Zriracha couldn’t help the bubble of laughter that came to her as Whisker tried to use his energy fists to launch himself off the ground. It wasn’t exactly what she was going for, but she had to hand it to him that he was quite clever in attempting such a thing. Perhaps, with such ingenuity, there would be a use for such a technique? His trial and error was as invigorating as it was stressful when he’d put too much power into his hands and popped up into the air. She winced as he fell onto his back, her hands held up in the air as if to grab him but holding back, He is not weak. I must let him learn! As he patted himself off, Zriracha leaned down and repaid his inspiring words, “You’re so very close! Whiskers – you can do this! Try again,” And she watched, waiting. Within moments, with amazing effort, she was witnessing his transformation for herself. The more patience he put into his technique and concentration, the better he was getting at it. As he plopped back down for the last time, the Satyr didn’t hold back anymore and attempted to scoop him up into her arms – throwing him a few feet into the air before catching him. “That was fantastic!” She elatedly congratulated him. “You did it and so quickly too!” Grinning widely, she held him before her and above her head, “When I was so young, it took me an entire MONTH to understand that concept! And you… you did it in... a DAY! I couldn’t be more excited for what you can do!” After a moment, she set him down – a little ashamed that she’d gotten so overexcited but also incredibly jealous that he had so much incredible potential so young. “I imagine your master would be very proud, Whiskers. They chose a very erudite acolyte!” She cocked her head to the side and asked him, "Do... Do you want to celebrate? I think this has been quite a bountiful day of training for the both of us," She chuckled softly, kneeling in front of him on the ground as she awaited his response. Whisker

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker smiled when he succeeded in his attempt, even if it did tire him greatly. Before he could relax though, Zira had lifted him into her arms and started congratulating and complimenting his efforts. His smile grew even larger and he began to giggle, feeling really good about impressing his friend, and she was even so happy as to throw him into the air a few feet and catch him again, something he was also not expecting but enjoyed nevertheless! "Hahahaha! Miss Zira, I was only able to do it because you taught me! You're the best!" When she sat him down again, Whisker looked upon her as he face flushed gently. She certainly let her better side out there, and it seemed like she wasn't used to it, but... He liked this side of her! It was like a mother celebrating the accomplishments of her child and it made him feel so warm inside. When Zira mentioned his master, his head and tail drooped a little. "I... I wish he coulda been here to witness it... But that is... impossible." Shaking away the sadness his heart felt at realizing his master would never get to see him grow, whisker smiled politely and jumped up, hugging Zira tightly and closing his eyes. "Thank you Zira... Thank you for helping me." Lingering on the hug a little, Whisker eventually hopped back down and dusted himself off one last time. While he would have loved to continue training, he was far too exhausted to go any further. "C-celebrate? What's that? It's been a great day! Does 'celebrate' mean rest in the demon realm?" Whisker put his hand up to his tiny chin and thought about what she could mean by celebrate. He had certainly heard the word before, but never had the chance to learn what it meant. His life had been full of training, surviving, and... well, more training. The most rest he had gotten was before or after a big day, when he could no longer move his body. He loved training, but had always been curious about what that word meant. "I-if it's good, I'd love to celebrate!"

It warmed her that he held such high regard; yes, she helped him, but it was own efforts that were worthy of praise. Did he not believe he was worthy of them? Her smile faded slightly as he seemed quite sad when she mentioned his master. She thought that perhaps he was just somewhere else, a guardian that allow Whisker’s to be on his own… however, it was quite apparent that his master was no longer of this world, her eyes widened. Oh! What a fool I am! She opened her mouth to apologize, yet the word got stuck in her throat when the young kitten jumped at her and enveloped her in a hug. She looked down, mouth agape in shock as he thanked her. The emotion elicited in her was… powerful. Her arms hesitated behind Whisker’s as he held her – uncertain now… if SHE deserved such an honor. Still, for his sake, she wrapped her arms around him and patted his back. “You’re welcome… young one.” When he pulled back, Zriracha made quick effort to wipe a black tear away from her face and smile down at him. When he didn’t seem to know what ‘celebrating’ was, the Demon couldn’t help but lurch back in horror. “What?” She questioned with surprise in her voice. “Rest? It... it could be, but – Whiskers, it so much more than that!” She laughed, “It is… Oh, to put words to it. It’s the act of congratulating someone by doing something FUN! You could go out to eat somewhere new, or play games that you don’t often play or…” She paused, thinking briefly about what adults do for fun but not willing to bring it up or into to words. “Really, anything. Rest is one of them, too, but that tends to be BORING!” She grimaced at the idea of just laying around as a means to celebrate. Not that she didn’t love to be lazy already. She held out a hand, magic gathering in her palm, “Would you like something interesting to eat? Maybe something you’ve wanted to try but never could?” She teased, trying to spark up his imagination. Whisker's PL: 18,000
"Something fun... Well there are lots of things I haven't tried before. I haven't played a lot of games, most of what I do for fun is hunting and fishing! But to try something new..." Whisker thought long and hard. There were so many new things he wanted to do that he couldn't decide between them. There was one thing above all else, though, that he was told he needed to try. "Um... There is one food I've really wanted to try since coming to earth. I think they call it Peet-Zah? We can play something while we eat, too! Maybe something that doesn't require too much concentration, I'm exhausted!" Whisker laughed and sat on the edge of the spring, dipping his toes in gently and sighing comfortably. "Miss Zira, you've done great today too! We should celebrate your victory as well, what do you wanna do? Is there a food you'd like to try?" Whisker tilted his head as his grin widened. He was certain of one thing, and that is that Zira was like him in that they didn't grow up with the same pleasantries that Earthlings did. Most of these concepts were foreign to him, but while she knew what a celebration was, he imagined her experiences with them must be vastly different. Waiting for her response, Whisker hopped over to his tent and grabbed some water. "Would you like something to drink?"

She gave an enthusiastic nod, “Games will work! I know many games, but if you have one mind and describe it to me well, I might be able to make it.” She was a getting better with the magic the more she used it and the spell books she’d been wording through Net-space were also a great help. She just… needed to not forget her password as often… As she waited for him to come up with something else, she would sit beside him and PLOP her legs into the water with a hearty splash. The mention of ‘pizza’, one of the most wondrous creations she’d ever come to know, the Demon couldn’t help but stare at Whisker’s for a full second with stars in her eyes. The memory of the Pizza she shared with Mumbo came to mind, one of her first and fondest memories of food. “I can make you… the best pizza that’s ever existed,” She promised him with a whisper, trying to keep her excitement down to a minimum in order to not scare him. “Okay, okay!” She let out a few exhales and took in a deep breath before she held out her hands and summoned her magic, “PIZZA!” And with a giant POOF! A giant metal plate of pizza with various topics would appear, steaming hot and ready to eat. She looked down at him, presenting the hot metal plate of food, “Look! Isn’t it great?!” With another, smaller, poof! A table would materialize under them to allow the Demon to cool her hot hands. She looked at him when he suggested they celebrate her victory too, but she just laughed, “Do you think so? Well… then, we’ll just have to share this pizza, then! To be honest, I’ve been wanting to try making this for a long time!” She gave a nod to the offer of water, “Thank you. Let’s, how do the Earthlings say it… ‘Dig in,’ yes!” She picked up a slice and started eating, pointing at the best ones for Whisker’s to try. The evening went on like this, sharing in different foods that one wanted to try and reveling in the small victories. As they finished the pizza, the sun would appear to have begun to set, casting a red to pink glow on the horizon. It was a beautiful sight and one Zriracha wished to enjoy for a while, yet… Whisker

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker's eyes widened at hearing the words "best pizza that's ever existed" and his mouth began to water uncontrollably as stars formed in his eyes. "B-b-best pizza ever?!" He could barely contain his excitement! When Zira started using her magic to conjure up the Pizza, Whisker almost leapt upon the plate that appeared. Had it not been for his instincts kicking in, he might have burned himself quite badly on the clearly steaming round plate of delectable cheese, dough, and various ingredients! The smell alone was nearly enough to melt the poor kitten. Seeing the table appear, Whisker cautiously tried his first bite of the pizza, not quite knowing what to expect. Whisker was lost for words. The intense taste of the tomato-based sauce paired with the salty cheese and hand-conjured toppings exploded in his mouth, making his eyes widen to an unreal level as his mouth hung open after swallowing his first bite. Tears formed in his eyes as he was unable to hold back anything in this moment. Not only did he get to spend an amazing day training with his great friend Zira, he also got to enjoy the best dish he has ever had! He engulfed the rest of the slice and ate every kind of pizza that Zira pointed out. He couldn't even speak between bites, all he could do was enjoy the wonderful and varying tastes of the food! With each new thing she conjured up, new and exciting flavors brought so much joy and excitement to Whisker that he almost passed out several times, but at the end of the day, when all the food was gone, the most enjoyable experience ever was snuggling up to his mentor and friend to watch the setting sun. "I should celebrate more often... this was a great day! Thank you so much... Zira..." Whisker leaned against Zira and let out a big yawn. He was so happy from his day of training and stuffing his face that he didn't even realize how tired he had gotten. He tried his best to keep his eyes open, but the more he fought the faster they closed. Within moments he was sound asleep and curled into a little ball right beside her. That night, he dreamed of Pizza... and friendship.

Beside her, Zriracha would give a glance at the bi-colored kitten – her eyes soft and nearly glowing in the effervescent light. As he thanked her, the moment culminating in his little furry body curling into a ball beside her, Zriracha let out a sigh from her nose that sounded almost like a laugh. She looked back out to the horizon, the night embarking upon them as dusk turned into the evening.
Her hand came up, gently giving his ears the smallest of scritches – a private moment between the two as he slept and she thought. He was an amazing student, and even more of an amazing child. There were fewer things that could bring such maternal instincts to bear from one such as her. She’d taken a oath to become a powerful agent of chaos, forsaking the life of a home-maker in spite of how painful the decision was. Surely, if she’d decided to have a child… she imagined they might be as surprising as Whiskers.
She highly doubted it, though, the thought bringing another smile to her as she looked at him and finally responded. “No, little one… thank you.”
