Polarus was not one to back away from a challenge- in fact, he relished every opportunity he could find to learn something new about the wide universe he was to roam in search of his vengeance. But, it seemed that the topic of magic specifically made him feel quite idiotic. Such a field was an area wherein the normally knowledgeable Arcosian found himself completely confounded, what with the thousands of magical languages and technical know-how behind the makings of the entirety of the craft, and that's not even including the possibility of items being thrown into the mix. Magic itself was a very fluid concept, and fluid concepts weren't exactly something of which Polarus had a strong grip on. Just merely looking at what seemed to be a simple comprehensive text for Zriracha gave the Arcosian a headache. So many runes awkwardly placed, strangely written, weirdly positioned on the pages managed to make his mind go for a spin. Even the step by step pictures only helped to confuse him even further! He couldn't even tell where he was supposed to start with those, as the numbers were seemingly also hidden within the language of the runes! Chuckling to himself at the absurdity of it, Polarus leaned backward into his seat, sighing.
"You'll have to forgive me for my inherent ignorance, Zriracha," Polarus muttered as he wiped a hand over his face mask for a moment. "While I'm normally quite knowledgeable, magic is simply something I cannot even begin to perceive an understanding toward. It seems you, however, are quite different- you seem quite skilled within this area. In fact, I'm quite impressed, if I am to be honest- and normally I am quite reluctant in admitting such a fact with most. Be proud."
His gaze watched the book curiously as it began to sail its way back to its home, his ears still trained on the sound of Zriracha's voice however as she began to get onto the topic of the matter of ages within the Demon race. While she seemed to feel the opposite, the Arcosian found her rambling, oddly relaxing. It was akin to when you chose to listen to the audiobook of a story instead of actually reading the physical copy of the tale. It was a nice little distraction, and so when she began to apologize once more he waved such an apology away quite quickly, saying in a contrary tone, "There is no need to apologize, Zriracha- in fact, I find your prattling quite endearing. Strangely relaxing, if that is the correct word for it. It also helps that the topics you normally go on and on about are of great interest- Maple, was that one demons name? Perhaps I'll do some research myself into the Demon race one day, if you're anything to go off of, they seem not to be the horrible hellbent monsters many look to them as. In fact, your company is preferable to that of many other people from races who have better reputations than yours, so that must be something to show for it, yes?"
"As for complications, I must be a bit duller in the mind than I do believe, because it seems to me that there have been little to no complications caused since your "revelation" of not being human. In fact, you being so pleasantly open has only helped to further my good opinion of you. So, there is no need to be so critical of yourself- there's simply, objectively, no need to be." He truly did enjoy the company of a more civilized and proper mind in the form of Zriracha, so she would be someone he would not at all mind getting to know better in the future. Polarus hoped Lao wouldn't get too jealous. Once the demonness inquired whether or not she still had a purpose to work under him for, Polarus shook his head, saying, "No, no- you wouldn't be working under me. Someone of your use and value, would be wasted doing anything considered grunt work by simply working for me. W-well, perhaps that isn't the right way of putting it.."
Thinking for a moment, he then continued, "It would be of great appreciation if you were to simply, find me once in a while to simply talk, and perhaps show me a thing or two of magic? It gets lonely traversing the planet in search of, what I had came here for, and so it would be nice to have someone to do away the boredom with from time to time. I say once in a while since I assume you also have your own plans to set out to doing, so I wish not to clutter your schedule too much. I mean, I already have someone else traveling with me, but they also leave occasionally to do things by their lonesome, leaving me mostly alone and quite bored."
"O-of course you need not accept if you do not wish to, it's just that I would feel bad for have leading you on about a possible job opportunity and then ripping it away from you. You'd of course be compensated for such a thing as well, if that is what you were interested in.."
The Arcosian royal seemed oddly flustered. Admitting weakness in any area was a hard thing for him to do, so the admittance of loneliness to someone he barely knew but took a quick liking to was still very hard to do.
Though, sometimes the man who had everything wanted only the simplest of things.
Things that sometimes those considered less fortunate could provide.

Whether it was the polite range of which he spoke to her or the… manner of admonishment he gave so that she wouldn’t be so hard on herself, Zriracha felt an odd heat raise to her face as he made it clear that she was much more than she gave herself credit for. That he would compliment her ramblings, take pride in her ability to do magic AND make it respectfully clear that it wasn’t under that she would work… But as equals. The Satyr swallowed her own flustered feelings way, giving a short smile and shaking her head. As Polarus went on about explaining how they might work together, even if it did sound more like friends meeting up for a chat, Zriracha would gently place a hand on the outside of his arm, a polite gesture to express that she wanted him to slow down. “I’d be honored to accompany you from time to time. While I can’t promise that I can teach you magic, such things are not quite within my capabilities, I’d be elated to show you what kind of magic I can do,” She chuckled, bringing her hand from his arm and up to her chin in thought, “We’ll make a show of it!” As her laughter died down, Zriracha’s tone would shift into one of wistful relief, though she was still quite shaken by the events of the day, “Polarus…” She started, “Thank you for today. For your understanding and,” She scoffed, “-Your kind words. Since coming together today, you learned a lot about me and… even paid for the refreshments but we didn’t get a chance to really spend time with each other aside from these tense moments. If you’re willing, we could go back out there and try again or, perhaps try again at a later date somewhere a little more personal.” She’d been wanting to ask about it, ever since her visit to Flip Fortuna’s gambling station, but wasn’t sure when the most appropriate time would be. Now, with their moment had, Zriracha felt a little braver to present that question, “I do admit that I’ve been a little interested in your spacecraft. Very little have I visited the vastness of space and you seemed to have plenty of room from the size of it.” Her wry grin spoke of a keen interest. Polarus

Honored? The Arcosian forced himself to stifle the rising pleased feelings growing within his throat, now was not the time to let your ego get too scratched being the thought process behind the action. He'd rather not have Zrirachas good opinion of him be sullied by the showing of his hubris. Instead, he chose to refocus on Zrirachas words intently to draw his attention away from his own shortcomings, chuckling along with her at the proposal of making a whole performance out of the exhibition of her magical ability. In all honesty, it has been quite long since he has ever witnessed anything along the lines of such entertainment, the normally busy bodied male not one to take such breaks very often, so the idea of it was indeed an interesting one to say the least. Then again, perhaps it was simply the prospect of seeing Zriracha again that was the intriguing part of it, but he himself wasn't exactly sure. All he knew was that it was nice to have someone other than Lao to talk to. To reiterate, no offense to Lao, but, he wasn't exactly the smartest of individuals, and having Zriracha be the form of mental stimulation he needed was indeed quite a joy.
He loved the guy, really- but, sometimes there were advantages to branching out.
Once the tone returned to that of a more formal one, laughter dying down and attitudes returning to a more calmed composure, Polarus listened closely to what Zriracha had to say, feeling flustered once more simply acting as a decent person should was something the demonness took to heart. He thought he was simply acting how any good man would act, but, apparently it struck closer to home more than he would have thought for Zriracha. Nonetheless, the Arcosian royal was glad he was able to help in any way, even if it was in the form of the more tenser moments she pointed out.
"I would not mind at all going out to try again, in fact, I would be delighted to," Polarus said in a reassuring tone as a content look appeared on his face- though, as it was with many of his facial expressions, it was hard to tell with half of his face under the mask. "I-if you cannot tell, I am smiling underneath this facial covering." Even he, the mostly cold and calculative individual, saw the opportunity for a good joke when there was one. He was a ruler, afterall, and thus people person skills were something (albeit still not the best at) were something he did have some experience in. "I can't think of a better way to spend the rest of the afternoon, seeing as my schedule is decently open, so if it is all the same to you...?"
Anticipating their soon departure, the Arcosian slowly got up from his chair, stretching himself out a bit before offering a hand to Zriracha to help her out of hers, before moving over to the door and beginning to unwrench the protective bar lock he had on the door, his interest being perked again at the mention of his own spacecraft, his gaze returning to Zriracha, her wry grin causing the Arcosian to feel flustered once more. Her allusion to the ample amount of space within his ship leading his mind to think of the only possible reason as to why she'd inquire about it.
Managing to regain his composure quicker this time, Polarus asked Zriracha in a steady enough tone, "Would you at all be alluding to the possibility of, just the two of us, taking a travel into the outer cosmos within my ship? Not that I would be, opposed, to the idea.."
He hoped she understood, or at least would soon enough come to understand what she would be leading herself into here. The two of them, alone, within a confined space, for what could be weeks upon weeks on end throughout the stars, no telling exactly when the next time they'd find themselves on a populated planet. The Arcosian wished to not allude to more, depraved, thoughts, when discussing such circumstances, but he felt it, inevitable.
'Ah, well,' Polarus thought to himself as he finally finished ripping off the bar securing the door in place, setting it down on the floor nearby. 'I'm sure she knew what she was doing when bringing up such a topic.'
...right?

If one weren’t paying attention, it was entirely possible to miss the brief snort that sounded from the Demon, quickly covered up with tactical clearing of her throat. Her composure still intact, Zriracha would give a nod, “As is mine; it… typically is, I just tend to find something to do every now and then.” She accepted the hand out of her seat, standing before giving a languid stretch as he made to remove the bar he’d set for their privacy. When he turned to her with the question in mind, the clarification coming off as if he were a little in disbelief, the Demon wouldn’t hesitate to confirm it. “I do.” Looking upon her, and the clear expression of half-lidded acknowledgement, it was clear she had a very clear idea as to where such things might lead… -if she had requested it was just for the two of them. “Naturally, since I can’t pilot of vessel of that size and I’d like your,” She winked at him, “-complete attention, we would of course be accompanied by any engineers or pilots that you typically employ.” For a few moments, she let this revelation sink in to the Arcosian – enjoying whatever assumptive thoughts might have resulted from her previous poor-worded request before making another addendum to their possible future trip. She walked passed Polarus, the door now free for them to exit, her voice low but taking on an amused and playful lilt, “If something happens along the way while we are in private, Polarus, that is quite acceptable to me as well. After all, our conversations might become quite private and could possibly require four walls all to ourselves.” She glanced at him over her shoulder, arms crossed, tossing a pointed wink in his direction. Under fire, under pressure, and under all sorts of constraints- Polarus normally remained stoic, calculative, and damn near confident in his ability for a perfect execution. However, this woman in particular, this, this delectably vivacious vixen, was somehow running entire circles around him, managing to lasso his feelings tightly within a secured knot. Leaving him with no reply to utter, which was quite the massive feat to manage. He was normally, as Lao would put it, Mr. Punchline. He could be described as a man who would outlive Kami himself attempting to have the last word. Someone who was not caught often with nothing more to say. But in the small amount of time it took for Zriracha to move from her seat to the door, any suave smooth comeback the Arcosian was able to boil up was immediately whisked away. Though, he wasn't completely without his bearings, as his albeit ruffled gaze did catch the slight snort and break in composure within the beginning of Zrirachas flirtatious tirade, but, it was still all the more washed away by her follow up, his eyes continuing to follow her every movement- his mind now unsure of whether he was searching for a weakpoint or instead just soaking in her every movement for the hell of it, her half lidded gaze making his stomach twist into further knots, forcing his eyes to reply with a half lidded look of their own- his red colored eyes now narrowed slightly, lazily, yet still all the more riveting.
If she were to peel off the mask on his face, Polarus was sure Zriracha would see a nicely placed blush upon his cheeks. In fact, it was the very thing keeping the demonness from knowing what she was doing to the poor man. Thankfully, as Zriracha seemingly turned it back toward lighter topics, the Arcosian royal quickly took the time to rebound, attempting to go back at it with his own comeback, saying with a more confident voice, "On the contrary, Zriracha, my ship runs on autopilot- as I don't love the idea of my ship being filled with unnecessary clutter. It also helps with the division of my attention toward the things of more, high maintenance nature, while aboard." He stared at her through slightly narrowed, sleepy-looking eyes for a couple moments as she began to make her way past him.
Managing to once more push his feelings down below after nearly exploding at the sight of Zriracha winking again, Polarus cleared his throat- saying within a quieter, lower toned voice as well, as he himself moved forward toward the demonness, so that he was now positioned next to her, dangerously close, "As there would be none other on board, you'd be able to discuss whatever you'd like with me at anytime, and anywhere you'd wish. And, as I did mention earlier..."
He then did something that would hopefully catch the demonness by surprise, and retracted his face mask in order to reveal the sly smile underneath as he continued, "...there's nothing you need to hide when with me."
Thinking he had properly ensured the last word was his own, Polarus promptly re-equipped his face mask, shooting a final wink at Zriracha as he opened the door for her, gesturing for her to exit first.
"Well then, do you have any preferences as to where we go next?"

She was intrigued by the quick turn-a-round; certain she had thrown him for a loop and caught him off guard with that one. She could tell that she’d at least caught his tongue rather well for a few moments, a silent congratulatory Yes! to mark the occasion. As he informed her that this ship was operated completely automated, the Demon couldn’t help the intrigued cock of her head. “How fortuitous!” She declared, very much interested in how a space-faring rendezvous would go if it were just the two of them. He continued, next to her now as they endeavored to exit the empty shop together, and she felt an odd tingle being so close to him. Her eyes widened suddenly as he expressed that she could confide in him, a part of his body on his face sliding away to reveal his smile underneath. Immediately, her face darkened three impossibly red shades before swallowing sharply at his counter-wink. For a moment, she could only stand there in flustered awe before shaking her head and clip-clopping her way out rather disoriented. Oh, two can play at this game, She promised as she slowly regained her composure. In all of her years, she’d met quite a few charming mortals. This one… She glanced back behind her, a contemplative expression on her face in spite of the slightly upturn half-smile. This one, I’m keeping an eye on. When she was certain her face had returned to it’s original color, the Satyr would look around briefly before catching sight of a mall map. “A moment!” She called to him, cantering over to the sizable board before figuring out where they were. Nearby, there seemed to be a few boutiques, more food courts (but she was fine there), and… Oh? She narrowed her eyes on a shop that read simply, ‘Not Your Typical Topic’. “That looks rather interesting… Polarus, do you think we can go here?” She called over to him, a finger placed upon the store’s location. Indeed, it seemed that Mr. Punchline did regain the last word with his last remark, with Zrirachas face changing three shades that day giving away to just how much of an effect his counters had on her. Feeling accomplished with his deeds, the Arcosian shot her a contented gaze as she looked back once more in response with her half smile, an innocent atmosphere now being exuded from him, as though the last minute or two never happened. He waited on her word until she then went on to go take a look at the mall map just a couple feet away, and he slowly made his way over to it as well- standing next to her and looking over the locations and such on it, wondering where exactly they'd be heading to next. Considering neither of them really wear clothes or have a need to eat, none of these shops or stands caught his eye particularly. However, it seemed as though Zriracha knew exactly what she was looking for- and his ears perked once more at the sound of her inquiry.
Looking at the shop in question on the map, 'Not your typical topic', Polarus felt indifferent. He didn't exactly know why the humans decided to name their stores such, confusing, titles, but all he knew was that Zriracha was interested in it, so he felt obligated to be interested in it as well.
Plus, it was fine- time spent with her was time well spent. He shrugged in response to her asking, saying, "If it is where you wish to go next, I'll happily oblige. It seems, quite mystifying, as it doesn't seem to be another food provider or clothing retailer, even though the Earthlings do love their numerous spots of those." Quickly looking at their location on the map in relation to the location of the store, Polarus saw that it was a decently timed walk for the two to get there. So, he gestured for Zriracha to follow close next to him, offering his arm for her to hang onto. This action he was able to do without flustered difficulty- as he was simply being a gentleman, of course, nothing more to read into there.
Whether she took his arm or not, the Arcosian would begin to lead the two of them toward their destination, and Polarus not wanting to be silent for the majority of it, looked down next to him at Zriracha and began to try and bring their atmosphere back from a hot and heavy one to a more, tranquil air, asking, "If I may inquire- what exactly entices you about the prospect of going off into space in general-? While I'd like to not use the stereotypes of the demon race's homeworld, as you've proven already many of said stereotypes to be wrong, I hear that the Demon Realm is not for the faint-hearted- so I would understand wanting to branch out from there at least. But why the rest of the cosmos? If it isn't too prying, of course."

Zriracha didn’t need much more to bed said as Polarus agreed to go with her to the store; the loop of his arm being accepted with hardly a hint of hesitation before she practically dragged him in the direction of the store. He might have been a leader first and foremost but when a Demon lady wanted something – patience was hardly a virtue she could boast. Still, she wasn’t so rude as to not appreciate a good conversation as they walked. The topic in particular was something of an embarrassing one if Zriracha had to admit it. With a slight huff, Zriracha assured Polarus firstly, “It’s not too prying, don’t worry but… I will have to admit that it’s a little shameful on my part.” She grinned, recalling just how learned so many mortals were of space and it’s vastness. “I am… somewhat of a scholar, though many among my family would tell you that it’s a good thing. My siblings, on the other hand-” Many years of being teased and knocked down and pranked while hiding a spell book flashed in a moment, fond and furious memories all at once. Zriracha shrugged, “We tend to disagree. Back to the point, however – I greatly enjoy the passing and accumulation of knowledge and space – while Demons are not ignorant of it – is a topic that is mostly discussed among those with a penchant for science. Roles are important among my clan and, if you do not have a penchant or talent for such a role… well, you’re steered clear of it.” Her expression fell a little as she recalled such restrictions among her clan, even if the purpose was to guide their society into a practical path. She wasn’t sure exactly what she was expecting to see as they walked the pathways of the mall in search of this ‘atypical topic’, but a dark and dark-light illuminated shoppette wasn’t one of them. She stopped just before the shop entrance and regarded it with a confused expression before heaving a sigh. “Well, it looks nice from the outside…” She mused with a disappointed smile. She, a Satyr of 6 feet and 3 inches and Polarus – an Arcosian clearing a powerful ten feet – were face to face with a rival of unprecedented difficulty: The seven-foot entrance. Worse, it was easy to see that the inside was positively cluttered with all manner of items that would make even an average adult or teenager have to squeeze between product shelving. She turned back to Polarus, a teasing smile on her face as she joked, “This is a foe I am afraid we stand no chance against.” Polarus

Attempting to look past the fact that Zriracha had taken his arm near immediately, Polarus' gaze remained steady and straight ahead as the demonness began to guide the two- their pace a quick yet still easy-going one as she began to reply to the Arcosian's pokes and prods, his head tilting in confusion once she mentioned how the matter was a bit of a shameful one to her. A bit interested as to how being a scholar of all things would be looked down upon in a place where he assumed not many chose to, well, focus on academic achievement. They were still demons, afterall. Upon hearing that it was mostly her siblings that gave her trouble about it, he instantly understood a bit better as to why she remained a bit hesitant on the matter. He rolled his eyes slightly at the thought of giving someone so much grief over something that could overall benefit the entirety of the family. He himself had no siblings, but many a cousin and such that were near his age, so he knew the strife and struggle that came with it. He, of course, was stoic enough to look past it- thinking himself beyond such petty things. But he understood why it could get to Zriracha after a long while of such arguing occurring.
His confusion grew a tiny bit upon hearing that if you weren't exactly birthed with the skillset needed to fill a specific role, then you were immediately steered away from choosing such a position. Now this sort of approach did bother him slightly, as he himself needed to work to the bone in order to gain the required skills needed to rule over his people. It wasn't something that he was inherently born with, he had not a natural aptitude toward being a ruler. But it was the drive and the materials given to him at his disposal that helped shape himself to fit the puzzle hole he wanted himself to fit into. Not just settling for something that he just so happens to be better at than others that he may not even enjoy personally.
After her explanation, Polarus replied in a contemplative tone, "It is a shame your siblings give you grief for something you happen to have a strong interest in. I commend you for your efforts to expand such knowledge, even through struggles given from your own kin. Though, knowing siblings' nature, I am sure they wish only the best. I would not mind meeting them one day, as well as visiting the Demon Realm overall eventually- Again, if you're anything to go off of, I'm sure they're quite a hospitable lot."
"...though, I find these, predetermined roles, slightly strange. I myself was not born with the prerequisites needed to fulfill the role of ruler of my own planet, but it was through continued perserverance that I was able to gain such skill, and such power-" he gestured to his overall intimidating build, the height being natural and the intense musculature earned through days of hard labor- "-needed to be worthy of the title Impervious Emperor. But, alas, such is life- different peoples, different ways of living it, so it is but a small peeve I have."
Now, as the two approached the fine establishment before them, Polarus couldn't help but also notice Zrirachas immediate realization- but for him it was due to the fact that his head met the gaze of the very roof of the building instead of the doors. This, of course, was not correct- Polarus should be staring into the store, not at the damn roof of the shop! He should have seen this coming, his height was quite towering in comparison to human builds, and so this seemed destined to happen. Looking down at the slightly disappointed demon-magician before him, he widened his eyes (since he had no eyebrows in this form, this was his form of an eyebrow raise) in a comforting manner, saying, "Are you assuming I am ungraceful with my movement-? Because neither that, nor my height will be a problem in a moment-"
He then gently unhooked Zrirachas arm from his, backing up and shifting into a sort of powering up stance- instead of power up though, a mildly bright red light enveloped his entire body, and suddenly it began to crack everywhere until it eventually shattered away- revealing Polarus within his base form. Now at a better suited height of six foot four, placing him an inch taller than Zriracha herself, he made his way back over to her- feeling strangely exposed without his True Forms towering stature. The now bite-sized shrunken down emperor offered Zriracha his arm once more, saying in an amused tone, "Did you truly believe that was my base form-? I apologize if I disappoint, then."

Zriracha was awed by Polarus admission to not being naturally suited to a role of power; a fact that had her smiling a moment later in open pride. She always believed that mortals were capable of great things – such was the way one mortality when one had... well, finite time. Her goals were lofty ones, even if she was a natural agent of chaos and darkness. All mortals had potential that likes of which immortals couldn’t fathom, or such was her opinion. While her clan held somewhat archaic ideals about ones’ potential ability within the ‘family’ – it was meant as a means to optimize on efficiency. Such limited were… - Not applicable to mortals. Not by her clan’s appraisal. Zriracha noted Polarus’ predisposition for later use, distracted by the sudden – if possible jesting manner – in which Zriracha assumed he couldn’t fit in the store. She balked, “N-No, I would never-!” However, before she could defend herself or even attempt to express platitudes, she was left to gawk rather abashedly as Polarus’ form changed before her eyes. Gone was the mask over his mouth and she could actually see the pupils of his eyes – a marvelous transformation if she’d ever seen one. As he offered his arm once more, Zriracha’s brief reverie would remain constant for only a few moments before she flinched and shook her head, a flush on her face as she looped her arm back in his own. She scrambled mentally for composure, resorting to witty banter and a wry grin as she cocked her head to the side, “Disappointed? It appears that you are the one to make assumptions now, my friend. I’m actually quite pleased by such a change of form – and you say that is your… ‘base’ form. I’m sorry, is that the one you were born with or a sort of empowered state? 'Dis-empowered' state? … Tell me to stop speaking at some point, please.” She laughed, bringing her other hand over her face as they entered the shop. Immediately, they were the focus of the occupants inside, a few seeming to take this moment to quickly finish their gathering and check out. Zriracha would shift about the store, occasionally knocking into a few shelves but quickly catching them before they fell to reposition them with a quick apology. It was a fun but quick venture, the Satyr catching a few items that intrigued her – such as earrings of delightfully satanic design of a goat head. She showed them to Polarus, commentary following, “Do you see this symbol? It is very similar to one that has been an effigy of my clan. The likeness if flattering but it is only because it is an accessory that it is accepted so widely. A moment while I purchase this?” She asked, grinning - secretly enjoying the equal footing she got to share with the planetary ruler. Polarus

Polarus found Zriracha's momentary shock quite endearing, another point it seemed for the Arcosian in this little game of theirs as she took a moment to shake herself back into a secure composure before taking his arm again, quickly and assuredly returning to her relaxed stature as she began to fire off questions left and right- once more apologizing for going on one of her signature tangents. And yet again, Polarus felt the need to reassure her that she was perfectly fine. Gently tapping on the hand that covered her face, to sort of signal that there was no need to hide from the Arcosian's gaze, Polarus was able to actually put his reassuring smile on display, what with his face mask now being retracted fully, as he said, "Zriracha, we've already gone over this- and besides, if I didn't find your small spurts of passion so endearing I would have asked you to calm it down a bit by now. But yet here we are, yes? There is no need to keep apologizing, as mentioned many times before, I find your little bursts of talkativeness quite, captivating, and it is never a bother to have to hear your voice from time to time, no matter how long the duration, so please keep doing as you do."
As they entered the store, Polarus' cold gaze silenced and made the prying eyes of the rest of the store-goers return to their duties, and once he ensured that their business would remain their business and not the public's, he returned his attention back to Zriracha, answering her questions about his base form with a factual tone of voice, saying, "You are correct in your thinking- though, I am not necessarily surprised, you have shown to be quite the insightful demonness. This is indeed my base form, and the form of which I was birthed in. We Arcosians gain access to the rest of our forms through many different means, with some needing better ways of harnessing and containing their power, and others instead using such access to these transformations as a way of instead gaining further strength. I myself am part of the latter. Not all are as blessed as I though to have such an, intimidating stature to my power ups. That, I believe, and have been told, is a result of both genetics as well as an aftereffect of my years laboring for a chance at such strength."
His gaze slowly turned downward at the floor, but his mind was very much elsewhere as he continued, "Years of academy and royal training has led me to possessing such power. Sometimes I feel as though others of my race have had it much too easy for my tastes. A large majority of them consumed by ego and their own so-called "greatness" to actually understand how to put such skill to use. Self absorbed snobs who don't deserve their so easily gained transformations. People who overall have given our race a bad name."
Realizing that he himself had now gone into a bit of a rant himself, Polarus' eyes returned to stare at Zriracha, a light flush appeared on the noble's face, with him now speaking in a more apologetic tone, "W-well, it seems that you should consider ourselves safely even in terms of tirades taken, then. I apologize for being such, as one would put it, a motor-mouth."
Perhaps he was getting a tad bit too comfortable. These thoughts were only those of which his family have ever heard, and so it did confuse him slightly as to why he was so, loosely lipped when it came to Zrirachas presence. He mused upon such a revelation as he walked through the store just behind Zriracha, his movement actually quite graceful when it came to traversing through the closely knit aisles of things and items placed upon the shelves. His thoughtful contemplation, however, was eventually interrupted once Zriracha addressed him once more- Looking at the skull with a strange expression as she pointed out the similarities between the item and her own clans symbols.
Why in the world would Earthlings sell such an item in a public store? These humans were, odd, odd beings. Nonetheless Polarus gestured toward the register, saying, "If you require anything, perhaps a means to pay for it, let me know." He then walked over to the entrance, leaning against the doorframe as he watched Zriracha intently, attempting to solve the puzzle that was, her.
What a mystifying woman.

She was still quite red in the face after he’d touched her hand, the smile he’d given her one she’d never imagined on his face. He was a ruler or planets and a noble among men and, yet… His own musings, much like herself – which made sense why he didn’t like her self-admonishment – were like that of a great king explaining the meaning of life. It was captivating and seemed to almost inspire self-discovery, were one to listen to too long. However, Zriracha silently took in the deep sorrow that she seemed to have elicited from him, smile faltering as she took in his last words of an offer to pay for her item. “That’s quite alright,” She assured him as she turned away, walking to the register before tossing him one last glance as he walked back to the entrance. She didn’t want to leave such a powerful message of strength to go unanswered, but were she to bring it back up… would it cause undue issue? Should she leave well enough alone? As she finished the transaction, magical money and an odd look here from her choice of accessory, Zriracha made her way out of the store and back to the entrance. However, before she could talk herself out of it, the Demon quickly took advantage of her height and preemptively struck – giving the Arcosian a swift peck on the cheek before spilling her guts with a wry smile, “A reward for your kind words and inspiring speech. You’ve been nothing but a gentleman since our meeting and my regretful deceit, and could only find it appropriate to allow some kind of gesture,” Her eyes then widened, a sudden realization occurring to her as she may have forgotten that physical affection to some wasn’t actually appropriate. He was a noble, after all, and she a lowly Chakkapak, “Ah, that is-! If that wasn’t too bold or unacceptable! I find myself sometimes getting a little wrapped up in the moment when I find my… desires a bit too fanciful to think twice about them! Was… that okay?” Polarus

Polarus awaited Zrirachas presence patiently, it wasn't as though he had anything better, or anything he'd rather, to do besides it. Being left alone with his thoughts though began to make him a bit absentminded of his surroundings, the rest of the world melting away as his gaze turned from one of focused contemplation to one that clearly showed that he was in a faraway place. His mind was musing over the day, believing that he and Zriracha had indeed become much closer than he had originally anticipated. Not, that this was a bad thing, no, on the contrary- Polarus was quite enticed by the possibility of it going further. He simply hoped that he wasn't rushing into things too quickly. What with him spilling his guts and inner thoughts to her while within the store being an ample example of where he thought he went a bit far. His face scrunched in slight disgust at his own actions; thinking himself an idiot for dumping so much onto her so early on. What kind of ruler does that? A ruler takes the burden so that his people do not have to, not the other way around! Bringing his hand to cover his mouth where his face mask would normally be, Polarus dogged himself for a couple moments on his actions before quickly returning to his cross armed position upon hearing the door to the "Not so typical Topic" open, knowing that it was most likely Zriracha finishing up and making her way to him.
The noble's gaze immediately was focused on her as she came toward him, his mouth opening to ask where to next when all the sudden he was cut off by a bold gesture of affection from the demonness- the cheek that she had pecked at now a light flushed color. Unable to fully regain his composure as Zriracha began to speak, Polarus' mouth opened and remained slightly agape as she explained the reasoning behind her actions, the Arcosian only able to recover once Zriracha began to stumble with her words. Shaking his head, mouth finally closing, his face still held a very prominent pink tint as his hand went up to his face once more. He laid his hand lightly where Zriracha had kissed him, willing to admit to no one but himself that he did, indeed, enjoy the gesture. However, if he made it too obvious, Polarus knew he would start losing this little game of theirs, so he remained as stoic as he could be- which was quite difficult as his hand remained on his face and the light blush still stuck.
Upon hearing Zrirachas slight panic, Polarus looked incredulously at her- truly, she was quite the puzzling woman. What was there to apologize for now? Though, as he listened to her qualms, he understood somewhat why she was slightly panicked. But, then again, one would think that such an action was only destined to happen considering their past and quite consistent flirtations. Smiling once more, rolling his eyes a bit in amusement, Polarus took both of her hands into his for a moment, saying with a bit of a sly undertone to his words of comfort, "I think you already know what I'm about to say to your apology. But something I am happy to hear is that we both seemingly desire what's right in front of us, yes?"

While she was relived that she hadn’t offended him, if the sly smile on his face was any indication, Zriracha was caught off guard by the gentle manner in which he had held her hands in his own. Despite being the nearly the same height, his hands were much larger as they held hers and she glanced down in surprise before looking back up at him. Once more, she could feel her face heat up in the moment as he spoke – teasing her about her apology. It was his next words that nearly had her heart stall within her chest painfully. Wait, is he-? Zriracha thought, eyes widening as she followed along with what he was implying. She only… Did he want to kiss her too? Wait, but why? Was it because they were flirting? Oh, she didn’t mind that in the least but something about their posture, the timing and the smile on his face seemed to feel like there was something more to be had. “I…I-” She stuttered, at a loss for words before she let out a sharp exhale and smiled, elated and conflicted at the same time. She looked back up at him, “And, pray tell me… what would you desire to do?” She wanted to hear the words, leaving no thoughts to be misconstrued or obfuscated. All the while, as she looked at him with a fiery red face and a flirty smile of her own, her tail would be twitching like mad with anxiety and excitement. Mortals are so… incredibly unpredictable! And this one – I can’t never anticipate his moves. Polarus

Polarus looked quite pleased with the results he had been given in the form of Zriracha clearly being at an utter loss for words- however, he himself began to clam up a bit as he realized the circumstances of which the two now found themselves in. Looking to his left, he could see that the heavily tinted windows of the "Not so Typical Topic" meant that while the people outside of it could look in, the people inside would not be able to see whatever was happening outside. Looking to his right, the sidewalk there was essentially bare- and while there were people inside of the stores across from this one, they were all too busy within their own musings and errands to even take notice of what was going on with these two. They were essentially alone, and the distance between the two's faces was incredibly small- with even the physical contact between the two implying something more. His face began to flush red again, and it was all Polarus could do to not become overwhelmed by this growing flustered feeling as he stood his ground, impressed Zriracha was also determined to stand toe to toe with the Arcosian noble evermore.
Part of him wondered if what they were doing was too, exhibitionist like- he knew very well if someone saw them they would most likely be called out, and so he really didn't want to put neither himself nor Zriracha through such embarrassment.
But, a greater part of him wished to win this little game of theirs. His pride overriding his sensibility. Something that didn't happen often, but when it did, it made for the most interesting of situations.
Catching the sight of Zrirachas tail beginning to give away her weakening fortitude, this little opening gave him a bright yet all the more bold idea. But then again, this relationship of theirs has been built on bold ideas, so he decided one more couldn't hurt. His own tail slowly went around Zriracha to attempt to intertwine itself with her own- his already sly smile growing as he got ever so slightly closer to Zriracha's gaze, not willing to close the distance until she admitted defeat and gave in.
Speaking in a lower, raspier tone, he said, "You're an observant woman in your own right, Zriracha, you clever devil you. Make a deduction and think. What exactly what we both could want in such a, compromising, intimate, position?"
