He had been trying to avoid it for some time but it was getting harder to put of it off any longer, their current resources were all but exhausted in the construction of their new home. They would need to move above the water to collect more resources or they would have to stop all his current projects, this included new housing for all the refugees. He finally relented and allowed his people to mine one of the nearby islands as long as he stayed with them, he refused to let them out of his sights just yet. They were all ex World trade fleet after all and not all would be happy to let of of the old ways of violence, a habit they could no longer afford have here on earth. Gathering as much of their equipment that they could he quickly spearheaded the team that went out in search of resources, the motley crew of troops and workers not inspiring confidence in the Acrosian.
It was not until a few hours later that they found what their were looking for as they flew over a island near their home, them metal deposits where deep but they could be gathered after some effort. It would take a few days to reach it though meaning they would be exposed for several days for anyone flying over, a event that seemed rare enough out here. It seemed that the humans did not spend a lot of time traveling anywhere with a road, a fact that he hoped would work in his favor. Turning to Jek he silently nodded as the man returned to the workers, the young man shouting out orders as soon as he landed."Alright get those drills up by tonight! We want to be in and out before the earthlings know where here! That means double time!" his voiced echoed out around the island. Garruk was glad the man had come to oversee the operation but he himself was unsure if it was a good idea for both of them to be above land like this, if both leaders got in trouble he was sure the fleet would no doubt face a internal crisis over the next leader. Still it could not be helped at the moment and he hoped Greisha could hold down the fort till they got back, the old veteran was no doubt able but she lacked the charisma Jek did. With a sigh he stayed at the highest point on the island and watched for planes just in case.
He hated all this watching as it gave the Acrosian way to much time to think, way to much time to doubt himself and his recent choices. Rather then simply wait and do nothing he decided he would do some basic training while he kept a lookout. At least this way he would not have to keep himself company as time rolled on slowly. Still in his true form the Acrosian began to practice his ki attacks or rather focusing on controlling them better as he forced them to move as he willed them. The small orbs of purple ki the size of a orange circling all around him like a small shield ready to attack anyone that got to close, each one glowing brightly in the night as tried to stay focused on the task at hand.

"Zzz..." The soft snoring of a single girl would've gone unnoticed among the racket caused by the operation nearby, especially when she was hidden rather well in the thickets and underbrush of the tropical ecosystem. Hazel was in the midway of a tree, resting on a thick long with her head propped against a travel bag as she slept, Penn carefully looped around one of the sturdier branches to ensure it wouldn't accidentally be knocked aside. Now for why she was on a random island in the South? That was an entirely different topic. The hybrid had been on a simple exploration trip, bouncing from island to island to see what each had to offer.
At some point after a hearty meal and some practice swings with Penn, she'd grown tired enough to warrant a nice long nap. It was coincidence that she happened to end up on an island with precious minerals in it. The rumbling and shouting eventually stirred the girl away, groggy eyes staring up at the purple and orange hued sky of encroaching dusk. Mumbling in annoyance, Hazel swung her legs off the side of the branch, hand looping around Penn's bracer as she deftly leaped to the floor below. "What's all the commotion about?" Came the question directed at nobody in particular. It was on the other side of the small landmass, far enough away that anyone with a scouter or sensing could've easily missed her relatively low Power Level among the people scurrying about.
Now, with her up and about and starting to move in the direction of the operation, it wouldn't take long for somebody or something to notice the approaching signature appear. It didn't take long before Hazel broke through the foliage, eyes widening a fraction at what she was seeing. "Holy moley! What the heck is going on here?" It wasn't realllly her business to check into weird Earth stuff, but given that it was right next to her snoozing spot, Hazel brought it upon herself to investigate. Unfortunately for her, energy sensing was not a skill among her known techniques quite yet and so the half-Konatsian didn't quite have an idea of what she was going into.

It was not until later in the night that his scouter finally went off, the orange lens pointing to the source of the new ki nearly instantly. And Without a doubt it was not one of their own, his power level while low compared to the higher levels on the planet was still quite high compared to the troops he had brought with him. He quickly turned of his gravity belt and floated overhead as he waited for his device to point out the intruder, his mind wondering just who could this be? He really hoped it was not anyone form the earth's government, he really wished so for his sanity. Its not like he could do anything to the man if it was, he was in fact stealing resources form their planet without their consent and if he really wanted to be allies with earth he would need to win him over. Or rather her he realized as the scouter finally located his target, the small figure creeping thought he dark as it watched his works go about digging. Floating closer he realized she did not seem to be a human in fact, rather he was unsure just what she was. His first thought was Saiyan due the tail but the hair and features where quite different then a normal Saiyan, perhaps humans who had also evolved form monkeys had tails every now and then? But the abnormally high power level and features made him think otherwise as he floated closer to her, his presence now within 30 feet as kept watching her.
She seemed less like a agent of earth and more like one of the random aliens that seemed to frequent the planet quite often. Well he would not find out if he just kept watching so he let himself fall to the earth only a few steps behind her, his large body making a loud noise behind her. "Well hello there stranger! How do you like our camp?" he said slowly, his personality taking great pleasure at finding her and letting her know he had found her. He waited for her to react before he started speaking again "I am Lord Brumal and who might you be? I have yet to see a earthling quite like you before". He gave a small bow as he spoke clearly trying to show he was not a threat despite his some what fearsome appearance. Turning to his men he just waved at them to keep working when they looked to see what the noise was all about, their heightened paranoia making them quite alert for drafted soldiers. He needed to find out who she was and fast, he could not have his first meeting of him stealing form the planet. He wondered if wealth would work at bribing her but judging on her appearance she seemed more like a warrior, the armor and weapon a clear indicator.

"I wouldn't know since I haven't been inside!" Hazel replied immediately, her face not betraying her inner surprise at the sudden appearance of a large and imposing Alien cloaked in some sort of white armor. Eyeing him warily as she shifted about, the hybrid kept a close grip on Penn just in case things got ugly. "Why do ya have a camp set up on this random island instead of like... at a city? The people here are pretty welcoming you know! Well so long as you aren't doing evil stuff." Hazel leaned back a bit as Garruk introduced himself as "Brumal". "I'm Hazel," She chirped back easily. "Not an Earthling. Though I guess both my parents look pretty similar."
"Soooo what are you guys doing out here anyway? You have a lot of people just chilling about, especially with all that space gear and stuff you got going on." She didn't quite recognize "Brumal" or any of his cohorts for their species, which wasn't all too surprising. Hazel was many things, but a walking lexicon on the galaxy's species, she was not. "What even are you?" Came the potentially insensitive question, the thought not even passing the girl's mind as she blurted it out. "I don't know a lot of species, but like you have one of the strangest looks to them yet."

The strangers ability to stay even when surprised was impressive to say the least, even if one was not jumpy walking into a camp like this one would normally put most people of edge. So she was either not afraid which would make her quite foolish or she was hiding it very well, perhaps due to her combat training. He saw the sword and armor that was very unlike the fighting gear among the earthlings, the vast majority of them using guns over martial weapons. Although they did have a few swords they never wore armor, a clear indicator that her words about her not being a earthling being true. Her other statements amused as he decided to toy with her a bit "So you camp while in the city? How bizarre are these earthlings but onto your other question no I am not doing evil stuff. Although what is evil to one is good for another so you might need to explain what evil stuff your looking for". It was clear he was not taking her seriously now that he was no longer concerned about her running to the authority, or being a agent herself.
"It should be simple to understand that most of this equipment is for mining for metal and other stone for construction. Or perhaps I should have brought some shovels?" He replied still teasing as he turned his head to the camp as if listening for a moment. With a scowl he was silent for a moment longer before turning back to his guest to listen to her questions about his looks and race, her curiosity could be understandable if she did not know what he was. However Arcosians where a well known race and the fact the before a girl who had never left home had instantly known what he was made him wonder if this one was perhaps slow or form some backwards planet, mostly likely the latter he decided. " Were are called Arcosians, a race known for our innate power that few can rival. And what of yourself?" he replied after a long moment as he stared back at her wondering just why her tail bothered him so much, it was very familiar to say the least. But he could not put a finger on a tailed race that used gear and weapons like hers. Hell if her race still used such outdated gear how did she leave her home planet?

"It's like a different type of camping where you don't set up outside and on the concrete, but instead go inside buildings and stuff where more permanent fixings are set up for comfort and whatnot. You should try it some time! It sure beats sticking around outdoors, that's for sure." It was hard to tell whether Hazel was playing along with the Arcosian's game or was simply treating him like she thought he didn't know what staying in a city entailed. "Generally, 'evil stuff' on this planet is defined by exploiting or trampling on the lives, wellbeing, or the possessions of other people without justifiable cause. Usually done for self-gain or gain to a specific group that did not receive permission from the authorities." Hazel paused, flashing an inconspicuous smile at "Brumal" before saying: "If you'd like, I can use my Earthling communicator to call somebody down to properly introduce you."
"Yeah, I mean, that stuff is clearly for moving dirt and other things but that generally is reserved for construction or for extracting resources. Usually that doesn't fall to random alien crews who don't even know staying in a city is like." Brumal claimed to be an Arcosian, not offering much besides the species' name and how they were apparently naturally strong. "I'm from Konats." She said, careful in her method of explanation. "We dabble in magic quite often along with technology, so despite what our stuff looks like it can pack a serious punch." Tilting her head, Hazel gave a glance to the gear and workers once more. "What do you even plan on doing with anything you get here? It almost seems like you guys are hurrying to get done for whatever reason." Betraying no obvious emotion, when she looked upon Brumal again a small, seemingly genuine smile was on her face.

He could not blame the woman for not being straight with him when he was also being less then honest. He frowned as he the urge to just attack her and capture her rose up in the back of his mind, his upbringing once again raising its ugly head. With a shake of his head he fought the feeling off, he no longer wanted to follow the old ways of his people. It was those very ways that had brought ruin to his people and more importantly his own noble house, the greedy ways of the other overlords now bringing down what remained of their empire as they vied for the scraps of what was left. No he needed to change himself and anyone who was willing to follow him to make a new home here, there would be no more Acrosian warlords if he had anything to say about. With his thoughts collected he just shrugged and joked back at her "Ahh really? It so much more fun if your out doors though! It really is just such a nice change of pace to get out of a ship after being trapped on one for months. More so when its the planet your getting ready to conquer and all". The last joke was perhaps not a idea due to the fact she might take it as a serous threat rather then the jest it was, even if that was his intention he was no match for the worlds fighters anyways.
"But really we are here for the reasons I said before, we are building a city and are in need of more materials for homes to house all the refugees." He broke quickly before she could take his last joke seriously, his hands waving over to the men working under him. "As you can see form all the mixed races here their are quite a few of them, the recent turmoil the galaxy has experienced has made flee in droves. Even recently the attack on Namek as forced many of the peaceful Namekians to flee their home world due to the recent Saiyan invasion" He explained slowly, his hands pointing one of the peaceful green aliens out for her to see. He hoped to gain her sympathy, her recent behavior made him think she was a bleeding heart or at least leaning in that direction on the moral spectrum. "As you have said we are in a hurry as we are here without permission form the government of earth, the recent events has made their leader difficult to get a hold of. However I could not wait any longer as most of the ships I was using have started to brake down and I refuse to let them die in the vacuum of space." he continued on, his voice level and even though every word. He hoped she would understand and wished diplomacy might win him this battle, his need to remain hidden to avoid diplomatic issues was not something he wish to accomplish by force. It would forever taint what he was trying to do on this world for his people and for the natives of earth.
With a frown Garruk reached up to his scouter yet again as he seemed listen for a moment before nodding, his eyes out of focus as he went over what was told to him by the unknown voice. Looking back at her he tried to gauge just what her thoughts might be, if he had to worry about her intentions or motives. This could very easily come back to bite him he was not careful, the fact he had revealed that their was more then just this small camp made him vulnerable. If caught normally they could pretend to not be associated with the fleet, allowing them to try and plead their case without the fact they were in theory stealing earths natural resources. Really all he could do was hope at this point, his mind wondering if that was how the many races of The trade fleet felt towards their overloads. He knew he did not like it one bit, this feeling of helplessness and the need to rely on someones elses good will did not sit well with him.

It was silent for a moment as Hazel stared at Garruk, an unreadable expression on her face. Then, she shrugged. "Well, it's not like I'm a cop or anything. If you guys wanna do this sort of stuff go ahead, but be warned that other people can easily mistake it for something far worse." At least he wasn't trying to play her for a fool or mince his words anymore, the main thing that had been irritating her. Silent for a moment, something crossed her mind. "It... may have been better to have your fleet land at one of Earth's major cities. I don't think the humans are one to turn away people in need, and it would've been a good place to maybe plead your case and obtain legal permission for other stuff had the need come up." Of course, that was in the past and this was now.
"Though I'll admit, I didn't expect to hear about a Saiyan invasion of Namek. Do you have your facts all correct, or is a few powerful Saiyans doing the dirty work? Misinformation can spread like wildfire sometimes, and it's best to be absolutely certain that things are how they are said to be. Imagine if Earth's government believed that the Saiyan Kingdom had randomly invaded Namek and therefore did something in retaliation?" Hazel was sympathetic, as obviously something had happened to displace all these people, but rushing to conclusions was just asking for trouble. Part of her resolution as a future defender of Konats was to make sure she understand as much as she could when approaching an issue, be it domestic or foreign. Sighing, the girl ran a hand over her braid idly as she simply thought about this whole ordeal. "Well, I'm not going to stop you so... just be careful I suppose. Goodbye for now?" The question hung on the air as she turned, ready to fly off and leave them to their work.
