To this day, long after the extinction of the Tuffles, ruins of their technological marvels of cities remained on Vegeta. Structures stil standing, though nothing more than skeletons of the past. The dead air and crumbled walls revealed their emptiness and lifelessness...
In the middle of one such dead city, was a hospital littered with giant monkey-sized holes, and under that, an underground laboratory in the same condition. The place had been totally torn apart, and a single Oozaru was all it took. All that were left were remains of Tuffle doctors and patients, scientists and guards, androids that went offline, and broken equipment buried under rubble.
And a steel container filled with liquid, hidden away in the wreckage. One would not be able to tell without opening the lid, but it was filled with healing nanomachines. They had been cryofrozen for over two thousand years, yet they could still function, a green glow still emanating from them. In the middle of the vat, there was a pale Tuffle-shaped figure, eyes closed, completely motionless, almost seeming as dead as the rest of the facility. But she was not dead, and that was about to become evident.
A subtle beeping started. After being untouched for 23 centuries, a random error occured, deactivating the machines' suppressive function, and strong life signs were leaking out from the container. Its inhabitant would lay still, not yet aware of her perdicament. Now that her energy was able to be detected by scouters, she was in danger of being found by...who knows, perhaps a bored Saiyan scout?

PL: 72,000 From far up above, you almost couldn't tell just how withered the forgotten home of the Tuffles had become. Iyokan remembered when she had first awoken among the ruins of the capital, and how wild her emotions had ran with fear and shock at the sudden change in her known surroundings. It was... interesting, being able to recall that feeling, but not being able to empathize with her own past self. To her now, it was an unusual sight and served as proof that the saiyans were dangerous foes. Silently she guided the pod into a soft landing on the planet's surface, exiting the craft and hiding it underneath some of the scattered debris of an old docking station that had been torn down and left to rust and decay. Confident that is was discreet enough to remain safe from any roaming defense drones left active after the war, or saiyan scavengers, Iyokan headed further into the remnants of the city in search of her father's laboratory. As she moved further into the city toward her goal, her internal systems picked up something unexpected. > POWER SIGNATURE DETECTED !> UNKNOWN(?). 0.35 RDZ. > POWER SIGNATURE STABLE. > RECOMMENDATION: INVESTIGATE. Taking the advice of her internal computer, Iyokan pressed at the side of her head and locked in the signature to track it's coordinates. Flying with low energy output from her repulsors, Iyokan glided through the city until she found herself confronted with the sight of a hole-riddled hospital. A quick examination showed that each of the holes had been caused by a Great Ape, barely eroded by the sands of time, a testament to the hardiness of tuffle technology. Heading inside, she quickly scanning the building to locate the energy source. The signal was originating from beneath the structure. Calmly dropping to one knee, she made a few calculations before pressing her palms into the floor. BBZZZZT. If not for how precise Iyokan had been in focusing the power onto one point, the entire building might have crumbled under the power she used to blast down through the basement floors one after the other. Clattering down into the level the power was, Iyokan brought herself back to a standing position and looked up at the ceiling, cautiously ensuring that it wouldn't crumble overhead as she moved through the already rubble littered laboratory. The bones of the lost and several dead standard model androids of varying make were strewn about the rubble and the rusting equipment, but the figure of interest was tucked into the corner of the room. In a steel-pressed vat there floated a humanoid, tuffle-shaped figure. It was approximately 3'8" and possessed barely visible effeminate features. But most importantly, this was the source of the energy. Iyokan switched her priority from investigation to revival immediately, as this was possibly another surviving tuffle, like Korla or Duran. Iyokan quickly came to the conclusion that the system was failing due to an error, and that it was most likely the safest option to remove the figure from the tank before anything else could occur to make the device hazardous. Clamping her iron grip on both sides of the container's door, she ripped it clean off and dropped it to the side, moving to stir the figure to consciousness. Feeling for a pulse she spoke in a flat voice to the waking tuffle. "Hello. I am Iyokan- designation D-10K4. Are you alright?" KP: 3/3 - Talia

When Iyokan descended into the underground lab, a Saiyan scavenger heard it from far away. Clad in thick protective armor and a gas mask, a bored low-class warrior had come to the Tuffle ruins, searching for something useful or even just spare parts. He noticed the crumbling sounds in the distance. "The hell was that? Heh, probably some jackass out here taking potshots at a tin can. Why don't we go say hi, hmm?" He laughed as he jokingly asked his Saibaman, before he started walking, his inarticulate green minion in tow. ... A loud ' CLANG' rang out in the laboratory as the lid of the steel vat was torn off, as if the lock was made of paper. No alarm or siren signaling a breach, however, as the louder ones had been disabled in a (rather vain) attempt to hide from Saiyans. In any case, the Tuffle within could hear none of it, not the sudden loud sound, nor the android's voice. However, the cryo freezing container's function had ceased when it was forced open, and the nanomachines within were quickly thawing Talia as they started to become active, moving around, providing warmth... And eventually, a pulse could be felt from her. Talia gasped, twitching as she jolted awake! She sat up in her watery bed, but her eyes stayed shut...and yet, she could see? Talia had regained consciousness, yet she was paralyzed in confusion at this strange discovery. She could see, not just from her eyes, but from every part of her, in every direction at once, as if her body had sprouted millions of eyes. Talia lay there, immobilized. It was sensational, yet the most disorientating feeling she had ever felt, but thankfully it wouldn't last. Talia's vision went black as her eyes gained function, and her nanomachines stopped providing her sight. She opened her eyes, and sighed. That was strange, but now everything was normal. ...Or not. Looking around, Talia found that the whole place was a mess. Talia yawned, stretching her body. She felt...stiff, and a little strange, like something was off with her body. "Guh... Jeez, what happened, how long was I out-" Then she caught sight of her hands. "Wh- What the hell?!" Talia checked her arms, looked down at her nose, then grabbed a bit of her on hair. It wasn't just her skin, her entire body had been turned pale white, as white as her labcoat! As panic set in, her heartbeat quickened, and she started hyperventilating. Talia screamed, "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ME??!?"
Then Talia's eyes settled on Iyokan, and a HUD screen popped up, entering her artificial sight. DETECTED: DESTRON DROID D-10K4 -FUNCTIONING POWER LEVEL: 72,000 This was...not the same one she was used to seeing. Talia longer her had her old robotic eyes either, it seemed. They were for surgeons, not military-grade, so they did not have a power scanning function. NANOMACHINES ARE ONLINE AND OPERATIONAL
ERROR: STEALTH DRIVE FUNCTION IS NOT RESPONDING, DANGER OF BEING DETECTED BY THE ENEMY ATTEMPT SYSTEM REBOOT? [ ] YES | NO
"Nanomachines? What nano-"
OPEN MANUAL? YES | [NO] ...No. Talia shook her head as she pushed away the prompts that kept popping up. It was evident that something had happened to her, but she could find out about her transmutation later. She remembered the events before she accidentally fell into the container. The Oozaru. Talia's hands went to grab Iyokan's shoulders. Trembling, Talia asked with a hushed tone, "Are you with the army? The m-m-monster, is it gone? oh god, please be gone..."

PL: 72,000 Iyokan was not extensively programmed or trained in medicine, though the practicality of such things had not eluded her father entirely. From what little field medicine she knew, Iyokan immediately identified the signs of shock and panic from the hyperventilation and the quickened pulse at the waking of the Tuffle. Now that she was completely visible, Iyokan could notice the distinct differences from an ordinary member of their kin- pale white skin, different eyes, and preliminary scans of her diagnosed her blood with field-grade hyperlactatemia. It seemed the sudden change of form she had undergone had greatly altered her blood, and Iyokan was sure that the potential acidosis would have been ailing for a healthy tuffle adult. Iyokan withheld this information in favor of explaining things to the figure. "This will not be easy to understand." Iyokan gestured for the stranger to sit down, and stepped away from her. "Please allow me to answer your questions. It has been approximately 2292 years since the final day of the Saiyan-Tuffle conflict. The saiyans were victorious. The population of the tuffles has been reduced to insufficient levels, with no currently known healthy tuffle survivors. Currently known exceptions to this extinction event are limited to the following:- Korla, designation A-5B277. The daughter of esteemed Dr. Satsuma. She survived by undergoing a similar transformation to yourself.
- Duran, designation D-03K0. A member of the first generation of the Destron Droid initiative, a known Tuffle-Saiyan hybrid produced during the war.
- Tuffleization Catalysts, also known as tsufurucaput militaris. Duran possesses samples of these parasites, attuned to Tuffle DNA.
Unfortunately, there are no other known cases, excusing yourself and I from that listing."Iyokan gestured to the old, decaying room surrounding them. "I am aware this is difficult to believe. Please, scan the surrounding area at a far distance. Were I able to feel discomfort, I am sure the amount of foreign saiyan signatures on this planet would be cause for alarm. But I have assessed that there were none in the surrounding area at my time of finding you. I am able to keep you out of harms way, if you wish to stay with me." Iyokan might have felt weird telling someone not to fear the culture-extinguishing force that lived just beyond the horizon, but she was calm and resolute. She supposed that was a benefit to the cancellation of her Emotional Regulation Systems. The ability to not be dissuaded from action or governed by fear anymore. It was truly, truly a peculiar thing. As she awaited the currently nameless identity's response for a moment, she clicked the side of her head quietly and scanned the immediate area, picking up a significant saiyan signature of power nearby. Iyokan once again elected to withhold this information for her companion's benefit. KP: 3/3 - Talia

"Okay..." Talia did as she was told, sitting down on the floor. Perhaps the situation wasn't as urgent, if Iyokan felt like they had time for this...
When Talia awoke, she didn't feel like she had been out for a particularly long time. She remembered going unconscious from the pain caused by the container's liquid. It would have been like falling asleep if it didn't hurt so much. Talia thought it had been only a few hours at most, and she thought everything would go back to normal...
Oh, she did not expect what came next.
Talia had woken up after two thousand years, and now the Tuffle race was gone, barring only a few survivors. As Talia listened, she took everything Iyokan said as the truth, as she could not think of any reasons the android would lie about such a thing to her. Not in this situation, where the entire lab had been destroyed. "No, I believe you..." It took a few moments before an expression of despair emerged on the mutated doctor's face as she realized, "Mom, dad, Ansa, Augus, everyone in the hospital floors, too, they're all...dead..." Talia muttered as she silently weeped, and simulated tears dropped from her eyes.
Even through her sobbing, Talia spoke. "Yes, please...take me with you...take me to the other survivors. We-We're all on the same side, right? I'm sure I'll be able to help, I can provide medical aid. I-I have to." While she was very shaken, and far from fully recovering, she was resolute to carry out her duties as the last remaining Tuffle doctor, and following Iyokan would allow her to do so. Also, Talia was willing to follow her savior anywhere, in this world where she had no one left but Iyokan. Right now, she needed her.
So, Talia stood, dusting herself off and getting ready to get out of here. She sniffled, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "My name is Talia, if you want to put me in your database too. Daughter of Doctor Malus and Doctor Pumila..." Her expression darkened at her own mentioning of her parents, but she continued nonetheless. "I was a medical scientist, and I was working on some nanomachines in this lab..." Talia looked at the vat that used to contain her work. "I think what happened to me has something to do with the ones I fell into."
It was a good thing Talia had not tried to use her scanner to scan the nearby area, trusting Iyokan when she mentioned that there were many Saiyans on planet Plant now, trusting her when she said that there were none near them at the moment. Trusting the military droid, her savior, her only hope, wholeheartedly. Believing that white lie...
ㅡㅡㅡ
The Saiyan looked up at the hospital which bared many holes, and let out a hearty laugh. "HA! Looks like someone's been making some cheese." He said. His green pet looked up at him in confusion. "Kekekeke?" Its owner waved it off as he scanned the area. "Bah, Earth thing, the kids loved it or whatever. Eyes on the prize, boy." The Saiyan said, just as his scouter detected a power level higher than 1. "There's the rat. But what the hell are you doing all the way down there...?" He sighed. Was this idiot trapped down there or something? A weakling trapped under some rubble? Welp, guess his Saibaman had some lifting to do. The duo entered the building, approaching the bigger hole made in the ground right above the power signature.

PL: 72,000 Iyokan did not know how to help better comfort the tuffle as she began to cry. She understood that this was a difficult subject to process. But she had at least avoided the confusion of disbelief. Iyokan wordlessly nodded as she asked to come along with Iyokan to meet the remaining survivors. Instead of cutting in, she gave her a moment to compose herself. With an introduction, Iyokan's corneas widened for a moment, the little red line in the bottom left corner circling around as she checked her database. "Doctor Pumila and Doctor Malus were inventors. They worked with my father three times, in reference to medical developments." Iyokan then listened as Talia explained what had happened to her. "I believe the would be glad to see you alive. It is unfortunate that this has happened to you, but I believe you have undergone a similar process to Korla." Scanning again, she noticed that signature from before had gotten much closer. "We should keep moving. I am looking for my father's laboratory." She wanted to mask any sense of urgency, and looked around quickly assessing the situation. "Are there any exits to this laboratory?" Talia tried her best to calm down, consciously trying to breath slowly. Oh, but it wasn't easy. It wasn't easy to calm herself, to stop crying, to stop thinking about the fact that everyone she knew was dead. It didn't help that within the ruined of the lab, she could see the remains of long-dead scientists and guards, littered about. Talia's eyes headed downward to avoid the sight completely, for now.
When Talia introduced herself and her parents, she learned that Iyokan already knew of Talia's parents...oh, knew from accessing records she had. "Yes... I was working with them in this exact lab, actually..." Still, Talia met Iyokan's eyes once more, her eyes widening as well being surprised at the fact that her parents had worked with Iyokan's father, as curiosity filled the doctor's psyche. "Oh, really?" She sniffled. "Who was he?"
Speaking of the droid herself, while Iyokan did not show emotion on her face, she seemed to be doing the best to put Talia's mind at ease, an effort that was appreciated by the tall doctor. She nodded in agreement, they would be glad that, at the very least, their daughter was alive in a strange way.
They...
Talia clutched her head, and her face strained, as a pain coursed through her head. A headache, and memories. The events from before she passed started playing in her head like a recorded video.
It felt like yesterday, and yet it had happened two thousand years ago. The Oozaru attack. The giant monkey hands peering through the ceiling, smashing lab equipment and erasing Tuffle life left and right... Like everyone else, Talia was trying her best to run to safety when she slipped and fell into that nanomachine vat. As they were working on it at the time, the lid was open, and the microsurgeons were active, too. She remembered all too well, the searing pain caused by their failed attempts to repair nonexistent damage, instead melting her body as they tried to keep alive a woman who wasn't dying. Damned things, who had set them on? And who closed the lid?
"I..." Dammit, just thinking about it made her head hurt. Talia shook her head as she tried to bring her focus back to the present.
"Exits...yes, many. I know where they are. Just...before that..." Talia looked to Iyokan with a pleading look, and the shaken doctor asked with a trembling voice, "I'm sorry, could you give me a moment? I want to say goodbye..." With teary eyes, Talia looked to the remains of her coworkers, patients, and her parents. She would say her goodbyes to them now, and later come back to give them a proper burial...
Not that there was much left to bury. With so many holes in the ceiling(even excluding the one Iyokan had made), plenty of insects, bacteria, and contaminated air had entered the lab, for 2000 years. The bodies had long decayed away, and the only evidence of these Tuffles' existence that remained were their clothes, belongings, and mechanical body parts, splayed out on the floor.
And, not that she would have the time to do so. Oh, how blind, how blissfully unaware the doctor could have been, to the danger that lurked right above her and Iyokan. The air shifted, a gust of strong wind blowing about as something dropped down from above, fast. A low-class Saiyan warrior approached, cradling a green Saiba-pet in his arms, too. Though they weren't hostile at the moment, that could quickly change. And yet, Talia was unaware of this emergency, sensing no urgency from Iyokan, nor from her internal scouter program which she had not been checking. She would start to slowly walk over to the labcoats on the ground, raising a hand to block dust from getting in her face, thinking, ...What's this wind all of a sudden?

PL: 72,000 Iyokan quietly stood on high alert as she allowed Talia to say her goodbyes. Iyokan did not have the same feelings as she once did, but she understood from experience that not being able to say goodbye to your loved ones can be traumatic. This experience was already likely to be traumatic enough. With am imminent beep, a rush of wind blustered down through the hole she had created in the ceiling prior, and the signal she'd detected rushed down from above with incredible speed. Immediately, Iyokan locked onto and confirmed the Saiyan's power signature. 30 RDZ. Were she her old self, Iyokan would be absolutely terrified. Instead, she caluclated her chances of survival and contemplated on the best move to make. She knew form past experience that a Saiyan could increase their battle power multiple times over by transforming into a hulking ape, and she knew that if she didn't act quickly this could likely be done. She assumed that in the past 2,000 years the Saiyans would have developed technology to assist them in assuming this transformation without the full moon. "You are trespassing on Tuffle property, Saiyan." Iyokan stepped forward as her flat voice called out to the new arrival. Scanning above, she noticed... something familiar. It was Duran! The chances of their survival just increased by a significant amount, as she dropped low for a moment. "Allow me to 'show you the door'."Iyokan was aware that there was no door, and that her metaphor was illogical. Luckily, she had retained her ability to make metaphors. That was good. Driving her fist into the gut of the Saiyan as hard as she could, she sent him rocketing up toward the surface. "Talia. I will meet you upstairs." Iyokan stated, before engaging her repulsion thrusters and shooting up the hole she had created with her punch to meet the Saiyan up near Duran's location. to be continued... KP: 3/3 - Talia

The Saiyan's face turned to confusion when he was addressed as such by a...Tuffle?! "WHAT?!" was all he got out before he was rocketed right back out of the facility with a single punch. "aaaAAAAAAaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-" the pained screams of the two faded in the distance. ㅡㅡㅡ And as for Talia, she was still recovering from her mixture of fear and shock. "W-Wait, what? Was that a-" And off Iyokan went, saying that she'd meet her upstairs... "Wait for me!" Talia said, while rushing to find the way up herself. Without a way to fly, she'd have to find the stairs ...
