Bloom’s PL: 112,000 | 336,000
Huh. When the Heckway spit Bloom out into this place, she really thought that she had been lied to by those shady guys with the black robes that had ritual stabbed her. This really didn’t give off the hellish vibes that she imagined. In fact, it looked a lot like a resort. There was even a beach here with lounge chairs! Knocking some sand out of her ears, Bloom dusted herself off and made sure that her pack wasn’t messed up too bad. She hadn’t come all this way NOT to give Dosu his stuff. Ah, it looked okay. None to worse for the wear. She dusted bits of white sand off of the blue fabric and readjusted it on her shoulders. A quick glance around offered her a lot of sights. A bunch of people with halos. Some red and blue guys with horns. There was also a huge blood red lake. It was actually kind of scenic. She wondered if Dosu had gone fishing in it once or twice already. Well, anyway. Bloom figured that she had ought to try to blend in, so she looped her pony tail around and held it over her held like one of the halos. After that, she headed over to one of the ogres and waved them down. “Hey guy… have you seen my pal, Dosu, around…? He’s blue with orange hair… usually grumpy…? Likes to fish…?”The ogre - who, incidentally, was pretty buff - thought about it for a moment, not seeming to notice that her halo was fake. Her brief description didn’t seem to jog his memory. “Heran guy… he’s the red Stargoon…? I dunno if that matters much to you people…”“Ah-ha! Thattaway, girlie!” The ogre said with a flex and a point down the beach. His cheerful energy was a little off putting, Bloom did her best to put on a smile in response. It was awkward. “U-uh… thanks…” With another wave, Bloom jogged off in the direction that he had indicated. She kept an eye out for Dosu, but she kept getting distracted by some of the odd sights around HFIL. People with just some weird looking injuries that just didn’t bother them. Huh. Maybe she should call out for Dosu. That’d probably work better than just looking. Sensing energy around here was a little weird. “Hey..! Dosu….! Where are you…?!”

|Not Like the Movies| Dosu's PL: 120'000 (Ki setting)
Ogres were such a pain in the ass, watching over everyone, making sure nobody was causing trouble or whatever. See, they weren’t particularly strong, but it was their numbers that made them dangerous. Also, they appeared to have a liking towards following anyone who showed a bit too much power. Maybe it was preventive, but one thing was sure, it was tiring. Not all was lost, however. During his short stay in Hell, Dosu had picked up a few tricks that helped him circumvent these annoying red and blue jailers. It came in the form of him being able to control the flow of his ki and how much he could put out. Basically, he had learned to make himself appear weaker so as not to draw too much unwarranted attention. With that newfound ability, a whole other world had opened up to him. Being able to sense other people’s relative power and comparing it to his had been both a blessing and a curse. He was thrilled to find out that few could match up to his raw, unbridled power among the denizens of hell. The bad thing was that, sadly, he didn’t have as much of a thrill when it came down to a fight. Actually, now that he thought about it, most people would simply try and avoid him, whatever the reason was. This probably had to do with them knowing how outclassed they were.
Speaking of power, his training was coming along great as well. Sure, he was better off training by himself if he wanted to gain pure power, but the Ashkali tribe had helped him a great deal with overcoming his weaknesses, namely ki control. Getting to know more about his people and their innate power and how to focus his strength to achieve greater power and completely changed him on a fundamental level. Now, he was not scared of powering up or have his power actually hurt him from the recoil. He’d need to practice a whole lot still, but he had grown stronger from all that. This made him think more about whether or not he’d be someone reliable enough for the Stargoons. Would they still accept him once he’d find a way out of here? He had a lot of things on his mind and wasn’t sure if his goals still aligned with those of his comrades. The mayhem he wished to wreak was now very personal to him, rather than being the result of him acting as a representative of evil. He also thought about his killer and how dearly he wanted to make him pay for all he put him through. Ah, how fun these times were going to be! Not that he had a good body, the one he deserved, he felt as though nothing could stop him! Certainly not Saiyans and hopefully no robots either.
For once, he had felt a strong energy he had never met before. Instinctively, he lowered his own energy by some amount, close to what that potential opponent was. It was the first time in a long while since he had a good fight, he certainly wasn’t going to let that chance pass. If that person was a true fighter, then they surely wouldn’t let that chance slip either. Alright, he was getting fired up! He noticed that energy was coming his way. Hah, even better! He only had to wait for them to come. As the figure closed in on him, something felt familiar. It wouldn’t take much more before he saw the person landing…then calling his name? He walked towards the person, suddenly struck with disbelief as he saw her.
“Wait, Bloom? Why the fuck are you here? Did you die too?”
He looked at her head, more specifically just above it at the halo and he immediately saw the trickery.
“Wait, did you think you’d fool anyone by doing that?”
He couldn’t help but smirk at the silly attempt at being clever. Now, if she wasn’t dead, how did she come here in the first place? What’s more, what was she going to think about him? He had grown used to it by now, but his body had certainly changed since the last time. There was the obvious hair and beard that got shorter, but other than that, he looked younger or rather, not as old as he did back on Earth. Maybe he was looking his age, now? Somehow, he also hoped she believed him when he kept complaining about his situation. At the very least, she had a clear proof of it, now.
“So, yeah, I kicked the bucket. I was getting the Dragon Balls to wish for my health to return, but I kept getting weaker. Then I got taken down by that stupid ghost Saiyan and that bug-thing. I guess the irony is that now my wish somehow got granted, heh.”
He had a lot of questions, there had been quite some time since they last met. Since he had any news of the Stargoons, even. Maybe he did care, after all.
“Why are you here in the first place?”
Surely, she didn’t come only to see him.

When she heard a familiar gruff voice cursing at her, Bloom immediately perked up and turned toward the source of the voice. There he was! As blue and grumpy as ever! In fact, he looked pretty good honestly. Like, better than when he was alive. Kind of weird, but Bloom didn’t pay it much mind right now. She was just jazzed to see him. She chuckled as he called her out on her pretty awesome halo disguise. She made an offended face.
“What…? My disguise was flawless…!” She claimed, unable to keep a straight face and breaking down into chuckles. Dosu gave a pretty quick explanation of why he was dead, which pretty much answered most of her questions and raised a few more. Bloom nodded and took off her massive backpack when he asked why she was here. Wasn’t that obvious?
Bloom grinned and scooped up Dosu into a big hug. “Why do you think, old man...? I wanted to see you..! Mumbo and the others left me a note, saying that you died and also that they got hired to blow up Namek, so I figured I’d see if I could give you a visit… See how you’re doin’ and such...”
She let go and gestured to the huge backpack. “I also brought a couple of your things that I thought you might want...? Some food and stuff I figured you couldn’t get here... You know, this is really not what I pictured… for hell… Especially considering like… the demon realm I had to get through to get here… We’re actually kind of celebrities there, you know…? And the cultists that tried to ritual sacrifice me… huh… Well anyway… You look good…! For being dead and all… But uh… why didn’t you come get us to help you…? We’re a team, you know… You’re the one that drilled that into my head back in Central City…”
Bloom turned and dug around in the overstuffed backpack, tossing a couple of weights onto the sand as she pulled out a photo of herself, Dosu, and Mumbo back around the time that they first joined up and handed it over to him. “A lot of this is snacks and stuff, but I figured you’d like this at least…”

Despite the time in which he hadn’t seen her, he was rather relived to find out that Bloom was still pretty much the same. Doing all that just for him, especially after he went on his own and died. But if she didn’t go with the rest of the gang, maybe he should reprimand her a little.
“And so instead of helping out, you chose to come here instead? Idiot! They might need you over there! As for me, well I ain’t going nowhere. I guess this is home now, huh?”
He didn’t reciprocate the hug at first, still unsure on how to deal with that kind of stuff. To him, she was only being silly right now, though he was sure it meant something important to her. While he was unable to fully comprehend, he did think he’d rather see her alive and well than over here with him.
“Ah, what he hell…” he mumbled before placing his hand behind her head, getting her closer to him.
She started rambling jumping from a subject to the other. So she brought stuff for him. Huh? What was that about being celebrities? A cult? He felt his brain was about to fry about all that information coming to him all at once.
“Hold on. What did you do to become a celebrity there? And what is this thing about a cult? A lot of stuff happened, huh.”
He looked at the backpack.
“Well, if you gave yourself that much trouble, I hope you brought the good stuff. The food here ain’t bad, but I’m starting to miss all that unhealthy junk found on Earth. I don’t even know if I need to eat anymore, I guess so. If I want to get stronger and all, y’know?”
He tried evading the question for a while. Why didn’t call on them to help him? Yeah, why did he do that?
“I didn’t want to associate the name of the Stargoons with my pathetic self. I knew I was a goner, it was only a matter of when. I figured I’d give it a shot, but I wasn’t strong enough. Don’t read too much into it. What’s done is done and I won’t ask you guys to fetch the Dragon Balls for me…Especially since you want to blow up Namek and all.”
He looked at her getting stuff out of the bag, starting with a couple of weights.
“Pfft! You think these are enough for me? I’ll have you know I’m nowhere near what I used to be. I could defeat anyone now!”
Then came the picture and he stopped. These were some fun times, weren’t they? I wished he could feel nostalgic about it. He slowly got his arm around Bloom’s neck and swiftly brought her to him, rubbing the top of her head with his fist to piss her off.
“Look at you getting emotional on me! If you think I’m gonna cry, sorry to disappoint you!...But thanks, I appreciate it.”
He let her go and picked up the picture. If he had to guess, they were the closest thing he had to a family, didn’t he?
“I’m doing good, by the way. I feel great, actually. Physically, at least. I’m not gonna lie to you, I went through a lot. I know death has stirred a lot of things in me. I’ve lost some, gained others. You know what I want, now? I really feel like beating a lot of people up. No particular reason. I just want to see people hurt all over. That idea makes me happy, I think. I want to come back to life, too. I don’t know how, but I’ll do it. I promised Mumbo, after all. That’s weird, huh?”

Oh man, how nostalgic. Bloom couldn’t help but grin when Dosu yelled at her for visiting him instead of helping out the other goons. It was nice when the huge tsundere of a man relented and reciprocated her hug. At least in his own way. She would give him a passing grade on that sort of hug. Plus, it was kind of payback for the big bear hug he had given her back in Central City. She knew he cared even if he would never admit it out loud or to himself. Dosu tried to follow her story, but considering that she left out a lot, she couldn’t blame him if he was a little lost. She hadn’t really thought about if dead people needed to eat or if they even could eat, but she guessed this really would be hell if she couldn’t chow down. After a minute or two of avoiding her earlier question, he finally came up with an answer that sounded so very typically Dosu.
“Aw, Dosu, is that all…? You’re a goon…! We’re a family… I don’t care if you’re an old codger on their deathbed… I bet you went out in style though…! And, it’s not that Mumbo and me and the others don’t want you back… I think they got hired while I was in a food coma or something… Not sure on the full context…”
When she pulled out the picture, she blinked for a second before being roughly pulled to Dosu’s chest with his fist rubbing the top of her head. Bloom hissed and squirmed, popping free when he finally let her go. She rubbed her head and shot him a vaguely annoyed look. But her irritation quickly faded into mild contentment as he thanked her.
“Yeah, you look younger actually…” She grinned when he mentioned making people hurt, “Heeey…! That sounds like a goon to me…! Hehe, I guess we both have settled more into the whole evil thing, huh…? And you know, you gotta promise me too that you’ll find some way to bust outta here…! I wanna wreck some fools with you again… and I mean… if there’s anyone that can do it, it’s you…”
Shrugging, Bloom kept digging around in her backpack. She really didn’t have any doubt that if there were some way to escape hell, Dosu would find it. He was a stubborn bastard like that. Still, it was one of the reasons why she loved the guy, so go figure. She pulled out a whole assortment of snacks and junk food. The five main food groups really. Sweet, Sour, Salty, Chocolate, and Minty. Most of it was candy and chips. Things that wouldn’t melt or go bad along the way. She had even brought cereal, though she wasn’t sure if milk was a thing here. After the snacks were all carefully arranged, Bloom unceremoniously dumped out the remaining contents. Some were clothes and pajamas. Others knick knacks she had scooped up from around his bed in the firehouse.
“There… that’s all of it… but hey… Hell doesn’t really look like I thought it would…. it’s kind of scenic…? I mean we’re on a damn beach… oh! Right… uh so… I wasn’t sure how to get here at first other than the uh… usual method… but then I found some shady guys in dark robes that told me I had to go through the Demon Realm… I think they were a cult or something because they tried to sacrifice me…”
Bloom paused and dug out one of their ritual daggers from inside of her gut and tossed it onto the sand. “That didn’t work out for them… but I did get into the Demon Realm… I found out that evil guys are like celebrities there…! Apparently, Maple and the Stargoons are super famous there… it was kind of cool to see honestly…”

|Not Like the Movies| Dosu's PL: 120'000 (Ki setting)
That loudmouth just wouldn’t stop talking, right? He supposed it was to be expected, coming from her…and was kind of endearing, in a sense. Just what led this teenager down the path of evil, again? Was it betrayal? Was she merely playing pretend with them? He knew she wasn’t all that bad. Proof being she had come all the way only to give him snacks and little else. That’s not something the others would have done, he was confident about it. Was it a sense of “honor among thieves” or in that case “fraternity among evildoers” that drove her? It would be nice if it were the case. Real damn nice, yeah. Because it’s anything he’s ever wanted, wasn’t it? Someone who shared similar struggles and accepted him for who he was. Not asking him to change, not trying to grandstand him about his ways. Just being there and sticking no matter how flawed he was. And yet, it felt surreal to him. Almost impossible, even. What was this gut feeling he had, exactly? He didn’t know.
He preserved the photo she gave him, putting it safely in his gi. There she was babbling about weird stuff like him coming back to life so they could break stuff. He sat on the ground and listened, not daring to make any comment yet. He had tackled the subject with her once or twice, already. Made it pretty clear to her when she got mind controlled by that effeminate robot, back in Central City. This life, all of this…crap…it wasn’t all cracked up as it appeared to be. It was no life to wish for, much less to try and emulate. She was just a kid, eating sweets and napping. She had people waiting for her. People who saw her as more than just an asset or a pawn to further their goal. She could try and say the same about it, but their relationship pale in comparison to that. He had gotten a glimpse of it once, he knew just how deep and strong that feeling of care and love was. In his own, messy way, maybe this budding sense of almost paternal affection was telling him to cut ties with her. For her future, for her chance to not fall into the same pit as he did, just for her sake.
“Hey.”
He cut her mid-speech as she was talking about Hell, rambling on about the most mundane things. He stared at her for a while, an almost blank stare on his face. He appeared oddly calm.
“Don’t you think it’s time to just call it? Look, kid, I appreciate you, but the villain thing just doesn’t suit you. What’s the matter about this, anyway? You come down all the way over here to bring me crap and stuff to eat? I’ll just tell you straight, you’re not cut out for this. I’ve had to carry your ass many times already, I don’t want to do it anymore. You’re just a kid, a strong one I’ll give you that, but you’ve got people waiting for you. I don’t know if that’s just you going through a phase or just playing the Saturday morning cartoon villain, but I think it’s time to go back. To the people that really give a shit about you. You’ve got no future with us, you can’t just get almost killed for coming to a place full of dead people just to toss chips and soda to an old dead man you barely know. You gotta know how absurd this is, right?”
He paused for a moment. Was this going to get through to her? She was a stubborn one, too.
“Just go back. Don’t become like me. Or like any of them. I don’t care nearly as much as you think I do. If you go down that path, this is where you’ll end up. And believe me, no one’s gonna come to see you. Life sucks. You may not understand it yet, but it fucking does. You have the chance to go through it as peacefully as possible, why not take it? You’re no villain material, anyway. If you disagree, then fight me once I’m alive. I’ll splatter you on the ground, just like I used to. As many times as I need to. And I can tell you that every fucking time, you will be the real winner. So pack your shit and get lost, this place ain’t for you. See ya, Bloom.”
He turned his back to her and flew away. This was a lonely path to strive. She didn’t need to be a part of this. He could only hope she’d understand something from this. She deserved better, that’s all he knew. And better meant to be as far as possible from him.
OOC: Leaving this thread. See ya, Bloom!
