Ikra’s PL: 24,000
Pitch black darkness pervaded one particular room inside of the palace in Konats’ capital. From within, a very quiet, very unsettling sound echoed. One long, sustained groan grated on the nerves of anyone who passed close enough to hear it. It almost sounded like reality creaking and shifting. All of the servants knew by instinct alone not to disturb the occupant. Not right now. The groaning ended abruptly as one servant passed by. They froze in fear. A harsh, frantic scratching sound crept out from the room. It threatened to scratch out their eyes. Scratch out their sense. They fled with a whimper. Inside of the room, Ikra slumped over her desk. Her eyes shone like wide discs out of the darkness. Her whole body was outlined by what could be described static or scribbles. Her aura made the world fray at the edges. She scratched at her desk. A deep gash had been dug into the wood like a gaping wound. The only thing that Ikra wondered was: Why? Why hadn’t Riis summoned her? Why had he not called upon her? Why? Whywhywhywhywhy?!? Had she done something to offend him?! Was she failing in his expectations even now?!? What was it?!? What was the reason WHY?!? As she racked her brain for the umpteenth time, she stopped scratching. She was starved for his attention. She hadn’t been apart from him for this long in years. Possibly never. And now that he was so close. So within reach… with Kaal gone away, it had only gotten worse. Her distractions disappeared one by one. Why?An idea appeared in her brain. It was one that she had been entertaining for a while, but had tossed out because it was too risky. But now it appeared again as tantalizing as it had ever been. There was one thing that she could do that would be sure to get his attention. And she was almost certain now that she could spin it in a positive light so that Riis wouldn’t hate her. Yes. It would be easy. So easy. The idea being, of course, to seek the throne for herself. Ikra smiled dreamily at the idea of Riis throwing himself at her, wanting her attention. She would be all too happy to give it to him. She would be a kind queen. A doting one. And, it would allow Riis to pursue his true ambition with someone looking after Konats. He wanted more than just one planet, after all. He was to be a darling emperor. It would work. It had to work. The darkness in the room abruptly retreated as Ikra pushed herself up off of her abused desk, sucking back into her. Only a hint of her desperation showed on her otherwise now determined face. Throwing open the window to let light into the room, she smiled and glanced over to the mirror, morphing her clothes into something a touch more regal for the occasion. She ran a hand through her soft hair to style it and nodded to herself. Perfect. She was dressed to kill. Ikra made her way down to the throne room. As usual, it was empty save for a few servants maintaining it. She snapped her fingers at one of them and waited as they trotted over to her. “Hello, sweetie. Could you please fetch me one of the mages? I need to project a message across the planet.”With a nervous nod, the servant snapped to her request and ran off in a hurry. While she waited for them to return, Ikra slid leisurely into the throne, running her fingers along the armrest. She glanced to the King’s chair, imagining Riis sitting there beside her. Mmm… how wonderful. It wasn’t long before the servant returned with several mages in tow, but Ikra didn’t bother getting up. She let them approach her as they all exchanged looks with one another. She gestured for them to get on with their magic, and after a bit of reluctance, they heeded her request. The mages didn’t dislike her, of course. Ikra had been a resident of the palace for quite a while now and had been handling a lot of the day to day administrative duties of running a kingdom while Riis was recovering. One of them gave her a nod as a magical orb appeared and pointed itself at her. Ikra put on her most charming smile and began. “Good afternoon, dear citizens of Konats. I hope your day has been wonderful thus far. Some of you may recognize me, but for those who don’t, I am Ikra, one of attendants to the crown. My announcement is this. Effectively immediately, I shall be your new Queen. Not to worry though. I’ll do everything in my power to look after you all and make our wonderful planet into a bright, shining jewel, the envy of all the cosmos!”A collective gasp went up from the few assembled before her. One of the mages marched over to her with the full intention of dragging her out of the throne. Ikra could hear the shuffling of hurried guards’ feet. Her charming expression soured and grew cold as a hand reached out to her. She lifted her own and a shadow spear shot out to the mage’s neck, pausing the instant before it pierced him. He froze. “Now, now. I wasn’t asking to be the Queen. I’m demanding to be the Queen. It’s very different, you see.”
Rising from the throne, Ikra kept the spear neatly pointed at the mage’s throat, looking at him like a disappointed mother might at a indignant child. “I don’t want any harm to come to all of you, but if you won’t accept me as your ruler peacefully, then I’m afraid that I’ll have to be a little mean.”As she said that, Ikra snapped her fingers. Instantly, darkness surged out from her. It rushed past the mages, past the guards and swept over the entire capital as dark blotted out the sun’s light. Shadows moved within the resulting dusk, eyes piercing through the now very thin veil between the light and what goes bump in the night. Ikra’s form tattered at the edges as if it were difficult to maintain her more pleasant humanoid form. The eyes piercing through the veil ripped and tore at it and formed up unstable little bodies. They lurched at the guards that had just arrived as well as the mages gathered there. “I’m not exactly taking no for an answer. I’ll drown the world in the horrors of the shadows if I have to.”Because it was for Riis. It was all for Riis. Ikra would do absolutely anything for Riis.
[Assist SIG] Eclipse used! The capital of Konats is shrouded in darkness. Shadow creatures are starting to come through. Real horror show honestly.

Power Level Indicator: Babyl's PL: 26,000
A few miles from the Capital of Konats, A lone figure rose from the ground in a puddle of shadow. A quivering rumble at his feet followed by a piercing ray of light in the shadow realm alerted Babyl of trouble ahead. The real problem was that he was unsure of what could have caused such a massive shock, one that tore the veil between the realms of light and dark. He knew shadow demons could travel between the veil, as he often did, but something on this scale was like nothing he had seen before. The only other shadow demon he knew was his sister, Ikra. Did she have something to do with this? If so, what the shade was she doing and for what reason?! He could no longer afford to waste time. It was time he took measures into his own hands. First, he needed to find out what was going on, and to do that, he needed to get to the capital. Liquefying his shape once more, Babyl returned to the shadow realm and set off to the capital from that world. It was the quickest and safest way to get where he needed to go, and if there were shadows leaking out from there, he might be able to stop it. Like a speeding bullet, he rushed forward. He became a black blur, travelling at tremendous speeds with every second that passed. Still, he knew it would take time to get to the capital, even with this method hastening his travel times. This gave him time to think. What in the black moon is going on! What have you done, Ikra? What if... His thoughts shifted once more to the sole reason Ikra came to this blasted realm in the first place. Riis. What did you do to her?! Did you make her do this?! If you did, I'll beat you to a bloody pulp! He was always unsure of Riis, but wanted what was best for Ikra. That being said, he never thought that was Riis, either, but her love- nay, her obsession with the man had driven her to such lengths as to travel to a realm the shadow demons were never meant to inhabit. What was so special about him? Babyl shook his head and tried to clear his thoughts. This could be something else entirely. It wasn't the first time a shadow demon tried to break out of the shadow realm and unleash vast armies of evil upon a world, at least according to stories. It could be another shadow king. He thought. There had been legends passed down about the origins of the shadow demons. While many demons from ancient times towed the line between good and evil, one demon in particular seemed especially troubled. Rumors, like wildfires, spread at tremendous rates. For every shadow demon that said he was the scourge of the light who took no prisoners and killed anyone who opposed him, there was another who spoke only of his kindness and desire to free the shadow demons from the "prison" that was the shadow realm. Whether it was for freedom or to conquer another realm didn't matter. They unleashed hell upon that world and caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. That was thousands of years ago. Babyl had no real way of knowing the truth from fiction, and it didn't matter. If this was another instance of that, the situation would be different anyway. There was only one way to find out. "Hold on Ikra... I'm coming."KP: 3/3

Riis PL: 20,000 Items: Space Ship, Blutz Generator, Bloody Ruby Pendant
Why now? The universe was in enough turmoil as it was. An act such as this could easily be seen as divisive or worse still, provocatory. As if that wasn’t bad enough it wasn’t enough the prince or any prince giving this decree. It was the heir’s most loyal subject and follower. Someone he was not sure how to face after his humbling experience on Namek and Arcose. Riis quickly bolted from his bed, wasting no time, only throwing on the most basic clothing he had. He prayed he wasn’t too late. Ikra could spark a full-on rebellion if he didn’t do something soon.
“Ikra.”
For the first time in a very long time, Riis would find himself facing the throne. His throne. He stared up at his beautiful demoness servent. “Ikra,” he repeated more sternly but still calm, “What are you doing? Are you trying to take the throne from…” He paused. The eldest royal son never took his chance to take his birthright. The one time he did he was talked down by some lowly peasant girl with a bit of muscle and a rebellious attitude. Ikra couldn’t take something from him if he never owned it, to begin with.
“Let me rephrase.” His stern tone slowly dissipated into concern. “Why are you doing this?” As he spoke, several people began gathering in the throne room, no doubt anxious to see what all this commotion was. “Please Ikra. I can not let you harm my people. Even if I was never king, I still care about Konats. Let’s stop this before anyone has to get hurt. We don’t need to drown anyone with shadows.” He’d slowly make his way toward his throne, with cautions but purposeful steps. There was just one issue. Riis could sense that Ikra was getting stronger. Stronger than he was, not that that was such a difficult feat. If the demon were serious about turning nasty, he would come up short unless you used his pendant.

Post by Golgari #067-B on Feb 22, 2020 12:26:53 GMT -6
The sounds of confusion had first sparked within only a select few members of the family, or the Hive as Golgari liked to call it. Murmurs of panic and surprise as the few Lunarian experiments that were within the capital of Konats that day were swallowed by an all consuming void of darkness. This panic only further increased as the message was relayed across the planet to each and every one of their family, including a certain thrillseeking joyrider. At first it wasn't more than a curiosity, tinged with a bit of concern, and those trapped within the darkness were quickly calmed down by their brothers and sisters. However, that all ended when those living within settlements across the planet received the magical message. Panic flared through the hive, even as a schism quickly began to form. There were those that supported Ikra's actions, as she had been one of the two people to free them and had been responsible for the majority of the Lunarian's smooth integration into the Konatsian lawbooks and citizenry. Then there were others, majority being those who lived outside of the established towns, who objected towards what she was trying to do. They said that it wasn't right, that this wasn't how things were meant to be done.
In the middle of the quickly growing argument was Golgari. Even as the Lunarian kicked the sand beneath him to spin his bike into the direction of the Capital in the distance, he was assaulted by wave upon wave of demands and questions. Not only the most powerful amongst their family, he was also the one who had spent the most time around Ikra out of all of them. Because of this both sides warred to have him agree with them, knowing that those who had yet to pick a side would quickly join his chosen side and a consensus would then be reached. Golgari's bike sped through the sands, engine roaring as he kicked it into the highest gear he could, sand kicking up into a rapidly growing cloud behind him. 'Shut up! Just... shut up!' His antennae twitch irritably, for a moment quelling thousands of voices as they bickered and squabbled. 'There's no way this doesn't have anything to do with that prince she's always going on about. The one with the red hair.' Leaning back in his seat, he looks towards the growing orb of darkness that once represented the capital.
A rev of his engine and a stretch of his legs sent the hover bike flying further into the sky, clearing the height that he knew the walls to be. The darkness soon began to fill his vision as he sailed towards it. 'I got my own issues with the guy, but she's threatenin' to hurt people. That ain't gonna fly. Look, we all... like her. I get it. But as far as i'm concerned...' The darkness swallows his bike, and then himself as he sails into the pitch black capital. Slowly, his eyes and circuit-like veins begin to glow, providing a modicum of illumination as his bike lands with a rough whumpf. 'We can't support it. Not like this. Now get your asses over here.' With that, he shut them out. He wasn't stupid enough to completely exclude the possibility of things coming down to a brawl, and having that many voices in his head wouldn't help. That being said... 'To anyone nearing the planet of Konats, stay the fuck out.' His antennae begin to hum as a call was sent out to the entirety of the Galaxy, 'voice' filling the minds of all living creatures out there even as he sighted the entrance to the castle. This was a matter for their home, and he didn't want any others interfering. Granted, all it would do is bring attention, but for now he figured the warning would last long enough for things to be sorted out. Then, he sent out another call, although this one was significantly quieter. 'Typha. Ikra's gunning for the throne. I don't know what you're doing at Namek, but we need you here.'
Engine roaring, Golgari leaps off of his bike at the last moment as the rocket powered vehicle crashes into the closed doors of the main hall and busts them open. Wings flaring, Golgari slows himself and lands within the door frame, even as his bike skids to a stop along the (formerly) burnished floors. 'Ikra.' He starts, looking up towards the woman on the throne. 'What the hell?'

The terrified expressions of the guards and mages bothered Ikra somewhat if she was perfectly honest with herself. She much preferred their smiles and laughter. It was… regrettable that it had to come to this, but she didn’t really have any other option in her mind. This was for Riis’s sake. His goals, his well being, his dreams… they all came before everything else in her mind. She’d give everything that she was for him. Still, Ikra didn’t want any of her shadow soldiers doing anything rash. She lightly tapped her foot to summon one to her side and turned slightly to address him.
“Be a dear and tell the others to subdue those that respond with violence, otherwise just detain them, and try to stop anyone from reaching the palace, yes? Good. Off you go.”
With a little salute, her shadow soldier disappeared into the floor and was off to deliver her orders. Sighing softly, Ikra slumped back down into the throne, rubbing her temples. Why did they all have to make this so difficult? She only had the best of intentions for Konats. It wasn’t long before a familiar voice called out to her and cut through all of her frustration. She perked up almost immediately, jolting out of the throne and turning to face the man that she adored above all others. Her face was colored with a slight red blush as she smiled at him.
“Riis! My lord~!”
His stern tone bothered her though. Her happiness at seeing him dissolved almost immediately into anxiety. She walked past the mages, her shadow soldiers restraining them and pulling them out of her way. Before she even got halfway down the steps to reach him, his stern tone changed into one of… concern? She paused and frowned thoughtfully. Was her execution off? Mm.. perhaps he had expected her to do this in some other way? Should she… not go to his side? Mm, no. She had utter faith in him. He knew how she would handle this, so… this must have been an act! For the people. Ah, Riis was just so wise, wasn’t he?
Ikra cleared her throat in preparation to answer him properly when Golgari crashed through the doors of the throne room with his bike. She blinked at him in surprise. “Golgari… I… just one moment, sweetie.” She tried to recompose herself and gave him a small wave before turning back to Riis.
“Why, my lord? Because I realized your intentions for me! I apologize for taking so long, honestly. Konats is to be the first jewel in an even greater crown, is it not? A galactic crown.”
Smiling lovingly at Riis, she walked down the rest of the stairs and kneeled down before Riis as gracefully as she could muster. “That was your intention, was it not? For me to look after Konats while you aspire to even greater heights? But… our people, they refused your desires, and I really couldn’t abide that… even if they are our darling little subjects. Well, really ultimately yours.”
She looked up at Riis with sparkling eyes, waiting for him to confirm her suspicions. Confirmation from him would make the transition to her much easier. Hah, Riis had probably foreseen as much. Really, he was just too wise! Too wonderful!

Something, didn't quite feel right. The Vangardian warrior had just recently departed from the planet formally known as Gemini B, after a long day of waiting as well as a nice little conversation with the alien Boft and his crew of merry misfits, and as his ship began to near the coordinates of his, currently considered homeworld, Konats, he began to feel in his approach a foreboding aura within his path. Originally, Kaal had thought that there had simply been a misread of the code he had inputted into his ship, and perhaps he had punched in the wrong coordinates and ended up on the wrong side of the, universal, tracks. However, after ensuring that he had indeed put the correct location within the GPS, Kaals mood turned to one of confusion to that of immediate concern, realizing indeed that his planet was possibly in danger. Sighing slightly, he had only returned to Konats in hopes of a more relaxing atmosphere to take part in, as well as to see Ikra once more, so this was not at all part of the plan. As soon as Konats came in direct line of sight of Kaals ship, the (relatively) young mans eyes widened slightly. The entire planet, it seemed, had been encompassed within a strange, darkened, black abyss like substance. He could feel something familiar emanating from within though, and his intuition told him that it was indeed what he thought it was; of magical descent. Now fully intrigued, Kaal flew through the thick, black smog like substance and landed a couple hundred yards off of his home city, not wanting to create too much of a commotion upon initial impact.
Once Kaal had entered the city, he began to go around to the public, who were all seemingly on edge from recent events taken place, asking about what exactly had transpired within his absence. Being well-known by the townspeople for his innate helpful attitude as well as through his actions of attempting to help with the rebuilding efforts from the catastrophic near extinction event that had befallen the race in his first few weeks of being there, they were quite happy to tell him exactly what was going on. Apparently Ikra was attempting to claim the Konatsian throne by force, and now the whole kingdom was in disarray as in to how to approach such an action. Hearing this only helped to fuel Kaals confusion, and he knew that simply asking around wouldn't be enough. He eventually found his nerve and began his march toward the palace, already sensing a large gathering of power signatures there right as a familiar voice rang inside his head- warning outsiders to stay put.
"Stay the fuck out, heh. Golgari's still just as I remember him," Kaal muttered as he ignored his very warning, continuing on his path. He had encountered one or two, strangely shadow-like creatures (of which he assumed they were made by who he thought they were) attempting to halt him in his procession, but with a single clap of thunderous might, they were little more than the shadow that they themselves had come from afterward. the Vangardian eventually making it to the palace main doors, throwing them open with an unintended dramatic flourish as he strode inside, walking beside and then past Golgari upon his bike with a nod of notice, and looking at the royal guardsmen and mages assembled with a sympathetic and reassuring expression. He raised a single palm toward the group present, moving his hand downward in a calming manner, motioning for them to stand down. Also well known with majority of the royal staff, what with him living in the very palace for a decent amount of time, they also placed a good amount of trust within the Vangardians guidance- heeding his warning and retreating to the farther corners of the throne room, ready to jump in if necessary.
Though, to be fair, it was Ikra of all people- was there any real need to be in such disarray? He knew her well enough, there was little to no reason for her to even be attempting such a strangely forceful takeover, correct? Unless there was outside influence to such a decision, but what exactly it could be still was quite unsure within Kaals mind as he continued marching forward, his capes fabric gently running along the polished hardwood floors as he...
...eventually was face to face with what could be the reason why.
"Oh, Ikra."
Seeing her knelt before whom he assumed was Prince Riis was all Kaal needed to understand what this could possibly be about. While he never really probed into her, strangely obsessive, liking of the Konatsian royal (for SEVERAL reasons, he'd rather not state), Kaal knew all too well how much she cared for the young man. Was this possibly an act of passion, then? A trial by fire? An attempt to prove that she was worthy of his hand?
If so, there were better ways of going about it, than causing a widespread panic within your own peoples midday routines.
Once Kaal had come decently close to the two, he quickly bowed slightly toward Prince Riis, saying, "While we haven't met before, I have heard many a good thing about you, Prince Riis, and it is a privilege to finally make your acquaintance. I hope you do not mind my intrusion, but Ikra happens to be a close friend of mine as well, and I as just as concerned as you must have been for both the people and her own well being."
After addressing the royal in the room, Kaal then turned to the other noble, a slightly amused smile creeping onto his features as he spoke in an endearing tone, "Ikra, I'm not here to accuse or to judge here, but, you must understand where I- and I assume Riis, and Golgari- are coming from. This is, admittedly, quite the spectacle you've put on," said with a slight chuckle as he continued, "But taking rule of your planet by force is not something any of us either expected, nor wanted. I am sure you can explain yourself, that I do not doubt, but, surely you realize your actions could have incredibly dire consequences, for the people, and yourself, yes?"
Moving closer so that he stood a little behind the right side of Riis, Kaal finished off his statement by saying, in an attempt to both lessen the tense mood and appeal to Ikra and his's friendship as a chance of alleviating the atmosphere as well, "So, as a favor from one friend to another, could you please stop this madness before it devolves into something of worse nature? Then, I'm sure we could discuss the intent behind such action later, perhaps over lunch or something."

Power Level Indicator: Babyl's PL: 26,000
It took far too long for Babyl to finally make it to the palace grounds. Of course, it didn't look like the palace, for while the shadow realm was mostly a reflection of the realm of light, it wasn't perfect. He knew he could go no further into the palace through the shadow realm, so he travelled through the rift that Ikra created just outside of the palace. Once he emerged again, he caught a glimpse of a stranger walking into the palace with pools of shadow waning in his steps. It seemed to Babyl that this person had destroyed some of the shadows that were likely guarding the palace. None of this made any sense to him. This wasn't like Ikra at all... at least not when she was thinking clearly. If this was all for Riis... Just what had he done to brainwash her?! As he approached the palace, more shadow guards approached him to try and stop him, only for them to be absorbed by Babyl and aid in keeping his form stable. The obvious anger on his face was eclipsed by his staggering stature. While he normally slumped over to fit inside buildings, his true height was an astounding 10 feet, based entirely off of the idea he was given by Ikra that 'Women love tall men' in the realm of light. His goals were to bring happiness to people, and he thought that his sister was different than the rest of his shadow siblings. She was normally so kind... And now she's threatening innocent lives? He had to do something. Eventually, the shadows that threw themselves at him stopped in their entirety and Babyl walked into the throne room, eyes glaring forward in search of Ikra. What he saw instead was indeed Ikra, but she was bowing before Riis. I knew he had something to do with this! The concern and fear on her face confirmed Babyl's bias, forcing him further into rage as he approached the two of them, completely ignoring anyone else in the room. "RIIS! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SISTER?!" His voice was fierce as his form wavered with fragments of black mist. His concern had long faded as his thoughts turned over in his mind. The only conclusion Babyl could come to was that this was Riis' fault. Her obsession had grown too deep, and her love for him was borderline psychotic. All he could do was stare at Ikra in disappointment. Yet somewhere deep inside him... he couldn't help but blame himself. His black hair turned flame-like and his clothing flickered again as his unstable emotions fought within him.

It seemed Ikra made some friends since she came to the physical world. A rather blunt moth-like person and a human-looking fellow. The prince supposed that a move like this would attract attention, no matter how desperately he wished for this to stay quiet. Of course, the demoness was anything but. She was loud and proud. To make matters worse, both of these newcomers seemed to poses energies near his own. Kais only knew what that meant should a fight break out. Riis had to deal with this as tactfully as possible.
“Ah yes,” he turned to Kaal, looking a little uncertain. “I am indeed Prince Riis, a pleasure to meet you,” he turned toward the moth, “both of you. Forgive me, I would normally love to formally introduce myself but now is not the best time.” He brought his attention back to the demon on his throne. It seemed she had it in her head to take the reigns from him while he went to rule other worlds. Which was a little silly considering he was never king.
Granted, Ikra’s words did strike a chord with him. Thanks to Ashi’s efforts, the people of Konats were hesitant to accept his rule. As he said to the woman himself, the time for words was long over. The added prospect of Konats being the crown jewel of many… The Konatsian Empire. No, now was not the time for that. Riis ascended to the throne, now standing on equal footing with his most loyal follower.
“You missed an important step, my dear Ikra. In order for you to look after Konats for me, I need to-”
The eldest noble son was cut short when a loud irate voice sliced through the conversation. He wheeled around to see a tall muscular man, looking almost exactly like a very masculine Ikra. The family resemblance was uncanny. As an older sibling himself, Riis knew that hell hath no fury like a sibling defending their family.
“I… Didn’t know Ikra had a brother. I can assure you sir I did nothing to harm your sister. She is without a doubt my most loyal follower. This is just a minor misunderstanding.” He turned back to the sister in question. “As I was saying. It would hardly be right for me to leave someone else in charge of something I do not yet rule. It’s true that a certain someone,” Riis grit his teeth as he recalled the painful memory of his failed coronation, “sowed discontent among my people. But I seek to earn their trust, not threaten them into submission.”
Post order just in case: Ikra -> Kaal -> Babyl -> Riis -> Golgari

Flip's PL: 54,621 Well, this had certainly been unexpected. As the Big Gamble approached the planet of Konats, Flip had almost expected to have to deal with the self righteous Prince Typha. Sure, the royal had no solid reason to throw him and his crew off of the planet, Flip was not in the mood to have to deal with him. Someone like him Flip had to be careful around, and the fact he had a strong set of morals made things complicated. But this, this was something new. Darkness engulfing the capital city. The shadows blocked the view of the big ship from the city, which was a small blessing, but also, it caught Flip's curiosity. Was something happening down there? A crisis perhaps? Because if so, it was something Flip could potentially take advantage of. And so, as the big ship hung over the city, Flip flew down to check it out. The shadows didn't stop him from flying through into the city, but as he approached, he could see what was happening. Panic in the streets, shadow creatures running amock. Oh yes, Flip could certainly take advantage of this situation, if he can find the source of it. And what better place to start looking than the royal palace? As he flew towards the palace, he could see the chaos had gripped it as well. Guards, mages and servants running around in a panic, as shadow monsters stalked the grounds. As he approached, a voice echoed in his mind to keep away, but Flip promptly ignored it. He was going to see exactly what was going on. As he touched down, a pair of shadow creatures approached him, intent on driving him away. Flip gave a cruel chuckle. Oh, these shadows had some strength to them, but compared to Flip, well, they were nothing but vapors. A couple of well placed hits reduced them to nothing, allowing Flip to go further in. As he walked, the crime lord whistled a small tune, twirling his cane. It was rather unsettling, compared to the chaos around him. But he didn't mind. After all, he was confident he was going to come out of this on top. Eventually, he would arrive at the throne room. And inside was certainly a colorful group of characters. But his eyes fell on one in particular. A shadow demon, kneeling before a Konatsian, barely able to maintain her humanoid form. The same shadow demon Flip had encountered the last time he was here on this world. Ikra. Ah yes, Flip should have known she was behind this. A cocky smile stretched across his face. "Well, well, well," Flip's voice rang out, seemingly cutting through everything, as the head of the Fortuna Syndicate strolled into the throne room casually, "What have we here?" He looked around, taking everything in before his eyes fell on the main center of attention. "Looks like we've got a little problem here. A jilted lover, shadow monsters running amock, and once again, like last time, in his people's moment of strife, Prince Typha isn't here." Oh yes, he made it a point to point out that little detail. It seemed the prince had a habit of disappearing when his people were in trouble, for all his talk about protecting them. But that can wait until later. He scanned everyone in the room. Oh, this was going to be easier than he thought.

Boft and co. were making some good progress on their way to Konats. Carl peered out through the little window in the cramped pod to see the surface of the planet. It'd only be a few minutes until they'd be landing. "Boft, I dunno about this one... Isn't this place like, superpopulated now? What if we get recognized and someone tips off the GP? And what about that whole thing where a bunch of em just up and died? What's stoppin' an extinction from happening again and we get caught up in-" Boft grabbed Carl's face, silencing the poop. The Eggman trusted Kaal. So when he decided to head back to Konats, he believed it'd be best for his gang to join him. Kaal seemed to know powerful people on Konats, so maybe if they accompanied him they'd find a safe place for asylum. A place to relax and settle down for a time. Drink some tea, stare out at the deserts, watch birds if the planet had any.
His idea of a happy time on Konats was interrupted by a message that played in his head. One that told him to "stay the fuck out" of Konats. It seemed like it hadn't actually come from his own thoughts, because his two companions seemed to hear it too. "H-Hey Boft, we're gonna turn around now right? They sounded real serious there. Maybe another robot takeover's happenin! W-We gotta scram!" The space pod did not change course. "Kikikiki!" "Yeah, come on Boft! Wh-What if some super strong alien bad guy is there trying to conquer it! That's too high level for some guys like us! We'll get massacred out there! You should call up Kaal on some space pod call thing and tell him to get the hell outta dodge!" Boft's two companions kept trying to squeeze past the giant Eggman to reach the controls, but with the pod being so cramped and Boft being... Well, Boft, it was practically impossible to move him out of the way enough to reach the controls. They were in for the ride of a lifetime. "ONE OF THESE DAYS YOU'RE REALLY GONNA GET US KILLED YA KNOW!"
The pod gently drops down onto the streets of the capital of Konats and Boft hops out. He had been there once on a smuggling job early on in his criminal career. He got hit with a wave of nostalgia that was quickly interrupted by the horror he saw around him. The other two jump out and Todd was now equipped with a bag of cheesy bao poofs. "H-Hey Todd where'd you get those?! Gimme one!" The Poop and the Saibaman were now embroiled in a brawl for cheesy poofs, seemingly oblivious to what Boft was seeing. The entire capital was shrouded in some shadow that he could only assume was magical. He wasn't well versed in magic, only seeing demons a handful of times before. But he could recognize devilish fuckery anywhere. And it was certainly here. Not only that, but all sorts of shadowy creatures had popped up! This definitely wasn't the norm, judging by all the panicked elf-eared folk running in every direction. Boft grabs his poop-seijin pal by the top of his head and reels back to throw him like a baseball, "WAIT WAIT WAIT BOFT DON'T- AHHHHHH!" Carl collides with the head of the shadowy soldier, who disappears into a fine mist. That seemed to get the attention of plenty more soldiers because within a few seconds ten of them had descended upon the trio. Carl pulls a rather pointy stick from seemingly nowhere and wields it like a spear. Todd gets into a fighting stance. Boft cracks his knuckles and stands there menacingly.
Five minutes later and a small army had gathered to fight the trio. And they weren't slowing down. With each punch, stab, swipe, a shadow man went down. But three more took their place. Boft begins charging through them like a bull, leaving tens of shadowy beings in the dust! Carl had started making shadow creature kebabs! And Todd felt like one of the Super Majin Bros. jumping from head to head, tearing at their faces. The first to go down is Todd, completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of monsters that had swarmed him. Then Carl, who had stabbed a little too vigorously, lost balanced and tripped. Now all of the slack Boft's two companions had been picking up were now coming straight at him! It took who knows how many to grab on and pull the titan of an Eggman down. Everything seemed hopeless. Were the trio really gone? But the layer of shadow soldiers that covered Boft began to tremble. And a faint yolky yellow glow could be seen underneath all that darkness. Suddenly, a magnificent beam of yellow light engulfs these shadow creatures! By the time the smoke had cleared, Boft was already on his feet and moving again! He barrels through the fodder and grabs Todd and Carl, who was looking a little more than roughed up. With a running start, Boft uses all of his strength to leap high into the air, the shockwave of his kickoff throwing the shadow soldiers back and away from the gang.
A moment later, and the ceiling of the throne room is busted through, leaving an egg-shaped hole. Boft stands tall, looking around at everyone with his constantly blank, soulless stare. He cradles his two friends in his armpits. While the demon man was yelling something about his sister, he walks over to Kaal and stands beside his new friend. The titan of a man looks down at everyone else with his unblinking stare, making it clear that anyone that fights Kaal will also be dealing with him.

"To anyone nearing the planet of Konats, stay the fuck out."
Freige blinked, inwardly startled at the sudden mental message. A cursory glance around at his crew confirmed his immediate suspicions - it was not a targeted broadcast. His lips curled downward, mind quickly thinking up the menagerie of scenarios that could be unfolding to warrant such a message. It was obviously a warning, but of what kind? Meant to dissuade unfortunate souls from meeting a gruesome end, or a threat that was soon to be followed by heinous action? "I don't like this." The Arcosian mumbled, standing from his seat and briskly walking to the main bridge. "Status on any ships regarding Konats? Both arrivals and departures, check to see if they are highly irregular with averages."
He sighed, folding his arms together and staring out the open plasma-shielded window into space, the sight of Konats a mere dusty blot in the distance from where they were. Was it really his place to be intervening in a potential hostile takeover or major skirmish? He'd made plans to meet with and attempt to establish friendly relations every major planet's ruler, so perhaps this could simply be a way to expedite the process. "Nevermind on the calculations. Set course for Konats effective immediately." His voice didn't betray his own unease at the situation, his crew silently following the order, a slight shudder wracking the craft as it picked up speed.
The modestly sized spacecraft roared through the atmosphere, thrusters firing on all sides as the pilots expertly brought it as close as possible to the ground without crashing, the vessel swinging up at the last moment and blasting a large amount of dust into the air as the white-hot engines roared. Any misplaced dirt was immediately forgotten upon the sight of what looked to be a literal apocalypse. A shroud of inky blackness had taken hold of the planet's capital, a swarm of otherworldly beings skittering about. The Konatsians themselves seem rather unharmed, but that was the single hay in a stack of needles. Freige's expression turned sour, making for the ramp. "Lower it. I'm going to end whatever is causing this whole mess. Keep the comms on, they seem to be working, and I'd rather have a suitable escape if I can help it."
Arondite hissed to life, the uneven cyan blade humming as its' wielder gripped the technomagical sword with great purpose and a hint of rage. As with the yet-to-be-known egge before him, a few of the shadows attempted to stop the openly hostile Arcosian in his tracks... only for them to fail in a spectacular fashion. Attacks deflected cleanly off his outer-layer of bio armor, Arondite humming a murderous melody as the weapon cleaved relentlessly through the horde of futile defenders. Their number thinned, eventually stopping all together as he marched up the steps to the waiting palace. If he wasn't immediately seen, the oppressive, icy aura that the Arcosian was emitting could certainly be felt by those nearby.
"Greetings." He said calmly, eyes flicking between all those present. "I came to investigate whatever mess seemed to be occurring on Konats. There seems to be a magical shroud surrounding this place. I'd advise whoever it put it there to remove it with all due haste." Arondite's tip phased into the ground as Friege planted the weapon in place, adopting a neutral stance but making it very well clear that he wasn't asking kindly. He didn't recognize those present, and having missed the dialogue exchanged beforehand, currently had no idea who was who and what was what. It took only a moment for him to sense the power of all else present, and as it stood none held a candle to him. That could change if a Super Saiyan or their equal were to show up, but Freige would assume that somebody with that power would've either solved this standoff... one way or another.

“You fucking idiot!” Anny and Leech had kept up their fighting in the pod. They had been chased off course by a bunch of Galactic Patrolmen. The two tussled with the controls as the pods flew through the air. They were heading right towards the planet Konats. Anny kicked her brother in the face grabbing the control. “Yes, I got it.” She’d got ready to land the pod but Leech began to tickle her under her armpits. “BAHAHAHAHA S.Stop it!” Anny was unable to get her brother to stop so she had to let go. The pod spun mid-air. Neither of them saw the shadows that were covering the city and their pod passed right through barreling through without much effort. The pod kept flying, eventually slamming into the roof of the castle and blasting right through. The pod crashed at the end of the throne room smoke and fire bursting from the metal husk.
Then the door opened up Leech being sent flying out and crashing to the floor. “Tch we ain’t done yet. I am gonna kill you, sis.” Leech ignored everyone around him. He was too focused on fighting his sis. They had been fighting for twelve hours straight and he was going to finish this now that he was on the ground. In terms of hand to hand combat, he was stronger! Anny pulled herself out of the pod and looked around. She sensed how many powers they were and it seemed they just dropped into the middle of something. “Hey Leech we can fight later it seems we dropped in..” Of course, Leech was not listening and ran up sucker punching Anny in the jaw while she was talking. “OW! What the fuck!” Anny grabbed her face as Leech grinned. “This is it prepare to..” Before he could finish Anny raised his leg kicking Leech where the sun didn't shine Leech’s eyes near shot out of his head as he collapsed his hand grasping below. “AHHHH!”
Anny spat a glob of blood out of her mouth onto the castle floor. Then she finally looked at everyone here. First was Ikra who seemed to be bowing to some prince. Guess that was Riis or whatever. Then there was another demon that looked like Ikra but didn’t seem too happy either. She was a bit annoyed that he was not the guy version of Ikra though. She had assumed good looks ran through Ikra’s blood. Not that he looked bad but not how she expected someone of the same bloodline it seemed like to look. There was a creepy-looking alien dude as well who seemed to be telling everyone to stop whatever the hell this was. There was also that Egg dude with his buddies including the other strong one who Leech somehow knew. Anny took in a deep breath, she needed to kill his little shit friend. Then there was also an Aroscian knight looking fellow. He had a cool sword and he was the strongest one here it seemed like. Was this an invasion of Konats? Or maybe Namek 2.0. “Ok, can someone explain what…”
As she tried to speak Leech grabbed her by the legs and slammed her down. “HAH. I’ve taken a lot of blows down under that won’t be enough to stop me!” Leech declared as he looked around. “OH, there are a lot of people here. That means a lot of fighters.” Leech looked at Ikra. “Oh hello….” Leech nearly drooled out of his mouth but kept it cool. If he did that she’d think he was super lame now. “So I am gonna ask what my sister was gonna ask. What are you all doing? It seems we landed at a cool party. But just so everyone knows. I am the coolest and strongest guy in this room. No biggie just thinks that it is really important to note. You know just so if any elf ladies are around here and listening to come around and say hi.” As he finished Anny leg shot up kicking her brother in the jaw. “GAH!” Leech yelled out by quickly backed up. Anny got to her feet. “Yah that what I was gonna ask and no he is not the strongest here. I can sense ki so it is that guy.” She’d point at Freige. She’d looked at Ikra and Riis. “So your Ikra’s man?” She said to Riis. “I’d thought you were taller and well there are a lot of things I expected.” She wouldn’t say it but she was disappointed. “Anyway what are you doing Ikra? This you or is someone trying to do something bad to you. If the later were here to help if the former. Tell me why.” Leech grabbed her sister by the cheek. “We ain’t done fighting!” Anny grabbed her brother. “Yes, we have now you need to shut the fuck up cause I was talking." Leech's eye twitched. "You don't tell me what to do you, dumb bitch!" The two then began to bicker throwing every curse word in the book at eachother and completely ignoring everyone else for the time being.
Leech and Anny crashed the party...opps

Post by Golgari #067-B on Feb 24, 2020 5:25:16 GMT -6
All of a sudden the hall was crowded with a greater collection of eclectic characters than Golgari could really claim to have seen before, and he debated the wisdom of telling people to stay out. But that could wait for later. He could feel his brothers and sisters nearing, and once they arrived they could make sure nothing got out of hand. No one would be stupid enough to go up against a couple of thousand experiments made for biological superiority, after all. But until then, he needed to pay attention towards what was being said, standing there with his arms crossed silently, leather jacket rustling in the wind that came from the open door. He listened as Kaal and Riis talked, then as Babyl roared angrily towards the princeling. That was enough to prompt the Lunarian to extend a tendril from one of his wings to rest lightly upon the large man's shoulder. 'Easy mate. We ain't trying for anything just yet.' His voice rings out inside Babyl's head, antennae twitching whilst his mouth stays closed. A small chuckle leaves him at the scene of him being the calming one. Damn, shit really could go down hill quickly.
Then again, it was hard to be calm when he heard Riis speak. 'You idiot, that's the issue.' He begins, directing his telepathy to everyone but Ikra. She... didn't need to hear him calling the target of her obsession an idiot. 'She's more than your most loyal follower. Actually, hell, if you somehow didn't notice the fact that she's obsessed with you then maybe she has a point and you shouldn't rule. Typha's missing an eye and he'd be able to see that.' On the subject of Typha... Golgari turns towards where one of the newcomers was, a scowl upon his face as he looked towards the red headed man. 'As for you, shut up. Nobody gives a fuck about what you think, you're not native to Konats and insulting Typha isn't the way to go about making friends here.' Green and black eyes meet Fortuna's for a moment, before sliding over towards where the other aliens were. The... weird looking man with the egg head seemed to know Kaal, and the very sight of him was enough to persuade Golgari to just keep moving. There was a duo of aliens currently in the middle of a shouting match, which earned a mental 'Go outside if you're going to fight' from him, before he came to the last alien, the one with the magical looking sword.
'Who the hell are you?' He starts tilting his head towards Friege. He didn't much appreciate the veiled threat in the man's words, even if they were technically on the same side. Ikra was Golgari's friend, and as far as he was aware there were no... rabbit lizard people on Konats. That and he practically said he wasn't Konatsian. 'Look mate, I don't know where you're from but this isn't any of your business, so don't butt into our politics. And especially don't threaten my friends. So get back on your ship and just get going. This doesn't concern you.'

While Ikra waited to be praised by Riis for her keen perception of his plans, more people burst through the doors to the throne room. Really now. Ikra felt at though Golgari’s warning to stay away only invited people in. Fortunately, the person who entered was not an unwelcome sight. It was Kaal! Her little knight! She was a touch surprised that he had returned so soon from his ventures out to Brench. Thankfully, he had the good sense to greet Lord Riis before addressing her. She definitely approved of his etiquette. As he turned to address her, her smile melted into a perplexed expression. She thought it a little proud of him to assume that his thoughts were on the same level as Riis’s own, and was even more confused any perturbed by the mention of dire consequences. Why, she was only doing the bidding of her lord.
“I’m not sure what you mean, Kaal,” she said to him softly, “I’m only-“
Before she could get much further, Riis spoke. She gave all of her attention to him immediately, of course, not wanting to miss a single syllable. But as he began to speak, her heart sank.
“M-Missed a step…?” She echoed, unable to hide her uncertainty. “I…”
Before Ikra could get much further than that, Babyl - of all people - burst into the room and screamed at Riis. The hostility in his tone was clear, which was enough for Ikra to rise up and stand protectively in front of Riis. She didn’t think Babyl would do anything as foolish as to strike her beloved Riis, but she wasn’t taking the chance that he might. She wasn’t sure if she could forgive him if he did. She thought to correct him about the situation, but before she could, Riis continued, turning back to her after addressing Babyl. Her ears drooped as he continued speaking, the slow realization that she might have gone against Riis’s wishes dawning on her.
“O-Oh…”
As Ikra was processing this horrid truth, someone else arrived. She recognized the man. Flip Fortuna. She didn’t like his tone. She liked his implication even less. Ordinarily, she might have called him out or even attacked him for such audacity toward Prince Riis, but with her heart in the state of turmoil that it was, it was the most she could do to register some faint irritation that was quickly overshadowed by a feeling of immense regret and dread. Another person crashed through the ceiling and stood beside Kaal. He looked strange. Yet another stranger arrived soon after. Ikra recognized them as an Arcosian but knew not what had drawn them here. He was behaving vaguely hostile, which did rouse Ikra a little from her haze of regret and misery.
He did make a point. The aura of shadows was no longer necessary. No, it was never necessary. She was just a foolish servant who had hurt her lord’s claim. Ikra waved her hand despondently and the sphere of darkness shrunk. The shadow soldiers, when exposed to light, burst like balloons filled with air. The sphere of darkness shrunk and shrunk until it reached the throne room where Ikra stopped it and maintained it. She didn’t feel comfortable dispelling it completely with so many strangers present. She needed to be able to protect Riis if the need arose.
“There. I removed it from the city,” Ikra said softly, her voice filled with both suspicion and regret. She considered what else she might say when two very familiar faces crashed through the doors. Leech and Anny? In typical fashion, they fought amongst themselves. In a way, Ikra was grateful to have so many of her friends and companions by her side. On the other hand, she also sort of wanted to go melt away in a corner and die quietly and out of sight. Golgari walked around the room, presumably telepathically talking to people. She was a touch annoyed by the fact that she could never eavesdrop on his conversations, but she could infer a little just by who he was looking at and the expression on his face. When he turned to the outsider Arcosian, she supposed that he was trying to handle that situation. Turning a lowered head to Riis, Ikra whispered to him quietly.
“My lord, I beg you. Punish me later, but allow me to protect you until these strangers are dealt with.”
The shadows have retreated to the throne room, but have not entirely dissipated.

Taking a short, sharp breath in order to recollect himself and his bearings, Kaal had indeed been overwhelmed with the ever increasing number of people within the palaces throne room. He wasn't even aware this many people were allowed in here that weren't at all directly related to Ikra or Riis, but then again, Kaal could see an argument being made for the majority of people being here having a reason to be present. Some of these appearances being made were indeed quite a shock to him, though, with the first of many that took ahold of his attention immediately being that of- Ikras sibling? His head snapped backward to the sound of Babyls booming roar of a yell, his massive height enabling him to loom over even Kaal himself (and not to toot his own horn, but, he was indeed decently tall). Looking up into his enraged features, the Vangardian attempted to try and calm him a bit, saying in a reassuring tone as he raised both hands up in mock defense, "You're Ikras brother? Then I can see exactly why you're so livid. Your sister was put into danger, and it doesn't matter who or what had caused such risk, you're on the path to ensuring your siblings safety. However, needless rage is not going to make this already tense situation any better. I may be speaking out of turn, perhaps, but we both seemingly want Ikras safety assured, and so I hope that you'll come to your senses and see that pointing the accusatory finger at Riis will only make things worse." He was about to turn back around when he remembered something else he needed to say, and he turned his head to face Babyl once more as he said, "I apologize, I ask so much of you yet you don't even know my name. I am Kaal, a friend of your sister. It is an honor to meet you, though, a shame we couldn't have done so under more, comfortable, conditions."
As his gaze attempted to refocus onto both Ikra and Riis once more, his hunch that this was something about Ikra attempting to prove her royal worth indeed coming to fruition with Riis' words, Kaals attention was then drawn to an approaching power signature- one that he was all too familiar with. A small grin crept onto his face as he turned this time to his right, just in time to see from the ceiling fall a certain egg-headed friend of his, in his arms the two other beings who had normally found themselves in his company. Boft had seemingly taken his advice and went on after Gemini B to visit Konats. It was nice to have someone else besides Ikra or Golgari, especially someone like Boft, to have as a friend. As he walked silently on over to stand next to himself, Kaal clapped a hand on the aliens shoulder, saying in a more lighthearted tone, "I'm quite glad you did decide upon taking my advice, Boft. It is indeed a pleasure to have another familiar face around here. Though, I'm not exactly sure if the time is quite suited for the other two as it is for you-" His remark mostly pointing toward the seemingly unconscious Todd and Carl within his grasp. While they were, interesting, Kaal wasn't exactly sure if this atmosphere suited their, again, interesting, personalities. Boft felt right at home to Kaal since, well, he was silent as well as strong enough to handle any trouble that they would have if something were to go awry. The other two? Eh, icing on the cake, was that the saying? Two people though who, shortly after their own entries into the throne room, made Kaal feel a bit more uneasy, were both the Arcosian (who he recognized as one barely, as his knowledge on other alien races remaining relatively infantile compared to others) and then the strange, more humanoid looking being with the cane. The man with the cane's words made a shiver go down Kaals spine- this man was of corrupt nature, manipulative nature, something that he had no good history with. He remained calm yet critically faced though, listening intently just in case there was anything of actual value to actually take from his bluster. The only thing being that there was another prince whom he had not accounted for- someone named, Typha, was it? Ponderings for later. The Arcosian didn't give off as bad of a vibe as the Fortuna Syndicate Kingpin did, but the fact that he thought of himself as important enough to barge in on royal issues with the Konatsian people did irk him slightly. He opened his mouth to speak to the frost demon when all the sudden Golgaris voice rang throughout his head. It seemed he would be the one to speak what he himself was thinking, and so he could save his breath for later things. Besides, Kaal knew his opinion wouldn't exactly be treated as gospel, knowing he was only truly closely known by Ikra, Golgari, and Boft- only one of them holding any real weight to the situation at hand currently. So he didn't mind being more silent, as he wouldn't be able to say the things Golgari was spouting off about any better himself.
Seeing Ikra become deflated and more guilty as the moments went on did hurt him slightly, with her requesting swift punishment by Riis enabling a twitch of irritation visible on his face. He instinctively raised a hand to the tremor, attempting to keep it under wraps to maintain a cooled, calm composure. Outbursts of compassion was not the thing to call upon at the moment, especially when the tension only rose with the entrance of- my god, was that Leech and Anny again behind him? Was this some sort of joke? This was the third time he had come across the two siblings, all of which were by utter chance. He began to wonder if they were some sort of curse set upon him, yes, that would make sense, wouldn't it?
After finding a moment of solice within the amusement of their repeated meetings, Kaal then turned to face both the Arcosian and then the red haired man, saying in an authoritative tone, "Both of you are overreaching your boundaries here. You, the one with the cane, are clearly attempting to instigate this situation to something quite worse, and I can assure you with I present that will not be happening. And then to you, Arcosian- now that Ikra has removed the magical disturbance around the majority of the planet, you have no reason for continued involvement. You may take your leave, now, there is no need for further, 'assistance'."
While like any other warrior, he loved a good brawl, Kaal hoped that this whole debacle could be ended swiftly and nonviolently- as it currently stands that the Arcosian had the greatest potential power increase over every single being present, what with their race and the transformations he had learned about after some light research. Even with Boft present, he wasn't so sure he would be able to ensure Ikras, or anyone else's safety for that matter, against such a potential threat.
