Whisker's PL: 18,000
Out in the barren wastes of the diablo desert, one small Hakaijin trains on his own in an attempt to master the techniques taught to him by his mentor, Master Tini. Whisker, ignoring the intense heat of the desert as he practices each punch, kick, and leap, breathes heavily and moves under some shade to rest for a moment. He had been at this for days with no real development in site. If he were being honest with himself, he knew that he wasn't going to get any better this way. His techniques had long since become second nature to him, and for as far as he went with his previous master, he still wasn't even a quarter of the way through his training. Despite this, he carried on. He had brought enough food and water with him for weeks, even making sure it would be non-perishable so that the desert heat wouldn't ruin it. Packing a tent, and other various supplies, Whisker had sat out with one goal in mind; to get stronger by any means necessary. He knew that training in the desert would help him to become resistant to the heat with enough time... but how long would that take? The recent events had Whisker's mind racing. He had made new friends, sure, but they all seemed so much stronger than he was, and while he wasn't jealous by any means, he wanted to become stronger so that he could protect his people. He had lost everything two years ago on Konats, all because of some stupid robots that decided to attack the planet. He watched on in horror as innocent people were slaughtered, his friends taken or killed, and his own master sacrificing his life to save the few people who were able to escape the planet. If he hadn't been so weak, maybe he could have stayed and helped... Maybe his master would... Fighting back his tears, Whisker renewed his training, pooling his Ki into his palms and striking forward in various motions. Left jab. Right hook. Front kick. Spinning backhand. With each new move, a small wave of energy burst forth from the tiny feline's hands and feet. After a few moments, the slow, deliberate movements increased in speed and ferocity until it became a whirlwind of air, claws, teeth, and Ki. After several minutes of this, Whisker settled down and calmed his breathing. This wasn't getting anywhere! How could he test anything if he had nobody to train with?! As he huffed and sat under the shade of a palm tree, he kept thinking about his new friends and his home in New Spei. Then, upon remember his friend Polarus, a thought came to mind. I wonder if Plaris is busy right now... Whisker took out the small electronic device he was given before the two went their separate ways. He was told to use this in case he needed him at any time. Well, he needed someone right now! This seemed like the perfect moment to test it out! Whisker took a deep breath and pushed the large button on it, hoping it would do something. When it didn't, he pressed it again. As it blinked, he waited impatiently for several minutes until he sighed and his tail drooped. "Maybe he's busy after all... It is the middle of the day after all, and he seems like the kind of man that would keep busy..." Whisker placed the device on his bag and laid down, looking up at the cloudless skies in hoped that something interesting would come along soon.

While it seemed as though the little Hakaijin thought otherwise, Polarus himself was held back from intervening for quite a different reason than the one stated. He was indeed taking a while due to his utter hatred of the desert areas of the planet. The heat, the humidity, and the sand all in stark contrast of his beloved homeworld, and giving him an overall sick feeling from deep within. The normally impervious emperor wasn't exactly sure whether it was mostly emotional or physical pain he was feeling deep inside, but nonetheless it was quite difficult to deal with as he glided through the clouds overhead to offer some sort of shade from the leaning and heated sun up above. If it was any other day, Polarus would have been at the mountain ranges of Mount Paozu, breathing in the cold mountain air and being reminded fondly of home. Instead, he was now plunged into what he thought was his own personal Hell, all for the sake of someone he chose to call his friend. Even though he treated him more as a surrogate son due to his endearing innocence. His eyes slowly drifted to his pager, which was blinking the little one's location on its radar- longitude, latitude, sea level, all of which he knew how to use to find someone from his royal training back on his world. While most royals choose to waste their time choosing which spoon to use upon their table, Polarus had used it to learn actually valuable life skills, and so now the choice to be a more practical ruler was most definitely helping him. His gaze then returned to the land immediately below him, searching the dunes below and attempting to find exactly whom he was looking for- Whisker. He wondered exactly what was the matter, and hoped the little one hadn't gotten himself in too much trouble.
Thankfully, Polarus eventually made it to his destination, and the pager signaled that he was right on top of Whiskers immediate location. He then hovered slightly above within the clouds, trying to scan the grounds below him in search of his little kitty friend until all the sudden he saw a lone palm tree within the wastes- under which a familiar small, white puffball seemed to be taking a break underneath. Smiling, he immediately dropped down to the sands below, causing a small fluff up of sand around him, immediately walking toward the Hakaijin before he realized something that could be a bit confusing for him to see.
Due to the hulking nature of his True Form, Polarus had chosen beforehand to revert to his base form to avoid having to carry an extra hundred pounds of bio-armor on his back and making him more exhausted. However, his base form was heavy in differences to his True Form, and so as he approached Whisker with a wave, Polarus said, "Before you attack me, yes, it is I, Polarus- I have simply reverted to my base form due to the stuffy conditions this desert has imposed onto me. It seems you're in the middle of a hard training session, Little One. Which is good, considering for one I had thought you were in danger and was quite worried, and two, I believe someone of your potential could go quite far!"
He walked up beside Whisker and took a seat under the shade, sighing as he found a momentary respite from the disgruntling heat. Looking to his feline friend, he asked him with a bit of a knowing smile on his face, "Well then, I assume I'm not here to supervise you. When do we start?"

Whisker's PL: 18,000
As whisker stared up at the sky, the few clouds that appeared with thin and small save for one large cumulus cloud that had managed to make its way in to the blistering heat of the desert. What interested him more was the small ship that hid beneath its shade. Whisker stared up at it, watching it closely as it travelled closer and closer to his location. Plaris?? Did you make it here after all? Whisker's immediate excitement made him jump to his feet happily, waiting for the ship to lower itself. Instead of that, however, he watched as a large, heavy object launched itself to the ground at incredible speeds. The dust that it launched into the hair sent Whisker into a coughing fit that forced him to back away towards his campsite. What he saw inside the cloud of sand and debris reminded him of his past experiences... Now entering an attack stance with his hair on end, his tail flicking rapidly, and his teeth showing, Whisker was ready to attack whatever approached him. All he could think about was how similar it was to the events of that fateful day on Konats. Flashbacks to that day left Whisker in a very tense state before a familiar voice rang in his ears. He certainly recognized the voice, but the image before him was not one he knew. It was similar to Polarus, but could it really be him? Still in his attack state, he prepared to launch himself before the figure stepped forward to confirm his suspicions. It really was Polarus! "Plaris?? Plaris!"Whisker relaxed and bounced over to Polarus much happier than before, eventually landing on his shoulder with a big smile. "I wanna be strong! I gotta do it... I made a promise Two years ago to my Master! I'm really happy you're here... Sorry it's not an emergency though... I thought maybe..." As he spoke, he climbed off of Polarus and on to the ground. He looked down and gently pushed his two index fingers together nervously, looking up at Polarus with the most pleading eyes. "Maybe you could train me...? You seem really strong and I don't have anyone else to train with... Sooner would be better than later. Will you help me Mister Plaris?"Having been nervous about asking him in the first place, Whisker hadn't noticed that he had already agreed to help him without having to ask. Once it registered, Whisker glowed with an extreme amount of joy. His smile was so wide, you'd think he could swallow a fish whole (and he probably could!). He began to hop around excitedly chanting something along the lines of 'Mister Plaris is gonna train me! Mister Plaris is gonna train me! I'm gonna get stroooonger!'

If Polarus had drank anything before this encounter, he surely would have spit it all out from the sheer delight he felt and saw from his little feline friend. First was the fact that he himself could climb the Arcosian up and down like some sort of bird on a large oak tree, an action he found both endearing and amusing in nature as he saw just how well his kitty protege could fit on his own shoulder- wondering if he would at all be opposed in the future to piggy back rides while within his True Form. Secondly, his plea for training initially made his insides into knots, the little sad kitty eyes he gave the Arcosian convincing him even more that teaching him the ways of combat was indeed the best path to take. There would be no need for any further convincing, the Arcosian royal already was planning on assisting the kitty in his journey to greater power. In fact, he didn't even need to mention his former mas- wait. He had a former master? His head tilted in slight confusion for a moment as the Hakaijin began his little chantings of joyful declamation. Two years ago, he had a master of sorts? This truly did intrigue him. He had originally thought that he was his own teacher, and now to hear differently did connect some puzzle pieces together quite snugly.
Shaking himself back to reality, he took a deep breath- only to sharply exhale the musty, dusty, hot desert air immediately to avoid harboring such warm gases within his normally cold body as he said in a slightly questioning tone, "You have had previous training from a past teacher, little one? I do hope then that my own teachings do not conflict with their own, as any person who has chosen to put the work into the embetterment of a fighter such as yourself should be treated with the utmost respect." He chose not to raise the prospect of a visit to said mentor quite yet, sensing that there was something more to this past than he initially let on, and he wished not to reopen such wounds so early.
Finally returning to the job at hand, Polarus managed to grab the Hakaijin while he had been bouncing around in joy- holding him at arms length like a father would with his infantile child as he said in a bit of a more stern yet amused tone, "Whisker, while it is good to be excited to grow as a combatant, but you must be able to refocus when needed. This is one of those times. Can you do that for me, little one?" Upon gaining confirmation from the kitten, he then would set him down onto the sands, thinking for a moment as to where they would start.
"Well, seeing as you are already all warmed up, I believe it is imperative that I know exactly where you are at within your progress in order to gauge just how far we have to go," The Arcosian said as he readied himself into a more combative stance. "Let us begin then, at once. Unless you have any qualms?"

Whisker's PL: 18,000
While whisker was hopping around excitedly, Polarus had asked him an interesting question indeed, causing the poor kitten to slow down slightly. Just as he did, Polarus snatched him up into his, calming him instantly as his tail flicked to gently to the side. Whisker finally registered what he asked. 'You had a master?' He nodded in agreement and kept himself calm. "Yeah... I used to have a master back on Konats. I was born there, but I don't know who my mom or dad is... Master Tini took me in when I was a baby and started teaching me martial arts when I was four. But two years ago... The Konats incident happened. I was there when the robots killed... everyone. My friends..." Whisker's eyes began to tear up. His nose quivered as he continued his story. "My master... he went to try and stop them so that me and some of the other villagers could escape on a ship. I saw him fighting them... he looked so tired. I just wanted to help him, but I just... I got in his way... he's dead because..." Tears started streaming down Whisker's face before he wiped them away and steeled himself, sniffling gently as he cleared his throat. "The last thing I remember is him saving me from one of the robots... When I woke up, I was told all of the robots around there were dead and I had Master's cloak wrapped around me... and I was so tired that I couldn't move. I don't know what happened..." Whisker looked down, then hopped onto the ground and shook his head out a little. "Sorry mister Plaris... I didn't mean to spill all of that on ya... We can start training now if you want." His red nose betrayed the pain still lingering in him, but his smile showed a willingness to move on. "He hadn't taught me too much in the way of technique. We hadn't really gotten that far. So you can teach me whatever you want!" He jabbed his hands forward and small orbs of Ki spilled out from them. It was clear that despite his emotional state, Whisker was prepared to focus and learn whatever Polarus was willing to teach him.

'For such an innocent looking being, he has been shown things grown men and hardened veterans would be unable to return from,' Polarus thought as he began to be told the sad tale of Whiskers origin- which brought immediate understanding of why exactly he had been so secretive about it during their first meeting. Three people, himself, Friege, and Zriracha, all learning of the nearly breaking pain this little feline fighter had been put through at the same time within their first interactions? Utterly taxing and heart wrenching to hear. And, it would indeed be quite an awkward bit of interaction afterward, so he was thankful and also quite surprised that Whisker would choose to tell Polarus so openly of such a horrible past. He would have thought he would need to become closer to the cat, but, it looked as though Whisker was one to latch onto and become close with whomever he believed was deserving of such trust; a good judge on character, and so Polarus promised that Whiskers faith in him would never be tested under any circumstance. After shaking himself back to reality, the benevolent emperor continued to listen to the Hakaijin, wishing he had brought a tissue of some sorts as he worried that Whisker would begin to cry, and thus losing the moisture he would need to survive out in the dunes as well as in order to be a good friend.
As the little Hakaijin began to wrap up his story, something didn't exactly sit right with Polarus afterward. His family being the conscientious type of rulers, they kept tabs on the many goings on in the universe around them, writing down in their history logs everything of importance that had occurred in the entirety of their rule. Within their logs Polarus recalled the planet Konats being within their databanks, with the most update right after the robotic massacre being that of the planet miraculously being repopulated- as though the numbers that had been killed off were suddenly replaced, or perhaps even, returned from beyond the grave. Statistically it seemed impossible, but indeed he remembered it, and so Polarus felt obligated to let the kitten know that not all was lost- and that there still stood a lead of hope for him and his people.
He was about to let the kitten know of the good news when all the sudden Whisker started forward with an immediate straightforward assault of his recently acquired teacher, Polarus having to raise his hands quickly in defense in order to barely even block the brunt of the attack, the balls of Ki landing with a strangely solid impact onto the Arcosians forearms. The impervious emperor allowed himself an impressed smile- his teacher taught him well, it seemed. However, if Whisker was to make up for his failure back on Konats, and was to truly grow, he needed to be exposed to adversity and a high pressure battle, and so Polarus charged forward- eating the remaining couple of Ki blasts with relative ease as he went for an overhead slam, both hands folded and clenched together into a ball as he yelled out in an authoritative and objective tone, "In order to fight at one hundred percent capacity, you must use your birth-given advantages as much as possible! Seeing as you're quite mobile and have come to possess quite a bit of speed, I want to start cultivating proper usage of such agility- and so you must learn to DODGE-"
If unable to reply fast enough, Polarus' fists would indeed come down onto the Hakaijin, slamming him into the sandy ground as Polarus then backed up and fired off a large array of magma-colored Ki blasts as well, yelling over the sound of his blasts echoing off, "I will NOT hold back on you, Whisker! If you are to learn from me, you will learn by FORCE!"

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker's presentation of his jabs certainly didn't go unnoticed, as almost as quickly as he threw his punches did Polarus dodge and reciprocate with his own form of attack. Realizing immediately that Polarus kept to his word and was certainly not holding back, Whisker leapt into action, coming closer to Polarus instead of running away and dodging around the side, letting Polarus dig his arms into the sand to kick up dust and provide a slight smokescreen for Whisker. In the moment after Polarus' 'hammer' hit the sand, a flurry of blows dug into his side in what seemed to be marking instead of an actual attempt to harm. It left some scratch marks but was ultimately harmless. Using the large Arcosian's own weight against him, Whisker leapt off of his leg with a backflip to put some distance between them. By the force of the shockwave alone, Whisker could tell that Polarus was strong and not one to be underestimated. Luckily, his natural athleticism and instincts allowed him to make quick judgements in combat so long as he had his head on straight. "Missed me! Hehehe." Whisker's face was stone solid with determination and a slight smile. Finally, he would be able to train with someone else! He had been waiting for something like this to happen for so long! Without a moment to lose, Whisker ran around to the other side of Polarus quickly, stopping when he reached the exact other side of him before launching forward and unleashing another flurry of claws, but this time with actual affect! It seemed that the first attack was merely a test of his armor thickness, as Whisker's sharp, talon-like claws attempted to pierce through the thick, natural armor of his sparring partner. This was the first attack Master Tini had taught young whisker, and was his most practiced move. Though he knew this move in and out, he had never knowingly used it against anyone before, so he had no clue how effective it would be against an actual person. Did I do it? Did it leave a mark?Whisker unleashed a flurry of claws and punches using his Shredder technique! This move does 33% of the user's PL in Damage! The attempted craftiness of his newest protege did bring a large smile onto the Arcosians face- yes, indeed, his eye for potential power to be realized within a worthy student being spot on with its prediction. He allowed for the Hakaijin to continue his assault, impressed with the fact that he had taken advantage of his lack of knowledge on sensing Ki by using a sand-made smokescreen in order to obscure his vision. Indeed quite a resourceful one, but then again, such things could be deduced from their very first interactions. What with him being able to hunt, skin, and rebuild houses on his own with little to no help, so such a skill didn't necessarily come to Polarus as groundbreaking. Though, he also realized just how much he hated sand at the moment, the grains of it now stinging his eyes and getting into the cracks of his bio armor, now irritating him to an endless degree. In his haste to attempt to remedy such a predicament, the normally impervious emperor was unable to block or counter what came next- which was of course Whiskers death by a thousand scratches upon his exposed underside. He braced for what he assumed would feel like thousands of mini-knives stabbing into his tense flesh.
However, the feeling never came, only a small tinging akin to that of getting a couple paper cuts on his side coming with Whiskers actions. He was a tad bit confused- however the inquisitive emperor suddenly realized that this was most likely the opportunity the Hakaijin was waiting to take advantage of, what with all the sudden the little furball utilizing the Arcosians own extreme athleticism to his own usage and was caught offguard by his mobility, something that continued to surprise him slightly throughout this little scuffle of sorts. It did feel good to finally break out into some combative motion though, as Lao (though he couldn't sense energy signatures, he could feel that Whisker was already a bit stronger than he) was fun to spar with, but wasn't at the level of consistent competition quite yet, and so it was indeed helpful to have someone of ample strength to fight with. As the swiftly moving combatant circled around the Frost Demon, Polarus didn't really expect much of his assault- really just waiting to tank it and then retaliate with absolute furious intent. But, Polarus was once again caught lacking, and as Whiskers claws tore into the softer areas of flesh on his side, a loud yell of shock and awe was sounded off from Polarus. He immediately went to backhand him away, hoping to use the moment that he would be priding himself on actually causing damage to catch Whisker instead now offguard. However, this backhand was no ordinary backhand.
Once Polarus took his fist upward for the set up of the motion, a malefic magma-like aura enveloped his entire body, erupting like a flame specifically around his arm as he then brought it down with a thunderous roar. His entire arm looking as though it was a searing, gigantic, burst of lava like substance soaring toward the kitten. He hoped to backhand Whisker far away enough in order to get the impact across loud and clear, as well as to set up the second part of the move- wherein he charged forward toward Whisker and slammed his now yellow and red colored Ki encased right fist into the cats soft underbelly, a gigantic supernova explosion of massive proportions occurring as the impact happened.
Afterward, the now coldly composed Arcosian stepped forward toward the crater he'd have most likely made with such action, sand particles now falling from the air with a slight shining glint- the very heat of the attack enabling them to instantly turn to glass midair. His eyes glared into the sand, waiting for Whisker to make another move.
"If you're going to be taught by me, you're going to deal with the harsh consequences of not being able to keep up..." Polarus said aloud as he waited, although a guilty feeling now slowly arising from within the pits of his heart because of the overly emotional treatment of Whisker up to this point. He hoped he wasn't hurt too badly.

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker smiled at his successfully landed hit only to be hit with a surprise flurry of blows of Polarus' own. Ahh! I should have expected that! He saw every hit coming, but he simply wasn't fast enough to dodge! When the first punch landed, it certainly threw Whisker's tiny and incredibly light body far from Polarus. Whisker winced in pain, but was certainly not ready to give up! He steeled himself again as Polarus rushed forward with a devastating blow to his stomach! The wind was knocked out of him, but he refused to simply give up either! He couldn't be weak! He refused to be weak! I have to get up... Ow... My body hurts... it's so heavy... I need... I gotta get up...Falling into the sand with a loud thud, Whisker's mind twisted with only one thought. He needed to show he was strong. He needed power. He laid there while the dust formed around him and the surrounding area, shards of glass digging into the hot desert sands. A voice rang inside his head... a familiar, yet dark voice that terrified him to his very core. Do you want power? Whisker hesitated, not really knowing what this voice meant or what it wanted. It repeated itself. Do you want power, little Whisker? "Y-yes... I need... to be powerful... please... help me..." It will come at a cost... are you willing to pay it? "Anything... Just... Tell me what I need to do...!" Let go... and allow me to take the wheel for a little bit.Whisker closed his eyes as his consciousness faded. As his vision blurred, his power level slowly decreased until it was nothing. For a few moments, all was quiet as the dust began to clear... And then in the instant before all was calm, a huge amount of dark red energy exploded from Whisker as he appeared standing up in the middle of the dust cloud. Though it was indeed Whisker standing there, he seemed like another person entirely. His face was twisted in anger, his eyes were blood red and focused, and his fangs and claws had grown to three times their length. Even his body looked bulkier and muscled rather than fluffy and harmless. It was as if he had transformed into a monstrous version of himself. What was worse, though, was that he didn't seem to recognize who he was even fighting. From Whisker came a low growl followed by a strange and horrifying roar of anger that seemed to come from two people at once. Charging forward, Whisker quickly disappeared and started reappearing and disappearing constantly around Polarus. Tracking him was an incredibly difficult task, though it didn't seem like he was ready to attack just yet. It was almost as if he were getting used to his body, as it seemed as though he was only getting faster. If something wasn't done soon, who knows what this strange feline might come up with? Uh oh, Someone made the cat frenzy! Whisker took the full brunt of that attack, causing 9652 PL in damage! As the first couple moments passed without any word from Whisker, and due to the fact that he was unable to sense power signatures just yet, Polarus' guilt and his worry began to grow quite quickly. Once the dust had settled completely, and the crater wherein he would find Whisker laying in remained quiet, the Arcosian had half a mind to call off the training session right there and then. He slowly began to approach the crater with a tentative look, afraid of what he'd find below the dunes. In fact, he was just about to call out to Whisker, saying that he was sorry when all the sudden a dangerously dark looking energy exploded from within the depths of the sandy wastes, and immediately forced Polarus back out of the crater. He now regained his sense of cold solidarity as he saw that Whisker had undergone some sort of rage-induced transformation. Or at least, he safely assumed it was from a fit of rage, as the aura reeked of negative energy, and of course the whole monstrous properties that his feline friend had now gained from aforementioned transformation sort of gave him an angry kind of vibe. Strangely enough it reminded him of his own True Form, in several parallels. Lengthened and spikier features, as well as an overall bulkier stature to Whiskers body, reminded him of his True Form's increase in musculature and number of shoulder and arm spikes. He felt flattered in an odd way. While it could always be coincidence, the idea of Whiskers subconscious modeling his form(s) after Polarus' own made him feel- was that an iota of pride? Shaking his head, attempting to regain his bearings against what could be a more dangerous opponent than he bargained for, his eyes refocused on the more monstrous Whisker, nerves tensed in wait for his next move.
As the ferocious feline let out a soul-shaking howl, Polarus realized that Whisker was not only physically different from his usual, cuddly, furry self- but also very mentally different, the atmosphere he was exuding now that of a predators when it was on a hunt for its prey. However, if he thought for a second that within this corrupted form he would become the hunter and he the hunted, well, Whisker still had much to learn then. It took much more than just posturing and sharper claws to make a dent into this impervious emperor.
Once Whisker charged forward, Polarus did as well- only to immediately realize the speed deficit between the two, the now buffed up Hakaijin able to quite literally run circles around him. The afterimages left from his now constant circling giving Polarus a headache when he attempted to pinpoint his location. Holding his face for a moment, the Arcosian noble realized that now was perhaps the time to let loose a touch of his true power. In order to hopefully halt the kitten in their tracks, as well as help equalize the playing field a bit, Polarus began to call upon the power of his Monster form.
Shifting into a powering up stance, his feet sticking securedly into the ground, Polarus let loose an authoritative bellow as all the sudden his entire body was engulfed in a magma-like aura, lava looking Ki encompassing the entirety of his body right before a stunningly bright red explosion overcame the immediate area, leaving Polarus standing there, as his evolved self. The reason why he chose the quicker path as opposed to the more scenic route he normally had when he transformed was because he did not want to risk Whisker attacking him during such a long winded power up- something that he did not doubt he would take advantage of.
Now, with his heightened level of senses and increased strength, Polarus was able to pinpoint pauses and places wherein Whisker stopped in his cycle of afterimaging around the Arcosian- areas where he assumed he was attempting to scope out any openings in Polarus' own defenses. He stood there for a couple more moments before shooting forward out at a point in the cycle where he could clearly see Whisker, and not just one of his afterimages, and he planned on slamming a hard right hook into the now bulkier right side of Whiskers lower abdomen, trying to use the momentum from the impact to throw him back into the ground once again, now quickly following up with one of his infamous Hellfire Howitzers- another loud yell sounding off from the Arcosian as he aimed his palm straight at the crater where Whisker was most likely in, firing off the magma-colored beam right toward the (hopefully) grounded Hakaijin.
Once the beam hit, and the explosion passed, Polarus would slowly drift downward to the sand below him once more, this time choosing to lie within the dust cloud- waiting intently for Whisker to attempt to make an offensive move on him in return.
This was getting much more exciting than he bargained for!
Polarus transforms into his Monster Form for a PL total of 117,000. Hellfire Howitzer fired for a damage potential of 38,610. KP 1/3.

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
Whisker yowled in a strange and horrible voice that seemed to echo from all around. Instead of running from the Ki blast or trying to dodge it, he charged it with madness in his eyes. Internally, Whisker's mind tried all that it could to get through to his body. STOP IT! I DON'T WANT TO HURT HIM! PLEASE, STOP! Yet no matter how much he pleaded with himself, his body simply didn't respond. It was as if he was trapped inside himself with no way out. This was what he experienced every time his blood destruction activated. "Blood Destruction" was what he named this accursed form the first time it was activated and he remained conscious for it. Having it activate at a time like this was terrible luck indeed. The moment the Ki blast was within a few meters of Whisker, the ground shook, sending whisker flying backward defensively. From beneath the sand, a massive, worm-like monster with a mouth that split into eight pieces filled with sharp teeth screeched forth, both absorbing the blast himself and snapping at the air in an attempt to find its prey. Different than expected from such a large monster, it had no eyes and roared with a high-pitched, blood-curdling scream that shook the earth each time it happened. Turning towards the direction the Ki blast came from, this monster worm launched itself in Polarus' direction, crawling incredibly quickly in the sand. Taking this opportunity, Whisker launched an attack forward, almost like he didn't notice the ridiculously large beast in front of him... that, or it didn't matter who the tiny monster attacked as long as there was blood. His claws seemed not to be able to penetrate the thick hide of the worm without putting in some real effort, but his body was already tired. Whisker needed to take a break before he wore himself out. Hopping back and getting into a defensive position, Whisker's body automatically began channeling its Ki into his fists again, ready to attack anything in front of him indiscriminately.

"Perhaps it would be wise to call this training session, adjourned," Polarus muttered to himself with a much more concerned undertone as Whisker clearly was out of control- charging straight at the blast fired instead of doing what every other regular martial artist with a lack of strength to tank such a blast would do and dodge it. Clearly this increase in strength led to a hard decrease in sanity, and this was not at all the point of this training session. It was to teach Whisker the importance of evading and using his own strengths to his advantages, and this form of his seemed a gigantic liability to be sorted out by itself at a later time. So, the emperor sped forward, intent on swatting away the blast and then somehow restraining Whisker in order to possibly calm him down back into his base.
However, it seemed that mistress fate had other plans for the duo, and from the ground birthed a hellish looking sand beast that looked NOTHING of EARTHLY ORIGIN! Upon doing research of Earth, no such creature has ever come up in his planets informed databases. It seems that the blue pearl of the universe held many more secrets and surprises he will ever come to know. Some ever more violent than others.
Covering his, well, what humans would call his ears, as the beast bellowed a high pitched screech, Polarus allowed himself to land back onto the ground once more in order to steady himself slightly, and begin to compartmentalize the situation- realizing that even if this beast looked the part, the chances of it actually being dangerous to someone of his strength and stature was actually incredibly low. Regaining his confidence quickly after that, Polarus stood up straight- crossing his arms as he let out a taunting laugh at the monstrous sand worm. "If you believe yourself to be worthy to tussle with the Impervious Emperor himself, then please do be my guest-!" The Arcosian called out as the worm began to slither its way toward him, each of its eight separate mouth pieces moving on their own, as if relishing their chance at a fresh meal.
Still somewhat basking in light of his own confidence, Polarus was unable to react to exactly what was to happen next- and as the worm suddenly raised itself high up into the air and began to just as quickly bring itself down for an overhead smash, the "impervious" emperor was unable to get his arms up in time to block the attack, and so ended up taking the entire impact of the worms blow right on top of him. His body immediately folded like an omelette under the weight, and as the worm slowly came back up, within the crater it left laid the nigh hither to unconscious form of Polarus, lulling incoherently from the headache he now had.
Oddly enough, this was exactly what Polarus prided himself on being able to avoid- his ability to keep his cockiness from reaching unsafe levels. And yet here he was, within a grave dug by his own hubris. Stifling a sigh, the Arcosian decided that it wouldn't hurt to take a small break to recover.
Yes, a small break was in order, his body felt oh so heavy...and the sand underneath him bore such a lovely feeling warmth on his skin- not at all like the stifling heat that he had felt beforehand. No, this was bed-like, and began to lull Polarus even further to an unconscious state. He began to shut his eyes, breathing slowed as he began to allow himself to drift away from consciousness, perhaps looking to Whisker as though he had been completely put out of commission. While, in reality, it really was just the desert atmosphere taking its toll on him after being caught offguard by a lower leveled attack.
The worm however, didn't really care whether or not Polarus was feinting weakness, and immediately began to dive headfirst at the nearly unconscious Frost Demon, hoping to fill its stomach with what seemed to be the easiest meal to date.
How embarrassing.
To be eaten the first training session with your newest protege.

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
Whisker's Ki boiled within him as he watched his mentor being completely bodied by this monstrous sand crawler. Even though his eyes were clouded in hate for everything that was in front of him, and the voices in his head were overpowering, his heart still hurt as he watched his friend being beaten up by this immense critter. The world around him began to whirl and darken as Polarus hit the sand hard. With the dust kicked up, it was even harder to see whether he was even alive or not. As the darkness encroached, Whisker couldn't help but to blame himself. Someone he looked up to was once again going to die because of him... It hurt so much that he just wanted everything to go away. He shut his eyes tightly on the inside, despite his body keeping them open. Small tears fell from his eyes, though nobody was around who could see it. It was at this point that whisker begged himself to push harder. "You have to save him! Do something!" Didn't you want to beat him? This is the perfect opportunity to show you're better than him! "I... I don't want that! not if it means he'll die!" I can't control that monster. There is nothing I can do, and it isn't any of MY business what happens to him!
"DO IT OR I'LL MAKE SURE YOU NEVER COME OUT AGAIN!"
You think you can stop me?! "...Fine. If you won't help, I'll do it myself." Whisker could no longer sit and watch as this thing inside him sat around waiting for Polarus to die. If he couldn't control it, then he would just have to use it. Whisker raced towards the beast, clawing up its skin as it travelled down the entire length of it. Most of the scratches couldn't make it through the thick, leathery skin, but some of them managed to leave marks. With each bloody scratch he left, the worm cried out in pain until it could no longer ignore the little gnat that was climbing its back and causing it pain. As it turned and screeched at Whisker, his glowing red eyes burned with a hellish fury. He ran even faster toward its mouth, ready to filet the creature at a moment's notice. It seemed the worm, however, had different plans. Realizing how close Whisker was, it flung its body upward and dug into the ground, launching Whisker off of him and into the sand back where he started. Whisker managed to catch himself, but before he could react, the sandworm was under him again and emerging mouth first from the sand! It came so fast that he couldn't escape the sand trap that was this creature's enormous mouth. "...NO!" See... Whisker closed his eyes for a second, wondering just where he went wrong, and how he wound up like this... but in the next moment, something in his heart flickered. the moment passed by in slow motion as the monster closed its mouth. With each passing second, Whisker's body heated more and more, and as the monster swallowed him and moved back to Polarus to attempt the same with him, Whisker opened his eyes suddenly. The next moment went by so suddenly that even if there were a crowd present, it is unlikely they would be able to explain what happened. Just as the monster bent down to pick up the unconscious Arcosian, the worm screamed in terror and pain as it fell to pieces from the stomach outward! Whisker, who was certain he was going to die if he didn't react quickly, felt the burning heat of his will to survive and dug his way out from the brink of death. His claws felt sharper and stronger than ever as he tore apart the creature and left nothing of it that would allow it to continue to live. He wanted nothing more than to kill this thing and save Polarus! It is for this very reason that the creature exploded into pieces around Polarus, narrowly avoiding hitting him. As the gut-covered cat crawled its way out of the worm's carcass, his breathing was heavy and labored. He walked but a few steps before collapsing and falling unconscious. Even with how close this victory was, Whisker couldn't help but feel a little proud of himself... not only for surviving such a dangerous encounter, but also for protecting his friend and mentor. He earned this... nap... Whisker used a powered up Shredder against the Sand worm, tearing it to pieces from the inside! KP: 2/3 -> 1/3 He activated Vigor, Boosting his offensive PL by +x2 for this post! New PL Formula: 18,000 x9/x3 -> 162,000/54,000 Damage percentage: 53% He then passed out in the sand between Polarus and the Sandworm.

Being as he was facedown within the sand dunes for the majority of this conflict, Polarus was unable to see just how effective Whisker was in finally reigning in his inner demons in order to fight for the safety of his new teacher. If he could though, there would be no doubt of his pride- he would be very much impressed by the Hakaijins show. But, again, currently Polarus was nigh hither to unconscious, and so he was unable to survey exactly what had gone on within his absence until he finally found the will and the urgency to bring himself to his feet. The Arcosian royal began to shake the sand out of his bio-armor as he rose, his eyes being greeted with bits and pieces of the former sand worm around him. He muttered a few incredulous remarks as he walked around, picking up a piece of the beasts mouth flap and surveying its sharpened teeth. The tear marks on the flesh were incredibly clean cut, and thus could only be done by a weapon of which that had an incredible sharpness to it. He assumed Whiskers claws were the cause of this of course, but from the look of the slice marks it would mean that he had been cutting at the beast from the inside- which wouldn't be possible, unless..
..Polarus' anxiety began to peak a bit as he realized what this would mean.
That Whisker had indeed most likely been eaten by the monster of the dunes.
Throwing the piece of worm to the wayside, the now on edge emperor began his search for his little feline friend immediately, running around the large crater before finally coming upon Whiskers body not too far from the rest of the carcass of the sand worm, picking him up immediately and cradling him within his arms. A thankful and quite relieved sigh left his lips as he saw his little chest move up and down in a rhymic manner- he was indeed still alive, just unconscious as he was.
"I think this constitutes a bit of a break..." Polarus muttered to himself as he began to trek his way out of the large crater, his eyes now casting a watchful gaze over the immediate area just in case there were more of these creatures to come. Of course, they wouldn't be so dangerous now that Polarus knew not to take them lightly, but if they were to return with greater numbers, that would indeed be a problem.
Once he had reached the small palm tree Whisker had found himself at the beginning of this whole tirade, the Arcosian gently set him down against the trunk of it- taking out a capsule from within the folds of his bio-armor and activating it. A small mini-fridge of sorts popped out (his human friend Lao had suggested to him to grab one, as he never knew when he'd need a drink of some sorts) and Polarus took from within it a small water bottle. Unscrewing the cap, he began to gently pour the cold liquid onto the kittens head, hoping to revive him from his slumber. If he were to wake up, he'd hand him the rest of the bottle- gesturing for him to take a drink before anything else.
"That was, interesting." Was all the Arcosian could muster as he leaned against the palm tree next to Whisker with another sigh.

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
The sand was warm on Whisker's fur, and yet he couldn't help but to feel cold. Inside the tiny, unconscious body of the kitten, a black storm swirled around the embodiment of his psyche. On his knees with his hands covering his ears from the howling winds, not even screams can be heard from inside the vortex. What he sees from the inside are false memories of possible events that could have taken place in several instances. The first "memory" stems from the Konats incident two years ago. With those same events playing back in his head, there are the lost memories he's sealed away and replaced with replicas that have been altered by his subconscious mind. What he is certain of is that he tried to help his master, and then he woke up on a ship. The memory that was planted there in its stead was of him running away and hiding while the robots destroyed everything he had ever known and murdered everyone he had ever come to love while he watched helplessly. Many of his memories looked to be tainted with some kind of darkness that lingered within them. Even the happy ones were being consumed by this darkness, though noticeably more slowly than the bad memories. If this wasn't fixed soon, who knows what might happen to Whisker's soul. The newest memory which was brought into the vortex was the sandworm. Where he had slain the beast in the real world, in his mind he had failed to protect his friend, and Polarus instead perished in the stomach of the horrifying monstrosity. Once again, it was as if Whisker couldn't reach him in time, like he was being grappled by something and held back. This dream-like state was at its worst when he was involuntarily unconscious after traumatic events. His first untainted memory of his transformation was when he fought back a band of rogues that threatened the town. It was his first feeling of control over a situation, and it left him wanting to perfect his transformation after leaving several of them hospitalized for quite a while. Through this cyclone of memories, a voice could be heard by Whisker, the same one that plagues him every time he transformed. So then, are you proud? You got your power, but at what cost? Your friend is dead and it is all... your... fault. "No.... No it's not true! It can't be!" Whisker grasped his head, trying to hide it from the voice by any means necessary. He didn't want to feel this way, despite what the memories told him. The voice kept urging him to look at what he had done, to look upon the face of the last person he had failed. When he did, his eyes filled with tears as he called out a name. "...PLARIS!" Gasping and snapping himself awake, Whisker rose suddenly and looked around, begging for the image of his frozen titan friend to grace his eyes. When all he saw was sand for a few moments, tears filled his eyes again, fearing that his failure was indeed real. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw him. His friend was not only alive, but awake and looking right at him! Trying his best to hold back his tears, Whisker muttered out once more. "P-Plaris?" No longer able to contain it, his tears burst forth as the poor cat sobbed and jumped into Polarus' arms, blathering about how he thought he had died and that it was all his fault. All he could think about was his friend, despite his own body feeling heavy and sore from the injuries he had sustained. All that mattered to him was that those he cared about were safe. After all, he was the one that asked for help.
