World of Souls | INVITE

    Night had fallen fast upon Central City. No more than an hour ago the sky was painted with hues of red, orange and pink, but all color had faded leaving only a pitch black canvas with no stars to be looked upon. The darkness was thick, the city had began to grow silent with the approach of night as its weary residents admitted to sleep. With the twilight, the once-bustling headquarters of Crop Co. grew silent and empty. The only echoes in the hall came from the hum of the vents... But the distant click of metal and hum of ki began to grow louder.

    Caper had grown weary. Saiyans retained their youth, but he really was getting to old for any of this. He'd double and triple-checked to make sure all the wires were where they should be, all the scans and graphs were perfect. If Carro still had a heart, it'd be beating faster than ever before as he traced a finger across his exposed mechanical core and the cables trailing out of it, up to the form of a familiar feline. "...Are you two sure about this? Last chance to back out." His father rang in concern. They'd both been at hard work with their plans, but he could tell his parent was apprehensive about it- his son ran off to his death, and he was willing to risk it all again. "Yes. We promise we'll be okay." Carro looked up to LEO as she spoke. "T-the only way to go from here is up, right?" They'd been to rock bottom, and now they had a chance to get out. He was afraid and hurting, but not even death could keep Caper's son down. His father frowned in concern, but he couldn't help but to feel proud of his son for still fighting.

    "Well... this might sting a bit then. Here we go." With one swift tug, Caper pulled at a nearby switch. Orange and green blazed through the cables as Carro yelped and LEO roared as shocks coursed through her body. Caper lifted his arm to sheathe his eyes from the blinding light.

    The quiet night was lit ablaze by a helix of orange and green that pierced the cosmos above. The ground quaked and the ki howled with power... But as quickly as it came, it dissipated into nothingness.

        "...Carro? LEO? H-how are you feeling?"
        "Better than ever."

    Early next morning, Caper wasn't surprised to find a flood of curious reporters at Crop Co's doors about the ever-so-suspicious hole in the roof and the reported surge of energy. "Look, we'll answer everything at King's Castle in thirty-some minutes," He'd smugly assured them. "Work's cancelled today, anyways." He'd sent out a memo to everyone to take today off- and another one to some of their more trusted members to head to the castle as well last night.

    At King's Castle, there was no Carro or LEO to be seen and a growing crowd of curious citizens and journalists at the gates when Caper made his way back. He couldn't stop a smug smile from forming across his face as he peeked out the window. He couldn't wait to see the look on everyones' faces.

To start, this thread will just be open to CROP CO folks- anyone else can DM me and other thread participants if they want to enter! This will eventually be a regular open if all goes well, though!
