I was thinking about this when I was trying to do a DnD style system for Dragon Ball. Earthlings aren't just Humans, they're also Beastmen.
I feel Beastmen come in two varities
Shape Shifters (Puar, and Oolong)
and
Predators (These are the classic Beastmen we often saw Goku and co fight in early Dragon Ball.)
I feel they're distinct enough that just lumping them in with humans is doing them a bit of a disservice. I always felt they had the short end of the stick honestly. Like, the best representation they got in the shows were Puar and Oolong. And that one Ninja Shiba Inu that hangs out with Pilaf.
I think we can do better for them on this site. What do you all think?
