For Roka the days she had been on earth had seemed to blend together, each day just working away to earn a little bit of money for her next meal. She had several times tried finding more exciting work among the military, police and even some of the small time crime lords that filled the citys. Each and everyone was filled with even more disappointment then the last, each filled with rules or duties that was unacceptable to the Kobo. Paperwork was a big no for the giant Kobo, each and every stop required entire essays for being a police officer that is was a hell no for a career choice. Even then not being able to kill the killers or the requirement to be behave when some little punk was spitting on you was just to much for her. Even going back into the military was not the same here on this peaceful hell hole, their armies barely did any fighting and what little they did where more of hard labor to help the general populous then fight. As much as she hated WTF she missed the constant battles she fought it for them, the simple life of battle and training suiting her much better then this peaceful world.
It was in this slump that the large ginger found a bit of inspiration in the form of a small tattered poster, the edges of the paper were damp and torn form floating around form person to person. It was in such bad condition that she nearly dismissed the poster at a glance, her eyes only barely catching sight of the words mercenary and the picture of the crimson ape at the top of the paper. Reaching down she plucked it off the ground, her eyes scanning the poster for information as a small bit interest formed in the back of her mind. While it sounded like a promising lead for work she was not sure if a mercenary group would be any better for her, the earth was still a peaceful place filled with weaklings. At best she could at least get payed and not have to worry so much about red tape, the lack of paperwork might help as well. With a steady pace she started to head to where it said they were located, a small area on the outskirts of the big city away form the public eye. Its not like it was that it was unknown but the old rule of out of site out of mind seemed to play a big role in this city. In her mind it was not a inspiring start but it could not hurt to keep looking as it was not like she had anything else to do for the time being.
It was only when she finally got close enough to get a good look at the members that Roka's interest reached a peak, the sight of a Saiyan changed everything and much to her delight there were many of them. After her days in the WTF she never would have thought she be happy to see a dirty monkey as they where called but now that she was free it was another story altogether. For this many of them to be gathered together they must have some decent contracts going for them and that meant some exciting battles for her to indulge in. "Hey there! I was wondering if your group is recruiting and if so how does one sigh up?" she asked bluntly, her mind all but made up to join this group if it really was as promising as it looked. Her smile was ear to ear as the Saiyan looked up at her in surprise, the large kobe was not doubt a strange sight on this planet. Even though her race was common for a foot solider for the WTF she looked human enough to pass for one, even if her large size hinted otherwise. The man barely had enough sense to point her further into the camp, his eyes still looking up at her as she made her way inside without another word. She was perhaps excited for the first time since meeting the small cat that beat her at the bandit camp, a figure she had not yet been able to find again to her dismay. Still that was then and now it was time to make a good impression on the leader here, if only to make her name known to what he hoped her new boss.

115,254 PL Why they even bothered to still patrol the perimeter was lost on Parslee. After all, no one from the city had come within an inch of the camp in at least a month now. It was strange and took away what like excitement there was to be had in a job already lacking in it. "At least the weather's nice" Parslee closed his eyes and took a moment to enjoy the spring air. The way it felt on his skin, cool and refreshing, was almost enough to make the boredom worth it.
"Hey there! I was wondering if your group is recruiting and if so how does one sign up?"
Startled, Parlsee's eyes shot open "Shit!" he shouted, ready to open fire on what he assumed was an attacker. He quickly calmed down, however, after realizing what he'd been asked. "Don't sneak up on me like that lady, I almost blasted you." he lectured with a frown. "As for your question..." Parslee folded his arms against his chest and stepped backward. "Hmm." he muttered as he quickly sized Roka up, or at least it looked like that. Parslee really had no idea what he was doing, he didn't even know if the Apes were still recruiting.
"You'll have to talk to the boss if you wanna join. He's around camp somewhere, I'll take you to him." Parslee turned and began to lead the newcomer through the camp.
Currently in the middle of packing up to leave, the inside of the camp was ripe with activity. A majority of the Apes were either capsuling tents or hauling boxes into The Rusted Wrench's docking bay. The few that that weren't doing either task could be seen crowded around a muscular man with a mohawk.
"I know we don't have too many but I need one of you to look over all of our current contracts." Scallio said dryly, "If any of them look like they'll take longer than four or five days, cancel them. Tell the client that we had something unexpected come up, that we apologize and hope they'll still consider us for any future work."
Scallio hated to forfeit work, it was something that always left a sour taste in his mouth. The only reason he was doing it now was because he was eager to leave. Earth had brought Scallio nothing but trouble from the moment he'd landed, he couldn't wait to put it behind him and return to Vegeta's arid shores.
"As for the rest of yo-"
"Um, excuse me boss?" Parslee stepped forward nervously, "I've got someone here to see you," he motioned to Roka "she was asking about recruitment and I figured you'd want to talk to her.
Scallio pinched the bridge of his nose, frustrated by Parslee interruption even if he'd done it for a good reason. "Right, we'll put this on hold for now." he sighed and with a wave of his hand Scallio dismissed his men. "I appreciate your enthusiasm Parslee but don't interrupt me next time." he said, turning to face the man with a frown.
"Right, sorry about that boss."
Scallio shook his head and turned toward Roka to give her a quick once over. She was tall, a couple of inches taller than Scallio himself, and her physique was clearly that of warriors. "You at least look like you could handle yourself, I'll give you that much." but that's all he'd give her.
"Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself, miss...?"

The group certainly looked busy enough with everyone running around packing up, the motley crew seemed quite organized in its efforts to relocate. Still she worried it also might be a sign that there is not enough work to go around, a problem if she was looking to get hired as a extra hand. Still followed Parslee further into the camp, her eyes finally catching sight of a large group around a single Saiyan. Even for Roka it was easy to tell this man was the leader of the camp, with all eyes on him and a striking appearance even among the mercenaries this Scallio was easy to pick out. Her suspicions were confirmed as they got closer, the man was clearly giving the orders as they approached within ear shot. She had expected to wait a bit before talking to him but to her surprise Parslee interrupted him, his words causing a frown to form on the boss's face within moments. It was not the best start when the boss was already irritated before you even had a chance to talk to him, lucky for her it did look like it was only fleeting as he turned to her much to her relief.
When his question came up on about her past she silently cursed herself, with all the effort she had been doing to find work she had never really thought of what to say if she got it. She was pretty sure that this group unlike the WTF would not turn her away or capture her for her mutation so honestly was better then lying about it, it was all likely she would be forced to use it at some point. With honestly chosen for her course of action she raised her hand and smiles before giving her reply "Roka Sir and just Roka please. Kobochan and ex military for the WTF so as you can guess employment is rather difficult for me". Now that she had gotten the basics out of the way she needed a way to explain the mutation without causing to much of a fuss, not that most mercenaries would hold it against her anyways. With deep breath she relaxed and forced the change to the surface, a task that was always so much more difficult when she was not in a fight. However slowly her size started to increase till she was just over 8'4 feet tall and her skin turned a dark crimson color, her veins bulging out for anyone to see even at short distance away. "I doubt its a problem for you but I was discharged so to speak for a mutation, it should not be a problem in battle. Quite the opposite in fact! So as long as you can keep me on the front lines and not filling out a bunch of paper work I see no problems coming form my end if you hire me." she explained, her words slow as she tried figure out just what she wanted to say to him. Really she did not even care to be paid all that much as just getting to fight while being fed was for the most part enough for her, sure it was nice to have spare cash on hand but not necessary for her.
With that all being said she looked at the camps members some more taking in the races that surrounded her, a smile hitting her face as she saw quite a few of her own race here. It would be a good distraction and it spoke wonders for her chances at being accepted despite her race often working for the WTF back in the day. She did wonder about the captains own powers but until she got a scouter she would have no idea really so for now she just wanted to focus on training. For now she needed to get more strength if she ever wanted to face some one like the ex general she had met, a good reminder that she really was only stronger then the cannon fodder really. "Oh one last thing I been asleep for a few years so I am not up to date on much of anything so you might have to explain the galactic politics at a later time" She said after recalling her lack information about anything recent.

115,254 PL "Former Fleet huh?" now that was interesting and something Scallio hadn't expected to hear. Not that it impacted her chances of recruitment one way or the other but he did enjoy the irony in the situation. Ex-Fleet coming to a Kingdom ally seeking employment, it had this bitter-sweetness to it that almost made him grin. "Well, you should know that our biggest source of revenue at the moment is the Saiyan Kingdom. That shouldn't be an issue for you should it?" he didn't think it would be but it was better to be safe than sorry.
Roka transformed, demonstrating her mutation as she called it and Scallio raised an eyebrow. The massive size and bulging veins reminded him of technique that he'd seen a few fighters use. Still, despite the similarities Scallio could tell that this was something different than the technique he was thinking of. "I have a few Kabochan's amongst my crew but none of them have display anything like this before." he was curious as to what about Roka made her different.
"Don't worry, assuming you do join our ranks you won't have to worry about paperwork. You're very clearly a fighter and besides either myself or my partner handle a majority of it anyway." it was really mostly Narissa. She was far better at all that stuff than he could ever hope to be, without her aide he'd probably up to his neck in the stuff non-stop.
Scallio sighed, slightly peeved that he'd have to give a rundown of recent events to yet another person. It had taken forever to explain everything to Auber, but at least Roka could wait until after he'd decided to recruit her or not. "If you have what it takes to join the Crimson Apes, I'll answer whatever questions you might have." Scallio paused for a moment to think. "Normally I'd test your abilities by having you handle a contract with ones of the Apes but since we're in the middle of finishing most of them up. I'll just have to test you myself." plus doing it this way would be quicker as well.
"How does that sound to you?"

His surprise at her being ex fleet worried her for a moment but after he started explaining about the Saiyen kingdom being their backer the worry quickly melted away. While it would be a change of pace to work as a fighter for the kingdom it really did not bother her, even with most of her missions form the trade feet being pitted against them. Hell maybe she could even get a few extra fighters in when stationed at a Kingdom base, non lethal sparring matches of course but some extra fighting non the less. She was just happy he did not hold her being ex fleet against her, it was a common thing even in the trade fleet itself and she could not blame them. Her job had been to kill off entire races and then sell their planets after all, a job that was about as dark as it could get. Hell she could even say now that was in fact becoming one of the good guys or at least better morals as a mercenary. "No it really does not bother me who we work for really as long as they keep the battles going and money I think I can deal with it. Although if you take any jobs form the trade fleet try not to mention me if you can. Ill still work if that is what happens but its less likely to cause problems" She replied happily, her voice taking a slight bit of concern at the part about the trade fleet but still over quite happy.
"ahh Yeah its a mutation so I think I am the only one who could do it? Not one hundred percent sure but I have never seen another do it. Transformations that increase power generally garner attention" she said as she agreed with him not seeing it before. In truth she already knew it was one of a kind or they would not have locked her up to experiment on otherwise, the desire for stronger troops has been quite strong in the trade fleet. Still with all that said she was quite happy that she would not have to do any paper work, it really was the bane of her existence if only do to her rather forward nature. We found Saiyans on planet 13 and engaged them did not make for a good report apparently. Most of the time she had one of her fellow soldiers do the report for her, the promise of good food or her protecting them enough convince them of the extra paperwork.
His final words did more then excite her as she realized she really had a shot at joining the new mercenary company, the commander going so far as to even allow her have a match against him. Her sixth sense told her she could not hope to win but the thought of fighting someone stronger then her did more then excite her anyways, the edge of danger always making her blood lust spike all the more. Plus with it being a test of strength she knew she had a good chance at least impressing him a little, her power was far above a trade fleet trooper. Still this man could only want the best so it was best if she did not pull any punches just to make sure she got in, maybe she might even get a higher rank for more pay? At the very least she would enjoy it all after the weeks of boredom, the natives of earth not at all being very strong. "Ohh that sounds like a great idea! I am not much for talking anyways so how did you want to do it?" she asked clearly interested if the look in her eye was anything to go by, in fact she probably looked all to happy to slug it out with him. ======================================================================================================

115,254 PL "I don't attend to hold back just because this is a spar." Scallio said, the serious tone of his voice was matched only by the stern expression on his face. "If you want to last more than a few minutes then I suggest you do the same." he figured going all out was the best way to see the limits of her abilities. Besides, as a fellow warrior and potential Ape she needed to experience his full strength, without Super Saiyan that was. "As for how we'll be doing this, it's simple. We'll fight until I feel I've got a good grasp on what you can do or you give up, whichever one comes first." he doubted that the latter of the two options would actually happen.
Scallio prepared himself to fight, stretching his arms and legs before assuming an offensive stance. His feet were spaced evenly apart, no more than two or four inches of space between them and his arms were at his side, his elbows bent and fists at the ready. "I like that look in your eye." he said, having finally taken notice of her excitement. Scallio had seen that look before on a small number of his men, it was hot and bright, dangerous, like the tip of a candle and it was always a good sign.
"Let's see what you're made of!" he was a blur of motion, hardly noticeable as he dashed forward and closed the gap between himself and Roka in less than a second. In that same amount of time Scallio had managed to connect with his Oozaru half. He channeled the slumbering beast's power into his left fist and attempted to slam it into Roka's stomach from an upward angle. Assuming it landed, the concessive blast released from the impact was intended to send the Kabochan flying upward into the sky, at which point Scallio would then dash into the air and position himself in her path. Unleashing a salvo of energy blasts against her back that would send Roka crashing back towards the ground for a painful impact.

She was looking forward to this match bit to much perhaps, it was a chance to see what the boss of the crimson apes could do, she hated serving under those weaker then her but had plenty of experience with it at the World trade fleet. The weaker commanders tended to get the rank due to nepotism rather then talent, leading to poor decisions on the battle field. She would either be beaten by her new commander here or she would look for another to follow, her smile growing wider as she adopted her own fighting stance and let her powers go. The blood pumping adrenaline that came with her transformation always seemed to get her battle lust going, her heightened emotions increasing her aggression to a near reckless state. His words making her mentally swear that she would not be surrendering even if it killed her. Placing her feet forward as she prepared to rush forward, her reckless fighting style leaving her wide open to attack for any experienced fighter.
A opening that was surely exploited as Scallio rushed her, the Saiyan's speed easily outpacing Roka's as he connected to the Kobo's unguarded stomach lunching her into the sky. The strike to her stomach sending a nauseating feeling though her whole body, her breathing leaving her chest as the sky rushed by her. It was at that moment she realized her mistake, the man before her the real deal instead of the weaklings that leader the trade fleet. A man that had earned his position and someone to be respected, at least as far as battle went. Her thoughts being interrupted as the pain in her stomach was quickly joined by another pain in her back, the large woman unable to follow what had happened as she saw she was rushing to meet the earth again. This was not how she wanted to prove herself to the crimson apes, her first moments of the fight as nothing more then a punching bag for the Saiyan. With a unintelligible curse Roka righted herself mid decent, her feet making contact with the ground only for a moment before she shot off into the air again. The smoke not even clear before she broke though it again, the tall amazon letting out a battle cry as she closed in on her target.
She had barely had a chance to see the man when he had struck the Kabo, a fact not lost on Roka as she tired to get in close to take advantage of her large frame and brute strength. Still going in with everything Roka took heavy swings, each strike leaving her open for another shot to the torso as she waited for her chance. Her own energy was gathering in her right hand for a Red riot, her primary attack as she waited for one of Scallio's attacks to connect with her, the tall fighters plan to trade blows with the Saiyan rather then fight a battle of speed.

115,254 PL Scallio took note of how quickly Roka managed to correct her positioning and halt her descent amidst his hail of ki. It was a point in the Kabochan's favor and if not for how open she'd left herself during her charge toward him, he'd of given her another one. The heavy swings from her attempts to hit him were sloppy and Scallio should have exploited them for the openings that they were. But instead he dodged, ducking and side stepping out of the way of each punch effortlessly, an unimpressed look filled the Saiyan's eyes. Out of the corner of his eye he took note of the energy that begun to build in her right hand.
"That's more like it." he thought, finally taking advantage of the opening from one of her swings to counterattack but he stopped short of actually making contact with Roka's stomach. Scallio had given her the opening he'd thought she'd been waiting for and as expected she didn't waste it. Scallio felt Roka's supercharged fist connect with his midsection and while his armor absorb a majority of the recoil from the punch. The impact of the blow still managed to send him sliding a few inches back and away from Roka. Scallio straightened himself out and examined the small cracks that had formed on the surface of his armor.
The Saiyan sighed and then looked to Roka, "Impressive but sloppy." he said with a frown. "I know you left yourself open on purpose but you shouldn't have. Even if it did secure you a hit, it was a stupid play." Scallio lectured, "Against someone weaker than you it might be worth the risk. But I'm not weaker than you, something you know and yet you still made such a risky move. If this hadn't been a spar and you'd given me that opening? Well, you'd be lying on the ground dead right now." the mercerny scowled as he finished. The power behind her attack had still been noteworthy and it gave him a basic idea of her potential but he needed to see more.
Scallio held his arms at his side and formed two spheres of energy in the palms of both his hands before dashing backward several feet. Bigger than your typical spheres of ki and with dark-oranges flames encircling them, the Saiyan flung the energy forward. Scallio then continued to fling the same burning ki at Roka with an increasingly rapid pace. In a matter of seconds Scallio had filled the sky with a massive ocean of miniature suns, that threaten to rain down on the Kabochan like meteors falling from the stars.

Roka for all her fury had noticed the Saiyan pull his punch at the last moment, the woman's face twisting in scowl as she instinctively went for the opening he provided. She had been expecting to take a hit, a fact that nearly sent her into confusion for a moment as the Saiyan voiced his observations. It was not entirely wrong and for most a trade like that would be a bad idea, however Roka was also aware she was not nearly as fast as most fighters her level. Her power allowing her to win exchanges by simply being a stronger brute and it was a fighting style she had developed to compensate for her sluggish nature. It was not that she was slow really but her reactions were always just a tad bit late in allow her to dodge, rather then try she had simply learned to time her attacks to their own.
Still it was impressive that he had tanked her attack like it was no big deal, the Saiyan showing no real sign of taking any damage form her attack. It was a clear sign that he was much stronger then she realized, her normal brute force style was not gonna work here. Until recently she had always held the advantage in her fights, the ogre of a woman standing over the opposition, a monster on the battle field. However she knew he was holding back, her experiences with saiyans making her understand their great ape transformation was no small boost of power. The fight was already over, it was now simply a fight to prove herself to the Saiyan leader.
Watching the flaming ki form in his hands, a grin formed in her eyes as he braced herself for a moment.Closing her eyes for a moment as she took a deep breath, her rationality returning to her as she started to gather her energy again. She would at least face this attack with her all, the tall Kabo gathering enough energy to fire off another Red Riot. Compressing the small orb in her hand she built up her energy to unstable proportions before she finally lunched her attack, the small crimson sphere barely bigger then her fist shooting off at Scallio as every inch it traveled seemed to make the attack grow larger. It was not until it reached Scallio's own attack that the crimson orb exploded, the attack scattering like a shot gun at his meteor bombardment that the sky was engulfed in miniature explosions, the crimson and orange ki of the two creating small suns across the horizon.
With his attack naturalized the Kabo let go of her transformation, her size returning to normal as she looked up at him again a smile on her face. At least in terms of power she was close enough to make him, at least at this stage of his. Crossing her arms she waited for him to come closer before shaking her head with the smile still glued on her face "Alright I think that is a good place to leave it don't you? If we keep going one of use is gonna end up hurt and it is most likely not gonna be you." she said with a chuckle. It was a interesting fight to be sure and it had cleared up a few of her weakness for sure, the tall Kabo shaking her head at her own weakness.
