The abruptness of going to the After Life always startles Yogu. Before he had died the first time and became disillusioned to it all, he thought it'd be more of a transitional thing. Like his soul floating up to the waiting line or something. Nope. One second he was in a lot of pain and punching someone, the next he was waiting in line. " Well, that bites. I was thinkin' I'd stop existing. Woulda been a fitting end." If this was a tv show, Yogu would be winking into the camera. " FUCK THAT NOISE! I ain't goin' nowhere! That attack just got me pumped up! I ain't as far behind and weak as I thought! This just makes me wonder just how much stronger I can get!" But that wasn't the important part, the future could wait. What was important was the present. " If I'm here, that means that my attack worked! HAHA! Then Vocado must be as dead as me!" Yogu hadn't even considered the possibility that Nashua had taken the hit instead. After all, what were the chances of that actually happening? She'd be stupid to throw away her life for some guy as clearly evil as Vocado! Yogu looked around in the line, and couldn't spot him. He was sure the guy would've been making some sort of commotion... And come to think of it, what was with the line? It was a lot bigger and longer than Yogu had remembered. Strange. That wasn't important right now though, he needed to find Vocado and rub his defeat in his gross face!

It was a very strange transition for Nashua. The last thing she'd seen of the world was Vocado's face leering down at her from afar, and a beam of ki bursting from his fingertip that had been hurtling straight towards her. There had been a flash of pain, and then... Nothing. But only for a moment. Then she blinked, and she was... Elsewhere. Somewhere very elsewhere. There was a really long line of people all around her, that seemed to stretch on for miles and miles all the way into some very far off building. Was she in the back of the line? It looked like it at first, but after only a few moments, dozens of people began popping in behind her, each looking just as confused. The line moved forward, slowly, and Nashua supposed she should follow, though her mind raced to recall what had just happened. ...Then it all flooded back to her at once.
With a gasp, she brought her hands to her torso and chest and patted them for the wounds that had just killed her, but when she looked down and patted around, both her body and armor seemed to have been mended. Was she alive...? There were puffy, yellow clouds all around on both sides of the bridge she was crossing, and a bright, blue sky shining above while the horizon of clouds stretched on for miles, and miles. What planet was this? It didn't look like Earth, Vegeta or Arcose. She had... Died, right? Yogu's unbelievably powerful attack had both shattered her insides, before Vocado had... Right. He'd done... That. Nashua paused in the line and found herself trembling as she remembered the look on his face as he'd stared down her dying form. He'd looked gleeful as he raised his hand and blasted her life away.
Nashua shook her head and patted her cheeks as she took in a deep breath through her nose. This was hardly the time for anymore negative thoughts - she needed to see where this line was going. And wait, if this was some kind of line for the dead to enter the Afterlife, then didn't that mean Yogu would be...? "Yogu?" Nashua called ahead just as she spotted the Earthling a few places ahead of her. "Um, excuse me," she tapped on the shoulder of a Namekian in front of her, "My friend is just up ahead of me, do you mind if I...?" The Namekian shook his head and stepped aside, as did the other three Namekians between them. ...An oddly high number of Namekians, Nashua noted as she glanced around. "Yogu, hi," she finally said as she approached him and tapped his shoulder. "Uh, we can talk about what happened in a minute. Can you fill me in on what's happening here, first?"

Yogu was feeling quite happy for himself. He finally did it. He finally got to be the hero. Sure, he had died in the process. But at Satan City, he was just another victim. And on Namek, he was the villain. But finally, everything he had been working towards since Satan City had come to fruition. He beat Monster, he beat his insecurities, and now he had beaten Vocado, the greatest threat to the galaxy in who knows how long. And he had done it all with the strength he had earned! At least, that's what he had thought. But then he heard a familiar voice pipe up from a few people behind him. All he saw were Namekians as far as the eye could see. Except for one Saiyan. And it wasn't Vocado. Yogu just stared at Nashua, jaw dropped as she talked. When she finally finished her piece, he blew up. " ARE- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! YOU JUMPED IN FRONT OF IT?! YOU- YOU IDIOT! YOU LOVESICK MORON! YOU STINKY SIMP!" He took a few deep breaths, trying to calm down. But he couldn't. This meant Vocado was still alive. " DO YOU REALIZE HE WAS PLAYING YOU?! HE DOESN'T GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT YOU! NOW HE'S GONNA KILL CHIME AND OBOE AND THERE WILL BE NO DRAGON BALLS! ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU SELFISH BASTARD!" Yogu had half the mind to deck Nashua in the face right there and then. Everything Chime and Yogu and everyone else was fighting for was being threatened now. A fight that should've been an easy victory was now in jeopardy all thanks to her, in Yogu's eyes. He took a few more deep breaths and watched Nashua closely for her reaction. Then he thought a little bit more. Could she have really known this would happen? Even he had thought Vocado wasn't that bad of a dude up until Chime had told him about Carro and Nashi. And the two of them seemed like they had a lot more history than Yogu's series of fights with the guy. And before that, Nashua seemed like a very nice person. Maybe... Was he being the mean one here? By berating her like this, right after he had killed her? " L-Listen. I- uh- I'm sorry for yelling. And for punching you to death... You wanted to know what's happening, yeah?" Yogu turns away from Nashua and points off into the line ahead of them, which seems to stretch on forever. " You're in Yemma's line. You gotta get judged and he's gonna decide whether or not you go to Heaven or Hell. Sweet guy, really. Hell's below us, and Heaven's above us. This is like, limbo I guess? Everyone around us also just died. I wonder why there are so many Namekians... Must be some weird coincidence. It's pretty easy, we just listen to the ogres and follow the line." Yogu pauses for a moment and looks back at Nashua. A pang of guilt echoes through him. " So uh... Queen of Arcose, huh? That's cool... How did you know Vocado? You seemed pretty sure he was a good guy deep down." Who would've thought small talk with someone you just killed would be so awkward?

For starters, Nashua had no idea what a 'simp' was, but given that its previous adjective was 'stinky', it was probably not a good thing to be called. She mostly stared in slight surprise as Yogu went off on her a bit more - if anything, she felt like she was pretty sure she should've been mad at him given that he'd blown her stomach open, but she couldn't say she felt all that much spite regardless of what had happened. And, well, it wasn't like what he was saying didn't have a point. "I know all that, okay?" she quickly replied after he'd finished his rant. "I mean... I know all that now. After you blasted a hole through me I lived a little bit longer. I might not have even died, if Oboe or Chime had decided to heal me, but they just... Watched." Her gaze lowered as she felt a tinge of resentment for the Namekians well up in her, though she'd disregard that for the moment.
"Anyway, Vocado survived with only minor injuries, as far as I could tell. Which made me glad... But then he laughed at me. And then, well," Nashua paused for a moment, her hand raising to rub the back of her neck in discomfort, "He shot me in the chest with a laser beam of his own. That was the last thing I remember before I wound up here. I guess he meant a lot more to me than I ever really meant to him, huh?" As she finished her last sentence, Nashua could feel herself starting to choke up, all the while every emotion she should've been feeling started to rush into her, seemingly simultaneously. The young woman turned away from Yogu, briefly, to wipe at her eyes, though it was doubtful he wouldn't notice their general wetness and redness when she turned back - not to mention her somewhat nasally tone of voice.
She nodded along as he explained the process to her, something he was no doubt familiar with by now. This was, what, the third time he'd been here? Nashua somewhat doubted it'd be the last time for him. Then, Yogu started making some small talk, which was pretty blatantly somewhat awkward for him to be doing with the person he'd just killed. "Well, we met back before he was even King," she explained. "After the Arcosians took over Vegeta and we all had to flee to Earth. I'd just lost all my family, and friends, and I felt so lost, but... There was Vocado, valiantly leading the charge and gathering together the remnants of the Kingdom. I'd never seen anyone so brave and strong. ...I don't know how he's fallen so far from what he used to be." She let out a sigh. "He actually helped revive you after you first died, alongside me. Kind of ironic, isn't it?"

" Wait I blasted a hole through you? Holy shit! I didn't think it'd be that strong! Well, I guess you are dead but... I thought for sure someone like you could survive it while Vocado... You know." Something that caught Yogu off guard was that Chime and Oboe just watched instead of trying to heal. " W-Well yeah, you had a hole through you, right? No amount of healing magic is going to put your internal organs or whatever back together, right? You were probably too much of a mess to heal." Wow. Did he just say that? It hit him like a punch to the face when he realized just how insensitive something like that was. She just died. " S-Sorry if I sounded a little uh... Cold, I guess? I guess I'm just kinda used to death at this point so it doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. Haha...?" Hearing that Vocado had managed to worm his way into only getting minor injuries enraged Yogu. He felt this tight pang of anger in his chest that made him sure that if he'd opened his mouth a beam of ki would've shot out! He managed to calm that rage, at least enough to listen to what else Nashua had to say, but it looked like steam could shoot out of his ears at any second. What she said next sent him over the edge. He hung onto what she had said for a few seconds, letting silence hang in the air. " Wh-What... TH-THAT BASTAAAARD! RAAAAAAAAGH!" In a blind fury, Yogu lobs a ki blast into the air! A keen eye could spot some tears welling up in the corner of his eye. " I-I'LL KILL HIM! YOU CAN'T JUST PLAY WITH PEOPLE'S EMOTIONS LIKE THAT DAMN IIIIIT! SCUMBAGS LIKE HIM DESERVE TO GET THEIR HEARTS RIPPED OUT! I'LL GO BACK THERE RIGHT NOW AND MAKE SURE I DON'T MISS THIS TIME, DAMN IT!" After a deep breath or two, Yogu kicks up some dirt, knowing he wouldn't be going back to Earth for some time. He didn't even know how he got out of hell the first time! The small talk progressed, with Nashua regaling Yogu with the first time she met Vocado, then discussing how far he had fallen, and noting the irony in him helping with the first revival of Yogu. " Yeah, I guess that is kinda ironic, huh? Haha... What he used to be, huh? If ya ask me, and I know you're not, he was always like that. Just didn't have the guts to act that way to others, or the power to back himself up yet. People like that don't just happen, and it wasn't some sorta possession. Guys like him make me sick." Maybe he should tone down the whole insulting Vocado thing. What he was saying was sorta like insulting a past memory of someone who used to exist. It felt almost like pissing on a grave. Yogu thought back on when he first met Vocado. " So, like, when I first met him it was... What, like a year ago I think? Wait- No- It was back when you SK guys were taking back Vegeta! I don't think we actually talked, but I saw him. Man, I almost forgot I was there! Anyways, when we first talked was on Earth. Long story short, this guy named Kalabas killed an earthling and I got pissed, then Vocado came along and kicked my ass for wanting to kick his buddies ass. I guess since then I've hated his guts." Yogu looked to Nashua, waiting for what she had to say. And he noticed something, " Has she been crying? Oh shit, I didn't say somethin' to make her upset right? I knew I shouldn't've talked shit so bad on past Vocado!" Yogu turns back over to the line, " Nashua, you alright? You're just overwhelmed by the whole dying thing, right?"
Take your post, felon.

"Did you not notice that part...?" Nashua asked as Yogu seemed surprised by the fact that he'd blasted straight through her. She shrugged. "Well, from what my scouter said, you were punching with enough force to decimate the entire Earth solar system, so, if anything, it's kind of impressive that you only blew a hole through me instead of, um, disintegrating my entire body." Now that she thought about it... Just how durable was she? If it had taken that much to finally kill her, then Nashua had to wonder if she was effectively immortal from most other sources of death. Well, she supposed she'd still have died of old age, someday. Still, she had to somewhat doubt Yogu's attempt to reason out why she hadn't been healed. "Maybe," she replied, "But they didn't even try. I can accept them trying and failing, but not trying at all is probably what got me here." She paused for a moment. "That and getting shot in the chest. The weird thing is I think Vocado's blast actually hurt more than yours."
If not physically, then certainly emotionally. And Yogu was rather riled up about what Vocado had done himself. Nashua couldn't lie about the fact that it was the least bit amusing to see the Earthling scream into the sky in anger and fire off quite the ki blast into the sky, which seemed to prompt some cheers from the surrounding Namekians, of which there were a surprisingly high amount, and some jeers from a few nearby Ogres. Still, Nashua remained mostly silent, while occasionally averting her eyes during Yogu's description of Vocado. He had a point, again. Nashua supposed if she thought back hard enough, she could pick out glimpses, little slivers of what Vocado would later become. His harsh treatment of her when she'd given up the dragon Radar. His rather brutal murder of the World Trade Fleet scientist. He'd always had something of a sadistic streak.
"Hm?" she mumbled as Yogu suddenly asked if she was alright. "Oh, I'm fine. ...Well, as fine as one can be while dead." Though, was she really? She was pretty sure she'd be more fine if she'd died a more peaceful death, at a much older age. She'd only just turned 21 a month prior, though - that was hardly a full life lived. "Just... You know. Worried about how my parents will react. And Ramen, too... I hope she'll be okay." How would the redheaded Earthling react? She'd always been something of a hothead, and given how close the two of them were, Nashua couldn't imagine her reaction being a calm one. Although, how were Yogu's folks handling all his several deaths? "Well, how are you holding up?" she asked the Earthling. "I did sort of just render your heroic sacrifice moot. Sorry again, about that. Do you have family or friends who will be looking for you? And, who was that Earthling that died? Maybe you can meet them somewhere up here."

Nashua said she was doing fine, well as close to fine as you could possibly be while being freshly dead. That answer was enough for Yogu to give a sigh of relief that he hadn't made the dead lady cry. Yogu had some doubts about just how fine she was doing, though. You couldn't just, be okay with the fact you're deceased so quick; he wasn't sure he was okay with the fact he had died the first time around yet. " Well, if you ever need someone to chat with about being dead, I'm your guy. It's not easy dying, especially the first time around. And I was lucky enough to have died with my best bud, which made things a whooooole lot easier." Yogu had the epiphany that maybe reminding Nashua that she'd be roughing it in the afterlife pretty much solo wasn't a good idea. She'd get in heaven for sure, but even that place felt cold and depressing to Yogu without some friends. Nashua then brings up her parents, and someone named Ramen. " Ya know, if no one else dies and they actually beat Vocado, you might get revived before your parents and whoever Ramen is find out you're even dead! I think if we got all of Vocado's balls only one or two would be unaccounted for!" That was just wishful thinking of course. She was the queen of a planet. That'd be all over the news across the universe by tomorrow. Now Yogu was thinking about how stressful it'd be to be in a position of power like that. He wondered how Carro felt. Then Nashua threw him a real curveball. How was Yogu holding up? When was the last time he was asked that? It was kind of a shock to Yogu that someone would ask him that. " Hah?" He was a little confused at first, but the question gave him a warm, fuzzy feeling despite the sadish answer he'd end up giving. Elaborating, Nashua first brought up the whole 'heroic sacrifice' attempt. " Ah, that? Don't worry about it. Sorry about blasting a hole through your gut." Then Nashua brought up friends and... Family. The dreaded word. Hearing that brought... An emotion. Yogu wasn't quite sure which. " Well... Uh... There's Chime? My family, they uh... Well..." He hadn't really ever talked to anyone about this, had he? " So, when I was sixteen I ran away from home. Not cause of like, a bad home or anything I just... Was going through a weird time. So then I traveled around for a bit, then the Satan City attack by the Stargoons happened, and then I died. And when I got revived, it's not like people knew, ya know? But I was counted as a casualty during the Satan City thing. So as far as my parents know, I had died back then and stayed dead. I haven't gone back yet because..." He was scared. Terrified. What if his parents hated him once they found out about his many deaths and all those Monster shenanigans? He was a failure, through and through. And as time went on the concern of them being upset it took so long for him to come see them would just make them angrier. He was a coward, deep down. But he'd never say all this to Nashua. He didn't know her that well. " Because my mom would make me finish highschool! And I'm eighteen- almost nineteen now! I can't go back to highschool now, that'd be ridiculous!" The lack of movement in the line became more apparent the longer he watched. " Sorry for the life story by the way, but that felt like unsealing a crack in a dam. I'll save it for a therapist though." Was that even a joke? " So uh... What are your parents like? And that Ramen person you mentioned before." He hadn't even touched on Nashua's mention of Nashi. But he was in heaven for sure, and Yogu'd be getting sent to hell for sure. Had he told Nashua that? Did it matter?
