The Sea of Stars was always a wonder to behold; Its mass void of darkness with small specks of light to illuminate the shadow was in some ways a great allegory for the universe itself. So much potential, so much light in so many different dots. Yet no dot bore a brighter, more vibrant light than the one that began to fill the synthetic glass windows of the Namekian Spaceship. Blue water and green landmass, a contrast to his own homeworld, Planet Earth was in every way Beautiful. Sitting comfortably within the captain’s chair, Oboe – Guru of Namek – began his descent into the atmosphere of the world, trained now in his ships computer systems.
His thoughts wandered to the last time he’d approached Earth from this vector, how he’d nearly died upon a crash landing shortly after discovering his Fathers vessel. It was a sweet memory – when you consider it was how he met one who he had not thought he would on a world so far from his own. Snapping out of his reverie as the brilliant red-orange of re-entry filled his vision, Oboe began to press a series of buttons on the computer console before him.
“Ah, Good time, it’ll be around Noon when we land. I hope we wont be intruding – it’s been such a long time since we’ve seen each other. Once I introduce everyone I’ll need to head to Crop Co. Ask Mr. Carro for more of those Plex robots of his. They’ve been such a wonder for our reconstruction efforts.”
Oboe smiled as he went over the itinerary, wondering just how much he’d be able to get in. He was genuinely excited to see his friends again. Chime, Tarch, Carro – heck, even little Chromo. With everything that had been going on since the attack on his Village, Oboe hadn’t allowed himself any real “Him” time. Even on this trip he was doting on others besides himself. Pressing another button, the screen changed showing him the location of two specific entities onboard the ship.
“Ah, good. They’re still meditating. Nearly three days straight, their endurance is incredible!” Oboe commented on the pair sitting in the ritualistic training chamber found on deck 2. Xander and Xanathar; Brothers of his Village whom had survived the attack by Kitiana. They’d come to him asking for training and he’d agreed. This trip had been a godsend in that regard as he wanted to show the pair that other species weren’t as bad as everyone whom they’d seen thus far. As he reached down, Guru made an announcement on the loud-speakers;
“Alright boys; Hold on – we’ll be experiencing some turbulence but will be arriving at our destination in just a few moments. Why don’t you two prepare for departure.” His voice echoed throughout the vessel that had been their home over the last week of travel. The ship’s size and accomodations had made it a comfortable home on wheels – one Oboe had been very fond of using. He’d offered the space to the pair and it had worked out wonderfully as it let him show them the wonders of Tea.
As the ship came roaring towards the Earth, a familiar speck began to grow on the distance. Floating high above the clouds, solitary and alone, a platform of massive size and a hemispherical bottom would rest before him. The massive palace like building was a sight to behold. This was their destination – The Lookout. Home of the Earths Guardian, or ‘God’, Kami. With great care and newly practiced precision with machines…which was strange to him…Oboe managed to safely and gently land the ship on the lookout platform proper. With a snaphiss of coolant, the vessel docked.
Wasting no time, Oboe shut down all non-essential systems and prepared to depart, nearly running to the door located on the bridge. The viewing port opened allowing the Namekian to leap on the tiled surface. With a smile and a jest in his voice, the Namekian would call out – “Chime! Hello? Are you here? Where are you little brother?"
Oboe called out to the one he came to see; hoping he was available.

The ship was a cold place to Xander, barren of life despite the people on board. Guru and Xanathar both radiated life sure, but to the boy connected with Nature, it was a cold place... Distant, devoid of the warmth of the elements. But even so he sat in his meditation, unmoving, in balance and focused completely on his efforts. He was weak... to weak and it was a curse he would break. He would bring his powers higher than any outsider... He was going to bring order to his world. That was what he kept telling himself... What he desired above all else.
It was when the speaker came on, announcing their arrival upon the new world, Xander didn't feel it right away. They were so far away, yet it grew louder... and louder. The voices of this world, the elements spoke to him... His brow furrowed, his aura became active and it was like life had been thrown back into him. His eyes kept themselves shut, but his mind was already reaching out to the entrails of this world. He could sense the wounds already, the numbers of training sessions, the battles, the deaths of countless innocence... and among-st it was a huge wound. A gnarled gash in it and from it screamed the blood of life.
Xander didn't need to be strong to feel this world's suffering, it spoke to him. So as the ship neared its destination, the Namekian's eyes opened, his red eyes looking to his brother before nodding. Slowly he stood up, adjusting his hood carefully before taking off through the door. The Namekian not wasting time as he walked forward, exiting the ship behind Guru onto what looked to be a platform suspended high in the air.
The wind whispered to him, telling him of all the strong opponents on this world, and the Namekian could tell... this world was full of arrogant aliens... He already missed his home, and some part of him felt sick to be connecting to another world. Yet he said nothing, he needed not speak. He had vowed to follow the guru's training, and if the guru wished for him to see this world... then he would obey. For now he needed to focus on growing stronger, deepen his connection and find the source of his strength.
Xander's eyes silently surveyed the lookout, a place said to house a brother of their people. He was still figuring out how to sense people, but in time he hoped he would learn how to pinpoint living beings. For now, Xander simply remained by the Guru's side, pondering if they should explore this world or simply stay with the ship. He had to admit... some part of him wanted to explore the world and learn more about it.
Was there more namekians here, were the people as vile as he thought they were, and he wondered if his brother would be safe here. Some part of him wanted to venture off on his own, but remaining with Xanather was probably for the best. Yet... some part of him was just curious in general if he would be fine without his brother's assistance. Not that he minded Xanather's presence, if anything it was comforting... yet his selfishness was still nagging at him. Perhaps it would be food for thought.

Chime's PL: 100 (Set from 130,000)
When Chime sensed a trio of energies approaching the Lookout, he was expecting more problems. That was simply his default assumption these days: if strangers were coming to the Lookout, they were there to cause trouble. These people, however, weren't strangers. One of them seemed familiar, at least, but that couldn't be. Oboe was much stronger than that tiny spark of power he felt, wasn't he? Though Chime himself was concealing his true strength at this very moment, so it was possibly the Guru was doing the same. His fellow Namekian was fairly smart, he honestly shouldn't have been surprised.
But what was Oboe doing here, and who had he brought with him? Chime was terribly curious, and as Oboe's old spaceship touched down on the Lookout's tiles, Chime was already walking across to meet them. He looked different than when Oboe had seen him last. Slightly taller and in different clothes, but that was only surface level. There was a grim air about the Kami that wasn't there before. He was more serious and less cheerful, even as he approached Oboe's ship, waving and calling back to him, "I'm here, brother!"
He stopped just short of Oboe, looking him up and down. The Guru seemed well, at least. "This is unexpected," He said, "But not unwelcome. How's Namek? It's alright with you leaving for a while? And..." He'd glance aside to the Namekian (or Namekians, should Xanathar also exit the ship) accompanying Oboe, giving them a curious look, "...Who are your friends?"

Despite the Guru's warnings it had taken no extra convincing to seek further training form him, in fact he had been waiting at the ship long before Oboe arrived. Still when asked to meditate Xanathar could only let out a sigh of relief as the peaceful training would allow him to keep his mind off the vastness of space, a Prospect that strangely terrified him. Unlike being on a planet there was nothing he could do here if some thing went wrong and even one small mistake and they would all die with him being powerless to stop it. Still he was not one to worry others so he kept his cool and went though the steps of meditation to keep his mind away form the vastness of space.
Perhaps he should not be excited to see land that was not their own but the prospect to have solid ground under him was perhaps to appealing after three days in the void of space. Still he kept his meditations going as their was very little for him to prepare, his belongings were no more then a small sack near his chambers and most of the ships functions were automatic leaving him with no work to complete.The shaking of the ship did little to still his fears but he refused to allow it to show as he keep to his training in silence.It was only when the ship had lurched to a total stop that he finally allowed his eyes to open, a small glimmer of excitement filling his sharp gaze at the prospect of seeing a new planet. A new world would be a interesting experience to say the least and if his thick skull had learned anything it was that this world was the origin of some of his favorite fruit.
It was only when they got closer that he felt the ki of one of their kin, his energy having a similar pulse that most of his kind had but this one was strong. Not quite as powerful as he had sensed form Oboe at the site of his failures but still amazing none the less. But their was more he could feel the presence of many strong powers covering this planet, form powers similar to the ones that had fought beside them and even those similar to the ones that had attacked them. Many of their powers where not active but none the less it seemed earth itself was under a invasion of sorts, a peaceful people like his own now acting hosts to powers that could easily destroy their world. The fact that they where even still here showed that not all the powers where hostile to the earthlings or at least not as hostile as they where when they attacked Namek. He wish he could sense more rather then only guess at what was happening on the small blue world but perhaps he would take a look before they left.
It was only after their brother stepped off the ship did he follow him out onto the look out, a scene that nearly sent him into a panic before he realized they were merely high in the air and not still in space. The vast emptiness around them seemed so similar to space that it had nearly sent him into a fit as he fought to compose himself, his eyes darting form place to place. What was this place? And why was it so far in the sky? Who in their right mind would live so high up in the sky? It was only then that his eyes locked onto the Kami of this world, his small stature did not befit the power he possessed. Not that he could talk as out of the four Namekians it seemed those looked the most fit where the weakest and the weakest at least in appearance where strongest I irony that he did not miss. It was also a fact of great annoyance to him that he was so far behind his people in strength and was more a liability rather then a warrior for their kind.
"Hello sir Chime I am Xanathar son of Janus and a member of the warrior caste. Although it feels more of joke to call myself any kind of warrior compared to you and the Guru. None the less I am happy to meet another one of the people among the stars!"
He replied a bit over eager he thought but the time on the ship had made him more then a little bit stir crazy. Still he was not lying about being happy to meet another of his kind as he gave a slight bow of greeting before turning to his brother. It was only then he realized the storm that raged inside his brothers head, a look he had gotten use to of late. Still he never knew what his brother was thinking during these moments and could do little other then stay nearby in hopes that it would help calm the storm in his mind.

As the smaller figure approached, Oboe’s smile widened. Though he seemed a bit taller, and his outfit as different than the last time he’d seen him – it was always good to see the Kami of Earth doing well. On either side of himself, Oboe felt the approach of the brothers; their differing natures – one silent, the other vocal – a contrast to the way both Oboe and Chime had approached one another. With a hearty laugh and a jovial tone, Oboe would begin to explain as best he could for his surprise arrival.
“Ah! Sorry about that. Normally I would’ve reached out to you and warned you of our coming but…I kinda wanted to surprise everyone. It’s been a while since Ive seen any of you and it felt like a cool thing to do! Oh! Where are my manners…These two here are my new Students – Xander and Xanathar. Introduce yourselves boys!”
Oboe smiled warmly as Xanathar was the first to break the uneasy tension of silence introducing himself and his brother as the Sons of Janus. As the Namekian spoke, Oboe took a better look at his younger friend. With eyes that saw beneath the surface, Oboe could sense a sort of…change in Chime’s nature. It was soft, subtle but present. He seemed…agitated, angry, serious. As if something had happened but he was still trying to hide it. Reaching his senses outward, he began to feel around the planet as best he could. The world was…in chaos. So many energies, some conflicting, others subsisting, coalesced into the melting pot that was Earth.
A look of curiosity etched upon his features as he awaited the other to cease his talking before speaking up again.
“…Well said Xanathar. To be honest little brother, Namek has seen better days…”
Without hesitation, Oboe began to explain the recent events on Namek to the Kami of Earth. He spoke warily of the destruction of his home village, of the deaths he managed to avoid by sacrificing his own body – how the planet itself was under stress and turmoil the likes that which only Earth could understand. He explained the betrayal of Kitiana, the arrival of the other demon, the Tuffles, everything. After nearly ten minutes of speaking, Oboe finally finished catching the other up.
“…and that’s why I came to Earth. As we rebuild and restore our world, we ran short of materials. IO was hoping I could meet with the President, Mr. Carro, and request more of his Plex robots for assistance. They’ve been invaluable in our efforts. I figured if I was going to do so, I might as well check in with you first. After all, you’re really the only person I know up here besides the Young Tarch…speaking of which, I’m going to have to visit him too now that Im here. I’ll want to see if his wish came true and his mother was restored to him.”
Oboe was happy when he referred to the ones he was hoping to see. Unaware of the recent events that had occurred…

Xander continued to stand there, watching the scene unfold before him. The namekian on this world was young and he had a hardness to him that had been shaped by his experiences. At least that was what Xander saw on the surface, but he didn't know the true extent of who this individual was. He couldn't judge people well, unlike possibly the others and this left him at a disadvantage when speaking. So he simply watched, letting his brother speak, then spoke Guru further. Once they had spoken, Xander simply bowed slightly before simply stating what he had to say.
"I am Xander, brother of Xanather."
With that out of the way, Xander stood up straight before looking at the other curiously. Another namekian on this world was surprising, but then again if aliens came to their world then it was fair to assume namekians went to theirs. Xander didn't understand why anyone would choose to live away from their own kind, perhaps a deviant of some sort, but he would not assume him to be strange in the head yet.
Yet with nothing to do but watch the others speak, Xander would idle himself with looking out over the clouds. His ears listening to the sounds of the wind, the elements telling him their woes in strange whispers as he waited. They spoke of their pain and whimpers, yet nothing that could hold true meaning or depth of the heart. Only that the world ached.

The duo accompanying Oboe were apparently brothers. True brothers, not simply 'brothers' in the way Oboe and Chime were, but actually children of the same father. Chime could see the resemblance now that he was looking at them both clearly, even as similar as Namekians tended to look to begin with. Xander and Xanathar were their names. Xanathar seemed to be the more talkative of the pair, but he addressed both of them as he replied, "Well then, I'd like to be the first to formally welcome you to Planet Earth. Though...this is a bit of a strange introduction to the planet. This," He gestured to the area around them, "Is the Lookout, if Oboe hasn't already explained. It's a very ancient and powerful place, and I act as its caretaker. I'm the Guru of Earth, essentially." Chime almost chuckled. He'd explained the role of Guru to people in the reverse way before, "The rest of the planet is nothing like this, but it's nothing like Namek, either. You two will just have to explore for yourselves." He had half a mind to warn them of danger, but he assumed they weren't here to go on a Dragon Ball hunt. There was no need to spook them the moment they stepped off their ship.
Then he turned to Oboe. Things on Namek weren't all sunshine and flowers either, and Chime nodded along solemnly as he listened to the story, but they at least seemed to be over for now. The Guru was here looking for reconstruction help, not seeking emergency warriors. The problem was, he was looking for help from Carro. That...would be a problem. And he was looking for Tarch, too. How could Chime tell him that two out of the three people he had come to see were dead? ...Or mostly dead, at least. He'd been sworn to secrecy about Carro's state, and Tarch...well, that whole scenario was just tragic. Chime turned away and sighed before he spoke again.
"Carro is...unwell. It's not something we can heal, before you ask," He was quick to add that, because he knew if their places were reversed, that would be the first thing he wondered, "Things on Earth have been hard lately, and Crop Co.'s been busy, not to mention his Presidential duties. I think it's gotten to him, and he just needs some rest." It wasn't a lie, it simply wasn't the whole truth. He hated having to keep secrets from Oboe of all people, but he wouldn't break Carro's trust, not after everything that had happened, "A lizard woman named Tianum seems to have taken over in the meantime, you can probably get your robots from her. As for Tarch..."
Chime bit the inside of his cheek and took another deep breath before he continued, "There's no nice way to say this. He's dead. That demon you spoke of? I know him-- or at least, I did, once. Sensoa Ghoun. He's terrorized our world, too, and his latest act was to kill Tarch over a Dragon Ball. After that..." He lifted his arms in a shrug and finally turned to face Oboe again, "After that, I don't know. I've lost track of him. ...I'm sorry."

Xanathar had to admit it was nice to be welcomed to this world by one of their own, and more then a small bit of satisfaction that it was one of their own as earths Guru. He knew it was hubris on his part but he could not help the sense of pride he felt for his kin on earth. Returning his mind to the present he had to agree that this did not seem like his world at the very least, even the green skies where not the same. The dull blue he saw in the sky was slightly worrying but nothing compared the blackness of space. At least their was a sky here and earth for them to stand on here. Still he noticed the little guru hesitance at Oboe's words, a clue that all was not well here. It was confirmed when he say the small one turn away with a sigh, the small worry in his stomach now a heavy stone. He knew Oboe would not be happy at whatever was to be said but also knew their was nothing he could for him. Much the same as when he was on Namek he would have to stand by and let others take of it for him. It was becoming a frustrating nightmare for him and his own lack of power.
"Prehaps we should let them catch up as we look around the planet?"
He suggested in a low voice after making his way over to his brother, a small part of him wanting to see this planet and another small part of him wanting to leave before he felt powerless again. It was true that he wanted to see a world that was not their own as well as see what aliens were like when they were not attacking them at every chance they had. His ability to sense power levels also confirmed just the numbers of earthlings walked this world, a staggering amount of them compared to Namek. It was like comparing a pound to the ocean, a idea that both excited him and scared him in a small way. It was during this question he overheard the news of Oboe's friends, a fact he had guessed correctly making him sigh as he turned to see Oboes face. He did not want to see his mentors face but he knew he could not run form it.
"I am sorry about your friends Guru. I hope at least the one named Carro recovers soon"
He said slowly unsure if he should say anything at all, a lesson he had learned form the destruction of his village. Sometimes people did not want to hear condolences and just needed time alone with their pain. He also knew that it was not always a good thing but loss was a tricky subject with no real rules to follow on what a person might need. Turning to his brother he gave a nod as he went silent or at least for a moment before a bit information hit his ears.
"What do you mean you lost him? He could not just vanish into thin air with a power like that?! Surely some one knows where he is?"
He roared aloud, his fists clenched in anger that the demon was still around causing terror and destruction. While he was more talkative then his brother he was never one to be loud, his words were simple but carefully chosen. It was this fact that Xanathar nearly jumped at his own voice, his own outburst scaring even himself as he let out a deep breath. No he knew better then to expect much to be done about that monster, facing him unprepared would only end in poor chimes death.
"Forgive me.....he is a sensitive subject for us and I can't expect you to put yourself carelessly in harms way. Prehaps it would be best for me to leave the lookout with my brother to clam down and let you two catch up?"
He replied after a moment, his normal calm voice back as he tried to appear back in control. He knew he was not but he needed to bear with it at least for the time being, his mediation helping him more then he thought as he awaited the two Guru's verdict.

The Namekian elder smiled as Kami introduced himself to the two brothers. He was very satisfied that the duo had presented themselves in a polite and respectful manner. He could feel Xander’s fidgety nature, the planet itself acclimating to his unique senses, so he was thankful the young Namekian hadn’t lost his decorum with the sheer pulsing wave of Earth’s Elements overwhelming him. As the duo finalized their conversation with Kami – Oboe was taken aback as the smaller of the grouping addressed the individuals he’d mentioned wanting to see. His ears twitching as he listened intently to everything that Chime had to say.
“I…I see…” The news about Carro was troubling, as too was the fact that he was immediately told that his healing magic would be of no assistance in this situation. It was a helpless feeling he wasn’t used to feeling, especially when it came to helping the injured. Still, as it was explained further Oboe found himself agreeing with understanding as Chime continued. He had no reason to doubt the little Namekian’s words so – in lieu of this – he did not push the matter further.
“Well then, I’ll need to visit this, Tianum, as soon as possible. Im sure Master Carro left word that I may be reaching out for more Plexbots. They’ve been instrumental in helping us rebuild the new villages. Perhaps she’ll be able to assist me with ordering more..”
Oboe wanted to discuss the rebuilding efforts on the Planet with Chime, tell him about all the changes coming yet – as he Mentioned Tarch, Oboe found the words lost on his tongue. Staring quizzically at the younger Namekian, Oboe asked;
“What about Tarch?”
As Chime explained the color in his skin began to pale. Tarch was dead, slain by the hand of the same Demon he’d encountered on Namek shortly after the destruction of Oros Village by Kitiana; His name had been Sensoa Ghoun. Kami continued to explain that in a hunt for – of course – a Dragon Ball, Tarch stood his ground against the armored Demon and in that act had doomed himself to death. It didn’t seem real! Even as the words echoed within his mind he struggled to accept them as they were. Tarch was no weakling, not even in the slightest. His last view of the young man had been of his mighty super Saiyan prowess! Even when he compared the boy to the Demon he’d met, he couldn’t fathom how the other had killed such a strong youth! He couldn’t of been that strong…could he?
As Chime finished, Oboe was silent. He said nothing for a time as he nodded in acceptance to the information – specifically that the Guardian had lost track of the demon. Stepping forward, towards the edge of the lookout, staring down at the clouds below, Oboe was lost in his memories. Images of the young boy flying across namek, fighting alongside him in a demonstration to his brothers, the youthful smile of innocence when his mother had been revived. As these images flashed through his mind, a feeling snapped him out of his reverie.
Tears were streaming down his cheeks, as he stifled the sobbing from within. As if in response to his emotions, Oboe’s strength began to leak out a tad causing the lookout to tremble for a short moment. With a mighty grip of anger in his chest, Oboe would grip his head and yell upward towards the skies above.
“DAMMIT!”
Unable to hold in his emotions a second longer the Guru fell to his knees a wreck. Now the Sobs Came as he pounded his fists onto the Tile beneath his feet. Each strike caused the lookout to tremble before he threw his head upward and released a mighty roar of agony. It was clear, to the others, that whomever Tarch had been, he had meant the absolute world to Oboe. After a few more seconds, Oboe began to compose himself as he wiped his face off. Without turning to the others, he simply asked;
"...Chime. How many Dragon Balls have been gathered...I would know how difficult my journey will be..."
Turning he stared at the three;
"Before I begin hunting for a way to revive my friend."
