiar" of some sorts to aid her. And thus Itzal was awakened from his slumber where he was bound to his host, thriving off of her energy which was used to keep him alive. While he had the potential to become a great guardian, the two did not get along at first. Kari found him to be arrogant, focusing more on criticizing othersand chasing after attractive people, often spending more time bragging about how strong he is rather than actually proving it. Itzal also shared similar feelings towards his companion, seeing her as too weak and annoying for his liking, often causing the two to bicker. However after a lot of arguing, the two had reached an uneasy compromise primarily due to the fact Kari was unable to figure out how to put him back in his dormant state. Itzal would try to keep his mouth shut primarily when she was at school so she wouldn't get in trouble and in return Kari agreed to have him help her "become stronger mentally" as he put it. Yet despite how much the demon claimed he loathes his host, his primary goal in life remains the same: to protect Kari even if it costs him his own. If only it was easier to do so...

[N1] Shadow Claw - Taking one of his claws, Itzal enlargens the tendril and slashes at his enemy with it. This attack damages at 33% of his power level.
[UP2] Shadow Claw - An upgraded version of Shadow Claw, Itzal now uses both of his claws for this attack, charging them both with ki before attacking an enemy, slashing in an X shaped fashion with the two. This attack damages at 66% of his power level.

Shadow Meld [SU1]: Itzal temporarily completely turns into a shadow, allowing any technique under 100% of his power level to phase through him. (Flavored afterimage)
