Oboe scowled at being called a Monster. His recent evolution had been forced upon him by others monsterous actions – to be likened to such was more than an insult. Still, before he could mount an offense in the form of a retort, Carro’s blazing form was upon him. The damage being caused by the impact of this one person was astounding. It was hard to sense the life-force from Carro, a feeling that disconcerted the Namekian whom was used to identifying life with his senses. The strange void that feeling left perturbed and made Oboe uncomfortable with being near him.
The other in attendance, Kayen, continued to spit venomous words at the prone man. His body, now more than likely a lifeless husk, was forced to endure without a single ounce of remorse in his heart. His actions had, as she had stated, done nothing more than accomplished bringing anger from others upon him. Whatever great goals he had once held were seemingly lost within this one moment, this one choice to attack. If things had been different, Oboe could have seen himself truly understanding and liking the former king. They had much similarity in their own thoughts that he could’ve seen it becoming a thing.
No.
No more friendships, no more trust, no more kind words or open arms. This had all led to a single defining and painful moment. Oboe had been wrong. Everything he’d done in the effort to grow a better life had been for naught. Those he’d encountered had lied to him, used him and played off of his own fears. He’d been used, abused and made the fool. Oboe was just…tired. This exhaustion finally splayed itself in full view for all in attendance as he watched the finale with vested interest. Slowly, surely, his body would move towards Chime.
The young Namekian was the only person he could feel trust towards, the kinship they shared outweighing all of the negative. Yet, even still, there was a feeling of anger. While they stood here, Oboe was sure his Planet was Burning. While they focused on one man, for one planet, his world was dying. IT wasn’t Chime’s fault, it wasn’t Carros. Yet it was happening, and all the kind words and nice gestures offered by the many…suddenly felt as hollow as his inner self. Everything was coming to a close, and yet in his own mind, it was only just the beginning of a trail of pain.

If Vocado had a retort or taunt or warning for Kayen, it'd never come. She was a tough beast to provoke, annoyingly enough. So self-confident. If she was so great and mighty and unbestable, why wasn't she enacting some grand plan? That's what he wanted to say. To call her out on what he perceived to be a lackadaisical way of rule. He'd have to wait a while, he supposed, if ever he got the chance. There were bigger problems at hand. Sometimes he wondered how nice his life'd be if Carro was never born. If some other, powerless worm had taken the presidency. That's how earthlings were supposed to handle things, right? Through words? The growing power in his foe was unbearable. A beacon of hope, blocking out the shadow of Vocado's wicked plan. Carro was the sword that would slice through whatever aspirations Vocado had cooked up. He failed. Again. The monster's Ki reached fever-pitch. Whatever weapon Chime had given him extended outward at breakneck speed. Vocado growled, letting loose an explosive, showy beam of Ki. Its vibrant golden glow traveled to meet Carro's thin strand, and yet it was beaten back. Groaning and struggling, the Super Saiyan tried with energy he hadn't in him to fend off the encroaching death. Slowly, but surely, the energy he loosed was pushed back. Sizzling and whining against one another, it seemed inevitable that Vocado's Ki would be outmatched. Fitting, one might suppose. For all the bluster and bravado to be beaten away by hope's guardians. In a blinding flash, the energies exploded. For a small time, things were quiet...
In the dust, a rumbling shook the earth. Quiet and small, compared to the incomprehensible might of his opponents, but still a shuddering nonetheless. The collection of rubble broke apart, and a grasping hand pulled itself free of the binds that dirt and rock gave it. Vocado was still alive. He pushed himself to his feet. Shaking and quivering, yes, but standing. He sneered. Furious and vitriolic. Every inch of him should have been in pain, but he couldn't feel it anymore. Blood oozed from wounds he could not see. Much like Nashua before him, he sported a hole in his chest. There was no scream of pain or final realization that he had lost. No mournful, regret-filled speech or whimpering cry. Instead, he stepped forward. One shaky, imperfect step. He tried to summon Ki. Any sliver of power. But it failed. The energy whisked itself away on the morning wind, and he fell to one knee. Try as he might to speak, he choked on his blood. Hacking out some chunk of his innards, he drew breath, but it found no home. No matter how hard he tried, the air would not fill him. He tried to stand again, and all it did was bring his stance further down. His hand pushed against the ground, trying feebly to stand him up. It did not work. Fitting. Everything told him he should be scared, but the emotion could not register. At the very least, some sort of peace should have washed over him. But he was not so lucky. A blinding hate was all that engulfed him. He wanted to make Carro cry. To make him lose all feelings in every single nerve except endless dread. He wanted to make the boy watch as every living being in the universe cried out for someone, anyone, to help, and be met with stunning silence. He felt that for Kayen, too. He wanted to rip that sword right out of her hands, and shove it straight down her throat. She'd get to truly learn how the fight would end then. He pulled himself along the ground, trying desperately to get to the group for one last assault. He'd fallen prone at some point, though he couldn't tell you when. Even the simple act of moving his arm was impossible, and yet still he did it. Blood pooled behind him, dragging against the dirt like a snail's disgusting slime. Vocado did not get very far. With no air in his lungs, no Ki in his spirit, and no hope left for his plan, the pupils of Vocado's eyes faded away. Fate had been decided.
Vocado has perished.

Where Yogu's attack had seemed to happen in slow motion, LEO and Carro's happened in a series of instants, almost like a slideshow. Chime blinked and orange-green ki shot out from the faux power pole. He blinked again, and Vocado was firing his own counter-attack. Another blink and the conflicting attacks exploded, leaving a pile of rubble where there was once a power hungry Saiyan. Chime held his breath. Was it over, then?
No.
A hand shot out of the rubble, bleeding and battered but somehow still alive. Still moving. Chime's world narrowed down to a point again. He had to stop Vocado, no matter how much it took, even if it killed him. He raised his arm to point at the slowly approaching Saiyan and began to charge up a ki blast on his fingertip... and Vocado fell. Blue ki crackled at the end of Chime's finger as he watched the still form on the ground. Was this another trick? He couldn't be sure. The tension of waiting for more than a couple of seconds was unbearable, and Chime's whole arm began to shake. He fired off the blast, which sunk into a spot of exposed flesh under the broken armor. The corpse, because it was indeed a corpse, didn't flinch. Vocado was truly gone. The battle was over.
Chime's still-shaking arm fell to his side as he felt all the strength in his body give out. He fell to his knees as he stared, not able to believe what he was seeing. Was it over really done with?
The distant rumbling from the mountain broke him from his stare. No, it was not over. Vocado may be dead, but the rest of the battle was still ongoing. There were still allies in his mission for the Tree of Might, and Chime couldn't predict what they would do now that their leader was gone. Come to think of it...where was Cress? The other Saiyan had been loyally at Vocado's side at every point up until now. They were brothers, in a sense. Had Vocado been betrayed at the end? Abandoned? Chime wasn't sure, but it was a question that could wait for now.
Oboe had appeared at his side while he processed everything, and he reached up to grab the taller Namekian's robes and hauled himself back to his feet with strength he did not have. They couldn't rest yet. There was still work to be done. He looked to Kayen, to the amalgam of Carro and LEO, to Oboe...and finally to the still, mangled body of Nashua, and reached out to the four remaining telepathically as he stood there. It was coming to him easier than actual speech, for some reason.
"We're not done." Chime's monotonous voice said into their minds, "We need to get back to the mountain. Who knows what's been going on while we've been down here. We need to stop it, before anyone else gets hurt."

FUSED CARRO'S PL: 3,201,056 (x16P ACTIVE | ANTISENSE | 200,066 PL BASE)
Carro didn't know he had a breath to hold in anticipation as Vocado lashed out with one last, desperate counter. The heroes' might clashed against his ki, slowly pushing forwards to completely overcome and stop Vocado once and for all. Carro felt like he should have been happy- this horrible chapter to his life was finally coming to a close!... But only a sense of dread festered with each inch of distance his killing strike gained over Vocado's attempt to survive.
The former king was only prolonging the inevitable. With one last fizzle, orange and green swirled to pierce into his chest. Carro felt something akin to a heartbeat hammer in his chest, that phantom of a breath still locked tight in his throat. The bestial form he and LEO took flickered, buckling to their arms and knees with a fizzle of energy. Much of the ki making up the blazing feline detached and dissolved, leaving their much more familiar, Carro-esque form to slowly stand back up. The ki that once flare off him like wildfire now clung steadily. Carro looked back up. He felt like he had a fever. Was that his stomach churning in nausea, or just gears and rotors clicking in his chest?
There was a reason he tried to just vaporize Vocado and be done with it. He didn't want to see what he'd done.
Still leaning on one wobbling leg, Carro couldn't take his eyes off Vocado in his dying moments. There had never even been a single flicker of hateful vengeance in his soul. There would never be any satisfaction in the suffering of his enemy. Carro's hand went to clutch the ki gathering over where his own heart would have been on instinct as Vocado tried to crawl forwards. Blood stained the snow as Vocado finally began to collapse, but the horror persisted in the President's wide eyes. He suppressed his instinct to take a step forwards to help. The violent hate in Vocado's eyes made Carro unwillingly take a step backwards.
Finally, the monster was slain. The numbers slowly climbing down on his Scouter finally dwindled to zero. Vocado was dead. ...Dead, by his hands. Now Carro was to be the one branded with the label of "murderer."
Maybe it was a good thing the saiyan wasn't seeing any longer. At least in death, Vocado would be blissfully unaware of the harrowing nightmares Carro knew were bound to follow him from this day. The dead man would probably get a good laugh out of his suffering, that the phantom breath gathered in his throat would never flow outwards in relief. His fists unclenched, unblinking eyes still locked onto the body. He didn't notice the voice of the Kami in his head.
He managed to pull himself back to his senses after a few quiet moments, though the President hadn't noticed that his tail had tucked itself between his legs. "R-right." Finally acknowledging the earlier words in his head, Carro clenched his fists again and stirred what ki he had left. A few sparks of electrity fizzled from his body like sweat as he rallied his power despite the exhaustion, forming in a meter-wide circle on the ground. The orange disc swirled like a whirlpool, colors shifting to form an image- the bird's eye-view of the unfolding chaos in Mount Frappe's heart.
While the portal stabilized itself, he looked back up to the group. He quickly averted his gaze from Nashua's corpse. Chime looked exhausted. Kayen was a lot less worse for wear than he would have imagined. But Oboe- it looked like the Namekian had seen a ghost. "...If you want to go, go. You've helped. We'll be alright." The president's tired tone called to the Guru. Despite his own fatigue, he would still gladly shoulder any and all burdens he could for the others. At least Oboe and Chime wouldn't need to worry about being killers, right? Concern still welled in his soul- if he had the time, he'd have sat down beside the older Namekian to see what exactly was haunting him now. Sound began to emanate from the portal, though, the crackle of an immense amount of ki, shouting, suffering. With one more pulse of orange, the portal fully opened for the group's travel. LEO's warp drive was awful handy.
He looked back up to the Queen and the Namekians again, eyes still wide with a myriad of misery. One last time, his sights affixed onto Vocado's corpse. "...Sorry." He wasn't sure who he was talking to.
With one step forwards, Carro dropped into the rift in the snow, hopefully with his allies in tow. The glimmer of orange would finally fade in the tundra, letting silence finally overtake the snowy lands. This time, the quiet persisted.

And so it was done. Kayen was just a bit surprised with how… easy it was, she had sort of expected some last desperate move on Vocado’s part, some crazed gambit that might actually WORK, something to free himself and allow him to escape the President’s wrath, it almost seemed impossible that Vocado would TRULY be killed by anyone other than herself. Kayen watched the dust settle and as the power behind Carro’s attack dispersed she kept a keen focus on the cloud of dust, Vocado SHOULD be dead.. And she was shocked to find a glimmer of his power remained, and as the dust settled the beaten and battered body of the former King dragged itself to his feet, but it was clear as day that this was not some miraculous survival, that he had NOT pulled something crazy off. This was just Vocado stubbornly refusing to accept even the inevitability of his own death. He took a step and Kayen watched him flex his hand in a familiar if jerky manner, he was trying to summon her energy, probably to attack, but he failed, and he fell, and he died. Kayen gripped her sword as she felt the sudden mental intrusion but calmed when it became clear it was just Chime, why the Kami felt the need to use mental communication instead of words she was unsure but perhaps he’d gotten hit and had broken ribs or something, ultimately it did not matter much. “It probably shouldn't be ‘we’ you should take off Chime, we’re more or less in the clear now with Vocado gone, but there’s still enough powerful fighters over there to put you in danger and now more than ever you need to NOT be in imminent danger” That Chime had been involved in this at all was a bit insane, sure the Namekian dragon balls existed but they were still inert as far as she knew, if he fell it would make things immensely more difficult. “I’ll back up Carro once I’ve got things handled here. I’ll be blasting away what remains of Vocado so that we don’t end up with some Majin or BioAndroid happening upon him and being infected with his insanity, It’s also probably best I get Nashua’s body onto the Stormbreaker” Kayen said tapping her scouter “Barb, bring in the ship and have one of the med tanks prepped” Kayen spoke into the device, Barb would likely have a complete fit when it was confirmed for her that Nashua was dead, she likely already had an idea of it if she was keeping an eye on the scanners but having it truly confirmed would make it more real for her.

Chime voice reverberated within his mind, his call to action to help the others. Reaching out with his senses, he could indeed feel the same thing the other two must’ve. While this battle was won, another was still being waged and those fighting were on their last legs. Yet, even as Chime’s weak body pulled itself up upon his robes, Oboe was paused. He had promised the others that he’d be here for them in their time of need, that he’d assist them in protecting not only their Dragon Balls but their very world itself! Yet, now that the hour was upon him…with his Heart and Soul feeling fractured, burning as Namek was now – unknown to him – burning. Carro must’ve detected his hesitance – or what was passing for Carro at this moment. Being unable to truly detect a sembelance of “Life” within the president, now clearly aware of such things without the focus on Vocado, it unnerved Oboe. Namek didn’t house Androids or Biomechanics – outside of like…one instance – so being forced to encounter such things was still a new experience. His words were kind, empathetic to what Oboe was clearly feeling. Yet, even as he’d offered the out – Oboe couldn’t take it. He’d nod in response, the only feeble attempt at acknowledgement he could offer.
Even now, through everything, his eyes were locked on the lifeless, damaged body of his Friend. Nashua. The only person in the history of his life – outside of Ochra – whom had actually come back when he’d needed. Had helped, had laughed and though he had not been close to her, he had held her in high regard. To know that he had been unable to save her, unable to help her – or Chime, or Carro – to know that his mere presence was more annoyance than help? It wounded him beyond repair. He was not feeling himself, as if walking through a haze of memory and intent. Kayen’s words broke his thoughts even as the Robotic President opened the ‘portal’ before them, and leapt in. With a forced smile, Oboe would nod down to Chime and notion with his head to the exit-point created by their mutual acquaintance. His voice, a soft rasp, would be clear to the Namekian if not the other. “It’s alright Chime…Go Ahead, I’ll be right behind you. Its time we save your world”.
Turning to Nashua’s body, hearing the whirr of space engines as a ship began to break atmos to reach the surface below, Oboe realized he was running out of time. Extending his right hand outward, palm first, energy gathering within his open hand. Even if the Saiyan before him would misunderstand his intentions, he’d never give them the opportunity to try and stop him. A ray of light would emanate outwards, encapsulating the unmoving figure with a brilliant radiance. Slowly but surely the light would fade and in its place would be Nashua – body still damaged but cleaned up through magical means – lying peacefully within a crystalline coffin of ornate design. Turning to Kayen, emotion drained from his words, Oboe simply spoke; “The Coffin will keep her body from necrotizing before we can revive her with the Dragon Balls. There’s a hatch at the top, should fit a tube or such for that strange healing liquid your people use. I’d suggest keeping her in that state – when we return her to life her body will repair itself of all wounds and it’ll be like this never happened. I was not able to save her, your majesty – “The later use of the word was veiled with anger, but he did his best to contain. “- I did what I could, It wasn’t enough. This is the least I could do with such little time remaining…and…when she awakens…”
Once more Oboe stared at Nashua’s body. “Can you please tell her that the Guru of Namek is sorry? I…” He left the last bit empty. He knew it was his fault, words were not needed to remind him of such things. Without another thought, Oboe would leap into the portal created by Carro to go and assist with the Earth. He could only hope that his continued presence could be of some help to someone…when everyone else he’d hoped to help had already faltered. Oboe uses his Namekian Magic to Place Nashua's body in a beautiful crystaline coffin. Post by Chime on Mar 3, 2020 21:05:44 GMT -6
The firebeast's form shrunk down until it was no longer a beast, but a person. The silhouette was diminutive, and familiar just as the large creature's had been. It was Carro. Of course it was Carro, fused together with LEO as they had been before, only this time it was a more complete melding. It should have been obvious, yet it took Chime until this moment to fully realize who it was. He had recognized them as a friend at least, but the fact it took him this long to pinpoint exactly who it was, was worrisome. As was his continued inability to sense energy. It was as if Yogu's final attack had knocked out a satellite dish in his brain, and it was an unsettling feeling. This had never happened to him before, but he had also never been this exhausted before. But as he'd said just a moment ago, they weren't done yet.
Kayen, however, seemed to think /he/ was done. She urged him to stay behind while she and the others went to deal with what was happening on the mountain. There was some logic to that. If he died, there would be no Dragon Balls to revive everyone else with. Except for Oboe's set on Namek, of course, but Chime had no idea when those would be active again. Even if the Queen's idea was logical, Chime couldn't bring himself to do it. He was the Guardian of Earth, he couldn't let everyone else guard the Earth for him. There were people in that mountain that needed his help, who had asked for him specifically, and he had kept them waiting long enough. And on a more personal note... he looked over to Carro, where he was creating a portal to the mountain proper. There was sorrow in his friend's eyes, artificial or no. Chime couldn't abandon him now to clean up the rest of the mess alone. He refused to.
Carro vanished into the portal, and Chime turned to Kayen to shake his head. "I understand what you're saying, but I have to go." He told her, again via telepathy, "We need to have a talk when this is all over, but..." His gaze drifted back to Nashua's corpse, where Oboe was conjuring a coffin for her. His grim expression softened briefly into something more purely sad, "...I truly am sorry."
Chime could only bear the sight for a moment before he had to turn away. Without another word to anyone, telepathic or otherwise, he entered Carro's warp portal.
Chime exits this thread to enter the 'At the Mountains of Madness' split! He will enter after Oboe.

Kayen WAS have way ready to attack the unknown Namekian as he appeared ready to do SOMETHING to Nashua’s body without actually giving any sort of indication what it was he planned to do, her first expectation that he intended to destroy her body much like Kayen intended to destroy Vocado’s but whatever he did was fast enough that she only had Fateburn half ready to strike when Nashua was suddenly covered in some sort of crystal. “Hm, that’s useful, I’ll have my people see if your crystal...thing… is more effective a container than one of our healing tanks” Apparently the revival process would also patch up the damage that lingered on her body which was good, Kayen had been debating how best to handle that but if it was not a concern that saved her a bit of effort on that end. What really surprised her was the reveal that the Namekian was the Guru of Namek, Chime then spoke up recognizing where she was coming from with her suggestion… but deciding to do it anyway… Kayen blinked in confusion as her brain processed the situation “Wait you cant BOTH go you idiots!” Kayen shouted in annoyance as the pair departed through the warp portal. How foolish could the two of them BE? Chime going was bad enough considering his death would deactivate the Earth’s current set of Dragon Balls but the Guru going as well was complete insanity, at least before she had figured the worst case scenario was they would need to seek out the Namekian Dragon Balls to revive him. But now they were risking a scenario where BOTH sets could be deactivated.

Scallio's PL: 1,533,990 - Narissa's PL 5,000 Silently, Scallio stared down at the unconscious body in his arms as he flew. At this very moment the newly awakened Super Saiyan wasn't sure how to feel. His thoughts and emotions were at war with another. So much of him wanted to be angry right now, to turn around and finish what he'd started. He'd been so dead set on killing Aurora that he had even been willing to go against Kayen.
Scallio had thought that's what Narissa would have wanted him to do. But that had just been the anger talking, it had clouded his mind and overtaken him. He knew now that she'd have prefer him take the peaceful approach.
Even with that clarity, the rage was still gnawing at the back of his mind. It was taking every ounce of self-control Scallio had to not let it back in. A task made more difficult by just how badly he actually WANTED to give in.
He glanced from Narissa to the ground, scanning it for any sign of Kayen. Scallio hoped that she'd be able to help keep his anger control. Something she'd offered to before but he'd foolishly ignored her.
"There." Scallio muttered as he caught sight of her. She appeared to be alone and standing next what looked to be a coffin. Surely it couldn't be for Vocado could it? No, Scallio could see the man's corpse laying on the ground as he made his descent. "Kayen, I-" he began but stopped as he saw who was in the coffin.
"Oh." of all the people he thought likely to die today, Nashua wasn't one of them. Scallio hadn't known her for very long but she'd certainly treated him like he had. She was a one-of-a-kind Saiyan, unlike any that the mercenary had met before. She certainly deserved better than to die a top mountain on Earth.
Scallio averted his eyes from the coffin, his grip on Narissa tightening as he did. Was he to blame for this? Because it felt like he was. None of these people would have been here if not for him.
"I'm sorry Kayen...." as if apologizing would fix anything.

Post by Amara on Mar 5, 2020 15:51:40 GMT -6
Amara took a deep breath as the fresh air lifted a heavy weight from her shoulders, the Saiyan at least partially content with what had transpired. Scallio had finally seen reason. Finally decided that this fight wasn't one worth taking, and left. She'd been prepared to fight to her literal death if need be but... it'd be a lie to say she'd have liked that outcome. She drifted a ways behind Scallio, mood damper enough that anything the two said to each other would likely be brushed aside. The mountain was still as hectic as it was when they left, as far as they could tell, and with the noticeable lack of people outside Amara assumed they either left or were headed to the interior themselves to try and finish it.
She almost felt bad for that ghost. He was on his last legs and here came more and more people to beat him down where he stood, but such is your fate when you attempt to nuke the planet whole. If the attention and eyes were on him, all the better. Amara didn't want to have to "answer for her crimes" or talk to any of the self-righteous bullshiters that called themselves good. The Heran whose name she'd already forgotten or missed outright was cradled in Scallio's arms, the Saiyan ahead of her landing to speak with Kayen who was still in the area. Amara followed closely behind, touching down lightly and folding her arms with a harrumph.
The conversation had paused, Amara's eyes drifting down to the body of an unknown Saiyan resting within a... crystal coffin? The air was solemn enough to keep her mouth shut, but there was no emotional attachment upon viewing her. Just another causality of battle. The silence sat long enough (in her opinion) before she spoke up. "There's still the ghost in there. I don't think he'll be causing any more problems for anyone with the state he's in, and with Scallio and I retracting from the fight this whole battle is over." The corpse of the other Saiyan was nearby, though it was simply laying upon the cold hard ground rather than carefully preserved. "...How tough was he, that it took that many people to beat him and yet someone still died?"
The words weren't an insult, harboring something of incredulous ness on her voice. Amara shook her head, waving it off. "You don't have to tell me. I think as long as Scallio doesn't try to go back for whatever reason, we're done here." Giving Kayen a sidelong glance, the Stargoon offered a small, informal salute. "Your highness." She said neutrally, turning away. If she went unchecked, Amara would take off in a moment's notice, flying far far away and not looking back.

| Kayen PL: 3,420,000 / 2,850,000 |
Kayen was seething with frustration as the trio vanished, Carro going was fine, he had more than enough power even if he seemed a bit drained from the encounter with Vocado, to handle himself, the issue she had was with Chime and the Guru, sure the Guru had an impressive power level but it still made not an ounce of sense for the duo to be putting themselves in danger when it was not necessary. Chime in particular was especially frustrating as he was pretty much imminently needed. The only thing that managed to quell her frustration just a tiny bit was the sight of the Stormbreaker arriving on the scene meaning that very soon she could be done with all of this, to her surprise Kayen felt a pair of power signatures approaching, briefly she thought perhaps it was Chime and the Guru seeing reason, instead she found the first to arrive was Scallio. She raised an eyebrow at him as she reached out with her senses and found a few important things, firstly the spike in power from Kalabas, second that Ochra had arrived and seemingly prevented whatever attack Kalabas was preparing, and third, that all of the other power signatures she had picked up on were present. Meaning Scallio had NOT killed the Arcosian. Kayen remained mostly silent as Scallio tried to speak up but was cut off as he noticed Nashua’s body “You don’t have anything to be sorry about, I can sense that you made the necessary choice, and my word from before stands, if the Arcosian steps foot within the Kingdom we kill it, with luck you’ll be the one to do the job. Nashua will be back, I’ll make damn sure the Dragon Balls are assembled for her, with how much she’s done for pretty much everyone I can’t see Earth OR Namek getting uppity about it. It was probably best this happened now, I get the feeling Vocado played a part in her ending up dead, I DO wish I’d been there to try to prevent it but shit happens” Kayen said with a sigh glancing back at Nashua’s body, even if it was technically just a temporary thing it DID anger Kayen that Nashua was gone, more so than she expected. She had never really expected to see the kind hearted Saiyan as a friend, with her previous loyalty to Vocado she had mostly expected them to inevitably become enemies. “Vocado’s power wasn’t the issue, he was strong but as far as I can tell he likely used Nashua’s lingering loyalty to him to his advantage, he seems to have completely lost his shit” If THIS was where Nashua’s loyalty got her Kayen was very glad Scallio made the choice to stick by her side otherwise eventually this likely would have been the same fate for him. “I don’t really care for formality, call me Kayen. Swing by Vegeta some time if you want, I’m on pretty good terms with your team”

Scallio's PL: 1,533,990 - Narissa's PL 5,000 The mercenary didn't say a word, even if he did feel like Kayen was wrong, he remained silent. What good would his words do anyway? They wouldn't change anything. Nashua would still be gone, and while yes she could be wished back to life. She'd still have died and that would likely carry with it a heavy burden. One that Scallio couldn't even begin to imagine dealing with. In retrospect, it made his anger issues seem like pointless drivel in comparison.
"The Arcosian, Aurora, killing her isn't what Narissa would want." the Saiyan's eyes rested on the Heran as he spoke. "If I hadn't realized that at the last second, I doubt I would have stopped. Hell, I want to go back Kayen. I can feel the bloodlust eating away at me as we speak." could she relate to it or was this just simply him?
A curse he'd inherited from his father.
"This anger and uncontrollable fury pumping through my vein. It's not what I imagined being a Super Saiyan to feel like. Is it always like this? Does it always feel like you're on the verge of snapping?" Scallio pulled Narissa closer to him, it felt like having her close would somehow calm the storm raging inside of him. That might not have been true but thinking it was brought him some type of comfort.
"I wanted this so badly but if this is what it's going to be like I'm not sure I can handle it. The things I wanted to do to that Arcosian and the thoughts that ran through my head. It reminded me of my father, and I can't afford to let myself become that person. I'll kill myself before I let that happen, before I do to the people I love what he did to me."

Kayen raised an eyebrow as Scallio started speaking again, he seemed to have now collected himself enough again to say what was on his mind, and thankfully he remained firm in his decision that he would be standing back from fighting the Arcosian… the name though that caught Kayens attention briefly. Aurora. Why was that name so familiar? Definetly something to look into later since now it was a bit more important to deal with her current situation with Scallio and keep him from going berserk again. It seemed that his urge to continue the fight was even MORE than the usual drive to fight that being a Super Saiyan often entailed, it seemed from what Scallio was saying to be heightening of his previous issues with keeping his cool. “I imagine it’s a bit different for everyone. But from what I can feel the form DOES boost impulses that would make you want to keep fighting. Especially in as fresh of a state as you’re in, it took all of my willpower when I transformed not to kill Vocado, something I did because it was what Ramen and Nashua wanted, and to be honest with you, I’m not even entirely sure I DID manage to fully restrain the intent at the time, just refocus it enough to maim the bastard.” In hindsight of course letting Vocado live had been a terrible mistake but it was not something they could really change now. “But there is no need for you to get it in your head that you’ll need to stop yourself. You just need to learn to control it, and probably your other problems with your temper. With enough training the effect the form has on your mind can be heavily mitigated while also making the power you gain from it even greater” It might be best though if at least at first they avoided having Scallio develop the OTHER form considering it would likely just exacerbate things. The Stormbreaker could not quite land but it was able to hover near enough for retrieval pods to be deployed along with them a few members of the crew who after a few moments of shock began loading Nashua’s casket onto one of the pods. Kayen would step away from the pods and past Scallio over to Vocado’s body “It IS likely a fight we have to keep up for as long as we use this power. There are forms beyond even what I’ve unlocked and I doubt they will be any easier in controlling” she wondered if maybe a bit of the instability was what caused Vocado to become what he had. Kayen pointed her open palm at the body and began building energy as she let Scallio take in what she had said her intent fully clear, the destruction of Vocado’s body.

Scallio's PL: 1,533,990 - Narissa's PL 5,000 Hearing that with time and practice everything that he was feeling would diminish, gave Scallio a hesitant feeling of relief. His only concern was with how much time and practice he'd need. It had taken him years to properly control his Oozaru, and at times he barely felt like he was even capable of that. He didn't have years to learn how to control this like he did with the Oozaru.
There was no point in beating himself up over it now, however. His priority at this moment needed to be Narissa and her safety. Her body was still ice cold in his arms. Thankfully, Kayen's ship had just arrived and Scallio took it as his cue to leave. Scallio stepped into one of the pods as Kayen passed him. Turning to face the queen he spoke one last time, "Thank you for the advice Kayen. When you're finished here I'm hoping we can continue this conversation." he looked down at Narissa.
"You may want to hurry after Carro and the others. I'm certain Kalabas might have snapped after I told him of Vocado's death." the mercenary then glanced towards Nashua's corpse once more. A frown formed at the corner of his lips. "And again, I'm sorry." after he'd finished the pod closed and flew up back into the Stormbreaker.

Kayen watched the mixed emotions play across Scallio’s expression in the wake of her explanation, ultimately he seemed to be bolstered by it but she could tell some uncertainty remained, there wasn’t much Kayen could do about that right this moment, but with luck their training would be enough to prove to Scallio that she was right once it presumably began to do as she claimed. HOPEFULLY it did as she claimed, much as she wanted to be there was technically no certainty that Scallio’s problems would be solved by mastering the transformation, it would likely HELP but it was theoretically possible that it was more issued with Scallio himself that just made the form worse, but those could also perhaps be worked on between them. “We’ll get this figured out Scallio, I’ll see you shortly” Kayen said giving him a nod as he got himself into a pod and was brought to the Stormbreaker, Kayen meanwhile finished powering up her attack and with it built up Kayen grabbed hold of Fateburn and fed the energy through the blade ignighting it with golden energy as she slashed at Vocado’s corpse vaporizing it and a massive portion of the ground as well. The members of her crew present to set up Nashua’s casket to be brought up to the ship were briefly surprised by their Captain’s display of power but it only served to speed them up. With a sigh Kayen refocused her attention to the fight with Kalabas, several massive powers were on display and all of them seemed to be directed in opposition to Kalabas. Tapping her scouter Kayen would send a message along to Carro “Scallio and Amara have taken off, as far as I can tell Scallio has held up his end of the agreement, he’s back to his senses and with me. I’m going to take off to make sure things stay that way since it seems like you’ve got things handled there. I suggest destroying Kalabas, his loyalty lies with Vocado entirely. I’ll make sure to stop in by you before I go so we can discuss everything. Make sure that Aurora knows not to step into my Kingdom”
