BACKGROUND: As one of the lower ranked nobles Garruk's family made its fortune not form selling planets but by holding a extremely important shipping lane for merchants, its fleet imposing tariffs on all who passed though their space. Rather then get involved in the planet selling that many of their kind was the Brumal clan was content on improving their small quarter space, a choice that made them popular among the common folk. Still with no real worlds to call their own and all their citys built as space stations or military bases the Brumal clan never took off. A small constant in the world trade fleet, valuable trade line that was protected by the clan and no real threat to the political power of the world trade fleet. It was such a place that Garruk was born, the first born of the head of the clan and pride of his warrior father.
Growing up Garruk was trained to be a dedicated warrior, a example of what his people should be rather then decadent people that they were becoming hiding by their fleets. As such Garruk enjoys chances to prove himself in combat and takes great pleasure in meeting a worthy challenge. It was often said the easiest way to earn a measure of respect form Garruk was to challenge him to combat and prove you where a true warrior. However his lessons did not end their however and despite not being the next in line for head of the family he was trained in matters such as management,engineering,command and even social etiquette making him a man his family could count on even when they where away. This education and extensive training has left Garruk more then a little prideful of his bloodline, a trait not all that uncommon for his kind.
The attacks by the Saiyan kingdom had untold repercussions for Brumal family and the world trade fleet, their normally traveled supply lines where now barren. The change in territory made his family's trade lines no longer usable due to the lost of space and with lord gone the ensuing power struggle had countless refugees flock to their sector looking to escape. Unable to refuse them the Brumal family took them in, a fact that would soon cost them their lives. While the family was tending to the refugees a rivaling family attacked killing Garruks brother and father as well as a large number of civilians. Garruk was barely able to fight them off and keep their forces form falling apart. After the attack Garruk knew with the loss of their trading lane and the current power struggles his people where no longer safe, the world trade fleet was tearing itself apart. Rather then stay on the sinking ship he took his population aboard as many ships as he could muster and fled into the dark void of space to search for a new home.

The newest members of his fleet include many of the displaced Namekins form its destruction, the Arcosian saving many of them form the doomed planet.
Personality: Garruk is prideful warrior and a dutiful leader. Like most of his race he carries the superiority complex over most races, a fact that affirms his belief that it is his duty to protect and guide them as their better. This belief carries over into much of what he does, form keeping his word or repaying those who have helped him in some way. As such Garruk can display great acts of loyalty and kindness to even those he believes inferior to him, his desire to be the perfect role model for his people spurning him to try even harder. Despite that Garruk is also able to display great acts of cruelty to those he believes incompetent or those betray him.
