Catus and Simi looked curiously at the weird boards that had been brought out, even as their mind began trawling through the crop corp databanks for information upon the subject. Quickly identifying the game, Simi claps happily and bounces in excitement. "Oh! Oh! I remember the scientists playing this sometimes!" He cheers, darting over to one of the sets and picking up one of the Knights, looking at it from all directions before putting it down and repeating the gesture with each other piece on the board. Meanwhile, Catuus was distracted by people talking about FREE ICECREAM! Darting over, engines roaring, the plexbit spun around the heads of the clandestinely dressed men. She had never tasted ice cream before! This was going to be SO AWES- "Wait." She stops, settling down on the cart for a moment as she tilts her head. "I can't eat real food. Dad hasn't given us the ability yet. Aww... Dang it." A tiny leg kicks the metal of the cart, its frame denting and bucking slightly beneath the pressure of the hydraulics within her limbs before Catus hops off dejectedly and waddles back over towards where Litho was looking up at Belle, beak going to pick up her sister and drag her over towards where their brother was.
Litho, for her part, had looked up in surprise at Belle addressing her, and not only that, mentioning their father. A slight, hesitant nod that required half of her body came from her. "Y-yes. President Carro is our creator." She responds quietly, even as Catus picks her up from where she was pressed against the ground. Squirming futilely in her sister's grip, trying to escape, Litho looks up towards Belle as she was carted away. "You know him too?" Such a response was enough to make Catus look up at Belle in surprise. it was rare for their sister to say more than one sentence, let alone three. "Oh wow hi! Hi! I'm Catus! This is Litho!" Her voice modulator calls out past the mechanical centipede in her beak, flapping her wings as a hello. Their dad had so many friends! It was awesome!!

Belle nodded after she watched Whisker get back up and clean himself. “Space chess is fun! I used to play it with… a grown-up. He was really good at it, but I was better. I beat him! But… um… it’s kind of a thinky game.” She wasn’t really sure if it was something that the others would think was fun. She didn’t want them to think that she was boring either, so she regretted suggesting it just a little bit. Before she could try suggesting something else, an alligator Zoan and a wolf Zoan both walked up to them offering something called ice cream. She had never had it before but… something about their auras told Belle that these two were up to no good.
Belle frowned at them, her tail bristling aggressively. As she was considering how to deal with them, Yanwang spoke up and refused them, asking all of them if they’d like anything to eat. Mm. She wasn’t sure if that was going to be enough to stop the zoans, but she took the chess board and smiled uncertainly.
“Um… I’ll look over the rules…! B-But it’s okay… thank you, Yanwang,” Belle smiled softly at the little ogre before glancing at the little rule book that came with the board. A quick skim told her that it was like a much simpler version of space chess. Feeling a little more confident, she glanced at the others. “I’ll teach anyone who wants to play!”
As she left the offer hanging there, Belle glanced down at the little plexbit who had answered her. So Mister Carro had made them too! She nodded to Litho and smiled in a way she thought was reassuring. “Y-Yes! He’s… he’s taking care of me right now. O-Oh, nice to meet you both…” Belle was a little taken aback by Catus’s enthusiastic response, but did her best to return the energy. “I’m Belle!”
In her enthusiasm, she had all but forgotten about the two Zoans with their strange auras. She kept her senses trained on them despite being distracted, ready to blast them away with a telekinetic burst if they didn’t take no for an answer. She just wanted to play with... some new friends. She didn’t want to deal with more bad people.

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
Whisker felt... uneasy about the two adult Zoans that approached them. He had heard many tales from his old master about sneaky adults who would entice children with offers of candy or toys and then steal them away, never to be seen again... Was this one of those times? What if they were just being nice? He wasn't sure exactly what their deal was, but he wasn't happy about it. The little kitten puffed out his cheeks and ignored the two adults, still keeping an eye on them in case they decided to try something. Though he was pretty sure with Zira nearby, there was no need to worry, that didn't mean he was gonna give them any kind of chance. Instead, he waddled over to Belle and the chess board. "C-can you teach me how to play? I would love to learn something new!" He said, definitely interested in learning, but still very wary of their guests. When he did finally turn to the two adults, he politely refused their offer. "No thanks, I don't think we're very hungry right now. We appreciate the offer, but we're trying to play right now." Whisker was mature for his age, to be certain, but internally he wanted nothing more than to shoo away the two adults so that he and his new friends could play in peace. They were strangers offering free food to children and didn't seem to notice there was an adult around, so they seemed at least to want to take advantage of that fact. Whisker didn't trust them, but he couldn't do much without an inciting incident because he didn't wanna cause any trouble. He did, however, wanna test his skills against a real person, though he would never admit so out loud. Perhaps one day, he would actually get to train with someone! For now, though, he remained resolute with one eye on the two strangers at all times.

As Zriracha approached the ground, she could hear the similar responses each all shared as the two Zoans approached and offered their little distraction. She was surprised to hear that Yanwang had even offered a better solution from his magical bag of trinkets. With a mental note to thank him later, the Satyr sauntered right up to the ground in all of her furry legged glory and towered over the two average-heighted Zoans as they finally decided to take note of her. And what a note it was; she took great pleasure in the fearful gazes as they took in her inhuman form as she crossed her arms. “I believe these younglings have made it clear that they're not interested in the gifts of strangers,” She narrowed her eyes, making it clear she was in no mood to deal with their excuses but the black fire that would ignited around her hand – raising it to threaten the two, “Begone with you, lest I melt more than your ‘ice cream’ for your unwanted approach!” She commanded firmly, keeping her voice even so as not to scare the children as they played. The Zoan men looked to each other and then to the kids as a few seemed to keep their attention on the festivities but also being wary of the men. Yeah, they weren’t going to score today. “U-Uh, no problem-! We’ll come back… another day! Have a great day, kids!” The alligator-zoan quickly amended, grabbing their partner as they took hold of their fake little ice cream roller before rushing off faster than Zriracha could recall she’s ever seen a mortal run. Cocking her head to the side, she mumbled, “My, they’re fast…” With the danger avoided, not that the kids were in much aside from being uncomfortable, the Satyr turned back to the group with a smile, “My apologies if I frightened any of you; I tend to spend my time at this park as well and… if you will pardon my appearance, I am merely a very protective old goat.” Her tail twitched with amusement as she chuckled. “I’ll just-,” She glanced over at a vacant bench, backing away from them to show she did not mean any harm. “-Be over there.” She knew Yanwang and Whisker, but… the rest. They could very well have been frightened of her appearance. Yanwang

Yanwang smiled as it seems the adult was dealt with. They clearly got the message. Everyone seemed to not want any ice cream from them and Zriracha compounded that by scaring them. Though he was unsure if that was needed. "Might of been a bit overboard Zriracha." Yanwang grinned. "But it does not matter. let's get playing some games." Yanwang looked at the others. The chessboard seemed to not be the exact thing but guess it would work. "No problem." Yanwang smiled. She even seemed to be fine with it and was willing to teach others how to play. He already knew a bit about chess so he didn't feel the need to ask how to play. Yanwang liked watching how everyone was talking to each other. Yanwang looked at Zriracha as she seemed to want to leave though. She moved away from everyone else. Yanwang went to grab her hand. "I don't think anyone is scared of you. Feel free to stay with us." Yanwang smiled. "Plus if you were really so scary why would we stay here. It is not like we had no idea you were here. Come on and join us." Yanwang didn't wanna make the demon feel left out. He was sure no one would mind if she was around.

My B i totally thought it had only been like 2 days "H-hello Belle." Came the quiet reply from Litho, even as the centipede plexbit looked towards her brother and sister as they zoomed around oh so energetically. "D-do not mind them... they are... always loud." A part of her suspected that some of the energy meant for her had simply been diverted towards to two, although that was most likely just because between the three of them she was simply made to be the most stationary in and out of a combat situation. Even though the idea of combat was... scary. Litho was glad that the scary zoans were quickly told to leave, as while her far more hyperactive siblings were certainly too busy to notice anything shifty about them, she herself had quickly been roaming through Crop Co.'s data banks and sent images of the duo to the nearest police station. If they were known criminals, they would soon be apprehended by the proper authorities. Of course, no one would really know that, and she wasn't feeling very open to sharing... it would be okay, right? No one would be mad at her for trying to help? She really hoped that it wouldn't end up being a problem, but she had been told to inform the police during situations like that...
As Whisker approached Belle and the plexbit, the other two were having more fun simply looking at all the pretty little pieces that Yanwang had brought out. Or, well, Simi was. Catus had quickly noticed the way the old goat lady had told off those icecream sellers and, not thinking anything more of it, had quickly flared her engines and ade her way over. "That was so cool!" She cheers, flapping around Zriracha's head at an almost dizzying rate before attempting to land in the demon's red hair. "You were all like-" Her voice changes to a perfect replica of Zriracha's from earlier, "Begone with you!" Her voice rings out, before then switches back to normal. "And then they were like 'Aaah no pleaaase' and they totally ran off! Wait I thought grown ups were supposed to be super brave? Oh! Maybe they were worried about the ice cream? Hey what are you? You look like a Zoan but the readings i'm getting say you're something else but maybe you're just a weird zoan-" She would continue to blather until someone decides to shut her up, asking question after question.
Simi, for his part, ha finished examining each piece individually and sat down at one of the boards, both hands up in the air. "Hey! Hey! I wanna play with someone!" He calls out, a big grin on his face as his tail wags. His internal computer was already beginning to analyse each possible outcome, and he was looking forward to playing with one of these many interesting characters! Oh! He could versus the kid with the super cool horns!

Belle was on the verge of following up with her earlier thought of psychically ejecting the two zoans from the park when a nice goat lady that had been watching them stepped in for them. The two zoans seemed to lose whatever spark that they had left in them and scurried away. Belle was tempted to chuck something at them like a rock, but she let it go. That would just be excessive and mean. Belle smiled at the goat lady and tilted her head at her.
“Do you want to play with us, miss…” Belle glanced over to Yanwang who seemed to know the woman, only solidifying the idea that Miss Zriracha was a good person, “Miss Zriracha? A-And! Don’t worry about scaring me! You’re not scary at all.” Belle could say that with confidence. She had met real monsters. Probably too many of them. Sitting down in front of Whisker, she quickly set up the board and gestured for Whisker to sit down.
“Okay, so these are your pieces…” Belle ran through a basic explanation about each of the pieces and how they move across the board as well as their point value as pieces - which ones were more valuable. She hoped that it was an okay explanation. She didn’t want to get too into detail, such as with common strategies, but she wanted to give him enough so he knew how to play. After a minute or two, she stopped and smiled nervously at him. “D-Do you get it?”

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
Whisker smiled as two Zoans fled the scene, but looked at Zira curiously. Did... she always have hooves and hair all over? For that matter, did she always have horns? It had been a while since he saw her last, but his memory couldn't be that fuzzy! He continued studying her and smiled, realizing that no matter what she looked like, she was still Zira, even if her real name was Zriracha! "Thanks Miss Zira! I'm really glad you were here! You should come play with us!" Whisker giggled as he sat in front of Belle and listened to her explanation. It was a lot to remember, and trying to get everything straight made his head hurt! "Um... so this one does that?" Whisker said hesitantly, mimicking the motion Belle had shown him before. "And if you land on the same space as your opponent's piece, you take it? That's sounds fun! You wanna give it a try? I probably won't be very good... but I'll try my best anyway!" Whisker gave a huge thumbs up and a grin as wide as his head. He was making so many new friends and even learning new games! This was the most excited he had been since coming to Earth! It was so rare that he got to play with kids his own age, and even more rare that they taught him something new! Not to mention, he had only ever played Konatsian games in the past, so all of these rules and pieces really had him thinking of what to do. He was a strategist, and not exactly a dumb Hakaijin, but he certainly wasn't a genius. Perhaps Belle would take it easy on him because it was his first time? He sort of wanted her to... but at the same time, what's the point if you're not giving it your all?!

Zriracha was prepared to allow the rest of the children to play in peace, certain that after her little display none would dare to approach the well-protected group. However, it was the collective reception of positive responses that emboldened the Satyr to remain, even going so far to laugh endearingly at the little plexbit bird that made it’s nest in her hair. Their questions were intriguing and plentiful but it wasn’t anything she had a problem answering, “Heheh, thank you – you’re very kind. And… only if you all are quite comfortable with it.” She settled down next to the young girl, observing their game for a moment before she looked at Belle and shook her head gently, “Thank you, but I content to merely watch. I fear I would be no match for you both,” She retorted playfully. To the little bird, Zriracha would briefly explain, “I am… a little bit like the Zoanthropes of this planet, but I hail from the Realm of Demons; a rather frightening place with many more like me.” She held her hands up, making them look like gnarled little hands, “Very scary ones are even stronger than me and play nasty tricks on people!” When she felt like she’d frightened them enough, she would contentedly look between them, her short little tail twitching excitedly as she felt humbled by the group.
