BACKGROUND: Manchester Brig is the son of Valorie and Henry Brig, two well known figures in the business world. The Brig family line has always been focused on provided energy services for those on Earth and it has earned them prestige and fortune. As the only son and heir of the multinational company, Manchester was expected from a very young age to grow up and eventually take his parent's place. He was provided the best education and the best amenities that one could possibly ever wish for. And he proved that he had the mind and tenacity to become as driven and successful as his family had been for generations.
But the predestined life of a CEO wasn't for Manchester and he knew it from a very young age. Despite having an almost genetic understanding of advanced systems and technology, the boy found the legends of Earth's long forgotten heroes far more intriguing. He would find reasons to sneak away from his everyday lessons to read stories of the former Z-Fighters and their battles to save the planet and beyond. Reading and watching segments on martial arts quickly blossoms an excitement and drive to learn what he can about fighting. Unknown to Manchester, his mother, Valorie, was a Saiyan who had denounced her heritage and had done everything she can to live as a human. As Manchester's interest in fighting began to grow, she became more guarded of him. Soon his interests were slandered and verbally abused and whenever he was caught trying to do research, he was punished.
Manchester soon started to show a more stern focus on his coming responsibilities, much to his mother's enjoyment. In his teenager years, it seemed as if he was taking a more serious consideration for what he was meant to do when he came of age. But secretly, the boy had become more rebellious than ever -- he just learned how to hide it better. Times when he claimed to be attending an event at school, he was meeting with local martial artists and studying under their tutelage. By the time he was seventeen, he'd proven to be quite the prodigy in martial arts. He knew once he turned eighteen, he would denounce his own destiny that had been planned out for him and set out on his own adventure. It was just a matter of patience.
