Yogu felt rather nauseous, as he materialized onto the lookout. " Oh- OH GOD WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" There was a bright flash of light, and suddenly he was on the lookout. What had he just been doing? How the hell did he get here? " Uh... Hello?" No answer. Looking across the flat top of the lookout, it almost felt like he was in a void. He couldn't sense any energies, at least not any he recognized. " HEY! Whatever demon that's fucking with me, could ya NOT?! I'm tryin' to actually GET OUTTA HELL! ...Assholes..." There was no way he was actually at the lookout. It couldn't be that easy. Some demon magic was just making him think he was back. In the "real world", there was probably a demon eating his soul or something. Oh well. Yogu flew over to the main building and took another look around him. Empty. Quiet. He never realized how creepy and lonely it felt on the lookout when there was no one around. A chill ran down his non-existent spine. " Alright, keep eating me or whatever demon, I'm just gonna see how close this fake lookout is like to the real thing!" Yogu kicks open the door and starts his journey into the depths of the lookout! And by journey into the depths of the lookout, I mean stopping at the fridge, grabbing a Hetap, and throwing himself on the couch. " There better be somethin' good on TV, ya stupid DEMON!" And there was! Yogu's favorite show, the name of which he always forgets. It was about this Majin home designer fixing up old, crummy houses. " I'm strangely alright with this being how I die. Getting eaten by a demon in a dream world watching shows about home and gardening. It feels... Fitting." But he wasn't in some dream world being eaten by a demon. He had just involuntarily came back to Earth, and right after the battle on the mountains had wrapped up!

By the time Chime returned to the Lookout, he was exhausted. How long had it been since he'd left? Only a day, two at the most, yet it felt like an eternity. He was a different person than he was the last time he'd touched down on these tiles. The reasonable thing to do would be to go to his room, lay down, get a good sleep and recover. Naturally, that wasn't what Chime was going to do. Kami always had a new problem to take care of, and today it was whatever was happening with Oboe and Namek. The Guru had said something bad was happening on their home planet, but he wasn't sure what. Chime shut his eyes and prepared to reach out telepathically to find Oboe, wherever he may have gone...
Something else reached his senses first, a powerful energy significantly stronger than his own. Chime instantly went on high alert. The source of the energy was inside the Lookout. In his right hand he materialized a metal club, and in his left he readied an orb of pulsing blue ki. Otherwise, he kept his power level low, to try and take whatever was waiting inside his Lookout by surprise.
If the rest of the day hadn't been what it had been, and he wasn't so shaken, he would have recognized the familiar energy from the start. But the day had been the worst of his life, and his nerves were fried, so Chime didn't realize who was in the Lookout until he laid eyes on him. He burst through the living room door, prepared to attack the intruder... but then he saw the semi-transparent person sitting there, innocently watching a gardening show. The ki in his hand flickered out and the club fell to the floor with a clang. Chime stood there frozen in shock. Could it really be...

Finally, the show started getting good. They were just about to get into discussing the prices for remodeling the kitchen! And that's when someone busted through the door, sounding like they were about to attack Yogu! He wasn't exactly worried though, slowly turning around to see... Chime? He took a very long, loud slurp from his hetap as he watched the Kami stare in disbelief. " Man, you can make people show up too demon? Crazy. It almost looks like the real thing too." Yogu turns back to continue watching his show. Not looking back, Yogu yells over his shoulder, " Yo fake Chime! If you aren't doin' anything, can ya grab me another hetap out of the fridge? This one's almost empty- Ya know what, I'll just get it. You seem busy over there short-circuiting." He climbs off the couch and walks back over to the fridge, grabbing another hetap. But as he held that hetap, he began to think. What kind of demon makes illusions like this? Especially ones this good? With people? And come to think of it, that really looked like Chime back there. And the hetap definitely tasted and felt like a hetap. "Ah, shit. I actually got out of hell, huh?"
Yogu slowly walked back into the room where he had left a shocked Chime. He stared at the Kami from across the room, with the tv show becoming a static white noise. He cracks open the hetap and takes another loud, long sip from it. " Sup? So uhh... Anyone else bite the dust that I don't know about or was it just me, Nashua, and Vocado? Oh, and sorry for stealing some hetaps. I'll replace them when I get some zeni. Also how long have I been gone? I think time moves different in the afterlife. Feels like I've been there for months."

Chime was rooted to the spot. That strange hollow feeling that had hit him near the end of the battle, the one that he'd squashed down in favor of action, returned. There was no action for him to take now, nothing to fight, so he was left with the sensation of being a passenger in his own body. Not quite watching himself from the outside, but disconnected from what was happening. He didn't really register that Yogu had walked out of the room until he re-entered. Yogu had asked a question, hadn't he? Chime couldn't hold onto what it had been.
Slowly, almost of its own accord, his body began to move. Chime shuffled across the room towards Yogu, and as he did, his mind swirled with a tempest of thoughts. How was Yogu here? There had been nothing of him left after that suicide attack. Was Yogu beyond true death now, in his ghostly state? Was something like that only a minor setback for him? The idea of someone simply springing back after something like that was baffling, but he'd seen stranger things in the last day or two alone.
He might not be real said his mind, the dark part where his doubts lived, Maybe this is a dream. Or maybe you've lost it.
Chime was only an arm's length away from Yogu now. He reached out to grasp at the semi-transparent fabric of his shirt, and his fingers made contact. It felt odd, not like clothes on a usual, living person, but it felt like something. It was more detail than his mind could make up, sleeping or otherwise. He stared at his hand, twisted into a fist in Yogu's shirt, as he spoke in a dull, disbelieving tone, "... The hetaps are Daruma's, don't worry. It's only been a day, maybe two. How..." His eyes flitted up to Yogu's face for a brief second, then back down to his shirt, "... How are you here? You were gone, there was nothing left of you, I saw--" Chime's words choked off pitifully and he ducked his head. Now met with the barest of good news, the weak hold he had been keeping on his composure these last hours was slipping.

It took Yogu a minute to realize that Chime was in distress at the sight of him. He had just been standing there sipping the hetap while the Kami grabbed onto his shirt and talked. It wasn't until his godly pal started to break that Yogu sprang into action, " Oh-oh, Chime... Okay, couch time buddy! We're gonna sit on the couch, come on!" Ghost boi guides Chime over to the couch and sits him down, while he floats in the air, just above the couch. Yogu knew he should probably say something before Chime snapped and started crying. But he didn't really know what to say. It took him a minute to digest what Mr. Guardian of Earth had said. He had only been gone for a day or two, that's good. That meant he hadn't missed some horrible event like the mountain. Well, as far as he knew. Things seemed to be moving quicker and quicker. Like it was all about to reach terminal velocity and Earth would crash and burn horribly. Okay, time to say something. " Well, I guess I don't take to going away too easy, eh? I'm kinda stubborn like that. Heh heh... I won't lie, back when I was doin' that I was sure I had deleted myself from existence or something like that. Maybe this is like, my last life or somethin'... Heh." Yogu's face dropped, and his semi-jokey demeanor went away. " What's important is that I'm here, yeah? Everything's gonna be okay, got it? Now I need you to focus up here Chime. You need to tell me what happened, what I missed, general status report, yeah?" Yogu took a deep breath and braced himself. If he was being honest, he was expecting the worst-case scenario. That somehow Vocado's lackeys had managed to kill most of the people there, maybe Carro got dismantled, maybe Oboe got killed, hell, let's even throw in that Namek got blown up! " Hah! Fat chance that'd happen." But those other things were scarily believable. He needed to be ready for that news to hit him. Not just for him, but for Chime. They needed someone to act all tough and unfazed by all this horrible shit. And if Yogu was the only option, he'd do his damnedest to keep everyone's wits about them. Everyone that's left, at least. But deep down, he knew he wouldn't be. He was a tough, stubborn cookie, but he wasn't that tough. If any other good people had ended up dying, it would break him. His mind was completely scattered now. " Oh yeah, and the dragon balls are fine right? Everything'll be fine... Just gotta make sure we got those things... Then everything's fine..."

Even as Yogu steered him over to the couch, Chime kept a vice-grip on the ghost boy's shirt. His breathing came in jagged, uneven gasps, the tell-tale sign of someone trying not to cry. But he was the Guardian of Earth, dammit! He was Kami! Gods didn't cry, they kept it together and answered everyone's prayers. They were stronger than this. Chime's gaze remained squarely forward as he tried to compose himself again as Yogu chattered away above him. He said something about being stubborn, and it almost, almost made Chime chuckle. Being too stubborn to truly die, that sounded like Yogu alright. Chime felt like he knew the Earthling-turned-ghost pretty well by this point, despite the fact that they had never had a conversation that wasn't about... well, this sort of thing. Dire world-ending business. There was something about nearly dying beside someone (or actually having them die beside you) that was a bonding experience.
Yogu's voice prompted him to look up, and so he did. He met Yogu's eyes with a pained expression that gradually solidified itself into the stony facade he'd been wearing more and more these days. That facade was starting to crack now, but he would do his best to maintain it all the same. Chime began to tell Yogu everything that had happened, and his voice took on that same dull tone as before.
"...Well, I think the whole planet felt your attack. You left a new canyon through the North. ...Also Nashua. She's dead. Vocado got the last blow on her, really, I... I don't know if I could've saved her. I didn't get to try, I couldn't..." His facade cracked a little more and his voice warbled for a second, but then he reigned himself in and continued, "...Vocado is dead, too. Carro and LEO killed him. There was some undead monster terrorizing people back inside the mountain, some kind of huge ghost. I think it used to be a person, but I don't know. Carro took care of that, too. I tried to, but some righteous idiot got in the way."
Chime shook his head, "There's... something wrong with Namek, too, but I'm not sure what. Oboe was upset, but I lost track of him. I need to find him again." He finally released his deathgrip on Yogu's shirt and leaned back into the couch. Chime was far from alright, but he seemed a fraction more himself than when he sat down, "As for the dragon balls, we have four of them. I don't know where the other three are. I sort of forgot to look for Vocado's, with... y'know, everything."
He looked back up to Yogu, his brows knit with concern. There'd been a lot of talk about the general situation, but... "What about you? How are you doing after... that."
