Appearance
Athel’s a 5’ 7” humanoid demon with pale skin. While one could definitely mistake them for a Human at first, a keen eye could definitely point out some things just dong seem right. They have piercing onyx eyes, most of her eyes consisting of her pupils. Oddly enough, Athel doesn’t seem to blink at all. Their hair is a color very similar to her eyes, though just a tad bit lighter. When speaking, it’s possible to get a glimpse of her pointed teeth. A black hooded cloak is almost always worn by the Demon, hood up and covering her eyes more often than not. Her cloak covers the entirety of their arms, a black gloved hand might make an appearance every so often.
Background
Many years ago, deep within the Demon Realm, a lone child crawled out from a cavern. They were eventually found by a small band of Demons and was dragged to a nearby settlement that they had created. Many years passed, the child not seeming to age a whole lot as time went on. Even as they neared fifty years old, they only had the stature of a ten year old Earthling. The youth focused on learning as much as possible, spending a fair bit of time with each of the individuals that inhabited the little settlement. They taught her basically every thing she needed to know. From simple stuff like speaking, reading, writing and the like, to certain skills, like hunting, fishing and trading. The child was relatively happy with how things were going.
Nothing ever remains exactly the same, though- especially not in the Demon Realm.
When the youngling found themselves being in the settlement for around ninety years, a much larger horde of Demons seemed to move in nearly over night. While a handful of the current settlers were a little disgruntled about the new arrivals, the child had no qualms with it, really. After all, with new beings, came new minds. And new minds meant more things that they’d be able to probe for information. Sadly, most of the newcomers weren’t so keen on sharing their knowledge. With some pestering, the youngling managed to get some very basic combat skills out of them, but that was about it. Even though they hinted at having power much greater than they let on, none were willing to share. It made the youth.. angry. Knowledge should’ve been shared, not hoarded.
Her anger was leading them down a rather dangerous plan, deciding on using them basic fighting skills to try and beat the knowledge out of the others. Sadly, as one could expect from a novice, the whole stunt ended with the youth getting beat instead. And with nothing to really gain from the whole ordeal, too- Well, nothing right away. As they spent time recovering in their little home, the young Demon was greeted by a visibly older, light blue skinned woman. They offered to pass on their knowledge to the youth, as they had been impressed by their little display. And thus, a long mentorship followed. Years were spent under the guidance of their Master, absorbing every bit of information that was passed along to them. From combat techniques, to even more survival skills. They didn’t ignore a single bit of the teachings. Most importantly, the child was finally given a name. Athel.
As Athel approached three hundred years old, managing to magically retain the very young appearance of a twenty year old, the Master seemingly vanished without a trace. No mater how much the youth scoured the Demon Realm, there was no sign of her teacher. Though confused, Athel felt that perhaps it was for a reason. Maybe it was time to go out into the living realm in search of new sources of knowledge. And so, adopting their Master’s clan name, Athel Calarook found their way traveling to Earth in hopes of blending in and learning even more.
Techniques
Scary Purple Beam [A1]
Summoning up a handful of their energy, Athel creates a thin beam of energy that's shot at a target. Though small in size, it's capable of even piercing through boulders. Needless to say, if a person were to get hit by it they'd be in for a surprise! [Deals damage equal to 33% of Athel's PL.]
Telepathy [UT1]
A very rudimentary understanding of Telepathy grants Athel communication with those they are familiar with across the planet they are currently on via mental transmission, this can be blocked out, if a target doesn't wish to hear Athel's beautiful voice. [This technique uses 0 KP in a KP Battle.]
[Third Starting Technique Coming Soon™]
Transformations
Passion
[x2]
Drawing on their passion to learn more about an opponent's fighting style, or just trying to finish a fight quicker to get back to learning is primarily the only time Athel can ever be seen drawing on this power. Even if it doesn't provide a massive boost in strength, the young Demon still likes to lay low. Aside from the noticeable increase in power and speed, her eyes shift from their usual onyx hue to a more crimson one.
Unbridled Anger
[x4 - Requires Devil Lamp]
Though their Master had taught them to refrain from letting their anger control them entirely, sometimes it just can't be helped and a target truly needs to feel the Demon's wrath. Upon reaching this state, their sole focus is on crushing the opposition. Mostly grunting leaves them, though a handful of words might break out at some point. Athel's eyes become a crimson hue, their hair even becoming a tad bit crimson as anger takes over.
