The fledgling Super Saiyan was unsure of whether or not to feel good or worried about Carro's apparent reluctance in attempting to show the method behind what he believed to be his madness in killing Kalabas. On one hand, now they could focus on much more important things rather than having moral standoffs- as there was much more bigger fish to fry than a topic that happens to be incredibly situational in question. Situational as killing is an incredibly last resort type of topic, and so the situation you must find yourself within in order to even consider such a way out is incredibly specified, or at least that's what Dion thought. You can't just go around killing people you deem evil all whilly nilly, you not only bring yourself down to their level, but also bring your own moral compass into a very gray area- where it is much harder to return to a path of lighter color than it was to fall into a steep and nearly immediate downward spiral into further cruelty. No one had the right to play god in such a way. He was sure though that neither of the two currently present would actually be in any danger of falling into such disarray though, so, that wasn't too big of a deal.
On the other hand, however, this would most likely mean that Carro himself would continue to take the bulk of the blame onto his already stacked back- and Dion was not exactly thrilled to see his already stressed presidential pal undergo further strain. But, of course, as it was with himself as well, Carro wouldn't ever let it show- not even to Dion, he didn't think, the full measure of just how much of this chaos he had taken under his care. In fact, the only person Dion thought would be able to see the extent of his mental, and emotional, struggle, was Leo. And he's already asked many a favor in even her allowing for him to see Carro in such a position- thankful that she didn't simply send him straight back to bed- so he'd have to ask her about him later.
As they continued forward, a slight pang of guilt hit Dion in the heart-place somewhere within once he realized and recalled just how exactly his little robit friend got to where he was presently. Which was of course, by being slaughtered at the hands of a Super Saiyan. Realizing right afterward in tandem that he may or may not have PTSD-like tendencies from such a life changing event, he's definitely showcased some of the symptoms of such a disorder (even with him being not as organic as most, a testament to his inherent humanity, then?), the bartender patted him gently on the knee, saying in a sheepish tone, "S-sorry about that Carro. Got a little fired up there. Bit insensitive of me, I'll be sure to reel it in when discussing stuff like this. Looks like I'm still learning to restrain this new power of mine.."
Which was true- within the blond battler state, Dion's emotions were found to be much more volatile than that of his regular base's own emotional status. He did see this sort of coming- as emotional strife was the name of the game when it came to winning this prize of golden gilded power, but, he never realized it'd impact him this much. This did tell him, however, in a perhaps indirect manner, that there was a way to perhaps master such volatility- but of course, that could come much later. There was more to the form than just the surface he has barely managed to scratch. Perhaps he could ask Carro for some assistance in utilizing its potential in a later training session...?
Putting those thoughts to bed for a little while, Dion frowned- his feelings of idiocy toward morality bubbling just below the surface once again as Carro began to slightly disprove his gut feeling of humanity within Scallio through the fact that he's already threatened lives like this before. That, didn't seem to make sense to him though. For the thrill and the money? That wasn't at all the vibe he had gotten from Scallio when he had hesitated in taking a possibly even guilty life back on those mountaintops not so long ago.
"Are these firsthand accounts you're getting this reports from? Or secondhand, and heard from someone else?" Dion asked immediately as his skepticism remained hot. "I'm telling you Carro, if he wasn't even the slightest bit saveable, he wouldn't have even hesitated in trying to take Aurora's life that day. Yet he did. He spared someone who for sure was most likely guilty of some wrong against him in some way. I can't see how that very same guy could terrorize a simple town for the rush and the money."
Sighing, and deciding that he really didn't wish to fight such an uphill battle currently as he was already spread thin across multiple fronts, he also mentally laid that topic to rest for a bit, focusing on the more political part of it as Carro mentioned Kayen- who also happened to be of royal descent just as Nashua was.
Which raised now two questions that came to mind.
"W-wait, Kayen as the Queen also has a job to keep tabs on all the people of our race? That's how I interpret what you just said, at least- or does she just have a job of keeping an eye on the more troublesome ones? Not necessarily all of our people? And, what'll happen to Arcose now that Nashua is gone then as well-? She was a Queen as well, and from what I remember, it was of Arcose, so what'll they do now without proper leadership? She may not have been the best liked of rulers, but, she was a ruler nonetheless.."
While he didn't like racial bias getting in the way of his better judgment, the thought of a leaderless Arcose with Arcosians ready to retaliate against the warrior race for holding them under forceful rule was not a thought he wished to become reality. They had enough problems as it was, a galactic war of epic proportions was not something he wished to have stacked upon his plate.
Before he continued, Dion also decided to touch upon Chime for a quick second, asking in a more embarrassed tone, "A-also, how is that Namekian dude doing after I, kinda, yknow...I don't really know him at all, but he seems to be a pretty big deal from what I can deduce..."
And just as he also felt his repeated approaches almost crack through Carro's stubborn nature, he let out a tired sigh just as the topic was switched to his advantage- his progress now yielding no results to both Dion's and Leo's disappointment just as he switched the spotlight back onto him. Realizing that he wasn't going to get through to him now, but could very well be able to in the future, Dion went with it reluctantly- shrugging as he managed a signature grin of his as he said, "Well, the only reason why I didn't come up here using my own two feet was because I didn't have a wonder of a clue where the heck you were at-! I'm sure even without Leo's intervention I woulda found you sooner or later. And, besides."
A more somber tone overtook his words once more as he continued, "If I am to become the protector everyone sees me as, and as the one that I wish to be, then, I can't afford to miss a single step. I'm ready."
"Please. Don't make me go back to that medical wing."
