Suri seemed to have taken quite a liking to flying out to forests. While it wasn't silent, it was quieter compared to the concrete jungles, and it provided her solitude. An occasional break from wandering the busy city and meeting new people didn't hurt. She could relax, recharge her social energy, all that. While Suri's room back home was also quiet enough for meditating and such, forests allowed her to train without bothering anyone. No worries about breaking anything, with more than enough space to do as she pleased.
The Bamboo Forest was one of many good places for that. It was one of the closest to Suri's hometown in the East, and it only took a short moment before she arrived. Suri hovered around for a couple minutes to look for a decently spacious clearing, before making her way to the ground. "This looks like a good spot for today." Suri said while looking around, searching for a place for her bag. "Aha." Suri spotted a decently sized rock. With a swift chop of her hand, she cut the upper half clean off. "There, makeshift table." Suri placed her backpack on the now flat top of the stone. The severed top half went flying off into the trees, vanishing from sight.
And then...Suri heard the sound of it hitting something, hard.
"GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" An angry, bestial roar followed, causing nearby birds to fly off, and making Suri jump. "Eep! ...So much for that quiet meditation session." A dinosaur walked out from the jungle, with a newly-formed bump on its head, looking for whatever had just caused its pain. The poor thing. Suri hoped she hadn't caused the creature any brain damage. The bipedal beast reared its large head down, spotting Suri. Looking up, Suri waved from where she stood. "H-Hello, Mister T-rex!" She said to the Allosaurus. "I'm sorry about your-" The dinosaur, in its blind rage, began charging towards the blue Majin.
"Woah, jeez!" Suri said, jumping out of the way. The carnivorous lizard tried to eat Suri, but all it got was air and dirt. Still, it turned around, aiming to try again. Suri just sighed, lowering her head. She was going to have to knock the dinosaur out. "...Alright, I'll make this quick..." Suri said under her breath.

Sorry about the delay! I'm here!
Thread PL: 26,895
Items: Scouter, Z-Sword Sgiath's training journey had taken him to the far East on the main continent. Specifically, it was to the Bamboo Forest, and once more, it was due to some sort of training regiment that Frederick had in store for Sgiath! He wanted him to try finding someone who could show Sgiath a thing or two how to really use a sword! Lately, the chef turned vigilante swordsman had been slacking off, despite having swam across the Northeastern sea to Jingle village, had that incident with Chromo, Pheno, and that pointy eared girl during Christmas time! He wound up staying there in the village for the season... And then for about a month after that which called for Frederick to get Sgiath back on track. Frederick had Sgiath swim back across the Northeastern sea and then go for a long, but speedy run to these lands, promising that they'd find the person who'd teach Sgiath how to better use the sword. Sgiath wasn't sure what to look for here. He asked, "Well, this is your friend, Frederick. Where to?" 'You ever hear of those monks that live alone in the mountains here,' Frederick asked Sgiath, 'You know, the one's who're always fantasized about in games and stuff?'"Which? The ones that are about absolute restriction and balance of oneself or the priestly monks that exercise ghosts with swords and stuff?" 'It's a bit of a combination of the two. Think the Crane School and the old Turtle School.'"... You want me to go looking for what is almost a dino-" As if preemptively summoned by Sgiath's sentence, the sound of one of the large reptiles cut Sgiath off! There was an enormous amount of thrashing going on to Sgiath's 10, about fifteen hundred feet away. It sounded pissed! Sgiath put his hand on the hilt of his sword, sarcastically asking, "So am I to be looking for one of those, Fred?" Frederick groaned, aggravated. Sgiath chuckled a bit, then stating with a tap of his scouter, "We'd best check if that's your friend. If they can help me with the sword here, maybe they'd be strong too, right?" 'Reasonable assumption, but I don't think that it'd constitute the n-"Fred paused, peeking through Sgiath's own eyes at the enormous number that was flashing on screen. 100,000..! What were the odds of Sgiath coming across someone this strong out here?! Before anyone could process this, Sgiath had been rushing over to the spot, picking up a spot near a denser section of trees that he could hide behind while observing what was going on. It'd been a blue-grey Majin with the massive power level! She seemed exhausted, but was looking over the rage beast, an allosaurus. Suri

Due to her lack of energy sensing ability, and her focus being solely on the dinosaur in front of her, and perhaps because Sgiath's stealth was so on point, Suri didn't notice his presence.
Suri was busy trying to figure out how much power would be enough to subdue the allosaurus. She intended to give the creature a hit on the head, but her energy control wasn't very good, and she was a bit out of practice, too... If she used too little force, the beast would brave the attack and maybe bite back. Too much, however, and there would be nothing left of the creature's head. "Woah!" Suri jumped over the dinosaur as it made another attempt at Suri's life. "Okay buddy, I'd rather not kill you, but you're not helping me here..." She said, futilely to the dinosaur whose only response was a confused grunt.
"Oh, I know!" Suri decided to give her strength suppression a test-run. She landed in front of some trees, raising her fist towards them. She used her energy to fire a chilling blast of air at them, with her intention being to only use enough power to take one or two down. However, she made a miscalculation, as she would soon find out. The shockwave of Suri's kiai would end up annihilating more than a dozen trees in a straight line, if it was allowed to continue. The loud crack would do the job of scaring the dinosaur away, but at the cost of some unnecessary destruction...

The Majin girl seemed to be having an issue in controlling the situation. Sgiath was wondering if she was trying to avoid harming it in some way, or perhaps she wasn't focused... Perhaps both, for her words said enough as she deftly avoided a huge bite from the large reptile! Sgiath snorted a laugh back, trying to keep his position hidden. She did seem to get an idea, though, and positioned herself fairly close to to Sgiath's position. '... Boy,' Frederick muttered into Sgiath's head, 'I'm going to request you move us...'"What, I'm interested in what she has planned," Sgiath replied, keeping an eye on the girl, "Listen, things should be fine. She's probably gonna get it to ram its head into the-" A boom of her Kiai cut Sgiath off, blowing him off his feet with a yelp as a dozen trees were uprooted from their homes! Thankfully, Sgiath wasn't out of control entirely. He stopped himself midair and shifted swiftly out of the falling trees' paths with a kick to a bamboo tree in his path. This, however, launched him into the enclave where the allosaurus and the girl were at. The allosaurus had been spooked by the display of power, but Sgiath's appearance made him the subject of its anger. The glare made that apparent to Sgiath. "Oh, come on," Sgiath complained, drawing his Falcata out. He called out to the lady, "Lady, I don't know what you were aiming to do by attacking the trees instead of this guy, but I think all you did was just piss it off!" The allosaurus rushed towards Sgiath with a audible roar! Sgiath readied the sword, whilst manifesting a faint blue shield in front of him. He knew he could take this thing down without an issue, but considering the girl was trying to not kill the beast, he was left in a bit of a predicament. How'd he fell this beast without slaying it? Suri was surpised, first by the amount of destruction she caused, then by the reveal of a person who had been there all along. Suri's eyes widened, and she quickly pulled back her fist, shouting out "O-OH my god, are you okay??! I'm so sorry!!" He was a ki-user. Thank goodness he was a fighter. The warrior's scolding was 100% justified. Suri didn't get to figure out how much strength to use, and she had almost hurt somebody too! And to imagine, if it was someone else, someone without any powers...
Crap. The dinosaur was only scared for a moment, and now it was eyeing the newcomer! Suri had no concern over her own safety against the dinosaur, but this guy? She had no idea what he was capable of, whether he was really strong, or if he only knew the basics. That tail looked awfully grabbable, though...! She had a new idea.
A small puff of icy vapor escaped Suri's steam holes, together with a bit of magic. Briefly, Suri glowed a strawberry-red, before she sped forward, leaving behind an equally red trail of light behind her. She slid between the dinosaur's legs, and she grabbed its tail, digging her fingers into it. "Sorry, Mr. T-Rex, this will only be for a minute!" Suri said, as if the Allosaurus would listen. Before the lizard's brain could register the pain, Suri would levitate upwards, bringing the creature with her! The confused dinosaur's head would not be too far from the ground, making it as easy to hit as a pinata. "Now, mister!" Suri shouted.
Only after doing so, did Suri actually think about what the swordsman may do. He had pulled his sword out, perhaps he would kill the carnivore and be done with it? Well, it wasn't like Suri would blame him for that. Her stubborness to not kill the creature had caused him trouble, after all.

This girl was fast, to ridiculous levels! Not to mention, immensely strong with her lifting up the creature into the air. Sgiath finally blinked in that short frame, and when the she called out to him to do whatever he was going to do, and with an apology to the creature, Sgiath knew what she wanted: Knock them out. 'I can do this,' Sgiath thought, leaping up to them with his strong legs and, before the creature could realize what was going on, the swordsman bashed the hilt of the sword into the creature. It'd be launched out of the girl's hands and land with a notable quake. The creature's eyes rolled into its head. Sgiath thought he may have hit the creature too hard, but when he approached, he could see its form expanding with each sparse breath. He sheathed the sword to the side of him... Although, it was more like it just magnetized to him. It would no doubt confuse the girl seeing this. He'd turn from the beast, walking away from it feeling it was safe enough to do so. He spoke, smiling slightly, "Thanks for the help there. I wasn't too sure what to do there, considering this was your exchange in the first place..." Sgiath paused, seeing that there was something looked like picnic items that were scattered all over the area, food included! He blinked a few times, putting two and two together. Did the beast pick up the smell of the food? He asked, to be certain, "Were you aiming to just have a picnic in this area, Ma'am?" SuriMy bad on the wait. It seems my posting periods are cementing to Friday through Sunday? I can't say for certain, to be honest.

Woah! When the swordsman hit the dinosaur, he actually knocked it out of Suri's hands! Suri floated down, glancing toward the unconscious creature to check if it was alive as well, before her attention shifted back to the swordsman...'s sword. "Oh, some kind of automatic sheath? Must be some expensive tech... Or is it magic?" Suri questioned, pretty nonchalantly. While she had never seen technology like that, it was pretty easy to imagine it existing in this age. If it was magic, it actually would be easier to understand for the magic user Majin. Though she only asked for curiosity's sake, as that kind of thing wouldn't be useful to a non-sword user like herself.
When Sgiath thanked Suri, she shook her head and said, "Nononono! No need. I should be thanking you, actually! I was sort of having trouble with holding back, I didn't know how much strength I should use. It's a good thing you were here. I didn't want to kill that poor guy, he was just angry because I kind of...hit him with a rock." Suri admitted sheepishly, scratching her head. "...accidentally!" she added. "Oh, and again, I'm really sorry for getting you caught up in the blast just now!" Suri apologetically bowed, and walked a bit closer to look at the armored warrior's body, up and down. "Y-You aren't hurt, are you...?"
"Hm?" Picnic? Suri tilted her head at his question, before she looked around. Shock ran across her face, before she sighed, quickly accepting what had happened. Suri had neglected her bag during the scuffle, and now its contents were laying on the ground. At least, her lunch was...along with things like napkins and towels and such. Her training weights seemed to have stayed inside, probably because of how heavy they were. Was that why he thought Suri was having a picnic? "No, I was...actually going to train here." Suri said, walking over to her backpack to pull out weighted bands and dumbells. "Those are..." Suri took a sweeping glance towards the scattered food on the ground. "were what I was going to have for lunch later, but...oh well!" Suri shrugged, and smiled. It wasn't a big deal, she'd just make some more later.
Right now, Suri had some cleaning up to do. The Majin used magic to make a broom and tall dustpan, before she started to sweep up the food on the ground, which she now considered to be unedible. "And you?" Suri would ask. "What are you doing out here, mister...?"

The girl brought up Sgiath's sword being placed at the side without a sheath strapped on him, asking if it were tech-based or if it was magic based. Sgiath spoke honestly, saying, "It's magically endowed. I don't know with what, on top of who or what made it. The spirit connected with it doesn't know either." 'Oh, are we introducing me to people,' Frederick asked, before quipping, 'You do remember that I can only speak with you, magical folk, and spirit-relate folk, right? Not all Majin are as Magical as some of their counterparts, I'll have you know.'The old, battle-worn voice of Frederick had been, unknowingly, was touching upon the outer edges of the girl's mind. Perhaps it was due to her being Majin or something else. It would sound a bit muffled to her, like hearing a conversation going on behind a thin wall with the door closed. Some words could be made out, but others seemed incomprehensible. "Well, Frederick. There's no harm or foul play if she's able to actually hear you..." Sgiath paused as the girl apologetically thanked Sgiath for stepping in when he did, mentioning having difficulty over her own control of her strength. It was how this whole thing started up in the first place, in fact! She also explained the picnic was just her lunch after being alerted about it. Sgiath waved his hand to here question, telling her with assurance, "Ah, I'm fine. Just wasn't expecting you to be knocking the trees away in the manner you did before! My apologies about your lunch." After materializing a dustpan and a broom into her hands to clean up the ruined meal, she asked Sgiath about his reason for being here, and his name too. "Sgiath Iàidir. You can call me Scott or Addler, if either part of my name's difficult to pronounce," Sgiath introduced. He held up the sword slightly, explaining, "There's a guy who decided to attach himself on here by the name of Frederick. He was once a Knight in the Fortuneteller's Desert a long time ago and used this sword himself." 'Young Lady, if you are able to hear me, good day to you.'Suri

So it was the latter, the sheath was magical. "I see, magic..." ...Huh. Suri could swear she heard another voice speaking. Muffled...distant, perhaps there was yet another person somewhere nearby?
The swordsman assured her that he was fine, and he did seem to be from the looks of it. No external signs of damage, and he wasn't acting like he was in any pain. Suri sighed in relief. "I'm glad. I wanted to test out how much power to use, then hit the dinosaur with that, but I definitely overdid it, and I didn't know you were there, either..."
Feeling shame for her incompetence, Suri ducked her head and quickly finished up her cleaning, wrapping everything up in a plastic bag before encapsulating it. "Well, this is no one's fault but mine, because I wasn't paying attention."
The man introduced himself as Sgiath Iàidir. 'Sugiyath...Yaideer?' Suri made an attempt to pronounce it in in her head. Probably a good thing she didn't try it out loud. Well, there were the alternatives. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Addler. My name is Suri, Ma Suri." Though Suri didn't intend to ask for his name, it was only fair for her to return the favor, so she introduced herself.
Hm?
Wait, the sword was alive! Apparantly he was a knight, who then became a sword? "Wh..." Suri, after a moment of hesitation, leaned closer to Frederick, and said " Er, good day to you too, Mr. Frederick. So, you're a...spirit, possessing a sword? How did you manage that? Aren't you sent to otherworld when you die?" Bit of a chilling thought that was, a ghost clinging to the living world by becoming an object.
"And," Suri stepped back so she could look at them both. "I'm guessing you're a knight as well, Mr. Addler? Are you out here to train, too?" Suri asked, bringing up her previous unanswered question again.

The girl was quick to accept this, it seemed. This boasted good news for the former chef student! He'd not be treated like a lunatic.
She, Suri as she would later on introduce herself as, went to describe that she was using the punch from earlier that brought Sgiath out of his hiding spot as a means of gauging herself before actually punching the beast. She was quick to blame herself, but dismissed it with politeness in her tone as she greeted, 'Addler.'
She then picked up on Frederick's voice, choosing to lean closer to the sword and greeted him! Frederick was elated to learn she could hear him! He replied, 'Yes, normally! However, this sword's a 'wonderful' little item that, if anyone using it doesn't properly train themselves, can in fact destroy much more than they can protect... I'd use quotes around the word, 'wonderful,' if I had fingers to work with. Anyway, I chose to stay to guide whoever the sword would bond to next, which ended up being Sgiath here.'
Suri seemed bothered a bit by something and stepped back. Sgiath raised an eyebrow, and then tried to tell Suri that he was no knight... Frederick was much louder, with his voice booming loudly and proudly as the realization washed over him as well!
'He is absolutely my squire, yes! Squire, hold me up to her!'
"I will absolutely not," Sgiath bellowed back, leering at the sword since he had no means of actually looking at Frederick, "And I am not your squire! I'm a guy who's-"
'Learning how to use the sword to defend the innocent and bring justice to the planet Earth from,' Frederick interjected with a smug tone, 'a knight. Prim and proper, too! You can actually find my history if you go to the Fortuneteller's Desert and locate Castle Eideard.'
"... I'm not gonna hear the end of this," Sgiath muttered to himself. He looked back to Suri, putting the sword back to his hip. He told her, "On the training note, I am here for that. As Frederick stated..."
'SIR Frederick, squire.'
"ANYWAY! Despite what you saw before, I actually don't know how to control my energy safely, too. Can't even sense it for the life of me, which is why I've got these scouter glasses."

Well, the sword's inhabitant certainly seemed lively for a man with no body! Frederick explained how he ended up in the sword, and what was special about it, although Suri didn't quite fully understand what he meant by "'Destroy more than they can protect'...?" Suri questioned with a confused expression. "Will it harm you without proper control, is that what you meant?"
Suri's eyes widened when Frederick declared that Sgiath was his squire with a loud voice. Sgiath was denying it very much, so he probably wasn't one, Suri decided to believe. She did find their back-and-forth kind of funny though, and she couldn't help but let a giggle escape her mouth. "W-Well, regardless of your title, I think that you have a wonderful goal." Suri smiled, trying to be reassuring. They had similar objectives, it seemed. Suri's eyes sparked up with more interest when Frederick brought up the castle he used to be in. "Castle Eideard... Does it have any other magical items like your sword? Well, even if not, I'll visit it sometime to read."
Sgiath said he was out to train as well. Apparantly he wasn't good at energy control either, despite earlier, and he couldn't sense energy. "I guess we both need to work on those..." Suri said, nodding. "While I've never been able to sense energy either, I feel like I was pretty okay in terms of control before... But then I actually went into a coma because my ki and magic went out of control, so I know how dangerous that can be. Now I've recovered, but I'm still pretty out of practice." Suri explained with a somber tone, then sighed. It was pretty unfortunate all around, missing multiple holidays, waking up to many worried family members, and feeling so weak and sick...
But then a slight grin found itself on Suri's face, as the Majin got excited for what she would ask next. "Maybe we could help each other train? Would you like to have a sparring session with me, or something? I'm pretty durable, so you could test your strength against me like I did with the trees earlier!" Suri suggested, with the most enthusiastic tone she had used all day. Though, she had no idea how hard the swordsman and his possessed sword could hit, and gosh, it sure would be embarrassing to be knocked out right away after that. So, Suri asked Sgiath, "Um, before anything, though... Could you use your scouter glasses to tell me how strong you are compared to me?"

Suri asked the two if it'd hurt Sgiath if he wasn't trained to use it. That was a question Sgiath wanted to know himself. Frederick replied, 'Not entirely...'
"What does that mean," Sgiath asked the sword aloud.
'I'll explain later on. In regards to Castle Eideard, it probably still does! It depends on the time of year, naturally. Like all castles, it has secrets that require specific times to access them, as well as a lot of trap-related hooplah.'
Suri's next remark was about herself. She explained of a coma that affected her ki and magic abilities, something that Sgiath hadn't heard of before! Although recoverable, the idea of it intrigued Sgiath. Most of the time in the chat, Suri was somber, probably recalling multiple things as she spoke of them. However, the first time since they started talking, she smiled. She asked if they could train with each other, saying she was fairly durable. She did also essentially recommend comparing Sgiath's power level to her own.
"The glasses were actually how I came across you in the first place," Sgiath retorted, pointing towards her, "I've had moments where I'm intensely focused and can do much more damage. However, even if I were focused, you could kick my ass with a couple of good punches, undoubtedly. Numerically speaking, you're at 100,000 while I'm roughly about 27,000."

Suri raised an eyebrow when Frederick postponed the explanation to later. It sounded pretty important... She actually didn't mind being left in the dark, but Sgiath, she was a bit worried about. He'd probably be fine, though, the spirit was going to remember to tell the sword's wielder about such risks, right?
The Majin was certainly intrigued by this castle Frederick spoke of, it and its secrets. "Oh, secrets? Like what?" She had gone adventuring into a jungle temple before, with magical traps and golems and all that, but she didn't know what kind of traps this place had... "Better look out for the traps, though...they must be pretty dangerous ones, right? All magical and such?"
"Oh, really?" So the scouter was how Sgiath found Suri, and it wasn't all the ruckus she had caused. It seemed like Sgiath always kept it active, and it took no time at all to detect a power level. Suri's eyes widened. One hundred thousand? Boy. "That's a...big number." Suri responded. She had no idea what it meant, but still. "I didn't know I was stronger than you, mister Addler... Would you still like to train, though?" Suri asked, not yet dissuaded.
"Training with a strong person helped me get stronger, perhaps it would have the same effect for you?" And besides, sparring with someone who was still very much superhuman would help Suri as well, she could use that, as she wasn't finding training weights very effective anymore... "I could hold back! Er, that's what my teacher did when he trained me, actually, and that worked out...pretty well, I think." Suri said, and scratched her head. Earlier she had problems with controlling her power, but now, she had a reference point. ¼ of her power? Easy peasy, just like the first time Nashi had trained her...and accidentally splattered her all over the Senbyō Tower's floor... Yeah, honestly, Suri was going to be pretty understanding even if Sgiath said no to her offer! "So, would you like to try...? Perfectly fine if you don't want to, of course." Suri asked, looking to Sgiath and Frederick with a patient gaze.

Alright, let's do this!
"Yeah," Sgiath replied to Suri's initial worried response to the power levels, "It'll be fine."
'Give Sgiath enough of a lesson on controlling strength and I'll tell you some of the secrets in the castle,' Frederick spoke up, sounding as though he'd been laughing behind his words!
Sgiath looked down at the sword and shouted, "I am not some thing you can prop up like a dummy and-"
'No, not a dummy... You are a squire! Squires do this all the time.'
The former college student growled in frustration. However, Suri brought up that she got this strong because someone stronger than her helped get her to her current strength! Sgiath had come across several people already that were quite strong to begin with, but never really got into a scrap with them. She proposed that she held back, despite having admitted she couldn't already. Suri gave him an out, but the prospect to train, and Frederick's berating, was something Sgiath had in mind.
"Well, I'd be disappointing both of us if I said no," Sgiath stated, putting the sword into his right hand and manifesting his shield in his left. He pounded the blade to it, telling her, "I'm gonna need to learn how to fight people much stronger than me! Come at me with you have!"
Sorry for the short post, but feel free to tear into this! I'll respond accordingly.

Though Suri was unsure if she would be able to do a good job of teaching anyone anything, the incentive Frederick offered was...certainly something she looked forward to. Nevertheless, "I'll try." Suri said, while smirking, a bit amused by the banter going on between the two. The blade spirit probably teased the warrior like this all the time, didn't he?
In any case, Sgiath's answer was a resounding yes. With a magic sword, and a freshly-conjured shield in each hand, Sgiath announced his acceptance! Suri smiled, excitedly nodding, though a bit nervous. It wasn't often that she fought someone wielding weapons.
So, she was going to make the first move, huh? Suri thought back to when she trained with Nashi all those months ago, as saddening as it was to keep thinking about him... Suri had no skills that allowed her to properly suppress her power, neither did the Senbyō, but what he did was, he moved in slow motion(for him). Like her master had done for her, Suri would make an effort to slow her movements down.
Closing her eyes, Suri took a low stance, right foot behind her, balled up fists, bent wrists, slowly nearing her face like a sluggish cat's paws. "Alright, then... Here I come, you two!" Suri said as her eyes shot open, and she pounced, jumping forward toward the swordsman.
First came a light palm strike with her left hand, as simple as it could be. Suri tried her best to slow it down, to the point where she got worried she made it too slow. Suri would tentatively throw the blow at Sgiath's center, aimed to push him backward, and she'd carefully watch the warrior's reaction before making any further moves.
