Whisker's PL: 18,000
In the middle of the Fukurou forest lay an unconscious, very small Hakaijin with torn clothes and scruffy fur. While it seemed his breath was shallow, it was clear he was still alive. Anyone who would approach this scene wouldn't notice anything unusual at first, and yet any person who looked for more than a second would feel that something wasn't quite right. The tops of several trees to the south had been severed and burned by something, whilst some trees to the east and west were completely missing. The most curious and obvious signs, though, were where the poor creature lay. Surrounding him in every direction was scorched grass, leaves, branches and chunks of wood that looked fresh despite that char marks. It looked like a bomb had gone off in the middle of the forest, and the new surroundings were like something out of a monster movie. Yet the birds still chirped, and the squirrels still skittered through the trees as if nothing at all had happened. A few smaller animals even went over to the kitten and investigated it before going on their way again. Inside the mind of Whisker, a scene played out over and over again. Robots came from all sides. His master tried his best to protect him, only to receive a blade through the chest... and the one holding that blade? It was Whisker, with a horrified look on his face. When he would look down at his hands, they were stained with his master's blood. No matter how hard he tried, he could never get it off... and then it goes dark for a moment. When the light returned to his mind, everything around him was destroyed. Replacing his hands were massive claws and disfigured hands. The hands of a monster. This moment haunted Whisker every night, and now as he laid there unconscious, it haunted him constantly. He couldn't even twitch. This was the price of power... The price of losing control. In these woods, there might just be a savior. Perhaps a wandering merchant, or a curious child might come and see him. Maybe they'll be too afraid to approach, or perhaps they'll think he's some sort of alien bent on destroying the Earth. At this point, he could only hope someone would wake him and ask for an explanation, even if it meant they didn't trust him.

"Oh hey look a cat!" Whether it was obliviousness or willful ignorance of the immediate area, Hazel stepped right up to the prone form of whisker with a critical eye. "Hmm. Looks like they got banged up a bit by something." Casting a glance around, the destruction didn't exactly give a clearer idea of what really happened. Shrugging, the hybrid bent over and merrily picked the feline up like one would a toddler, holding Whisker by his midsection with a surprising amount of care. Without a second thought, training was pushed to the side as Hazel made her way back from whence she came, humming a little tune as she made sure not to jostle the seemingly injured cat. Taking inspiration from the hobo-like man Lao she mad me the other day, a small camp had been set up with the help of capsules, Hazel pausing to rest Whisker on a log before slipping inside her tent to rummage around.
The First Aid that came with the whole camping package wasn't really something all that useful for herself as she rarely got actually hurt during training, but it might help to soothe her new patient if applied correctly. After a short time deciding on whether or not cats can get rubbing alcohol swabs, she shrugged, said yes, and set about to try and treat Whisker's wounds. It wasn't anything revolutionary, but the application of some swabs and bandages would hopefully help a little bit. "I wonder what they were doing all the way out here..." She muttered, still trying to piece together what had exactly happened in that forest clearing. Unable to sense energy, Hazel also had no idea exactly how strong this fellow was, simply assuming he was either on par or weaker than her if she was able to so effortlessly carry him.

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker watched in horror as the scene continued to repeat, only speeding up with each time it ended. Eventually, the repeats stopped and Whisker was left alone in a white room that seemed never to end. As he walked forward, his tail drooped. He could hear whispers all around him in familiar voices. When he turned to look around, a figure appeared. It was himself, but... he was smaller... and so scared. Whisker walked up to them and tried to help them up, and even tried to speak and yet... No words came out. No sound came out. The silence was deafening, but at the same time the whispers grew into yelling, and then all together stopped as the smaller Whisker turned his head to the true Whisker and cried. "... How could you let him die? HE WAS YOUR MASTER!"The voices continued louder than ever as he shrank to the ground and covered his ears, trying to shut them out. They just wouldn't stop! As he tried to get back up to ask Whisker to stop, he was gone, and a new person was in his place. It was the boy that saved him from the robot by bringing him into the closet... except he was covered in blood. His eyes were blank as he stared through Whisker and spoke. "You... could have saved me... you could have saved us all... if you had just embraced the monster..." As much as he tried to protect, still no sound came from him. He wept at this point and ran, trying to get as fa away as he could, but the moment he opened his eyes again a new image appeared. It was one of the robots. Whisker closed his eyes and tried to strike at it, but his hand fell completely through it. Then the robot brought one of its hands down. Flinching reflexively, Whisker turned away, expecting to be hit by it. Instead, what he heard was the distinct sound of metal falling to the ground. When he turned around, he saw his Master Tini with a sword in his hand and the robot's body on the ground. He tried to call to him, but still nothing... Tini turned to Whisker, his eyes glowing with rage. "You failed me Whisker. You were supposed to be my strongest student, but you couldn't even help your master take down a few tin cans..." Whisker stood and ran to Tini, pleading with him to forgive him through the silence and the whispers. Then he felt something warm and Tini disappeared. When he looked at his hands, the familiar sight and scent of blood filled the air and the whispers turned to screams of horror. Ahead of him was a corpse in a pool of blood. Whisker slowly approached it, realizing quickly that it was Tini's corpse laying there. He rushed to his side and tried to shake him awake, tried to do anything if it meant saving him. Then all of the sound stopped... and Whisker's own voice could finally be heard crying and begging Master Tini to get up. What he didn't notice was that a horrible beast had begun slowly approaching him from behind. As he cried out more and more, it approached closer and closer, until finally it was right behind him. As it launched its hand down at Whisker, Whisker looked up with his eyes closed and yelled out miserably. "... MASTER TINIIII!"Suddenly rising from his unconscious state in the real world, Whisker yelled out his master's name, panting and sweating, tears streaming from his eyes. Quickly wiping them away, he looked around. … Where am I? How did I get here...? When he saw the camp, he called out before ever noticing the girl that was in it. "H-hello?"

"Kitty is awake," Hazel said seriously, popping her head out and nodding. "Hiya!" She waved from a safe distance away, not wanting to encroach on the Alien's personal space after they just woke up. "I found you passed out in the forest not too far from here, covered in some injuries... sooo I decided to interrupt my training session to bring you back to my humble camp and give you some treatment. I got some canned fish if you want? Oh! Don't think I'm trying to say all cats like fish, either, because it's literally the only thing I have." Her face twisted into one of slight remorse. "It was the only canned food on sale, and I already tire of the salty slippery giblets I consume." Regardless of his answer, she'd slide over a popped-up canteen and half-opened can of 'canned brine fish' for Whisker to enjoy.
"Anhywhas," Came the hybrids muffled words, a few pieces of fish sliding down her throat while the look of near disgust returned. "What were you doing out here anyway? If I had to guess you either got punted across the world by some super strong dude or you had like a transformation accident." She wouldn't have ever assumed the latter before, but with how unstable some of the Alien's forms she'd seen were? It was no longer out of the realm of possibility. Plopping down into a cross-legged position, Hazel finally quieted as she waited for Whisker to process all her blabber and hopefully spit out something coherent of his own that wasn't a "what" or "huh?".

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker blinked at the stranger and tilted his head. So that's what happened... As he stood up, he dusted himself off and bowed to Hazel calmly, seemingly unaffected by his minor injuries. "Thank you for helping me. I'm sorry to cause such a disturbance in the woods." When he lifted himself again he gave a polite smile, though his mind was still vaguely foggy. Before he could cling to his nightmares, they faded from his memory as if they never happened. He looked at the food and picked it up, sniffing it and reeling from it. Phew! That stinks! "T-thank you, but I'm not very hungry... I was out here practicing my transformation... How do you know about that?" Taking a closer look at the stranger in front of him, Whisker noticed her ears were pointed. A Konatsian? "Are you from Konats?" Looking at her tail as well did confuse him slightly. Was she half-Konatsian? If so, what were here parents like? "I haven't quite... gotten control of it yet... It's too dangerous to practice in the city... and It's really hard to remember what happens afterward..." Whisker walked over to Hazel and offered his tiny paw to her. "I'm Whisker, by the way... What's your name?" His smile widened as his situation seemed to disappear from his mind for just a moment. He knew why he was here, though he didn't quite know where "here" was. Still, someone had rescued him after his incident, regardless of whether he would have been okay without them. It was nice to have people looking out for him, even if they were complete strangers. This one seemed interesting, to say the least, and the way they spoke reminded Whisker of someone from his past. Who was it again? Whisker sighed internally and let it go for the moment. He was sure to figure it out eventually.

"No problem kitty," Hazel said in-between varying degrees of grief as she continued to consume the dreaded canned fish. "I don't own the woods either, so I guess if you wanted to apologize for making a ruckus you could go say sorry to the trees. Maybe plant some more, cuz' I think you might have broken a few on your way down." If she had noticed Whisker's adverse reaction to the honestly repulsive fish, she didn't say anything about it. "Lucky guess. Mostly because it seems like every other Alien I run into nowadays has a super-powerful transformation that either makes them super big, angry, or both at the same time." She was lucky enough that the redhead who attacked her had been far far weaker in base form, because just by transforming she managed to match and even slightly outperform Hazel's own power.
"Hm?" Perking up, the girl nodded enthusiastically at Whisker's question. "Sure am! Most of the time I'm the one saying I'm a Konatsian, so it feels a bit weird to actually have someone else know. ...Oh well that and I also got this unusual color and this lil' tail here." On queue, the limb wiggled to demonstrate that it did indeed exist. "I'm actually only half-Konatsian, but I was raised on the planet and it served as my homes for many years." Accepting the pawshake with a few fingers of her own so as to not dwarf the gesture, Hazel offered a bright smile. "Nice to meet you, Whisker. My names Hazel!" Setting down a now empty can, the next target for her impromptu lunch was one of her spare canteens, which the girl uncorked and took a swig from before continuing. "Anyways, if you needed directions back to the nearest city or something, I wouldn't mind helping out."

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker smiled at Hazel's enthusiasm. It would be pretty odd if Whisker hadn't known what a Konatsian looked like considering he was also born and raised on Konats. He was happy to finally meet someone else who used to live on Konats! "I was born on Konats, too! Of course, I'm not exactly a Konatsian by race... but I spent my whoooole life on Konats until... Anyway, what brings you all the way out here Miss Hazel?" The little fur ball dusted off his clothes and folded up his cloak, which was seemingly untouched by the damage he received from his transformation mishap. "Is there a spring around here where I could wash my cloak? I don't want it to get stained. Also um... It looks like you don't like that canned stuff. I can't blame you at all. I could hunt if you wanted something fresh? I'm really good at hunting!"Whisker stood tall and smiled, the scrapes and bruises he received already quickly healing up as they hadn't left much damage to begin with. Whisker looked at Hazel curiously, both eager to receive her responses and because of how familiar she looked. He still couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he was sure he saw someone that looked like her once on Konats. Perhaps it was mere coincidence? He couldn't say for sure whether he was right or not, but he knew she was a Konatsian so there was certainly a chance. He looked back to the trees after listening to her response and sighed. He could already see a little bit of damage from here, as his keen eyes allowed him to see further and in higher detail than many other humanoids. It was both a blessing and a curse, especially when it came to his transformation. The damage he caused was never too far behind him. He bowed to the trees and internally asked for forgiveness, promising one day he would return to fix the damage he caused. "I'm sorry I interrupted your training, I'm sure you were hard at work trying to get stronger. That's what I was trying to do, too. Hopefully some day soon I'll be able to master that transformation..." Whisker looked a little down when he said that, as if he were ashamed that he couldn't yet control his power, but something in his eyes glowed with determination. He wasn't going to give up. He didn't want to fail anyone else like he failed his master. Talking to himself more than to Hazel, Whisker whispered defiantly to his power. "I will beat you... and I will control you."

"Training," Hazel replied simply, following it up with a shrug. "Pretty basic I know." Whisker's somehow undamaged cape had not escaped the wrath of dirt, and the feline asked if there was a place to wash it nearby. "Welll, there's a little crick not too far from here but if you were looking for a thorough soaking you'd have to go an hour's walk in to find any of the larger wells or springs." Of course 'an hour's walk' usually meant a few minutes' flight, but that was still comparatively a fair bit away. At the mention of her fish mishap, Hazel's face scrunched and she threw the now empty can a glare. "I could hunt for fresh stuff myself, too, but I bought in bulk thinking that it'd be a nice change of pace for something cheap. So now I'm determined just to eat it all so I don't feel like I wasted my money."
After some thought, the half-Konatsian tacked on an addendum: "Of course I wouldn't mind something else to eat in the meantime. That stuff isn't really filling, and the thought of downing another can is... terrifying at best." Hazel let the lull in conversation sit, idly running a hand over her braid as Whisker soaked in the sights a bit more. "Don't worry about interrupting me. I am on a dedicated journey, but getting upset over every little thing would be kinda silly." Though it seemed Whisker had more inner contemplation to do, which was odd as Hazel would've assumed the cat had plenty of time for that sort of thing while the whole unconsciousness was going on. Letting the whole whisper thing remain a private comment between him and himself, Hazel cleared her throat. "Anyway... like I said if you needed directions for anything else I got em'."

Whisker's PL: 18,000
Whisker was interested in this journey Hazel said she was on, but was unsure of what she meant. Was she some sort of missionary? Was she trying to find someone? Thinking it would be better to ask, he stood a polite distance away and poked his fingers together shyly. "So um... W-what kind of journey are you on? Are you looking for something? Someone? You don't have to tell me, cause I am a stranger 'n all but i-if you wanna talk to someone, I'm here! You did help me after all. I wanna repay the debt!" Hazel seemed like a nice enough person, one who might not even consider saving someone a task worth indebting another with. Yet she had not only brought him back to her camp without asking for anything, but gave him directions and even offered food. She was certainly a nice person! Whisker's tail flicked curiously. He had an idea that might help them both! "Miss Hazel, do you have a pot? Maybe a bucket?" Whisker looked around the immediate area for edible flora and a stream big enough to fetch water from. He gently rinsed his cloak off as he couldn't quite clean it properly as of yet, but he wanted to clear the worst spots before it stained. When he returned with a bag full of various root vegetables, mushrooms, and fruits, he piled them all next to the campfire in order to organize them, then took everything group by group to the stream. After washing them all to ensure they were safe to eat, Whisker returned to the camp and awaited the bucket so that he could continue with his plot. He wanted to make her food more... edible over a longer period of time, so he came to the conclusion that instead of eating it straight from the can, she could use it to make a "wilderness stew," one of Master Tini's specialties!

"Tis' a journey to get strong!" Hazel declared, flexing her admittedly scrawny arm with a great deal of pride. "I've been traveling about Earth lately to see all the different sights, meet people, and better myself as a fighter so that I may one day protect the hapless! ...Though Konats is and will always be my main priority, seeing as its my home and often doesn't have people defending it like Earth would." It could've been argued that the mechanized scourge was too sudden and swift a threat for off-worlders to respond in a timely manner, but Hazel would be taking no chances when it came to Konats or her last living family on said planet. That's why she trained day in and day out, that's why power was her goal and not... living life. Maybe if she could be the bastion the desert planet needed, nobody else would have to do it.
Whisker darted off, saying something about gathering supplies and asking for her to procure a bucket. "He wants something to hold water in? Sure, I probably got something like that around here..." The girl spun around, digging through some supplies before popping back up with a shiny, average-sized pail in hand. As soon as the feline returned, she held it up like the key to the world's mysteries. "This, is a bucket." Presenting the tool proudly, as if it were something far greater than it was. "There's more!" She said, lifting a finger up. "It's my SPECIAL bucket. I call it 'The Extinguisher' due to the number of times it has faithfully put out rogue fires of various origins due to my questionable camping skills." Tossing it gently towards Whisker, Hazel kicked back for a second. "What're you gonna do with it anyway?" She hadn't failed to noticed that most of the stuff the cat had gathered was edible in one way or another, but wanted to hear it from his own... lips? Mouth?

Whisker smiled as he caught the bucket called "The Extinguisher." "Well, I'm gonna teach ya how to make something better than that stinky ol can of fish!" Charging back off into the woods, he heads back to the stream he found before and uses the bucket to scoop up some water. On his way back, he grabbed a few more wild herbs and nuts to add to his meal. When he arrived, he put the fire on and arranged some sticks to hold the bucket up. Once the water came to a boil, Whisker put in the canned fish, cooking it for a little while before adding the vegetables one at a time, cooking them all for varying amounts of time. Whilst cooking, he ground some of the herbs up and added them slowly. As the smell of the stew built up, it became much more pleasant than the overly salted mess that was in the can before. Finishing up the stew, Whisker took the bucket off the fire carefully and placed it on a bed of leaves to cool down. "Alright! We just gotta let it cool first, then it'll be ready to eat! I thought about what you said about the canned fish and figured you could use a change without wasting all that stuff you bought! Do you have any bowls or something to eat from? We could use the cans if you want, but yeah!" Whisker smiled and prepared to serve the stew he made using fresh ingredients, sniffing and testing it himself before offering some to his new acquaintance. It was very tasty despite the weird canned fish that was used to make it! If Hazel could learn how to make this herself, then she wouldn't have to feel like her investment was a waste after all!

"Technically I didn't make the can- ok bye." Hazel trailed off as Whisker went off into the woods, sitting down and playing thumb war with herself while she waited for the feline's return. Right hand was stronger but left hand was much more devious, and it was always a thrill to see the battle between pure power and intellect. It wasn't long before her guest returned, the bucket of water and miscellaneous stuff in tow. "Oh hey. You picked up more than just some dihydrogen monoxide it seems." Though it seemed dedication was at the forefront of the cat's mind as he set to work, setting up The Extinguisher to boil its contents, adding some fish from the dreaded can along with other ingredients. Hazel was content to let him do his thing, humming softly as she watched the cooking pot with half-lidded interest. She wouldn't complain if somebody managed to morph her salted seafood into something edible.
"You'll probably have to use the cans," Hazel said after a bit. "I didn't pack bowls for the trip unless you wanted to just eat straight from the bucket." She made a face at her own suggestion if it could even be called that in the first place. "Or don't. The cans would be fine. Just make sure to wash them out so the lingering brine and oil don't mix in with whatever soup you made." Servings were served, the aroma a promising sign of the finished product Whisker had made. Sipping at the broth, Hazel had to admit that it was far superior to just swallowing down cold, briny fish straight from the market can. "Thank you very much." Whisker deserved the gratitude, at least. "It's very good. Far better than what I expected my fish stock to ever be able to make, at least!"

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
Whisker's grin grew to a massive smile as the cat's face grew warm from the stew. It really was quite a good meal, despite the less than pristine ingredients that were used. He couldn't help but feel proud of himself. I gotta remember this recipe for the next time I see Plaris and Zira! He spent the next few minutes simply enjoying his stew in silence, before he finally decided to put his can down and look over at Hazel. "Um... If you don't mind, can I ask you a couple things?" Whisker wanted to know more about his unexpected savior, and if she was Konatsian by blood, he was very interested in learning more about her heritage. He waited just a few moments before starting his "Interrogation" of the girl. "You're Konatsian... at least half, right? Where from Konats are you? or... were you... Were you there during the-" He stopped himself. It wasn't something he liked bringing up, but he simply couldn't miss the opportunity to learn more about a fellow Konatsian. "When did you decide to come to Earth? And why?" His questions certainly held nothing back about his curiosity. Every question he asked seemed genuine and like they excited him more and more, as with each second that passed, he lifted himself off his rear end further and further. Finally, he slowed himself down and decided to let Hazel answer the first few questions before asking anymore. He looked down and blushed gently, embarrassed by his questions, the brevity of his words, and the lack of cool-headedness that he displayed. "S-sorry about the storm of questions... I just... haven't met anyone from Konats outside the survivors in my village... It's been a long time since I've seen a stranger from Konats..."

"Of course I do, no questions whatsoever," Hazel replied, taking a bite of soup and then pausing for a second. "...Nah that's a joke, go ahead. I don't have much else to be doing right now, and I guess I should repay you in some way for helping me turn this fish into something pleasant." She didn't really expect the topic to deviate towards Konats of all things, though. "Oh, well... yeah. I'm half-Konatsian. The other part of me is Saiyan." Hazel shrugged as if it weren't a big deal. "I lived in one of the remote villages outside the capital. I doubt you'd have heard of it." For whatever reason, Whisker suddenly had problems articulating just what he was trying to ask. "Erm, well, I came to Earth a couple months ago now I think. I wanted to find a place better suited to train me so I could protect the planet in the future. My dad, he... he's dead because I wasn't strong enough."
Hazel sighed, stirring her broth around. "I haven't seen someone like from Konats before, either. Were you adopted...?" It may have been a rude question, but as far as Hazel knew her home planet was a native place for cat-like Aliens as well. "I guess Konats would make a perfect 'drop off place' for some people," Hazel said bitterly. "Thinking that they can just dump their garbage, prisoners, and orphans here because its a backwater desert that nobody cares about." It was humiliating, how some people treated Konats and its' people as little more than savages. "I'm sure you didn't want to hear my rant about that sort of stuff, though. To get back on topic, yeah, it's been a while since I was home. My mom and the rest of the village is in good shape now, but we won't ever get my dad back."

Whisker's PL This Thread: 18,000
Whisker frowned when Hazel told him about her father. "I'm so sorry about your loss... I was... sort of adopted, yeah. I was left on the doorstep of a dojo when I was just a baby. The Dojo's master, Tini, took care of me and trained me up nice and strong! Well... until about two years ago when he..." Whisker stopped for a moment as Hazel went on about how crude people could be by dumping everything they didn't want on the planet. He didn't know whether that was exactly what happened, but he didn't particularly care either way. The only person that Whisker knew as his family was Master Tini. He was the one who fed him, bathed him, clothed him, and taught him everything he needed to know to one day become a normal, functioning adult. He would have taught him even more if he were still alive. "Wait... Did you say you came to Earth two months ago? From where...? You don't mean..." Whisker stopped, afraid to ask exactly what she meant, but he needed answers. She couldn't possibly have meant from Konats, right? It was destroyed in the incident! There was no way Hazel could mean she came from there two months ago... "I'm sorry... do you mean to tell me you came from Konats two months ago...? That's... impossible right? Shouldn't Konats be destroyed right now? I was there... when it was attacked by the robots! There is no way it survived that! I heard about how the whole planet was destroyed!" Whisker looked at Hazel with a bit of distance and disbelief. Surely she came from elsewhere. He sat down, waiting for her to answer so he could get some clarification. If she really meant she came from Konats two months ago... then does that mean it was never destroyed? Was he lied to? Why would someone lie to him about that kind of thing! Especially his own people! The kitten stared off into space, unsure of whether he really wanted the answer to his question or not. If it turns out the planet is okay, then what did that mean? He could go home? To what, an empty dojo with nobody to care for him? There would be no point... and if it is still gone, that wouldn't change anything at all! He would still be on Earth, training and becoming stronger so he could prevent another calamity like that from ever happening to another planet. Whisker's head was spinning. It began to ache as memories of that day came flooding back. He held back tears as the slight possibility that the planet might have survived that attack gave him hope that his master might still somehow be alive as well... wondering where his disciple went to.
