Sometimes he missed home.
It was inevitable, interspersed between fitful bouts of wanderlust that drove him to traverse all of the known cosmos, a melancholic nostalgia for Arcose would sweep over him.
He missed his family despite never having gotten on well with any of them. The simpletons. But they were family, the only family he had. He had no allies to speak of, and since arriving on Earth, he'd done little else but get into senseless altercations with the natives.
Yet as he hovered in mid-air amid the gray blanket of storm clouds sweeping through Yunzabit Heights, such a cold and barren waste could do naught else but remind him of the home he'd left behind.
Storm-grey clouds rolled in on deep rumblings of distant thunder. For miles around, the landscape boasted nothing more than towering rocky outcroppings and sheer cliffs adorned with verdant fields of grass that bent and swayed beneath the heavy caress of stirring winds.
It was far more green than he preferred, but replace it with nothing but frozen lakes, icy tundras, and wintry beasts that hunted each other for sport and nourishment and it was Planet Arcose in a nutshell.
He let a discontented sigh slip from his lips in a rare moment of vulnerability. His beady eyes shone with more than a hint of sadness.
"I don't know why I should ever miss that accursed planet. Arcose... you brought me nothing but pain, misery, and a humiliatingly low birth. Some day, before I pass from this world, I'll destroy you myself."
Caught up in his reverie, Draft would fail to notice any other surprise visitors approaching his position.

"I would rethink that particular course of action, if I were you." Came a voice from behind Draft. Should he turn, he would be greeted by the sight of Aurora Arctos floating behind him, arms crossed and her perpetual slight frown well set in place. "I have dedicated a rather significant portion of my life and effort towards freeing my home from Saiyan rule, and if yet another Arcosian tries to destroy our ancestral home out of some perceived wrongdoing made by rock and ice, I might just start questioning if it is really worth all the time I have put in." Ruby red orbs meet oceanic teal as the most powerful Arcosian in recent history stares down one of her own people, an unamused expression upon her face. "I garner that you were not, in fact, on Arcose during the battle between the Saiyans and that mad man Aizu." Her tail swishes in the cool air, even as the ambient effects of both her aura and her magic began to make the temperature around the duo plummet downwards. However, despite this, she was not gearing up for any sort of fight or confrontation. It was merely something that occured when she was reminded of that horrible, horrible day.
The Arcosian, or, well, the purple Arcosian had been making her way through the snowy and rugged land below in an attempt to locate a new dwelling for herself. Even if she could have returned to her half melted dwelling upon Mt. Frappe, the Arcosian... didn't feel very comfortable being there. Not only because now all of her (steadily growing) enemies knew where she could be found, but because being there had caused a rather painful set of flashbacks to run through her mind. The helplessness... the pain... everything that had occurred during the events at the mountain had all come rushing back, and while she bottled it up Aurora still knew that staying there wasn't going to be sustainable. Thus, she had decided it was time to move out. It would take some time to find a resting place as optimal as Mt. Frappe's had been, but she could (and had been) stay with friends until she found one. It was only through her new scouter that she had been alerted to the small (even for her kind) Arcosian's presence, and she had felt obligated to investigate.
Much to her surprise, instead of an alien or yet another Saiyan, the mysterious signature had turned out to be one of her own kind. Normally that wouldn't have been anything of import, but... Aurora hadn't even seen a member of her own species, ever since fleeing Arcose. It had almost been enough to make her usual mask of stoic calm break. Fortunately, or unfortunately, she had caught onto the stranger's words before anything could have been said.

A silken tone caressed his ears. At first he thought it had come from the stormy skies themselves, as if some strange deity had reached out to console him in this moment of weakness.
Draft spun around, his eyes widening at the sight of a fellow Arcosian. Not just any Arcosian. She was a veritable princess, heir to the main branch family within the Arctos clan. He'd only ever seen her a handful of times, once as an infant, then as a child growing up on Arcose.
Even as he traveled in his duties as a soldier for the World Trade Fleet, rumors of Aurora Arctos abounded, spoken in subdued hues of awe. She may have been the most powerful member of their entire clan, if not their entire race. Yet here she was in the same forgotten place as himself.
Destiny was a strange and fickle mistress.
"Pardon me, ma'am." He bowed deep, a show of respect. "Mine are no more than the mundane ramblings of a discontent heart. I don't actually hate our home world—I only wish much of my life there had been different."
He was small in his base form, even by Arcosian standards. He drank in Aurora's graceful, slender frame and all at once could determine the many powerful gifts she might have possessed. She brought with her a familiar chill that reminded him of the frozen wastes of their home world, and it only caused his nostalgia to grow worse.
Even his hands shook in her presence which he quickly hid behind his back. Unable to meet her crimson gaze for long, he lowered his gaze to the distant slopes far below. He felt stark naked in this form. It felt inappropriate.
"It is an honor to be in your presence." His oily grin slid into place. He would stop at nothing to placate this woman, despite being many years her elder. "Tales of your exploits abound, to be certain. I should never dream of undoing the great work you've no doubt labored for in bringing change to Arcose. Unfortunately, I was not present during that time of duress with Aizu."
Draft bowed again, regaining a bit of his composure. Transforming into his true form now would seem silly. He tried to convince himself it didn't matter, but such was a lost opportunity to show Aurora that he, too, had grown quite a bit.
"I doubt you even remember me... I'm from one of the lesser family branches. My name is Draft."
He thought of taking her hand and planting a kiss upon it, but the act would seem too forward and desperate. He was desperate, to be sure, but he had his own image to maintain.
"What are you doing in such a place as this, my lady? Surely there are far better dwellings for one such as yourself?"
