Hazel sighed, her green eyes flitting to and fro as her stomach growled impatiently. She'd gotten so caught up in training again that she'd forgotten to properly eat, and as a result she had to cut her time short in order to find something to tide her over. Unfortunately, being part-Saiyan led her to inherit a voracious appetite and appreciation for almost all foods. The problem was finding enough to eat that was also affordable on her rather strict budget. Even now, the closest decently sized village to her training spot was still quite small. Ginger Village wasn't known for being a bustling tourist attraction outside of the freak attack on it a while back, so their choices were likely limited. To her surprise, the place seemed more packed than what would've been expected, a great deal of other aliens wandering about the streets and shops. About half were of the green variety, though why they were here was a mystery at the moment. With the influx of people came the need to support them all, and vendors from nearby restaurants had begun to set up additional stations right on the sidewalk, providing a neat place to stand and watch how your food was cooked. Hazel's cooking skills were... nonexistent, so it often feel upon her wallet to buy such stuff from other people who actually knew what they were doing.
The one that caught her eye the most was a stand tucked in the corner and relatively unfilled. The cooks there were mixing flatbreads, white meat, and different types of vegetables together along with gooey cheese to make wraps. It reminded her closely of the food she used to eat at home, the wraps more of a necessity due to Konat's inability to grow regular wheat, and imports being far too costly for what they actually gave. Still, though, it was nostalgic and the aroma lured her over in a flash. The battle between frugality and hunger was fought and won in an instant, Hazel caving to the temptation of delicious food as she made it to the front of the line. "Three in total; a chicken pita, a veggie delite, and a spicy special." If the vendor was surprised at her appetite, they didn't show it as they happily took the offered Zeni before doling back her change. Three rather large hot balls of tinfoil later, she was seated on the curb with a mountain of napkins by her side and two bottles of water that a hawker had strolled by with, kept cold by the rolling cooler they lugged behind them.

Eregla's PL: 2,000
Eregla had come to some kind of civilization after wandering around the wilderness for some odd days. She was both relieved and a bit worried that the Earthlings wouldn’t care for her appearance and would attack her outright like Athel or something. She still maintained the hope that they would be generally accepting though. As she wandered through the streets, Eregla noticed that she did get the occasional odd look, but at least some people ignored her. They didn’t seem super scared. As much as it was a relief, Eregla had other concerns. Her stomach grumbled loudly. She grimaced, patting her stomach. Her supplies from her hastily escape had long since been depleted and vanished. She was hungry. She didn’t have the Namekian ability to just subsist off of water. She needed a bit more than that. As she wandered through the town, she caught the scent of cooking food. She followed her nose until she spotted a blue haired saiyan woman sitting on the curb with good smelling something. Eregla stopped and started, her tail swishing from side to side. It struck her after some inordinate amount of time that she probably shouldn’t be staring. She wiped away some drool that had magically appeared on her chin and tried to stifle another loud growl from her stomach. “A-Ah, sorry, miss.” She blushed, embarrassed at herself.

"Hmmg?" Hazel puffed through a mouthful of her first wrap, turning her head to see a... something standing near her. They (sounded like a girl) apologized for something, though she wasn't quite sure what for. Swallowing the oversized bite she had been horking down her mouth, the hybrid at least had the decency to use one of her many napkins to wipe the crumbs and excess cheese grease off her face. "Howdy there. Were you hungry? The line shouldn't be too-" Turning as she spoke, Hazel was shocked to see the line for the stand she was just at completely filled. "Oh. Well. Guess it's long now." Giving a sidelong glance to Eregla and then to her remaining two sandwiches, a hard choice came to mind. Sharing was nice and this cute... girl thing looked like she was hungry too. Still, Hazel was also very hungry and wished to consume it all for herself like the Saiyan she 50% was.
Eventually giving up, she plucked one of the tinfoil wrapped... wraps and extended it out towards the stranger. "You can have this one if you want. I don't really need it even if I really want it. You look way more hungry than I am." It was painful to give up perfectly good food, but this was a good cause! Probably. Maybe this innocent looking girl was actually a supervillain or something, wouldn't that be a twist.

Eregla froze when food was offered. She fought hunger for only an instant, but soon hastened to the kind woman’s side and sat on the curb beside her. She took the wrap as gratefully as she could and peeled it open, letting the scene of food waft out into the air. She chomped down, her tail wiggling back and forth. It was so good! It looked like a purely vegetable based food, which was what she had gotten used to on Namek. After stuffing her face and decimating the wrap, Eregla wiped away a piece of lettuce stuck to her face and bowed her head to the kind woman.
“Th-thank you! I’m sorry, but… I have no money to pay you back with… um.. I’m Eregla though! It’s really nice to meet you, Miss….?”
Eregla trailed off there to let the woman introduce herself hopefully. She glanced around at the stall that the woman had indicated, looking at the line. Hm. Busy here, wasn’t it? It was a lot different from the more communal nature of Namek. She kind of missed it. Everyone put in work and everyone reaped the reward. They could be so hospitable too.
“Are you from Earth? I am, but I… moved away a while ago.”

"Erfm." The girl tried to speak in a muffled tone, swallowing a huge chunk of he initial wrap and wiping her mouth once more with yet another napkin. "Hazel. Nice to meet you, Eregla." Offering a warm smile, the hybrid waved off her concerns. "I wasn't expecting you to pay me back... would've been nice though, I need to check my funds again soon... so don't worry about it. You clearly needed something to eat, while I only very much so wanted something to eat." It seemed the girl liked the veggie wrap, which was a plus. Hazel had a healthy tolerance for vegetables more so than most Saiyans due to her Konatsian upbringing, but they certainly weren't her favored choice of food. "Earth? Nah. I'm from Konats, a big ol' desert planet that most people forget exists. I don't really mind though since it keeps us out of trouble." Yet Eregla claimed to be from Earth, but had located off-world. "So your'e a returning local? Neato. Coming back for any particular reason, good or bad? Earth is always a safe place to go and stay even if you aren't the biggest fan of how they operate the planet and everything."

Eregla tilted her head to the side curiously. She’d never heard of a place called Konats before! She didn’t even think that she really understood what a desert was… She had heard and read about them in books. From what she understood, they were wide expanses of sand with little water and that they tended toward extremes in temperature. It was all well and good to say that, but she had never really experienced anything other than the snowy north and the very temperate Namek with its abundant water. Eregla wondered how people could live in such a place. Well, it did have one thing going for it. It didn’t have a target on its back.
As the topic of the conversation shifted to her relocation, Eregla shuffled a little uncomfortably. She didn’t even know what had become of her adopted home. She was really worried… but hopefully, she could find Uncle Oboe and everything would be alright again. “Well… my adopted world, Namek, was being attacked by some rather terrifying people… I fled as did many Namekians. I’m not sure what’s become of it… but I have hope that things will be okay! I’m looking for my Uncle Oboe. He’s the Guru of Namek. Have you met him? Or seen any Namekians around? They’re green people with antennae like this!”
Eregla pulled both of her green antenna free from her ponytail and showed them to Hazel. She supposed Namekian DNA had its benefits. She could show Hazel exactly what she meant without having to paint a picture. Still, she didn’t love that her mixed heritage made people give her some really strange looks. Hazel seemed nice enough though.
