BACKGROUND: Lan is a younger child of the Cameo family. his bloodline is part of a particularly dangerous mafia empire that's taken root in West city, with his great aunt Vayle being the head of the Cameo Mafia. His family tends towards black haired women with green eyes in their biology, with fairly feminine figures, with Lan being the first male born to the family in 2 generations. Lan was born a sickly child and did not gain the usual muscle a cameo developed, along with being abnormally sweet for someone born into the business - for a long time, it was assumed that Lan did nto have the usual 'killer instinct' possessed by most of them. As a child, he tended to shy away from most of his family and fellow kids, spending most of his time with his parents, along with his favorite Cousin, Prima Cameo.
When he began to attend school, despite his family, his shy, unassuming nature caused him to be bullied by many different people, with his passive nature and anxiety causing him to take the physical and mental abuse without doing much about it. The family began responding by making those kids who made his life miserable 'disappear', but this only had the added effect of causing Lan not to talk about the kids who bullied him - his perceptiveness caused him to immediately piece together what the family had done it's best to keep subtle, and the young boy, even if he didn't like his tormentors, was willing to protect them with his own silence.
Eventually, his parents gave up on schooling him at home, shortly into high school, and sent him to live with his cousin, Prima Cameo. This caused the bullying to lessen, even if it didn't decrease, but Lan stayed overall unchanged until the day he saw Prima being aggressively accosted by a younger Saiya-jin warrior. The Saiyan clearly had seedy intentions in mind for his cousin, and as he pinned her hands against the wall, Lan could only think of a few, horrible things he might want to do to her.
The young Cameo, who had never as much as raised his voice beforehand, didn't hesitate for a second in stabbing the man from behind with a kitchen knife, his unassuming presence causing him to be practically ignored by the skilled warrior until a knife had already pierced through a vital area.
The young man proved his abilities, not in the rage and fervor his cousins usually showed, but in the skilled elimination of a family enemy without showing any emotion whatsoever.
Needless to say, Prima was impressed. Disappointed - for she'd never intended Lan to walk in on the scene of her prepared assassination, and she'd never been in any true danger - but also impressed at his natural talent.
It was then that Prima revealed her real career path - unusual for a Cameo, she'd chosen to specialize in assassination over the more general enforcement and Mob-running of her family, and become one of the best in the world. And those were skills she'd willingly teach to Lan - as long as he was willing to take her training completely seriously and do as she asked.
The younger Cameo, thrilled to be of use to his cousin, happily agreed, drawing just a little sadness from his new mentor's face, before they got to work. For years, they drilled at all the basics - martial arts, using knives, poisons, drugs, needles, setting areas... the list and number of topics got bigger or bigger - until, at last, he was cleared to start doing missions himself. The younger cameo was allowed his own judgement on what targets to take out, but he was expected to keep busy, and to follow any training requests he is given by his mentor Prima.
One such decree was recent, with the young assassin asked to visit the distant world of Namek, and hone his skills in spiritual focus there - as well as, more intimidatingly, his social skills, as he's left without Prima's nearby guidance...
And so our story begins...
TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUES: Ansatsuken Dodonpa [A1] - A variant of dodonpa practiced by the cameo family, this form of the technique focuses the ki into a tight beam, allowing it to put holes through flesh. A light golden energy gathers around the tips of the index and middle fingers, sparking and flaring without a noise, before firing a thin yellow blast that screams through the air with a simple "zzt.". This particular beam is meant to be understated and not draw too much attention, though any ki user will, of course, sense the energy being thrown around and realize that it's not just a broken power line they're hearing.
The ability was developed a hundred years in the past and has been compared to a nailgun more than once in it's history. It's the bread and Butter of any Cameo's arsenal. Deals 33% of your current PL in damage.
SUPPORT TECHNIQUES: Afterimage [SU1]: Through a sudden burst of speed you leave behind a static image of yourself to distract your opponent, this technique allows you to completely dodge techniques beneath 100% of your PL. This technique uses 1 KP in KP Battles.
UTILITY TECHNIQUES: Energy Sensing [UT]: Via some method you are capable of feeling the natural energy of living beings, you have an understanding of the power level of other non-android warriors and can feel the power of the attacks they are using compared to your own. This technique is Passive not requiring activation and uses 0 KP in a KP Battle, Energy Sensing does not work on Androids.
