"Seek out danger, and don't be surprised if it finds you, little one..." — Clarin
Few worlds have suffered so much for doing so little as Namek. It all began with a vicious massacre brought on by the vile Frieza in his pursuit the planet's sacred Dragon Balls to satisfy his longing for immortality. That quest ultimately brought armageddon to the Namekian people, but thanks to the efforts of the Z Fighters, Namek was able to survive and begin again. This peace was not meant to last, however.
In spite of Namek's attempts to put its violent past behind them, war and the suffering that it inevitably wrought always seems find its way back. Each of its invaders—whether they be the mighty Saiyans or corrupted androids—almost consistently possessed a covetous desire to summon the Porunga and make their wildest dreams a reality. These repeated offenses pushed Namek back on a bitter defensive and, for a time, a brutal counteroffensive—a far cry from the sweet innocence her people once knew.
In accordance with these necessities, more and more Namekians have begun training from an early age as warriors to prepare if the need ever arises to defend their world. The Namekian Alsetto was one such individual, having been hatched in Esca village under Elder Horn. The denizens of Esca were especially suspicious of outsiders, given Namek's history with such beings, and Horn painstakingly imparted this wisdom onto all those that lived under him out of fear of repeating past mistakes otherwise. Thus, this philosophy dramatically shaped Alsetto's worldview in his formative years.
As Alsetto grew older, he came to look up to a Namekian named Clarin, the most powerful warrior in Esca village. In a bid to prove himself to both Clarin and the village elders, Alsetto went out on his own one day hoping to defeat an adversary that he believed would earn him the recognition he sought. The expedition ended in disaster, however, when Alsetto found himself attacked by one of Namek's native pterodactyls. Fortunately, Clarin had been out and intervened in the attack, but not before the creature left Alsetto with three new nasty scars.
The village elders were left furious at Alsetto's reckless actions. At the insistence of Clarin, however, they agreed to allow him to take on the task of teaching Lute personally—though not for the reasons that Alsetto had hoped for. Clarin's training regimen began first with attempting to install a respect for life in the young Namek, insisting that it was wrong for Lute to seek out an opponent and that he had provoked the pterodactyl to attack by intruding on its territory. The Namek must coexist with other life forms, Clarin instructed. Eventually, Clarin's lessons began to extend to practical uses, starting with defensive techniques and utilities. While Clarin did teach Alsetto how to harness ki, he was careful to limit and discourage the use of raw ki, preferring a more zen-like approach to fighting over such destructive power.
While Alsetto progressed fairly well under Clarin, it was not without speed bumps. Clarin's approach often clashed with how Alsetto had interpreted the anxieties Elder Horn had warned of. After all, how could Namek remain on the defensive when violence had always kept finding them?
Eventually, Elder Horn passed away, forcing Clarin to step up as the new leader of Esca village. Such responsibility made it difficult for him to keep watching over Alsetto as he had done in the past, and thus Alsetto fell back on his childhood friend Lute in Clarin's absence. They continued to train among themselves and refine their skills, though it wasn't long before danger loomed over Namek once more in the form of the Scarlet Marauders.
Their leader Wasabi descended upon Esca village in search of riches and wealth that only Porunga could gift. Much to Alsetto's shock, Clarin seemed willing to cooperate to avoid a confrontation. Disgusted by this perverse desire for the Dragon Balls, the young Namekian and his friend stepped in to challenge the marauders, directly against Clarin's wishes. Though they proved more than a match for Wasabi's henchmen, their victory was ultimately short lived as the marauder leader quickly revealed to them just how much they had underestimated him. Lute was killed almost immediately and Alsetto would've quickly followed, had Clarin not intervened.
The death of his childhood friend had a profound impact on Alsetto, teaching him a lesson that Clarin had been unable to for so long. The experience humbled him, and though he still quietly disagreed with some of Clarin's methods, Alsetto became much more receptive and deferential to the aging Namekian's counsel.
All seemed well—that is until the untimely arrival of the Stargoons. With Namek once again on the brink, Elder Clarin has tasked Alsetto with helping move the children and other defenseless denizens of Esca village to a Namekian colony on Planet Vegeta while the remaining warriors join in the desperate defense...

TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUES
- Dragon's Fury [Ki-infused Melee Attack, A1]: Through proper Ki Manipulation, you have gained the ability to supercharge your melee attacks with Ki! The melee attack can be flavored however you like, and mechanically functions identically to a ranged technique. Deals 33% of your current PL in damage.
- Shield of Namek [Ki Barrier, B1]: Through some proper Ki Manipulation, you've gained the ability to summon a barrier made of Ki! Protects you with power equal to 33% of your current PL. If an opposing technique beats your barrier, and the Barrier user is within 60% of the attack's PL, the damage is halved. (IE: If a Ki Barrier had 2,000 PL, and was broken by a 3,000 PL attack, the bleed-through damage would be 500 PL instead of 1,000). If the Barrier user is lower than 60% of the incoming attack, the damage reduction is only 25%.
UTILITY TECHNIQUES
- Ki (Energy) Sensing [UT]: Via some method you are capable of feeling the natural energy of living beings, you have an understanding of the power level of other non-android warriors and can feel the power of the attacks they are using compared to your own. This technique is Passive not requiring activation and uses 0 KP in a KP Battle, Energy Sensing does not work on Androids.
